My experiences were positive ones. I brought in some jewelry for appraisal, cleaning and repair. Polly did an amazing job walking through the many options of what to do with the jewelry and answered questions patiently, even purchasing some pieces I no longer had use for. My kid has two rings that had gotten twisted out of shape, and we wanted to see if we could get them fixed professionally. They are just very inexpensive rings, but they fixed them within 5 minutes for us, and checked and cleaned my ring too, without charging us anything. Siegels did an excellent job of resizing my wedding ring a few years ago, and my husband will be taking his ring in for resizing soon as well.

I went in to have a ring I just purchased appraised to make sure it was worth what I paid for it. They were very kind, handled me immediately, and were very professional. I always remember places that have good customer service, and in the future for my jewelry needs, Ill be back!

Siegel’s resized and remounted my diamond ring. The service was superb and the workmanship was outstanding. No one does it better.

I somehow managed to get my watch caught between the seat and the counsel in my van. The watch closure became bent and would no longer stay closed. The watch also needed a new battery. Yesterday we took my watch to Siegel Jewelry. Twenty minutes and $28 later we left with a working watch which now stayed closed. Amazing service, amazing people amazing time frame, amazing price. I came here to have my wedding ring cut off when my finger became swollen and sore. They removed it quickly and at no cost. I returned to have it re-sized and cleaned. They had it ready for me 24 hrs later sparkling and fitting much better. They were very friendly, helpful, and I would highly recommend them.

Unfortunately they did not honor their promise to have the ring sized after purchase. Was told to come in anytime and get ring sized. But apparently their system is faulty and did not save our transaction. Regardless if a purchase was done in 2016 you should honor your promise to customers or at least offer a discount.Dog in the store was cute though.

I had a good experience getting my ring resized with Siegel Jewelers! They worked very quickly and had my ring available the next day which was much faster than I was expecting! We first came to the Siegel jewelry store in Woodland Mall in December 1980. My husband bought me my first diamond pendant necklace from the senior Mr Siegel then. And for the past 32 years, every piece of fine jewelry Ive ever owned was purchased at Siegel. I have learned so much about fine jewelries from the salespeople at Siegel. We had been a loyal customer of Siegel Jewelers until we left Michigan in 2012 to retire in Texas, and even so, every time we return to Michigan, we would stop by the store to visit. Our favorite salesmen, Paul & Joe, have since retired as well but the new salespeople are just as attentive and excellent. Living in Texas, we would send our jewelries back to Siegel in Grand Rapids, Michigan for repair as we trust only Siegel to do the best job possible. I would recommend Siegel to anyone who appreciates fine jewelries, good workmanship and excellent customers service.

Had a silver plated antique candelabra repaired by Danny, the jeweler. He welded the very heavy top part to the base of the candelabra. He did an amazing job! Couldnt even tell where the repair was. Plan on using it as our advent centerpiece for the holidays. Thank-you, Danny.

This was my first time at this new Siegel Jewelers location and I was very impressed how beautiful and large the selection of jewelry was there! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was happy to know they have their own watchmaker on staff because several watches needed attention. I know I will be visiting this store in the future!

With the start of this issue for watch repair, I looked on-line for a reputable jeweler for the repair of my watch. Even though residing in Wisconsin, businesses where I reside had much lower positive reviews, I decided to go with Siegels for repair even though their business is located in Lower Michigan. I contacted by phone explaining what occurred with my watch and damage.. The person then transferred my call to Matt (watch service rep). I was in contact with Matt either by phone or email. Matt kepted me in the loop on what was wrong, different options for the repair along with cost options. If I had questions during the process, I received a response within a few hours. So very satisfied with their customer service department. Would recommend this business anytime to others.

Stopped in here on a tight deadline after running into multiple stores and I was helped right away to find a special small ring! Incredible cordial and helpful, very knowledgeable on their rings and stones (as well as patient as I stared at 2 different rings for about 10 minutes). I had several mechanical watches that needed attention. A vintage watch from my grandfather that needed servicing, a new watch not keeping good time and a project watch I was working on but had gotten stuck. I spent a while looking for a watchmaker in the Grand Rapids area until I found Matt at Siegel Jewelers. Professional watchmaking is becoming a lost art. Matt was immediately responsive to emails answering questions and giving advice. The new watch that needed regulating and the project watch were done very quickly and have been running great. Servicing and mainspring on the vintage watch is a larger job and is understandably going to take longer. I am looking forward to having it back in top condition and will likely add to this review at that time. Thanks Matt!

My go-to jeweler in Grand Rapids! In addition to having gorgeous diamonds and gems, they can pretty much fix any piece of jewelry. I recently got my necklace stuck inside my coat zipper and Danny (the best jewelry-fix-it-man ever) was able to get it out without cutting my necklace or my zipper!

These guys were one of the only ones around able to fix my high end watch. They got it done the same day and for a reasonable price and were also able to help me get a gift for my wife. Would highly recommend coming here they are wonderful people and helped me out so much.

My fiancee got my engagement ring from Siegel and had nothing but good things to say about his experience. The day after he proposed I had a question about the ring, took it in, and was greeted with repeated congratulations from the staff. They took time to examine my ring, fix something that was off, and even cleaned another ring at no charge while I waited. They were so friendly and helpful. I just purchased an immaculate engagement ring. It was a stressful and overwhelming task until I worked with the staff here. They helped me find the perfect ring. After proposing we took the ring to a local jewelry store to have a brace put on until we have it fitted and even the workers there were impressed. I am one hundred and ten percent satisfied with my purchase and would recommend Siegel Jewelers to anyone! And the price was beyond affordable!! 5 stars across the board!!

Not only did I walk in with my engagement ring (embarrassingly) stuck firmly on my finger from shoving it on my ring finger due to excitement, the staff took great care of taking the ring off and maintaining its beauty. Furthermore, the cold weather made my fingers smaller than usual when picking up the ring and caused my newly-resized ring to feel too large. Staff gave me the recommendation to wait-it-out and I feel SO much better after wearing the ring for a few days. Lastly, they estimated the resizing to take 3 days, but it was finished in roughly 24 hours!! I am extremely happy with my decision to take my ring to Siegels and thankful for their kind and professional manner.

I had a wonderful experience at Siegel Jewelers for a jewelry repair. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted and taken care of. Polly was amazing! She really took the time to get to know me and even pronounce my name correctly. My repair was ready the very next business day, exactly as they had predicted. They were also open until 7 pm, which allowed me to drop in after work around 5 pm- so convenient! When I returned to pick up my repair, Polly knew me by name. My repair only cost me $22, and yet I was treated as if I was a princess who walked in to buy diamonds! I will definitely be back with my entire family!

While everyone in the world will have some sort of negative experience with a business at some point in their lives, how a company responds can really change your perspective. Siegel Jewelers placed a donation to the charity of our choice as an act of good faith. This was a wonderful gesture!Writing on behalf of my fiancee: The jewelers lack of customer service caused my fiancee to go into a tizzy. They tried to charge him an additional $3,000 for my engagement ring. Once he talked with them and they realized the mistake he continue to have problems- When he got the appraisal they undervalued it by $2,000. (He had to have them redo this twice since they did it wrong 2x). In addition, after he paid what he owed, he received a bill for another $300 in the mail that was incorrect (which by the way I found before he even proposed ultimately ruining the surprise). Im so disappointed that my ring caused such a headache for him. We will not be going to this jeweler for our wedding bands, and my fiancee has already steered clear a couple friends looking for a diamond to not use this jeweler. I am truly sorry that it got to this point that I feel the need to write a review about a local business. If you use this jeweler be vigilant with every penny they try to charge you.I am glad so many people had good experiences with them. Unfortunately we were not one of them.

I had a gold chain with a broken link so I brought it in to see what they could do. The place was clean and simple in an elegant sort of way. I was helped within 5 minutes (only because all available clerks were busy) and the lady I talked to was very nice. She quoted me my price up front and even checked some things on the chain that I wouldnt have thought about to make sure the repair was worth it. The price was reasonable and the repair done in a timely manner (2 days). Definitely would recommend Siegels for any type of jewelry repair.

I hear a lot of comments on here about how excellent this jewelry store is and how they pay top dollar for jewelry but I didnt see it that way. I go there this morning to sell jewelry and I get offended with an offer for 1/8 of what its worth. I was offered $1495.00 for $13,000.00 in jewelry. When I was shown what they would give me I said No, This is $13,000.00 in jewelry. He snickered. I will never go back.

While we like our wedding bands and appreciated the knowledgeable staff, they did mess up our order. One of the bands got delayed and then we weren’t notified when it was ready to be picked up. Didn’t receive a text notification nor a phone call like they did for the first band even though they claimed to have sent a text. Triple check to make sure they understand your order and just call them to ask if it’s ready. Don’t trust their notification alerts.

Family owned and operated for many years. They have a bench guy who can fix almost anything. Jason is a gem knowledgeable person. They specializes in antique, vintage and estate jewelry. Every month something special going on. Has a $100 special every month that is definitely worth the price.

This was the fourth jeweler I visited looking for an engagement ring and Polly went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and was very patient with me. I was on a difficult timeline and she was able to expedite the delivery and preparation of the ring I wanted. Purchasing the engagement ring initially was great, service was superior. We purchased our wedding rings months after and the service was hit or miss, one individual in particular. We had the ring cleaned and inspected recently and was told the ring looked wonderful. A couple months later we found a missing diamond in the cushion, when we dropped it off for repair the same individual that inspected it a few months back dropped the ring on the ground. After repair I picked the ring up today and this same individual dropped the ring again on the ground prior to handing me the repaired clean ring. Everyone I have worked with has been a joy but one apple spoils the bunch. I’ll continue to shop here but will avoid the individual due to the lack of respect and ownership of customers assets.

I went into Siegels looking for help with shortening a Skagen watch band. I was prepared to leave the watch so they could do the work. The next thing I know, the band has been shortened and cleaned up and the store clerk is handing my watch to me. I ask him, What do I owe you? His response was You dont owe us anything. But if youd like to write a review on Google, that would be great. Well, here I am doing just that...excellent service, excellent customer relations, and all around a rare event these days.
