Right on Ionia. Its awesome to have a late night sweets shop. Will be really nice in the summer. Does serve ice cream and you can make ice cream sandwiches with the cookies. Cute edible messages can be put in bigger Cookies. Cookies are decent tasting.

Very rude employees my first and last time there never made it to order ice cream so I don’t have a lot to say about that except for the prices are truly inflated. Walked in informed the young man it was my first time there just walked over from a movie at studio park and my granddaughter desperately wanted chocolate ice cream so ask ho does this thing work and basically he said read the menu after doing so I still wasn’t quite sure how things went so I had a few more questions The ice cream is very expensive I didn’t want to get her a huge combination she couldn’t finish so then the employee just walks away from the counter and sends who I guess was the manager after also telling him it was our first time there and I really didn’t understand the menu I explained to him where I was having trouble so me and him kinda broke it down together so I place my order only then after all that he tells me they are a no cash restaurant. If I loved where I worked and someone comes and enquirers about the restaurant I’d be happy to explain all about us and the different ideas you could come up with especially someone that walks in with two children ready for ice cream Insomnia you lost a customer for life and I’m definitely telling all my friends this is not a kid friendly place to have a good ice cream experience

I ordered Insomnia cookies last Friday for delivery. I ordered 50 cookies and spoke to an employee when I placed an order. I was quoted a 2 hour delivery time. I called the store when our cookies were a half hour behind schedule. I was informed my order had been cancelled automatically due to orders over 50 needing more than 24 hours. I was not informed of this when I placed the order and felt it was wrong that I had to call the store directly instead of receiving a courtesy call that there was a problem. Five days later I have still not been refunded my money which was a significant amount. I called the store again and was told there was nothing that could be done to help me and was quickly dismissed when I tried to elevate my concern. I am not a person who will often complain publicly but I feel that others should be aware this establishment does not put their customers first.

I have never been disappointed. There were many negative reviews about the attitude of staff, but I had no issue! Not to mention the cookies were great. They now have a limit of 5 at a time.

This place is a dream come true. They have an excellent assortment of cookies all of which are sold fresh baked out of the oven same with their brownies. They also have a small but good assortment of ice cream to be used in their ice cream cookie sandwiches or you can buy it separate also they do shakes! They are a little pricey, but for what you get its well worth it. They also deliver, the hours vary depending on the weeknight. Pretty sure they deliver up until 1 or 2am on the weekends. Theyre warning they are not accepting any cash payments right now and also parking can sometimes be scarce in the neighborhood.

Insanely rude staff- loud and abrasive. Awful customer service.Stopped once and will never be returning. My money goes to places that run a good business and deserve it.

When I bought these cookies I thought i was mainly paying for the convenience of having warm cookies right out of the oven, not that they were especially high quality. Well, I was completely wrong. I bought a dozen cookies and they lasted me a whole week and still tasted pretty fresh. I’m .4 miles away and ordered 90 minutes ago. I got a text an hour ago saying the driver was on the way….still no cookies. I called the store and the bored girl on the phone said “the driver was making other stops and….uhhh…should be there soon”How are cookies and milk this slow? Stopped for some late night cookies on a quick trip to GR this weekend - excellent service and excellent sweets. I am sure the pressure placed on staff during this time is immeasurable and they didn’t miss a beat. They deserve to be recognized for their upbeat, friendly service!

I stopped today on my way from work (made a special trip downtown, parked and walked) only to find the door locked with a sign that said you had to order online. I was just getting ready to see if I could do it on my phone right there when the sole employee unlocked the door, pointed to the sign and said online orders only. I asked if they were still doing the free cookie special for nurses, she said yes but she was working alone and the cookies were basically gone. Recommended I try placing an order online for tomorrow but she didnt know if you could place online orders for the special deal so said I should just call customer service. I realize being understaffed is not her fault but she wasnt very nice and if the company cant keep up with orders on a busy weekend like Mothers Day they definitely shouldnt run free cookie specials for teachers and nurses. I certainly didnt need free cookies but I could have saved quite a bit of time not going downtown if I had realized they wouldnt even try to take the order.

Was offered a discount for nurses week, went in to order cookies was told they decided they were only taking online orders because of mothers day and it is only Friday. I appreciated the offer of free cookies but we came all this way for nothing because they wouldnt serve us. Very disappointing

I brought some students of mine there last week. There were 9 of us. We took turns going in while the others waited because they only allow 3 people in at a time. The last of my students came out and one of the employees opened the door literally 10 seconds later and told us that we couldn’t loiter there and asked us to leave…we just had 9 people order purchase from you. We won’t be back.

My husband and I decided to go for a walk downtown. We decided to get some cookies. The sign outside said no more than 3 people at a time in the store , so my husband and I & another couple went back outside. The other couple decided not to wait. One of the customers came out of the building that left 2 people in the store so my husband walked in and was told he had to wait outside. He said your sign says 3 people at a time. The Clerk said we just changed the rule and now its 3 people in the same party. We decided to leave because thats not what the sign said. And why did the rule Change when my husband walked in. Well insomnia you just lost customers. I dont want to pull the race card but it makes you wonder.

These cookies are almost better than grandmas cookies fresh out of the oven. The truly best part about Insomnia Cookies is that they are open late into the night unlike grandmas house.

Ordered online, which went fine, but their tracking/notification system for deliveries is poor and inaccurate.They also got my order wrong and sent the wrong type of ice cream. Not a huge deal, but its hard to imagine how someone could pack the wrong ice cream flavor (not even toppings) when there are about six choices. I did call to ask to either have the correct flavor sent or a refund, and was told that they couldnt get a hold of the bakery. I was basically told they would try, but that they couldnt do anything without contacting the bakery. I probably wouldnt be upset if they hadnt sent me Superman ice cream, which is basically bubblegum flavor.

Visiting Grand Rapids from out of town and wanted some late night dessert. At 11:42pm I called to make sure they were open and was told they were until 1AM. I arrived at 11:50pm and was told that they were closed even though I walked through the front door! The young lady that greeted us informed me that the dining room was closed and that an online order needed to be placed. At the same time, someone from the back said that they were closed and refused to serve me. I called only 8 minutes prior and was told that I had more than an hour to make a purchase!!! Totally unprofessional and overall ridiculous!

My one and only time here... Cookies were good, prices are a bit on the high side for what you get, and the staff was a bit snippy with the customers that came in behind me. Good product, bad attitude!

I visited about a month ago. I got a cookie sandwich with frosting in the middle. Tasted great. They need more than one employee so that they can use the restroom while not making customers wait and wonder if theyre really open or not. Im always leary of cleanliness at food places. I cant say one way or another for this place. I wish I could say with surety that its a clean place to eat, but I just dont know. The price is a bit absurd. Not sure if Ill return. The employee didnt greet me or say much at all.

Honestly this place was awesome. The staff was friendly polite and positive. Full of information and very informative on all of their products and specials. Cookies are cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth. My first time eating at Insomnia Cookies was a 10 out of 10 and I am definitely doing it again.

This store is a train wreck. No Management period. Items missing from orders upon pick up and delivery. To get in touch with the store you have to contact an 800# then in 24 to 48hrs they contact you back. Horrible Customer Service. Avoid at all costs.

My experience was seamless. Placed the order and was delivered in about 15-20 minutes. Got the exact cookies I ordered, the cookies were warm, and the delivery guy was very nice! Dont know how everyone elses experience has been, but it couldnt have been any better for me!

My order was supposed to be ready at 6:45 I got a text at 6:40 saying my order was ready and if I choose to do curbside pick up please call this number I was on the call ringing and ringingFor 10 minutes for them to curbside pick up so I had to get my new baby out of the car go inside still on hold or still on the phone with the curbside ringing and try to tell them that you guys need to have a better way of curbside pick up because you still havent picked up the phone for 15 minutes

Employees have bitter attitudes, and barely even speak to one another, one day after the other, i went to this place and both times they gave me a wrong cookie. a couple of them were undercooked

This place is absolutely terrible. The worker there was extremely rude to us and we ended up leaving after waiting 30 mins because the worker was rude and extremely slow. DO NOT GO HERE. The staff needs to be polite if they want business. I can clearly see why they can’t find people to work there with that kind of environment.

They forgot one of our milks, but handled it so well and more than made up for the mistake. Fantastic and the cookies are incredible.

Wish I could give this place zero stars. What an AWFUL experience. A few co workers and I decided to order some cookies and try this place out. We ordered 2 dozen cookies and 3 bottles of milk. We were told it would be delivered around noon. At around 1245 we call the store. After being put on hold for over 5 minutes someone gets on the line and tells is that postmates never sent a driver so the order is still at the store. They say they will call back at 115 if no driver has shown up by then. So cut to 2pm the cookies with no milk were dropped on the other side of the street and brought to us by a patient who was coming for an appt who just happened to see them. Not individually wrapped, boxes not sealed...who know who could have done what to them. We arent going to eat them now and so we are out $40 and the cookies we wanted to have as a treat to get through the day. Save some time and energy and avoid this place. They SUCK!!!!!

Ive placed 3 deliverys total. I live within a half mile of this location and each delivery has taken over an hour including the one Im waiting on now that was placed an hour ago..... I placed the orders around 7pm, 9pm, and 11:30pm. Theres no good time to order from here!

There is no direct contact information for the store. The remote customer service representatives are incompetent, extremely rude, and it took four tries to get an answer from someone on the line. The Grand Rapids location in particular does not provide timeframes for delivery, does not send update emails, and is overall very slow. I will not be ordering from here again.
