I recently ordered some tire/wheels from Venom and they gave me a great deal and accomplished it on the date and time frame they stated. They also included installing a 2.5 Ready Lift spacer kit for me on my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. Additionally they included some extras at no cost to make sure the job was done right!I would highly recommend them!Wheels - 17x10 Fuel ShoksTires - 37x12.5 Nittos A/T

Do NOT go here. I went threw them to get my truck lifted. Went in and had them place all orders on everything including lift, tires, rims, new control arms, etc… it took over 6 months before they were ready for me to bring my truck in to start the build. Finally got my truck back. Had some issues awhile later with the lift which wasn’t their fault but I brought it back to them to get it fixed and they gave me a quote of $500 To get everything fixed. When I got the call saying my truck was done they said that I owed $1600, triple of what the original quote was. They did not call me giving me a heads up or anything. Now, my truck can Barely even turn because the tires rub so bad since they did not align the front adjustable upper control arms correctly. Also, they put a new cv shaft in (not sure why because the one I had was completely fine all it needed was a new rubber boot not the whole shaft) and that sheered right out of the hub as soon as I put it in 4wd the first time since they fixed it. Find another shop, do NOT go to venom.

Weve heard of Venom from a friend and decided about a year ago to try them. The staff is so knowledgeable about Jeeps and made amazing suggestions about/for our Wrangler. We listened and they were 100% correct about the ride and feel we were going for. We have been back multiple times for upgrades and will continue to do so because of their work ethic and pride in their work. Today Im getting replacement headlights put in and cant be more happy. Thanks guys for fitting us in!Kerry

Venom Motorsports did an excellent job putting a Metalcloak 3.5 lift on my 2012 JK Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Very reasonable price. Also will check tires at 100 miles and then go over whole lift between 500 - 1000 miles. Venom also has a great selection of wheels, parts & accessories and a clearance section. Very clean & organized workshop. Thanks Venom for your outstanding services!

Overall had a good experience with Venom and could not be happier with my lift kit/tires they installed on my 4Runner.Initially there was a National back order delay for my new tires due to Covid 19. Though a single email and a voicemail on my part we’re not returned during the interim, Venom did proceed with ordering my tires and maintained my initial scheduled appointment. They worked with me and my very chaotic schedule, even picking me up in style (70’s Rambler) to avoid me paying for an Uber. After picking up my rig, there was an issue noted at interstate speeds where my fender liner would catch the wind and rub the tire, only above 60 MPH. I dropped by the following day and they immediately assessed and fixed the problem, sending me on my way within 30 mins.I worked with both Jim and John during this experience. As someone who overly researches and reviews companies/products, I initially had some concerns for the “mixed reviews” on google. In hindsight, these concerns were a waste of my time. Jim and John both have lots of experience and with that, great eyes for subtle details. If you want your rig/project modified to the highest standard, Venom is the place to go. They made every effort to make this a great experience for me. I fully intend on using them for future modifications for my rig.

Trevor helped me and he was great. They did a great job on my vehicle. I recommend that if youre thinking about modifying your vehicle in anyway, you do some research first, take a picture of your vehicle, find a picture of a vehicle that has the look you are trying to achieve, then show them. It helps the process. With so many measurements of tires, lifts, brands, and looks. Itss easier to look at a picture to start the process.

These guys are AMAZING! Dont be afraid to walk into their shop and ask dumb questions. I am a new truck owner who had very little knowledge about this stuff. The venom staff picked up on that very quickly, and made me feel extremely comfortable within the walls of their business. They walked me through every little detail with a language an average consumer can understand. In my opinion, adapting to your customers is the highest level of customer service. I highly recommend anyone to check them out and see what they have to offer. These guys will be the only professionals i let lay a hand on my vehicle from now on. Trust these guys, they will impress you.

Cant even begin to express my gratitude or satisfaction with Jim and his techs at Venom. I had a LOT of questions and concerns, not only were they all addressed but they showed me hands on with my own vehicle whats what and how or why it works or wasnt good anymore. As a female and a first time customer with minimal(but some) knowledge of vehicles it was the best fix it shop experience Ive had any place in Grand Rapids. They went above and beyond on my vehicle. I also think that for a customs/mods kind of shop their prices are very reasonable. They just gained two life time customers in this one experience.

This happened about 6 years ago and I have not written about it but I literally start thinking about it from time to time and it bugs me so much that I feel I need to share.I brought in a 2013 4Runner and talked to them about installing a leveling kit. They took a look at the available part options and we decided on a kit and they ordered it. I scheduled time to have it put on. They stated that the install would take a full day because of other work and that I should just drop off the vehicle the night before and pick it up when they called the following day.Come the day of the install, I receive a call late morning, stating that they had ordered the wrong parts and that they would not be able to perform the install. They said they could order the parts again and I would have to reschedule the install. Not great but things happen.A few days went by and we dropped the vehicle off again. They performed the install and called when it was done. I went and picked it up and started driving home as the shop was closing. The level looked great and was exactly what I was looking for.As I was going down the East Beltline to go home, I noticed that my brakes were really soft. After a few stops, determined that something was wrong and I turned around and went back toward the shop. I barely had brakes. Granted, this car had zero brake issues when I dropped it off. It was nearly new. When I arrived , they were closed and no one was around so I decided to limp home. The next day, with no time to go all the way to the other side of town back to Venom, I brought the vehicle to a local mechanic that is right down the street from my home. I told them about the level and the brake issue I was having. They called me back an hour later and stated that the issue was that the main nut that holds the wheel hubs on the front were not tightened all the way and that is what was causing my brake issues. They tightened them and all was well. They stated that the lose fasteners could have damaged the bearings but that it looked fine and that I avoided a more costly repair. They charged me $50. Honesty, no biggie and I was willing to eat the cost. Again, things happen.Shortly after I picked my car up from my mechanic, I decided to call Venom to just let them know what had happened as a heads-up. Upon answering, I explained that I had a brake issue when I left their shop and before I could explain that I got it fixed and talk about the cause of it, the guy on the phone started screaming at me and literally dropping F bombs, stating that I was lying and that they didn’t touch the brakes and that I was full of shi*. Once he stopped screaming at me, I explained that it was due to a lose fastener and he immediately calmed down and said, “Oh.” I asked if I should bring the truck in to have them take another look just to make sure everything was good and he said, “Sure.”I brought the vehicle in a few days later, they looked at it, said it was fine. After the interaction with the guy on the phone and the massive issue I had with my brakes I assumed that there would be an explanation as to why no one drove it after the install and the completely inappropriate phone conversation that I had with them. Nothing. The guy that was yelling at me on the phone, big guy, super intimidating, was in the shop, ignored me even though he knew who I was while I explained the situation to the person at the desk. I also came in for the inspection thinking they would jump on it given the situation. Nope. It was scheduled and they made me wait for 2 hours before they even started looking at my car.Never again. Super shady place with people that lack integrity and would not own up to a massive mistake that they made. A simple acknowledgement of the mistake and perhaps an apology for the phone call would have gone a long way. There are other shops in town that offer these types of services. I would highly suggest that you look elsewhere. This stands out as the single most negative customer service experience I’ve had. Ever.

Shop around before bringing repair job to this place. I went in to have a pinion seal and pinion bearings replaced. The guy at the counter said it would be about 400$ plus parts plus 100$ to diagnose. They looked at it and said it would be over 1000$ to replace the bearings and pinion seal. Well more than what he had told me at the counter. Needless to say I was still charged 75$ just to have their mechanic look at it. Not do anything to it, just look at it. I should have consulted the local Jeep community before doing business. Lesson learned.

Kind of a lengthy review, but I had quite the experience. I just purchased a 2014 Ford Raptor and knew the shocks needed to be rebuilt. After 3 unreturned calls and multiple follow ups on Facebook messenger, I got it scheduled. I dropped it off during one evening leveraging the key drop off. They called me the next day to tell me my truck got delayed a day. After a few days, they called me to inform me that front shocks were in terrible shape. I accepted that, risk of being used and told them to continue. It took well over 2 weeks to get the shock components in. I had to call them for a follow up because they didn’t. I would call and never get a hold of anyone. I don’t understand why picking up the phone is such a struggle all the time. The rears ended up needing a new set which delayed this even more. I don’t blame them for vendor availability limitations, but lack of communication is preventable. After not having the truck for over a MONTH, I finally got it back. Fast forward 4 days, I kept hearing a “thunk” in the rear, so I called them to ask why it is doing that. I found out by looking over the truck that the rear shock bolts were not tighten down and lost the rear washers due this. Lucky, I had spare ones. Being pretty upset, I fixed itself myself. Spending $4200 for this job,I expected it to be done right. I called back and told the shop I found the issue and fixed it myself. They didn’t offer anything else forthis potentially huge issue - saying I’m not happy would be suffice.

Called and scheduled to have springs and a leveling kit installed on my truck. I scheduled the appointment 3 weeks out from the day I called. I even called a few days before to make sure everything was good to go since I did not receive an email confirmation like they said I would get. When I get there, they seem as they don’t know what’s going on. And then Jim tells me he forgot to order the parts. After reading the reviews about poor customer service I still chose to give them a chance. That was a mistake. So I called a different shop as I was walking out the door and I saved $300 on the whole job. Guess it was a blessing in disguise

Cannot Be Trusted!Parts from a lift kit that I purchased and provided to them were not installed on my vehicle.A day or so after the install I noticed that the $100 set of brake lines that came with my lift kit were missing.I called to inquire about the missing parts and the explanation was that the technician felt that the brake lines werent necessary and they ended up in his tool box. Hmmm...There was no mention that the brake lines werent installed when I picked up my Jeep and the parts were not given back to me.They did however end up installing them, after I caught them red handed, but it was a real hassle having to take more time off of work to bring my Jeep in there yet again.Did they offer to compensate me for my time and inconvenience like any respectable business would? Nope! I guess it was my fault that the brake lines were stolen. They also damaged one of my rims, which they did end up replacing with a new one. 3 weeks later.Double check their work, guys! Im sure Im not the first customer theyve done this to.UPDATE: Will be contacting BBB about these scammers soon. Stay tuned...

Screw this place and their horrible customer service. Do not answer phones in the afternoon, never called me back. If they really didnt want my money i wish they wouldve just told me. I honestly do not understand. Maybe theyre racist and dont like brown people (not saying they are, i just dont understand why they didnt want my business). I just cant believe that I can call all afternoon for multiple days and no one can be bothered to answer or return my voicemails. When we did finally set up for a certain day I dropped off my truck, took an Uber back (45 min trip, so not cheap) then called to see if it was ready, no answer, so I left a voicemail...never heard back so I decided it had to be ready so I took another Uber there, and it turns out that the parts never got there so my truck was never worked on. Wouldve been nice to get a call and told so. (Now im out $60 on Uber fare) Ryan says he called (after I called in the late afternoon) but call wouldnt go through, even though every other person who called me that day did. Im sure he knew parts were not coming in prior to 4:00pm. After all this I even called the next day...no answer...left a voicemail to see when parts would be in and if I could be rescheduled... and have never heard back. Like i said, I just dont know why they dont want my money. I guess Ill go spend 4k somewhere else. Im sure this review wont hurt their business as they seem to be busy enough to not want my business, but maybe Im not the first one to get treated like this. Not recommending to anyone.
