Quirky and eclectic coffee shop with lots of options! theyve got breakfast and lunch along with pastries. I got an iced coffee and they have coffee ice cubes (love that), but they have tons of other drinks. I went on a Monday morning and it wasnt too busy but apparently it gets pretty busy on the weekends so you can order ahead online. workers were super friendly, inviting and attentive. Ill definitely be back next time Im in town!

Better than Starbucks by far!!!! I commute a lot through junction and this is where I always stop. The food is amazing, the coffee is awesome and doesn’t taste burnt and the baked goods are all fresh. Yum!! Also another bonus is that it’s right off the highway and close to a gas station!!!! Go here! Get a punch card

This place was awesome, and the lattes are great! The redhead lady that works the register was wonderful.... and theyve got all kinds of cool and inappropriate things I almost couldnt leave LOL... I did buy a few things and Im posting pictures of those things...but, the one thing I wanted the most was this little stuffed octopus for my cat, and it was not for sale.... So disappointed in that... I guess I will have to find it on eBay

Spending your money here is a losing proposition! I believe that an establishment’s going for counter-culture cool and ending up freakish doesn’t earn counter culture points. Octopus Coffee on Horizon Dr. in Grand Junction, Colorado advertises as a cute and homey spot for fresh food and a great cup of joe. Unfortunately, it is dirty and cramped inside and their food display case was almost empty! They have candles and other items for sale that are not kid / family appropriate including an obvious sign on the wall mocking God that reads, “God was my Copilot until we crashed and I ate him” (see photo.) Lots of better options, recommend steering clear of this one.

Funky is fine. Down to Earth is a plus. I like Octopuses (and squid too).So why the 1 Star Review??Enjoy your freedom by finding better places to go than Octopus Coffee in Grand Junction Colorado. There are many better options that are also near the airport, along Horizon Drive, down 12th Street and also down 7th Street.4 photos are attached. See how the table was so close to the bench that I had to sit side-saddle because my legs would not fit under the table. I could have rearranged the furniture, but I like to be respectful and experience a vendor’s offering as it is presented. The photo of the counter shows how cluttered and hectic the Octopus Coffee environment feels. I like color and vitality, but a jumble-tangled mess of stuff leaves us lacking a nice gazing area while talking, sipping and munching. Too cluttered and lacking connection, style or real funkiness. It is also awkward that there is no menu / price board and they make you stare at office-sized paper menus at the register. Now I understand why so many reviewers mention slow lines. From hotel for takeout, ice cubes, vanilla cinnamon rolls, bagel w/ cream cheese, baked goods or a veggie sammie it is not worth the trip. The coat rack of cosplay-Goth stuff is weird. It is all cheap plastic, a silly version of a viking helmet, a plastic candle, witch’s hat and a mask. Why not spend something and give the guests real vintage / carnival quirky items to view, if that is the decorative angle of owner’s tastes? Odd decor lacking quality and message. Remember, both octopuses and squid are high-traction dressers (lots of suction) so, as you secretly suspect, no self-respecting octopus wants those dumb things. Our beverages were okay. There is better down the road, every way you turn – there’s the Starbucks on 12th and Patterson too. And those establishments accomplish a true respect to marine life. They don’t abuse the octopus in an attempt to lure unsuspecting citizen-coffee-shop-patrons into anti-octopus activity. Don’t be an easy mark, some suckers are easily baited into this fanciful misrepresentation of the REAL SUCKERS OF THE SEA. Don’t be a dumbo!Notice in the photos, the cup I was given wore a pink lid and a butterfly adorned heat shield. While I support individual’s use of freedom, pushing lady gear on men is both tacky & cheesy. Coffee outfits that honor preference, rather than weirdly asserting their message both have better style and more effectively represent personal choice. Original funky local coffee shops can be better than the large chain stores, but they need to be safe and clean and funky rather than evil weird.

Went in for coffee on Sunday morning, as we were in town moving my daughter into college. What a wonderful place! The breakfast burritos are made to order and were amazing!! The cinnamon roll was fantastic! And the lattes were heaven! Loved the funky eclectic vibe of the place. Loved all the unique products for sale and the decor. This place is sorely needed in a place like Grand Junction. And the staff. What a wonderful group of young women! They wished my daughter “good luck” on the beginning of her college career. What a great group of young hard working professionals. If you are in Grand Jct and looking for something other than bland coffee served with a side of average swing by here!! We will be back.

If you find yourself in Grand Junction, Colorado, looking for a place to get well-caffeinated and have a really good meal, this is the place. They have a decent sized menu, with some tasty combinations you dont find just anywhere. They have a good selection of coffee drinks, and they have frozen coffee balls instead of regular ice cubes so your iced drinks dont get watered down. Its also a really cute place, and the people there were super nice. It was a great way to start our day.Theyre in the middle of a mini mall, kind of hard to see. Went on a Sunday morning, not busy so youd expect to get good service, but unfortunately it was short staffed and the employee seemed to be taking it out on us, paid 11 dollars for a burrito but received a flat tortilla folded around a handful of old eggs. Octopus Coffee is a great place to start your morning. My party ordered a Cuban cafe breve and an extra large Earl Grey tea. The prices are roughly comparable to Starbucks, but at Octopus, you definitely dont feel like just a number. The cafe itself wasnt super busy, which was nice, and it felt very cozy with a good atmosphere. The staff was engaging and very friendly, and made us feel right at home. They worked to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted. The coffee (a Cuban cafe breve) was nice and strong, but also sweet with the caramel tone that comes from brown sugar, and with the half & half it was like heaven in a cup. I may have tried a sip. ;)The tea was great because they offer an extra large size, which is quite substantial (see picture). So I got a lot of Earl Grey for my buck, which is something I like. They also had milk options available if you dont want half & half in your tea.Glad we visited this independent coffee shop!

We had this coffee halfway through a 10 day roadtrip and now that the trip is complete I can say it was without a doubt the best coffee we had the entire time. We placed our order ahead of time and had a small wait after we arrived due to the fact there were only a few people working but we were happy to wait and support a local business. When we got our coffee and breakfast burritos we realized the wait was more than worth it. The lattes were flavored well and the burritos were hot and a very filling breakfast. Definitely worth waiting for.

This place is everything I look for in coffee and breakfast, super unique ingredients and flavors, food made with care and thought, from the spices like cardamom and fennel in the lattes instead of cheap store bought syrups to the sandwiches and burritos made with a huge variety of veggies, meats, and cream cheeses. I absolutely loved the personality that you can see in this place within the friendly staff, the dog cookie given to our puppy, the pink coffee lids, and salads carefully packed in a cup with a biodegradable fork! The covid friendly walk up window was also a plus! We will definitely be back for some amazing pastries and more coffee before leaving town! Coffee was VERY amazing and VERY fresh. Reason for one star is the price... They are charging Starbucks(if not a smidge higher) for cups that are not of the same size(slightly smaller) Also taking a star away because they use square as the method of payment which is fine until they are giving you the look at the tip screen. $17 for two cups of (good) coffee only to feel obligated to tip 15% on top of that. Also google maps was not very accurate. Businesses will have a certain amount of $s next to the name in the buisness indicating how pricey the place is. We chose to go there thinking that it wasnt going to be very expensive since it only had 1 $ next to it and not $$ or $$$ indicating VERY pricey. Over all, GREAT coffee, cute little ma and pa hole in the wall feel to it, but VERY expensive. Would I recommend? Yes. Would I be a repeat customer? MAYBE.

I was in Junction for just a quick visit and wanted to find a tasty, quick, takeout lunch. Octopus Coffee overdelivered! We ordered online from the airport, hopped in our rental, and our meal was ready for us when we got there. What was most impressive about the experience was the super fine-tuning of everything on their online system - add, subtract anything from paninis and burritos, and dial in coffee to a level previously unimagined (e.g. 3 shots, 1 decaf or 4 shots, 3 decaf!) and they even offer a breve option if you want your drink made with half and half. Truly a place after my own heart. It was served in a safe, distanced, and friendly manner and was all super tasty. Id give 6 stars if I could!🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I feel like I need to force myself to vomit in order to expel the sandwich or go to the hospital.. my husbands burrito tasted the same and he could not finish it. Something is not right about the food or the way it is prepared..... 11:33am update: I had to make myself vomit to try and feel better. I felt like I was drugged or something, but so so weak. I had to stay in a few more hours before getting back on the road. Never ever again will I eat here. Those of you who loved it, good for you, but I had a different experience.

Burger King isn’t too far away - I imagine the food here is wonderful, as the cafe held a certain buzz for the 45min or so I was there. Unfortunately, the system that the friendly staff operates under is broken. My meal (and apparently several other customers’) was not served timely or correctly...twice for me. Eventually this (pictured) was delivered and not fully cooked.I believe the problem is the system for taking and delivering orders - which I imagine is a staple for any successful restaurant. There appears to be no standard for staff to execute this, so this is a management/ ownership (I.e. organization) issue. As a small business owner myself, I’m rooting for this cafe! My point is simple: it doesn’t matter how good your food is if people don’t or won’t eat because the service is grossly inadequate.I paid for my undercooked meal, but never ate it. The staff was tipped, and I hope ownership takes this one.
