Such a terrific store with amazing products at a great price. I’d estimate we saved probably over $700 in the last 2 years on my kiddo by shopping there. Highly recommend!

This store is clean and has a nice selection of gently used kids clothes. There is also toys and baby items. The prices were decent and there is even clearance.

Stuff is over priced for second hand, especially when you pay attention and actually compair. They dont wash or sanitize the laundry after they get it from random people.As far as dropping stuff off, its hard to go through all your childrens old stuff, make sure its laundered, ironed and in decent condition to bring to the second hand store. Then, they only take 5 items and give you a dollar sending you back home with all those clothes. Not worth the work, better off dropping it off at salvation army. More need, less greed.*Kelleher

It is awesome! I always find what Im looking for and prices are really good. Plus they are always having good deals!Also, you can tell people is really happy to work there because they are super nice and project happiness. My kids even call it the kids store, they love it❤️

I bought a bunch of clothes for a good price. I dont have to go and search for those clothes in different stores for a while. All their clothes are in good shape. They look like new.Sometimes I can find there something what I cant see in the stores.

I brought two full bags of brand new clothes and they took four shirts out of the entire bag. What a waste of time and most of the clothes and baby products they sell are Way over priced.

This place has got nice clothes and a lot of them. Shoes are nice also. They are friendly and have great service. I would recommend to any one looking for good kids clothes from new born to like size teens.

Was very friendly, even aloud me and my granddaughter to hangout in the toy area while my daughter shopped, nothing was expensive, was well organized and clean.

The store is clean and well lit. The employees are very knowledgeable about the products. They pay cash for trade ins, or exchange for different items. They have a program for points, for every dollar you spend it is one point. It has everything you will need for your baby. Clothes, toys, socks, shoes and so many more items. Come in and check it out for yourself.

Today 10/26 I went to buy my children jackets, I of course picked up extra items. Everything was fine paid for my purchase of 72.00 I walked out to my car and a lady from the store came out and told me she made a mistake undercharged me an item by a dollar. I asked why she had chased me out to my vehicle to pay a dollar with all three children. She replied it’s just a dollar. Look I get it but it’s your mistake making me run circles because you messed up. I don’t appreciate the chase, I don’t appreciate the response. I used to love this place but one mess up and I know other places that are worth my money.

Definitely not the way used to be. They arent wanting to help parents, they are just a regular business now. High prices and I gave a box of fairly nice clothes, they wouldve gave me a good trade for in the past. This time they gave me $5.30 and pretty much the whole box back. Just sad. I used to love this place. I cant tell you how many mothers I sent to this place and now Im embarrassed. It was good while it lasted though.

Great second hand kids store! There are lots of stuff to choose from from preemie/newborn up to about 2 or 3T then the selection starts to dwindle. They also have shoes and holiday items along with books and some toys. The staff is always friendly and they run sales quite often.

I really like shopping here, so that gets a star. But selling gets 2 stars. I purchased a hat from them that ended up being defective. They wouldnt accept it as a return since I didnt have the receipt, even though the tag was still attached. I put it with my items to sell them, and they wouldnt buy it!When asked about the price they were purchasing a specific item for, they werent able to tell me, so how am I to decide if I want to sell that item? They were full of explanations and reasons why, in a rude way. They could use an attitude change and some customer service training, as well as an updated system that allows returns. Come on, who saves paper receipts. What year is it, 1990?

I will rate this a 3 star. The stars are for the set up and the nice organization and the ladies were nice.For the prices I rate a 2.Im here visiting from San Diego and people always say wow expensive there, but our resale shops like these are very reasonable. Like onsies buy 2 get 1 free. Regular clothes $1.99-$4.99The $4.99 would be top brands. Sleepers are $1.99-$3.99. Also some stuff way more cheaper. I would say these prices here are a bit much for the quality of used clothes.

For the most part, I really like the store. Good prices, etc. Most of the staff is polite and smiles, but there is always that one girl.... we know the type. Never smiles, seems to think the world is trying to make her life bad. That stuff. I recommend for people on a budget for sure.

The last two times I’ve come in they have passed up most of my items. All brand name good quality stuff and the few things they do take they pay pennies for. If I wanted to donate my items I would have done so. I sell my items to be able to buy new things for my daughter. Better off selling on Facebook

This shop has a huge selection of gently used childrens clothes and toys. The store is very well organized and clean. The prices might be a touch on the higher end for a second hand clothing store, but the quality of the merchandise makes the price worth it. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I will be shopping here again!

I always sell my children’s clothes here instead of other stores because they tend to offer me more than anywhere else. The store always seems well kept and clean minus a few rowdy kids in the toy area. The only complaint I have is that the staff seem cranky at times. I brought in about 4 bags of clothes at about noon on a Saturday. I was told it would take about 2 hours to go through. I came back in a little over 2 hours to find they hadn’t even finished the first bag. I was told to wait another hour and came back in 2 just to be sure they would finish. It was still not completed. I told them I understood it was a busy Saturday and the older employee mentioned that I should have come in earlier if I was expecting a shorter wait time. I felt the comment was uncalled for especially since I gave them an hour past their estimate.

This location has a ton of great items, they also have a variety of toys and books. The people running their social media are great about putting out promotions and deals, even raffles! I personally won a $50 gift card before. I always find me self picking a few extra items because the store is organized so well and has such awesome clothing!

I get cash for my old stuff, and a great price on new (gently used) stuff. What more could you ask for? They always have a good selection of clothes, toys, strollers - all kinds of things. Just remember to bring a box of your own gently used stuff when you go. Chances are they will buy some of it, and whatever is left you can take to the Goodwill just down the road :)

About 2 weeks ago, I had went into the store to sell a bag full of baby clothes. I had them all folded nice & neat, (I had clothing sets folded together) .. I go back to the store to pick up the clothing/cash. I get home & notice they ONLY took parts of each clothing set, leaving me with an Easter bottom to a 2 piece set & a cardigan to a 3 piece set, (these clothes were purchased by me & never worn). So from there on I got a bad taste in my mouth about the store. I then went again, giving them a second chance. I try to sell some more clothes, including the clothing I tried to sell the last time (the pieces of clothing that had went with the sets). I go to pick up the clothing/cash & they tell me they didnt take some of the clothes because pieces of clothing sets dont sell well by themselves & I said yeah, last time I was here you guys took those pieces that go to the sets, when I had them folded together, which I didnt realize until I got home. She apologized, what else can she do. All I can say is find employees that pay attention! Because now I can only donate the random pieces that went to the sets, which the store should have/could have bought from me at the time being..😑

I mean, who doesnt love once upon a child?!& They were all very very polite.It sucks that you cant use your rewards cards at multiple once upon a child locations, so I have a card for Grand Junction and Glenwood lol. I rarely use my Grand Junction one though. BUT I still loved it.

I use to love shopping here, but over the last year it has really declined. The staff is not very friendly, the prices have gotten ridiculously high and they are very stingy about the clothes they take now (despite the fact that all clothes I have brought in are not stained, dirty or overly worn). I have stopped shopping here, if Im going to pay new clothing prices I will just buy new clothes

I had fallen in love with this place at the first visit; I have lived here for over four years now, and have been shopping here ever sense. However, over the course of time, I have felt that the experience gets worse and worse every-time. I wish I could pin-point just one thing; however, it ranges from the customer service reps who give you a very hard time when you need to return something, to them not providing a good value upon the things I decide to sell them, and even management. I highly doubt the toys are cleaned every night. I have become very disappointed with their service and their refusal to purchase certain items. I think we will stop going here for our childrens needs.

They have refused nicely maintained clothing and fixtures.However the current clothing in the store seems about the same if not WORSE then what I offered.For example a not so good looking high chair USED with be close to $70.Also, my experience is if you take an item say worth ten dollars and barely worn they will offer you $1. Again, I have offered them clothing and refused.Staff is not the friendliest.

They do not do fair business. I understand they are in the trade in business to profit but geez! I purchased a high end stroller in January for $250 and they had a waiting list to purchase it. I returned 6 months later to sell, being done with it and it being in still excellent condition, they offered me $36! Consumer beware!

I am so upset with this store. I used to LOVE shopping and bringing trade ins here. I literally just took 2 boxes of practically BRAND NEW items to them, no stains, freshly washed and they only took 10 items. I dont know if each individual gets to use their best judgement or what, but the way the run things is garbage. I am one seriously pissed off customer. >:(

What a wonderful store

Saw a brand new in the box bouncer from Ross for $25, but only cost $21 from Ross and had the original price blacked out. Why mark up the price? I really wanted to like this place but they really overprice some of the things they get....mostly the big items. Its fine if you just need some onesies or pjs, those prices are more reasonable.

When I first started shopping for children’s clothes a little over a year ago I loved this store. The staff was friendly each time I came in and they had very good prices, however each time I come in the experience is worse and worse. The prices are a little high for USED things. Brand new clothes could be purchased for the same price as the things they are selling. I have almost completely stopped coming here because of the combination of prices getting higher each time I visit, and the staff seeming ruder each time I visit. I brought in 2 large boxes of clothes and a bag of clothes and they hardley took 10 peices out of almost 100. I understand very well that they do not want each and evrey peice, but I have name brand items that have absolutely no stains or wear considering the majority of them were never even worn once before they were outgrown. Also, they didn’t even look through the bag of clothes I had brought, I had them neatly folded inside and tied the top so none could spill out, an hour later when I come to pick up the rest they didn’t want, the bag was still tied and the clothes folded exactly how I had placed them. I could set all of these problems aside if the staff had not been so snobby and rude about the items they did not want. Not wanting to take the items is not problem at all, but looking down on a customer and making them feel bad, like they’re below the standard is a big problem. Customers are what keeps the business going, treating them as if they’re below you for bringing in clothes to sell puts a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. I suggest management looks into this problem more considering I’ve seen numerous reviews stating they’ve had the same problem with the staff.

Nice store, but if you take items in to sell they give you practically no money. I took a brand new, used twice pack-n-play and like new high chair and they wanted to pay me $13.50 each.

The once upon a child is a great place to get clothes and equipment for kids all ages and sizes.

Good customer service, but sometimes the selection is lacking when it comes to 12 month old clothes. I might have just gone in there at the wrong time, though. Overall good place to shop for your little ones, and amazing prices!

I like to place to buy items they really cute things and sometimes theyre reasonable on their prices. When you go to sell items on the other hand and you barely get anything at all. Also the staff isnt the friendliest.

The store always has an amazing selection of clothes. Everything is kept nice and tidy and the staff is extremely friendly and always makes you feel welcome.

I had an issue about a year ago my son hit his eye on the sharp metal corner of their check out counter and not one employee stopped to make sure he was ok we had to drop everything and leave he was bleeding and screaming, oh did I mention we were the only ones there and then when I contacted the owner the said “we have never had an issue before.” They were very rude and careless if it would have been just a bit to the right it would have been his eye and they would have had a serious issue. Then we went to sell something to them and they didn’t want it which is fine however we were told we had to pick it up before they closed that day and when we did so they man behind the counter asked if we were there for a pick up my husband stated yes and he handed it to him didn’t say a word and went back to talking to the employees. The item was rather large so thankfully they had a customer that held the door and told my husband to have a good day! Ever since they sold the place it’s a joke and full of rude people, it’s a bummer I used to love this place!

Very poor customer service! Treating customers with no respect and like they are nothing, but we are the people that keep your company going. If it were not for us you would not be in business. My kids loved all the clothes they had to choose from. The prices are a little expensive for used clothes though. You can get brand new clothes at Wal-Mart for less.

Very poor customer service, I purchased a many items took them home and 3 did not fit so I took them back(within a few hours). They state sales are final so I asked for exchange and not even my money back. The guy said its not allowed. I asked for owners number. He stated he was the owner which in my mind shows even worse customer service as the owner can do anything!

Love this store. There is no reason to pay top dollar for baby items and kids clothes with this store around. Great selection always.

Staff isnt friendly at all, the staff always seems like they are very grumpy and hate their jobs!! People will bring their kids in maybe the staff could act a little more kid friendly. Also very cramped especially by the checkstands. Wish we had more options here in town. I may not return each visit is worse and worse

UPDATE SUMMER 2019... 4 StarsStore is under different ownership/management. My experiences with the store have been much more positive (shopping and selling). It can still be a bit pricey for some things- especially compared to shopping thrift stores in Denver on their sale days, and there are too many worn graphic tees on the racks. Retail space is still tight, but its well organized and they do a great job grouping items and rotating front stock. For Grand Junction, where kids retail options have become very limited, its okay. (I find more in this store than I have in much larger Once Upon a Child stores in Denver.) Youll still get a better prices on some of your larger items via Craigslist, but sometimes its nice to just be done with an item and not having it hang around the house waiting to sell!SUMMER 2016... 3 StarsThis store is okay. Retail space is a bit tight and prices are a bit on the high side for used clothing. The only time its worthwhile to shop here is with a coupon or when they have their progressive sale or $1 sale.Buy-back policies are sketchy. Their staff rejects clothes that are show wear, staining, or arent a brand/style that sells well for them. Based on personal experience, theyve also rejected clothes bought from their store one season ago that were worn a handful of times or less, and were definitely unstained and no further worn when they were taken in to be sold back. The staff has also rejected items that were purchased this past summer and in like new condition. There are often clothes on the racks that are worn, out of style and have stains. To their credit, they will provide a discount for obvious staining, and have provided a refund for an item that was totally full of holes (just not obvious due to the style of the item). The shoes at this Once Upon a Child are really gross, PJs are mostly not worthwhile. Their buy-back policy, beyond no staining, holes, obvious wear, etc. is very subjective to the particular employee doing the reviewSave your time and money and shop with coupons and sales at Childrens Place, Crazy 8, Gymboree and Kohls; the prices will be just as good (or better) and the clothing items you purchase will be brand new. Otherwise, save your shopping at Once Upon a Child for their sales, or if you have a coupon.If you have a big item (like baby gear), youll make a whole lot more money selling it yourself on Craigs List.

The lady who I spoke with about selling clothes was very VERY RUDE and disrespectful..I brought my clothes in a bag like I have done over the years. The lady was very snotty and had a sour attitude and told me that she would accept them just this once but next time she will turn them away.I went to pick up my clothes and none of my bags were touched the said they turned them away due to wear and tear... funny thing is 50% of the clothes still had tags on them and where NEVER worn.....I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO HERE!!!!!

I baught 3 pairs of jeans for my son and they didnt fit him and they only have a 7 days to exchange them out when most stores have 30 bottom line is im stuck with 3 pairs of jeans that dont even fit him i find that ridiculous i wont be back in
