I would give this location more than 1 star but me being otr...cleanliness, distance from other trucks in front of you while backing and a good washer is highly important. This is one of the nastier truck stops and do not use washer number 2, your clothes will still be soaked with water after they are done washing...I had to squeeze the rest of the water out by hand. Clearly the employees doesnt care about the cleanliness of this location. The only good thing about this location is ample parking but thats even tight when backing up as far as the space between you and the trucks in front of you. Clean showers. Food area looks clean. Washer doesnt clean clothes well at all...Ive attached a picture of my shirt and I had to pay twice to dry my clothes completely.

Nice clean area around the whole building. There are several areas where delivery vans can park with access to some shade trees over them. A great blessing for heat relief in these vans. As always, coffee is great.

By Far favorite location to stop in the state, I will go out of my way to stop here within reason. Large and Open parking, have never seen it full. A Pilot is across the street as well as a SpeedCo and a Blue Beacon.Staff is always very personable and on top of their game. Never meet an unfriendly employee yet. And when they are not super busy, people are cleaning. 99% of the time the place is spotless for a truck stop.Bathrooms are spacious and very clean. Showers are the smaller but typical size, gets the job done. Laundry room is always clean. And I have never not had toilet paper.Plenty of Diesel fuel islands. Please stop and give them your business.

The cashier was nice & helpful, once I got up to the register. I was the ninth person in line, & several customers needed complicated(?) help. I saw three other employees roaming around & one even stocking a few things behind the counter... someone shouldve opened another register. It took less than three minutes to use the restroom & find a Coco-Cola; yet, it took 18 minutes to checkout.

Clerk 450 I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but I want to give a shout out. This is one of the best service I’ve gotten so far in N.C and in the whole flying j and pilot fuel stops experience. The cashier was polite, nice and caring about other people’s safety (good hygiene practice)when handling cash and food. Thank you. A big plus ++The parking lot is big and a lot of parking spaces.The shower was clean. The shower room was a bit small but it gets the job done. I would Most definitely be staying here next time I’m around this area.

I normally come here to refuel my company truck for the tasty (albeit expensive) greek wraps. Last week I asked one of the management when they would be available and he had staff roll them out on a cart along with the other food for the day. I mentioned how I really like them. This week, I went back there to find theyve all been reduced in size and food content by almost 1/2, but are still the same price ($5.99) with the same nutrition label, except now in smaller sandwich boxes. Im done here. This FJ just lost my business for good, because Im not gonna be nickle and dimed further on stuff that is already expensive. I dont do fast food and I dont need this either, so Im sticking to my home-made salads and refueling elsewhere.

Super clean showers! Plenty of parking, and they have Dennys. The staff is super nice too... Edit: the Dennys here is awful! I called into order a burger and nobody answered the phone so I kept calling back and they finally answered the phone to put me on hold and then nobody came to take the order. I finally walked inside the place an order and there were eight people standing inside. There was no one around to take orders. This isnt the first time this has happened here.

Always easy in never long waits usually always a pump available not usually long waits in the store but most of the time they have plenty of help to keep the people moving in and out of the store which is makes it nice

Only food available is cold foods, Salads, cold cakes and stuff on the aisles. No pizza nor breakfast sandwiches put out and the reps are just in there having a good ole time... Ive given reviews on this store a few times and was told this continuing problem had been resolved and that food would be out by 4:00 am. I opted to give another attempt in order to give a better review but Im acknowledged in editing my review and lowering my previous rating.

What a great Flying J. The crew at this location is Top Shelf. Restrooms are Clean and the Coffee is always Fresh and Hot. Plenty of Food and it always looks Fresh. We are RVers and we love it. Easy in and Easy Out. Plenty of places to stop and get a break or an overnight.

I’ve been here for one day and have had five different people come up to me and ask me for money. Huge parking lot and tons of parking but you will get harassed.

Always clean and fast. Signed up for a flying J card at the counter employee was super friendly and fast getting my membership. Great place to stop.

This is a good truck stop, lots of parking space, easy parking overall, clean, and overall good place.But. The reason I gave 3 stars is because every single time I stop for a night here (and I come here 2 times per week), some one always knocking on my door, asking for money, or help, or if I would like some companie. 2-5 time a night.

This Gas Station has been my favorite for a very long time and will be for a long time ahead! Never failed to disappoint me, I actually prefer this place than Pilot. Great food and service.

One of the biggest Flying J parking lot in US, well-maintained, cleaned, and a cleaned store, dont hesitate to come here in the middle of the night, turn around youll get a spot for sure, love it out there.

Probably one of the top 10 Truck stops on my list to stop at.A big lot thats clean for the most part, the showers are quick to get hot and have great pressure. The food was fresh as well and the employees were friendly.

Update 07/09 we stopped here for gas this time. It was easy to get in and out of the truck gas area. There was also a very large parking area where it seemed it would be easy for big rigs to be able to stop for a bit to test.Original We went here to use the Flying Js RV dump station. Based on previous experience, we called ahead and asked for detailed instructions on how to find the dump station and if we could maneuver our 43 RV motorhome with a Jeep in tow to it. We were given great instructions and looked ahead at the satellite photo to plan our strategy. Once there we found that everything was as expected except it was very tight with our large RV. Why did they put a dump station where one has to drive between the store and car fuel station and then drive between very tight fuel station poles at an angle is beyond me! We truly were very close to damaging our RV and/or Jeep. We went inside to pay to use the dump station and then after paying was told that we should use the exposed pipe because someone before us had broken the mechanism to expose the sewer hole. Whew! We used the dump station without any issues but I suggest anyone planning to use this dump station be very careful when driving into it.

I spent some time thinking about my previous review with only 2 stars. I should have thought more about what I posted and I wasnt fair. I posted the place has run down hill but however good shopping here. Truth is I feel like over the years past 35 years to be exact I have always stopped here so I asked myself why. This place has a lot to offer in the way of shopping, but I almost forgot how good the service had always been. I have encountered many a smiling face here with very helpful people. Once the owner contacted me about my previous review I knew I needed to rethink my post. The owner was very nice unlike most of the follow ups I have received. So once again good business practice from a favorite place of mine. So yes I will continue to make this my stop when traveling thru the area. Just the customer satisfaction alone makes it worth my time and effort.

Nice hot shower, however ineffective shower curtain...water still all over..neither washer works ideally...one barely adds any water and clothes dont get cleaned and the other sounds like it is going to explode during the spin cycle ..walked our laundry across the street to pilot.

My shower was very clean , much better than the flying j I used the past two days !However, the floors in the front , near the entrance and food area , ain’t been swept and mopped all night long . This was not good for the store. But the parking lot is clean, unlike lots of pilots and flying js, so thanks for that .And can you ask the older short lady to say excuse me and be polite to all guest ? ThanksWe’re All in this together , no ?

Ive been going to this place since it was built . My mother used to own a gift shop in there . She went on to work there for them .I went in in this night and the place was just nasty . We walked back to the restaurant and the wait staff just stood towards the back and looked at us and continued telling stories . Never smiled and said anything to us. We asked at the front desk and the clerk said thats how they are . Nothing he could do about it . There is a newer place across the street and they act like they want your business . Id just avoid this place until they get better management.

One of the cleanest Flying Js Ive been too. Showers were clean and not broken. Bathrooms were clean and they had more food prepared than any other Flyin j I have been to. Staff were friendly. Nothing bad to report.

Over the passed 16 years since moving to Charlotte Ive always stopped at the flying j at Haw River. Great place to get gas, restrooms are clean and soap is never empty. You can grab snacks and a drink or even a slushie. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Awesome gas prices!!

Very clean store with clean bathrooms. Well lit parking for truckers or cars. Very good food at the counter as well. Great selection of snacks and drinks. The managers here are very nice and they work very hard to get you checked out as quickly as possible. The Dennys diner in here is very good as well. I definitely recommend this truck stop to anybody for a place to grab some snacks, get some gas, to rest a bit or to use the bathrooms.

Good place to take a break when your on the road. Coffee is hot and the toilets are occasionally clean. There is a good selection of snacks and coffee. Im not a trucker but they have a healthy selection of things truckers may need while on the road. Its worth the stop if your a wary traveler.

I am not a fan of this location, the men who work at this location need to be watched, I was almost overcharged by 60$ on my debit card for a 6$ transaction. (The women seem to know this, and try to overcompensate for the lack of Intelligence, their male coworkers have) Ive had problems with their debit cash machines, and their prices are high anyways. (As they are in most flying J locations). Their chicken wings are absolutely the best anywhere, bar none- but their pizza tastes sorta like raw dough,depending on who is cooking. (Or maybe thats how its supposed to taste, my bad!) Anyways, The Dennys, shared by Flying J has some of the best food Ive had anywhere. Their famous grand slam burger is dynamite! (Order over hard on the egg if you want less messy) and always tip for great service, they are worth it! 😊 Everyone at the Dennys location is dedicated to providing a great experience for their customers, but because they do get busy at certain hours, Id recommend calling in your order for the best service, its worth it. Dennys also is supposed to have some sort of discount club, ask your waitress or sign up online.

Reserved a shower on the app. Been waiting 1 1/2 hours. Still no showers available. Will not ever come back here. Ill do my fueling at LOVES.....

This location is a look time to stop off the interstate but if you miss the quick turn entrance it will take a minutes to get back. The truck parking is locked in and the hotel next door doesnt bother to connect parking lots either. Unfortunately,. Upon getting in there 1 cashier knew everything to do and the other didnt know some important things. They seemed to discuss, almost argue in front of customers and the whole thing had so many people waiting that at least 2 of us walked out (with nothing and both of us mentioned to each other we were probably gonna be late for work and for nothing.... I was still hungry and needing gas!!! I have had great experiences at others like off 95 by kings dominion but this was VERY disappointing.

They have just about anything you want. The food is great as well. The pizza is fantastic and served hot.

The cashier was friendly. And they had a great deal on some beef jerky and beef sticks that were like 50% off. Only issue tonight was one of the stalls in the mens room was nasty. Not the stores fault by any means, not normal mess. But a customers fault. I work at a grocery store so I empathize, customer service. I have never understood why some people feel like they can go into a public restroom and make a mess and walk out and act like I dont care its their job to clean up or let them figure it out that I made a mess. Basically some one threw up and got it all over the floor in one of the stalls. And its like come on man up and take ownership and at least admit to some one who works there, like Hey I got sick or to drunk or whatever the case and I accidentally threw up all over the floor. And apologize for your mess up. Come on, Really!? Really!?. But other than that I always enjoy the great selection and awesomeness of a Flying J.

LOVE this travel center, the staff is friendly and their truck care guy is awesome. He is the only one tire guy I ever see he is always there. Never heard dustin, I think that’s his name, ever turn down ANY customer and he always looks so happy to be there. I asked him to check my tires and he said he would meet me at the vehicle and was already there and working by the time I got there!

Always clean. Employees are very friendly. They even know their stock. I did not need to dig on the beef jerky isle in hopes of finding my Korean BBQ Pork jerky because an employee knew they did not carry it! But I was not expecting to find it. I did get a few things I have not seen anywhere else. Cant tell you what they are because they are gifts!

For some reason, this Flying J, their card reader wont accept my pre-paid credit card without a pin....odd all other truck stops do.Guess I wont be using Flying j or Pilots anymore.

Stopped here for gas as all of the pumps across the street were out of service.Only to find half of these pumps were also missing some options, only the red unleaded 87 option was available, all others said do not use.

I accidentally left my house keys by the front register. The clerk saved my keys, and I was able to drive back later that day to retrieve them without incident. The store is very clean, items are average priced, and the manager/clerks are very nice.

When we travel we always stop at pilots and flying Js truckstopsGreat food friendly people staff is amazing. The great items there as well there is something for everyone there from food clothes toys stuff for truck drivers. You should try an stop there when you see them always have great prices on gas.

Great place to stop and get gas. Get a bite to eat. The restrooms were clean. This is a stop we always make sure at exit 150 to plan when we are going to the outer Banks. From Western north Carolina it is a great stop halfway in between the beach.

Fast, courteous service from folks who seemed to enjoy their J O B. I made four stops at same location to weigh trucks on same day. Each time same results. Great people.

The Flying J is a good truck stop they have everything and big restrooms too. But the Dennys inside there doesnt have good customer service and they are slow it takes to long to get your food when its not busy. The African American waitress has a nasty attitude not nice at all.

One of the most consistently clean and well-kept ones around. Gasoline prices are good at this one, too.

My preferred chain of Travel Center. The number of Diesel fueling lanes, clean showers, and food selection and chain restaurants attached. Definitely everything in one location.

They dont want anyone else to come on their property to fix trucks but they arent able to do it them selves. Makes no sense to me but will say no Loves or TA can come on the property because they are competition. Just said!

Jason runs a top notch Flying J. The customer service is A plus, its clean. Stocked and showers are always ready. This is our home base and we frequent this truck stop daily as a family. Cant say enough good things.

The one line open was 16 people long before the manager Jason opened another register and was very rude. I m a black woman and had gotten in his line of one other person and was pretty much pushed back to allow two Hispanic males to move ahead of me, only they refused because I was there first. I usually dont leave reviews but this is like the third incident involving this manager.

Clean inside. Also, so much truck parking! This is a first for me sitting in a parking lot at almost 10PM and there are still a ton of open spaces. I will definitely mark this as a place to come back to while Im out on the road. Its so hard to find open truck parking at this time of the night without having to pay a small fortune for it.

Talked to the manager Jason and 5 stars all around...same with the cashier doug...great guys!!! Polite n quick to the point...no one will seem to press the issue on this fly in j on the meat loaf and the half chickens...so I spouse I will...this place is clean n polite this is why I stop...if I want food I go next door to pilot since they cant commander it here...

Ive visited this reststop for several years. Its always clean, the gas prices are very competitive, and they have a great selection of coffee, snacks, and hot food items. Even the music that plays over the speaker system is great!

Alot of truck parking and friendly people but the showers needed updating and could have been cleaned better. There was hair and 2 or 3 bugs in the corner behind the door and urine drops on the rim with the toilet seat up when we went in. We didnt complain but things could have been cleaner and more up to date

The C store manager is great. I do a lot of business here because its closer to my home. Sometimes there is a Wait. But most of the time they are quick to get additional help at the fuel desk. All the employees here are very friendly

If I could give a zero star rating, I would! I have never been treated so rudely before and will never come back to this place again. Horrible and the hostess on 12/1 at 2:00 today should be fired for treating customers the way she did!

Rest rooms clean and store was reasonably stocked. But the table service at the Dennys was exceptionally slow. Nearly 40 minutes to get 2 adult meals and one kids meal.

Well lit. Clean facilities with the exception of the adjacent dennys. Friendly staff. The food prices were unreasonably high for the quality (that term being used very loosely). Adult beverage selection was limited. Arcade was entertaining. This flying J has some cool souvenier+/clothing items worth checking out. This establishment is a stones throw from a hotel making it a convenient place to resupply for the guests.

Been awhile, but enjoyed. Great help W/GPS & which is best for our needs. Dennys there was great food/prices.

Small space for truck parking. The Dairy Queen was not serving many items for lunch and the Wendys there had long line and one person at cash register. Also Pilot bathrooms were not very clean. And not window cleaner sponges for our semi windows. Had to go find one. All in all not so good. More and more finding Pilots rather dirty.
