Not too impressed was shopping for shingles for house and they only show you a few samples I like to see the packages Im going to buy and their no cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes so I wasnt too impressed and probably will not be going back.

Really great and fast unloading.

Easy and quick to get in, shop, and get out. Mostly decent products with good prices. Beware that their treated lumber is not suitable for ground contact. They unfortunately receive a failing grade for their lack of COVID-19 safety precautions.

Bought a 16×20 deck package and had it delivered. Then when the builders I hired start building it in day 1 noticed 4 joists are missing! So I call, provide my invoice and order number and Tim claims that the gate man counts everything and that because it has been more than 2 days sorry cant help. So I either am a liar or someone stole 4 joists from the tied giant bundle of wood and put everything back perfect. Oh and several of the pieces of wood were either warped or rotting. Stay away! Never again.

They have employees that help you load the wood. Very helpful. Very nice. Good products for a good price.

Wide range of items at fair price. Normally have most wood sizes.

Where to start...1. Their lumber is not worth the discounted price. Spend the extra money. I spent more time and effort trying to make the warped and bent lumber work, not counting what I had to spend to replace some of the lumber because it was so bad.2. Their employees help me load about $2,000 worth of lumber and counted it multiple time to ensure the counts were correct. We spent several hours doing this. I pay for my purchase and Im informed they need to count it before I leave. We have loaded all the lumber on a 18 foot flat-bed trailer and we have it packed, filling all possible spaces to get everything in one load. They start counting and say we will have to unload some of the lumber so they can see the 2x4s, to get a better count. They think I have to many. Me and their employee that helped to load it tells them, the count is correct, we counted everything multiple times. That did no good, we had to unload part of the stack and they still said I had 5 to many 2x4s. We told them again, the counts were correct, even their own employee. They took 5 2x4s. I ask them who was going to pay for my fuel to drive 3 to 4 hour round trip to get the 5 I would be short when unloading? They said this was to protect me...right. They are so worried about getting cheated that they cheat the customer and do not really care.3. While all of this is going on and Im distracted arguing about the lumber count, another person is instructing the employee to remove shingles from my truck, because I have to many of those....Long story short, I did have travel 3 1/2 hours to get the missing 2x4s and did not get a Im sorry or nothing. This was a kit for a 16 x 20 storage building and I was building it myself, so it took me a while to get it done. When I finally reached the roofing stage I ran out of shingle and had several people helping me. I was paying a couple of them. I did not have time to drive 3 1/2 hours to get the missing shingle and they would have been closed by the time I got there. I wound up having to go to Lowes and spend $100.00 to get the stolen/missing shingle. It would have cost me more than $100.00 to deal with Builders Discount Center any further.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE. They may treat the small customer OK, but a big purchase customer like myself was treated like a common criminal.

All depends on what youre looking for. Most likely prices are cheaper than what you pay at a big improvement center, sometimes you have to dig though to find good pieces. I usually look for call here first when proving materials for a project. Ive gotten metal siding here, plywood, OSB, insulation, screws/nails, etc here over the years. Most of it all went into rebuilding my shop building, and it all served me well and worked great.

Great customer service

Bought a building package here. The people working there are very helpful, friendly, and efficient which is why they get 2 stars and not one from me. They tout top quality lumber in their advertising but that is FAR from the case. All Grade 3 stamped but barely, in my opinion more like reject wood. My large project had NO straight boards and none that had more than 50% square edges. The blueprints they provide are a joke so plan on making your own plans or having tons of experience. You would be better off getting a list of supplies from them for what you want to build and going to buy your own lumber by the piece elsewhere.Bottom line: savings not worth the hassle.

People were very informative with all my building needs especially one guy In particular, David Ward, he was fast, courteous, and skilful. My local Builders Discount In Burlington,NC:1) Better prices than Lowes or Home Depot2) They load my trailer all by themselves, although I did have a visit one time where there was only one employee available and he told me the other guy helping him went home sick.I helped the guy load my trailer, not too big of a problem, I work for a living anyways.3) Every time I went the employees knew which boards were bad as they were picking them up, they looked very good and out of several trips there for $600 and up purchases I have gotten maybe 5 or 6 boards that were starting to bow.4) There wood is usually pretty wet which can be a good thing, you need to start building when you get it to the jobsite and not let it sit out in the sun to prevent it from warping.5) for me it is a closer drive than the 2 Lowes or Home depot in the county.6) And yes they do check your purchase at the exit gate, Thats why it is important to make sure the wood is stacked on one end at least flush so it is easier to see, make sure the employees put like boards with like boards. And you should be checking off your own list and counting as they are loading to avoid any discrepancies.7) If you are missing, or have extra items when leaving then it is no ones fault but your own, take a little extra time and make sure you got what you came for before strapping down your load.
