Today I took my grandson Omar into the Warhammer in Goodyear. I had no idea what this whole “thing” was about but let me tell you because of John being so kind and taking the time to explaine in detail everything and then invited us back same day to literally teach Omar the safety of the tools, how to build the game pieces, then explained we could come back and he could take a free session to learn how to paint the pieces and learn to play the game. I do need to add that there was a customer there as well his name is Claude I believe.. he also offered tips to Omar and even lent one of his tools to Omar. Omar expressed to me on our ride home that he loved his experience, said John and Claude were so nice and he can not wait to go back. I could go on and on.. he is extremely excited and I thank you both so much!!!! We will be back😊Angela and Omar

Great atmosphere. John has a great energy with knowing the games and what he is selling. He’s very knowledgeable in every aspect of what he does and has been very helpful. To me but also other customers that I see I’m coming. Very respectful and great attitude towards the game. I strongly suggest anybody who’s interested in the sport to come to the shop highly recommend it. Keep doing what you’re doing John.

My wife and I stopped by yesterday on a whim and ended up talking to John for 2 hrs, seeing his passion and excitement for new people to be getting involved really made us want to learn this awesome hobby. Was reintroduced to the hobby after a very long time being out of it, and both the staff and the other customers have made it an incredible time. Jon offers free classes on learning pretty much every aspect if the game from very beginner friendly run downs on rules to more in depth breakdowns of more complicated aspects. And everyone Ive met in store has been wonderfully friendly and helpful, offering insights and advice on anything you may have questions about. Wouldnt dream of going anywhere else.

The person who runs this shop is very personable and knowledgeable. Always willing to help new people and show them the basics no matter how long it takes. He also has a very great system to ensure that there is no covid exposure and keeps a keen eye on individuals who dont follow shop rules. Love this store and keep coming back just to see him, oh and the miniatures are cool too. Wide selection if Warhammer and citadel products.

Jon is awesome. This shop is clean, organized, and Jon is incredibly helpful. If you’re looking to get into the hobby, I highly suggest stopping by.

I would highly recommend avoiding this store for Warhammer products. This store has an INSANE Covid policy that is over the top. We drove an hour to see the store and spent 7 minutes in the store due to the manager/employee constantly nagging us “I don’t mean to rush you or anything but I have 7 other people waiting to be in. Store policy is 5 people at a time.” “If you touch anything put it on the table in the back so I can clean it.” We got about a 2 minute gap before being pushed out of the store for a group of three that waited outside for a couple minutes. But we “weren’t being rushed.” If you want a Games Workshop Warhammer store go to the one in Scottsdale or the one in Chandler.

The store manager is always very helpful, and offers plenty of advice to all. Be it your new to the hobby or a seasoned player.

My brother had a horrible experience with the sale clerk today. He had a return to make and had the product in his hand. As he was walking in to the store he was yelled at to stop and then asked what he had in his hand. The clerk was rude and abrupt. He then would not let him explain that he had a return he just barked at him that he had to sanitize his hands. My brother was wearing a mask and would have gladly used hand sanitizer to shop at the store but he had not even enter the store fully and he had already been yelled at and questioned. My brother decided that the 30 minute drive he made to shop there was not worth having to deal with someone that has no customer service skills.

When you’re new to a hobby, sometimes you feel intimidated walking into these stores, unsure of what everything is. That’s definitely not an issue here!Jonathan greeted me within seconds and struck up a conversation about what I was looking for. I was embarrassed to tell him that I’m not interested in Warhammer- I play D&D and have just started painting minis. He couldn’t have been any nicer! He told me about the free classes he offers, teaching beginners about the basics, all the way up to fancy techniques to make your minis look more professional. He helped me pick out the perfect paints for my current project.I was very impressed, and can’t wait to come back to level up my painting skills! So happy to have this store so close to home!

Went and was introduced into a hobby of a lifetime. Jonathan was an excellent game master and showed me the ropes on warhammer. Started my ork army just after the second visit. The enviroment is extremely friendly and helpful to beginners like myself. WAAAAGH!

If you are walking into a Warhammer store, you already know what you are in for. This store is completely dedicated to Game Workshops Warhammer universe and the games and miniatures that comprise it. 5 stars, not because its any more special than any other warhammer store, but because of the amazing staff. We were greeted warmly the moment we walked in and the store staff made sure we were taken care of. Having never played warhammer games, I had a lot of questions. The store was closing but the store manager insisted that wr not feel rushed and were given plenty of time to browse and explore. We will deff lately be back.

I came in here for the first time and the shop was incredibly well put together and nice. I was immediately greeted and put through a fantastic first time experience - teaching me how to construct and paint a figure, then taught to play for the first time. Getting into a game like Warhammer tabletop can be very intimidating, but having a friendly, helpful guide and community to welcome you in makes it worth it. If youve always been interested in Warhammer tabletop, come here. If youre already a player, I was told they have a great community of players and I trust they do

This place is more than just a game store. Its more, even than just a place to go and play a quick GW game of your choice. The best way I can describe it is like a game store that tried to emulate the Cheers sitcom vibe. There are often several people occupying hobby tables (Yes they have several tables to hobby!). Most are just talking about their days or helping others with painting, building, playing, etc. Registers Chinese in and or throughout the day. John, the manager knows just about everyone and wants to help everyone regardless of their spending capabilities. In addition, several people in the store will often greet regulars as they come in.Dont know how to build, paint or play. Neither did I. The manager does classes and there are also several regulars often willing to help if you ask.There are of course events almost always going on. The store always rotates between the core 40k and sigmar games, but there are also other events like necromunda, warcry, aelf on the shelf, paint of the month, and so much more.So if you want to go where everyone knows your name, and theyre always glad you came, head on down to the warhammer store in Goodyear and ask John for a rundown of the game and a complimentary paintclass.
