This company has been great to deal with! We bought a Aluma trailer a few months ago to haul a 2015 Gem Car that we own. Then we decided to purchase a new 2021 Gem Car E4. Cant say enough good things about Joey. He helped us decide on the options for the new Gem Car and gave us great suggestions that made for a very good purchase! He also helped us in adding a tailgate to the trailer that we now haul our new Gem Car with. Joey and Stewart answered many questions (on several phone calls) we had before purchasing and also kept us up-to-date on the progress of our order.

I recently picked up a boat from Joey at Performance East. Super smooth experience, very communicative and attentive to my questions. This was my first boat purchase and he made it easy and answered even my dumb questions. Had the boat in for repair for over a year. Have very litrle faith in their service department and they NEVER call you to let you know how the repair is going. They forgot to lake test the boat when they were done

I contacted Performance East on 3/2/2021 and planned on giving them my business since I have purchased here in 2018. I made it incredibly easy for them. I told them what I wanted, and also gave them a list of parts to add on to it as well. My only request was tell me when this particular unit will be arriving (so I can put a deposit) and give me the total cost labor included. Essentially tossing $35k at them. Today is 3/23/21 and still nothing back which is disappointing to say the least. Gone are the days when you had to make a sale apparently. I would find it hard to believe the owner would be fine with $35k going somewhere else.

Purchased a pro XP in October from performance east. The sale went smooth and I do have a positive opinion of all the salesman. There was a lot of small things on the pro that weren’t installed properly, the clutch wasn’t shimmed properly and I ended up having to work on a brand new machine, not a huge deal it’s to be expected with Polaris I guess. January rolled around and I decided I no longer wanted the pro so I brought it to PE on consignment. 3 months later I go to pick it up to sell myself and the clutch recall still isn’t done, they don’t answer the phone, they don’t return calls.If you want to purchase a machine go for it, just don’t expect any service after the sale.

However, Taylor W. was a great salesman and walked us through as we patiently waited for our boat. We picked up our Excel Bay Pro 203 last week. Bought my can am xmr today and after spending $10k all lug nuts were loose (finger tight), seat wasnt latched then almost flew off going down the road and didnt put any gas in it. Very happy with the machine just think it shouldve been looked over.

I took my boat in today for some warranty work. Unfortunately a couple items on the boat were missed before leaving the factory. The problem was I did not buy the boat from Performance East. The dealer I did purchase from made only a feeble unsuccessful attempt at repairing the boat. After voicing my dissatisfaction with the manufacturer, they set me up with an appointment at Performance East. I was a little uncomfortable knowing I had not purchased from them (they did not have availability of this particular boat at the time I was wanting to purchase). I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was being treated no different than any other customer and Peformance East made a thorough and conscientious effort to identify and correct all of the problems. Everyone there was sincerely interested in getting me straightened out and solving my problem once and for all. I am very thankful for that and have peace of mind knowing they are going to go the extra mile to see that I am happy with their work regardless of where I purchased. You can bet, the next boat I buy will be purchased from Performance East.

Im giving 3 stars because MOST of the time you guys have stuff in stock and nice people. Today however is not a good day. Been trying to reach sales and finance for for the past hour..... No answer at all ! If you arent going to follow up when people run their credit then you should say so. We have plenty of other options to use other businesses. We chose you for a reason. If you cant answer the phone after 2 oclock then you need more help. I have purchased machines from PE , Team Powersports , Sport Cycles , Great West outdoors , S&S and numerous others. I build machines for for events, like mud mash and Fast Trax mega truck events. Ive sold machines to people all over the country. Ive built Sand buggies for people in Arizona and New Mexico. I dont display my business to dealers for multiple reasons but I MYSELF handle any warranty issues or problems with machines I sell so I do NOT use dealer service centers.... For numerous reasons...... I buy machines on credit and build them at my shop. By the time the first payment is due I have the machine built and sold with the loan paid in full. This isnt my first rodeo Austin. Im sorry you couldnt do your part in making my deal happen. But my business cant slow down just because PE cant keep up. I will use you in the future but unfortunately you will not be #1 to be called like normal. Just look back at your sales reports and it will be easy to find out who I am. This build requires a unit NOW ! Not Tuesday or Wednesday when you have Time from customers coming in. I do appreciate your response and I respect that you owned the issue. But saying that you dont have my name in for a credit app is not very professional. Especially with people trying to steal identities. ( Another reason for a different name here )... So please dont take offense that i had a bad review of your businesses ability to work a deal I a timely manner.... I simply pointed out an issue that could use some work. Purchased a 2018 Polaris 570 SP today and this place is like being around your own family its great to deal with these people, very sociable and they care about their customers and they dont charge all that garbage dealer doc fees and other assembly fees set up etc... Edit: I was contacted by them about my review. After disclosing everything that happened I received no response for a week now. I shouldn’t be shocked by the empty promise of making it right. I will be taking my business elsewhere and telling all of my friends. I already know of 2 sales they have lost due to this.Just know that before posting this review all attempts were made to contact owner/general manager. Every time I called I got the runaround and kept getting put through to the same service manager that I had all the problems with.The buying process was the only thing that was good about this place. The service on my boat has been absolutely horrendous. Every time I’ve been there they have either stained the boat or not done something they said they would. Now that they are opening a place right by my house I plan to drive further to get all of my maintenance done.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a service department. 10/10 would not recommend.

Horrible customer service. Starting working a deal on a Saturday to buy a boat. Told me they’d get back to me Tuesday. Get a deal, trying to work details. Then they tell me they have already sold the boat. They didn’t even feel obligated to make it right. They ran my credit three times for nothing! Call and ask for a manger and he wouldn’t even answer.

Went in for a boat customer service was excellent. However, was told we would have an answer the next day, and excuses came flying we are busy someone is looking at it and so on. We waited patiently for 4 days. We ended up looking elsewhere to get the deal done and we did within 20 minutes. I put a 100$ refundable deposit down. As soon as I told them We found another boat the refused to give me the 100$ back. They stated that one of our socials was incorrect and couldnt run it. However both of our credit reports reflected the hard inquiry. I am not a dumb person I just expect some integrity. Yea its only 100$, but their practices are awful. I can understand losing the money if they were upfront and honest to begin with.....

After two less than stellar experiences with boat dealers in eastern North Carolina over the last two months, I am happy to say my experience with Performance East was exceptional. Justin made my buying process seamless and was there for any issues or questions I had. They have made me a customer for life.

Where do i start.....purchased a 22ft blue wave from them. Told them we wanted it went to the bank took out money for down payment got back to the dealership waited and waited just to find out our folder got mixed up with someone elses and by the time it got straightened out it was close of business friday evening and couldnt close the deal. Had to wait 3 more days just for them to say they have a problem they lost title to the trailer and couldnt close deal because of it. Finally got that straight an was told be there at 3pm on friday afternoon. I showed up at 3. Manager got stuck in traffic shows up at 4. Had to wait even longer because they didnt clean the boat up it had muddy foot prints all in it so once again had to wait and wait. Seal the deal take it home. Following weekend i finally get to go fishing in a rig i bought and was told was ready to fish... my first trip out got ruined because the trolling motor did not work at all and had to be towed in because of a malfunction. Contacted them and took the boat back for them to take care of. Over a week later i emailed tto find out the status just to be told they shut down due to covid outbreak at the dealership so now i dont know when ill get my boat back. Maybe they should have been wearing masks and taking precautions for this but of course no one in the store that we seen wore a mask. Our salesman matt was really nice but everything else Customer service wise sucked. The boat was obviously not ready to fish even though the boat was used 2016 model it should have been gone through and prepped for resale which obviously it was not. I understand a used boat will need a thing or 2 but not this much because this rig was definitely not ready to be re sold especially after it had been on the lot for months. After i get it back ill never deal with this place again.

Justin gave me a great deal on a Sea Doo spark Trixx! From the first phone call he gave me the absolute best price that he said he could offer. I shopped around all the dealers in the Raleigh area and nobody could come close to his price. They all told me I must be mistaken because he was selling it below cost. Very bad business going on at this place. We went in on Friday, found a boat we liked, something wrong with financing/credit. Couldn’t resolve, gave them $100 deposit to hold boat. Justin told us if it doesn’t work out, we would get it back. Didn’t hear from them all Saturday, my husband finally asked what was going on, they said they were working on it. Sunday and Monday they were closed. We found another boat in the meantime, called to let Justin know and to refund our money. He told us no. Said we messed up on our application and it was our fault. Couldn’t tell us that Saturday? That deposit should be refunded. We are middle class, hard working people...your company makes millions. Do the right thing.

Found out the bike I bought from them wasn’t serviced, after I was told it was. Tried contacting them twice, no care or response. Out of a 3 quart capacity it only had a quart of burnt, extremely old oil. I bought it across country, if I would have picked it up personally there is no way I would have bought it. EDIT - I cannot respond to the business’ response. My concerns were sent to Travis and I never heard from him.

Just picked up a Yamaha 212x from Joey. He was fantastic through the whole deal. Im quite a particular person, and a couple times wanted to back out as the sale of my boat was a pain. He kept reassuring me all was well on their end as we were up against the clock for some incentives expiring. Closed the deal the day after said incentives expired and appeared, at least via the system, the incentives were gone. Both Joey and Austin assured me Id get the deal I was promised. Walked out of there with everything as promised. Amazing experience, very fast, very friendly, and a stellar upgrade from my old 212x. I put out the feelers to all Yamaha dealers within a 200 mile radius and Joey called me within the hour of putting in an inquiry. When it comes time for a new boat, performance will be my first stop.

In 2018 I purchased a 2018 Can Am XMR 1000 from here. Loved the machine and service and decided to come back and buy a 2021 Can Am HD10. I had to special order this machine and waited around a month which is expected due to COVID. Everything went great with sales and service until my machine drive shaft broke on the third ride, (I only owned it for 11 days at this point). Called the dealer and said they could get it in so we made over a 3 hour drive round trip to drop the machine off to get it fixed. I was not happy that my machine had already broken but I understand things can happen. Our machine sat at PE for 3 weeks with little to no communication and it still had not even been looked at to see what all needed to be repaired. At this point im very dissatisfied, so I ask to speak to someone in charge and that basically got me nowhere. Just kept getting the runaround. Even left a message for the GM and he never returned my phone call either. Finally it got into the shop to be repaired and they got some things fixed. The salesman agreed to a first free service and the service manager was giving us a hard time about that. At this point I was just ready to have my machine back. There is absolutely NO communication in this place and you are and will NOT be treated as a valued customer. They even wrote a note on my repair order invoice that said just because we bought a new machine it basically does not have any effect on anything or getting it fixed. This is just ridiculous! If we wouldve known this we wouldve never went back to buy a new machine from them in the first place. Its pretty bad when you have to make a payment on something that has sat at the dealership longer than it has been at your own home. They are absolutely only focused on making sales and not keeping the customer happy after they make the sale. I will be taking my future businesselsewhere. Thanks for nothing PE!Update:Thank you for the response and repair order provided. The review above was based on my experience with your dealership. The driving force behind my frustration was the lack of communication on your end (Which you did not acknowledge in your response). If delays were to be expected, they should have been conveyed upfront. I understood from your team that the machine was to be repaired ASAP and was never told otherwise. Despite problems with the machine and a list of items that needed to be repaired, someone could have called me to let me know what was going on… Whether I liked it or not! You mentioned the tire size in the repair order below and illuded to it being the cause for issues. If this was the case, why would your team sell a machine with improperly sized equipment, known to cause problems? I was very through the build process and this was never mentioned by your team. That said- I appreciate all efforts made concerning warranty repair and work performed on machine. At the end of the day, I just wanted the machine back and in full working order. I will conclude by saying that your ending statement says a lot about how you do business and how you treat the customers in which your dealership depends on to thrive. I had a great buying experience with Anthony Pittman. I was surprised when I arrived to pick up my boat for the discussed price... there were extras added to the boat that I was not charged extra for.

Worst customer service ever will never go here again an will be taking my money elsewhere.... purchased a brand new 2020 can am 450 an within a week had to replace a part because someone decided it would be smart to zip tie a broken shift bracket on the 4x4... not only that but when I called to complain an told them about the issue they told me it was user error. So I guess can am is now manufacturing there bikes with zip ties huh.... sure dont think so try again PE!!!

Justin Smith and the guys at performance east did a phenomenal job on the purchase of my boat. I was deployed while I was boat shopping and ran across the last model in NC that I wanted. They pulled my credit and without hesitation agreed to hold on to it until my return (roughly three weeks). They did this even though others were potentially interested in buying the boat. When I got there to the dealership (the day after I got home) they had the boat cleaned up, put together, ready to hit the water and all paperwork pre-staged and ready for my signature. They did a thorough demonstration, and within 45 minutes from flash to bang I was leaving the dealership with my boat. Amazing crew of guys that are very user friendly and understand the needs and wants of the buyer. Definitely recommend them if you are in the market for a boat, ATV, side by side, or whatever your outdoor power sports needs are!!
