Since my competitive playing days are over I rarely have to hit up a hockey store unless I need a stick for coaching etc.The location is convenient for me not to far from our house and right off Willow Rd. The young man that helped me was nice and seems like they do have a pretty solid staff. The store is loaded with all hockey related stuff so no wonder they were decently busy. My main gripe and not just this location is the pricing for all hockey related gear has gotten out of hand. It costs a small fortune to play hockey and every time you need a piece of gear hits you right in the wallet. I will be back though dont have much of a choice.

Strolled in looking for goalie pads to replace ones as old as most of the people working in the store. All the staff there were very attentive and the customer service was excellent. Special shout out to Mike who helped me, listened to my needs, and was very patient with me. As someone who only fills in once and a while in net, he helped me pick out exactly what I needed.

The salesman was very helpful in helping me to find exactly what I needed. He said not to get custom skates if I dont have to, its not worth the $$

Every time Ive been in here, Ive had great customer service. A young lady named Tina was particularly helpful and knowledgeable about selecting a stick for my son. On another occasion, a different young lady didnt have an answer regarding skates, but quickly sourced a knowledgeable colleague who helped me try on 6-8 different pairs of skates until I found the pair I liked best.Good customer service.

Good selection. Service is extremely inconsistent. Some days the salesperson is great and knowledgable, other times pretty awful. Last week a great experience with help fitting equipment well. This week... ordered new skates to the store, they never called when the skates arrived, so was in a hurry as I had to pick up at lunch. The guy seemed annoyed and was generally unhelpful and had a bad attitude. This can all be fixed.

Pure Hockey has excellent customer service. They go above and beyond in most cases. I have had only good experiences here. Huge selection, blows the competition away.

This place is great. Best selection in the north shore. They are very Bauer heavy

The staff here are amazing!! They are very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I can always count on going in to this store and being met with happy faces that are happy to help me. They understand how difficult finding the right equipment can be and they are so knowledgeable about the products I always feel confident in my purchases. I’ve been to other Pure hockey locations and the staff is far worse so we highly appreciate the great staff here!

This place is all around better than the Gunzos in Morton Grove. Better selection of sticks, more staff, and more options on apparel. I will only go here now. Staff was very helpful in getting me custom insoles for my skates.

This store is poorly run. The hockey bags are on a top shelf - out of reach for anyone not over 6 tall. And no prices marked, so you have to get a store clerk to do price checks on each and every one.They have last years skates on sale, but theyre not marked as such (Originally $x, now $y; 30% off). Not good merchandising.And I just tried calling the store - 11am on a weekday, supposed to have been open for an hour. No answer, goes to voice mail... but the box is full. Come on people, get your act together!

Great selection of equipment and apparel. Ive been in this store multiple times and have had the 2 dealings with Ryan, stay away from him. His knowledge and willing to help in non-existent. I was looking to purchase a $200 helmet and the only one left in my size was one with a cage, which I dont need. I asked if they could take it off and he said that this would screw up their inventory. I know other retailers do this so Im not sure how it will screw up the inventory.

I get my skates sharpened here. They do a good job. I also picked up some elbow pads here. They were as cheap as Amazon, which was really a pleasant surprise.

Knowledgeable and friendly employees help when you want it and leave you to browse when you dont. Amazing selection, good prices.

Bought skates for my daughter and the girl working here fitted her wrong, and the skates had a malfunction.

Giving my 5 stars to the Goalie girl from Madison who was fantastic helping us out whilst upgrading out goalie equipment for our son. She was kind, patient and most of all super knowledgeable. She gave us different options but told us her favorite items and added reasons with pros and cons. We spend probalby 2 hrs in there and she never once showed any sign of wanting to do somethign else or gettign tired of our questions.Shes a keeper and id highly recomend any goalie payer to get their gear with these guys.T

Can be a little tough getting help but overall a nice store

Stopped to get my skates sharpened before practice. At the skate sharpening island in the middle of the store was one teenage boy sharpening a pair of skates and seemingly just talking to two other teens that appeared to be his friends. When I asked him to sharpen my skates he said it would be at least two hours because of a backlog of skates that need sharpening. Heres the thing, the other skates were left to be sharpened and I was there and waiting so instead of sharpening my skates and allowing me to browse the store and buy something else he essentially sent me away. Not great for business but what does a teen care? I stopped at the counter on my way out and asked where their puck bags were, they had no idea and informed me that they didnt think they sold them. Im sticking with Jerrys and Gunzos from now on.

Impossible to get any help. I think they’ve got three guys working there, and that includes the guy sharpening the skates.
