I have been coming here off and on for 15 years but it has never been in the shape it is in now Id rather play in a parking lot or a park. This golf course you could not even get a tee into the ground on the Tee-Box that was heavily overgrown in mostly sand I quit after 6 holes because it was just a waste of time. I paid the same price for GCU one day prior eith amazing conditions for summer.

First and second holes are horrible due to range balls laying everywhere. Make sure you have a ball any other color than white or yellow if you want to find it in this mess. However, for the price you pay and the short game skills you need to build on, this is a good place to go.

I grew up playing at bell air golf course with my father when I was young. Its been a fun little inexpensive golf course to play.Unfortunately they have let it go to basically a goat pasture. It pains me to leave a bad review because of my history with this course , but man was it horrible today! I have never seen it in worse condition. Hope fully they can turn it around? Best of luck to the owners!😔

Weve played Bellair for years, but Ive never seen the course in as bad condition as it was on Fathers Day. The bunkers were rock hard and full of weeds and grass. Some greens had large dirt patches with no grass, while other greens had longer grass that significantly slowed putts. Some of the tee boxes were so hard that it was almost impossible to push a tee into the ground. Even just barely off the fairway, we often ran into large areas of dirt that used to be grassy.

5 stars for the awesome new “post apocalyptic” theme. Trying out the new weed trap bunkers because the usual hazards weren’t fitting to the theme. However, 1 star for everything else. They must have had their mowers repossessed or possibly they are out of gas? Either way the fairways haven’t seen maintenance since the start of the year. $30 for overgrown everything and no food or beverage service whatsoever is rough if you ask me. It’s sad to watch this landmark golf course go down the drain.

Im sure the neighbors are glad we left (hey Louis, hope you miss us as much as we miss you! Hah 🤣). Just was in Glendale the other day and drove by...kinda sad to see all the dead grass and litter all over. Looks like theyve just let the place go.

Unfortunately I can’t provide my comments unless I rate this course at least a 1 star. This is definitely a 0 star course . This has to be one of the worst golf courses I have played on. We our ladies group played Friday March 6th and We would never go back. The grounds have not been taken care of for quite some time. The fairways have so much clover and long grass that it caused our teams To lose several golf balls during our 18 holes on the fairways. The greens are so bumpy that it caused our balls to go everywhere. We had planned on having lunch at the clubhouse but when we got there we found out the restaurant is closed. Nowhere on their website did it indicate they were closed.Don’t waste your money. Go someplace else

We had a very nice day golfing here. The was a discrepancy with the price for $18 from golfnow but the manager made things right with us. My only issue was that a few parties of very slow older folks were golfing ahead of us and basically we ended up in a line of waiting carts. I think someone from the course should probably manage that sort of situation, like encourage them to let folks play through, maybe offer them a free drink voucher or something so theyre not offended, I dont know just an idea. All things considered though, a good experience.

Always a fun time at Bellair. Can get a little crowded on the weekends. But, tell me a course that doesnt get crowded. This is a good course to work on your irons. A lot of the greens are well protected by sand traps. The cart path could use a makeover. A minor inconvenience for a very reasonably priced round of golf with cart.

4/20/20 Edit (1 star)This course has really taken a turn for the worse. Greens are patchy and extremely hard. Tee boxes are mostly hard dirt and hard to even get a tee into the ground. Fairways are mostly dead grass. Will not play here again till improvements are made.April 2019 (4 stars)Very well kept course with challenging hazard placement. Perfect for practicing your irons and course management since it is primarily short par 3 with a few par 4s. Good bang for your buck, definitely recommend walking it this time of year.

The course is not usually too bad, though the staff is almost always a problem. Two stars is being generous. Its as if every time I go there the employees feel that they are more important than the customer. My uncle and myself have had to argue with staff on several occasions. Its disappointing that a course that is so near me, is one that I have to avoid so often. Luckily there are so many other options, with nice staff, and better courses. Though it may cost a bit more, its worth it to not have to start out frustrated with something other than my poor play.A note to the staff: Without customers, you are without a job. Even a slightly better attitude can go a long way in creating return business, and job security in the future.

Between the relaxed attitude of the folks on and around the course along with the comparatively cheaper rates, this has become a favorite for me and my filthy carnie friends.Theres a small shop/front office for golfing swag and equipment, as well as a restaurant/bar thing on site. The shop is a little overpriced, but helpful when you forget things like... Clubs... And end up needing a rental set or more tees. Or balls. Or hats.Theres a playground too? For the golfing parent in the go, I suppose? Additionally theres a driving range and a practice green.Iron Works, the bar/restaurant, is a standard low-tier greasy spoon. Thats not to say its BAD, but it definitely isnt GOOD. They serve food and booze, and none of it is distinctive or memorable. You can watch sportsball on its televisions and you will NEED it to distract you from the slow service. Not unfriendly service, just slow to serve and an eternity to get payment squared away in anything that isnt cash.If you hit the course the par is pretty gentle, usually 3-4 per hole and to lubricate your swing a beer cart is regularly on patrol. Though bear in mind the beer cart operates on the restaurants payment system, so plan on cash or keep a tab open to make the wait worth it.This place is great for a relaxed game between friends and a superb place for beginners to sharpen their game. It aint fancy, but its my favorite place to golf.

My first time there was a good experience. I am new to golf and decided to tag along with my buddies. I shot a 92 which was told is pretty decent for a newbie! I agree with others about the sand traps, they seem like the dirt you would find along the baselines of a baseball field, not a sandy beach haha. The course rate was good and cart girl making her rounds was real friendly. All in all, I had a good time and will be back.

Executive course that is open to all players. The course is tougher than it looks. I am adding to this post And changing my rating to one star. This course used to be enjoyable and in decent shape. New owners have let it go. I laugh at the thought of being closed for overseeding. How about cutting the greens, and cutting the grass/weeds you have around the course were you do have grass/weeds. I used to be a regular there for 20 years. I played today and I was embarrassed for my guests. They are closed for 3 days a week for supposed course maintenance. I would figure you would cut the grass for your busier times on the weekend. The staff in the pro shop can only apologize. I feel bad for them. All I can say is buyer beware.

ry
Review №76

The course is nice, although could use some maintenance. Just like many other public courses the tee boxes are chewed up, and many spots around the greens are worn down. The driving range is small, with worn out mats. The plastic ball trays and bag holders are sun rotten and warped. There are no tees in the mats for driving, I assume because the driving range distance is maybe 250yds at best. People have resorted to using their own tees in front of the mat for driving, so there are hundreds of divots, and broken tees laying about. You really cant drive because there is no level ground. There are markers at 100, 150, 175, and 200yds, other than that theres nothing to aim at.

We even told the guy at the desk we had 7 and would not hold up. they guy said to split up or he would give us our money back. did not make any sense as if we did split it would hold the people behind up even more. so we played one more hole and Barney 5 came up and kicked us off and would not give money back!!!!
