The worst dealership Ive ever gone to. Bought a Nissan altima from amato, transmission blew within a few months. The forever warranty covered that, but when I got the car back the shifter was broken. They wouldnt fix it. Recently took the car in for maintenance on the door master switch, paid around $1000. Wasnt working properly within a month so I took it back and because they were no longer nissan they refused to fix the botched job I already paid them for. Also they reopened the door to see if the mistake was on theyre end, and in the process broke the handle. When I asked about them fixing that they said they were booked out over a week on maintenance and Id have to rent a car while they work on it.Dont waste your time with these clowns. Shop somewhere else so you dont have to go through the same trouble I went through.

The Service Center charges you for services you don’t need and they don’t perform. I had appt to replace drivers side headlight bulb - signed estimate for 80. Guy walks back 5 min later and tells some big story about how the drivers side bulb is a more difficult process, my bumper will need to be removed and a more skilled mechanic will have to perform - making the labor alone 120. The whole process took 20 min - which didn’t match the β€˜difficult’ process I was advised it entailed. Also every video/article I viewed online for a 2011 Elantra replaced the bulb w no removal of the bumper. Only went here bc my normal Hyundai location was booked a month out. Will never return. And per other reviews, this is a known practice at this location

Shopping for a new car was not all that easy during the Summer of 2021 because of the shortage of chips for the new cars. Lots of dealers were adding Dealer surcharges on top of the sticker price. One dealer added on almost $5000 over sticker. Amato sold me my 2022 Palisade at sticker and just a little extra charge for something other than License plate fees. It is not like it was in the old days when you could get a dealer to come down from sticker price but Amoto was reasonable. I recommend them highly.

He couldnt tell me about their Inventory, not did he ask probing questions. Second car he could not locate the keys. He then had an attitude because I said I was just leaving. Basically you need to just have mechanic friends to help you out beforehand. I brought my car in because the windshield wiper fluid wasn’t being dispensed. Was told it was $150 just for a diagnostic test. Anyway after the test was run, I was told that I needed a new washer fluid pump which would be an additional $200 to fix. Something told me not to move forward. My friends boyfriend took a look and turns out the fluid pump just simply wasn’t plugged in correctly and was working just fine. So I basically spent $150 for nothing!

Today, I had a scheduled appointment for an oil change and the recommended 30,000.00 mile check up, for my 2015 Nissan Sentra. There was a discrepancy regarding the number of complimentary oil changes that had been issued, redeemed and currently available. I was given the worst customer care, by Service Consultant, Chris. I experienced his demeanor and attitude, as rude, dismissive, argumentative, disrespectful, unprofessional, passive aggressive and lacking the ability to effectively problem solve. Fortunately, the Service Manager, Jim, reviewed and resolved the problem, to my satisfaction. After Jims decision was made (and he was no longer in Chris presence), Chris, attempted to deter me from receiving my scheduled services. He stated that if you are not happy or satisfied, you dont have to have your services performed here. Due to Chris advise, I reconsidered my service order, and only had the oil changed and cancelled the 30,000 mile check up. At this point, due to the interactions with Chris, my confidence in the integrity, of the service department is very low.

My mother Purchased a used vehicle here. Recently one set of her keys were stolen so i called to schedule to have the set replaced and the remaining set reprogrammed. When she purchased the vehicle she also purchased a remote start which was provided by the dealership. Whether it was actually installed by the dealership or not is besides the point , we purchased it from John Amato. When i called today to get information about the remote Fob replacement I was met with attitude and no empathy for our situation. I was told i needed to look up the manufacturer of the Fob and figure out how to get it replaced myself. Less than 2 years ago when one of the Fobs stopped working the dealership was very helpful in getting it replaced and reprogrammed at a reasonable cost. Now its a different story. When i initially called service I spoke to Jim, as soon as i asked about the Fob he blind transferred me to the parts department without letting me know. I work in customer service and this is as bad as it gets. Its hard to believe he is the service manager. I will be cancelling my appointment for tomorrow and going elsewhere. I will no longer recommend John Amato, apparently when your vehicle is 8 years old as Jim put it, they are no longer willing to help you.

I was unimpressed. Entered my information into the web based appointment center. The service agent had no idea about the reason for my appointment or even what car I was bringing in. Then I had to enter all of my information again. She seemed to not care about my business. I heard nothing in the morning about when my car would be done and, when I called for an update on when my car would be ready, (had been told by noon the following day at the latest) it clearly wasn’t going to be ready by 12. When I asked about the charges (I felt like the price was higher than quoted) she made me feel like I was a child when I asked her to explain them to me. Overall wasn’t my best service experience and I probably won’t chose this place again.

I have leased 3 cars and bought one used car from here. First two leases were okay now on my 3rd and with the purchased used vehicle it’s always something. Make appointments for service and still am waiting hours for a simple oil change. Today i was told there would be a loaner for me since it’s my second time coming for the same issue but when I arrived I was told they won’t do it. So now I’m over 3 hours late for work with my kid here. I suggest recording any phone call you make with these guys because it’s always a different story when you get here.

Having said that, the price for a simple car battery was outrageous (at least $30 more than the most expensive battery I could find), and the repeated attempts to up-sale me services I deemed unnecessary were annoying. I cant help but wonder if they would have tried the same thing if I werent a woman. The only reason I use the dealership is because your standard mechanic does not have the training to work on electric cars, and if there had been a higher than regular mechanics fee, it would have been one thing; assuming that money actually went to the mechanic with special training.

We were 1st time purchasers at John Amato Glendale. We were greeted very nicely. We knew exactly what we were looking for. I would defiantly purchase from here again. I will state though that the cleanliness was not so well. The showroom floor cars were dusty, had cobwebs in wheel wells, the garbage cans by the salesmans desk not just mine but all that were on the floor were full of garbage. The store really needs to be cleaned up. I think that some people look at what they see on 1st image of a business would not like it so well. Please take my advice Amato if you read this review clean it up a bit and make it more presentable.

I will NEVER again buy a car from ANY Amato dealership especially this one. I got completely screwed on price and my car has had one issue after another. Not to mention that any service I’ve had done hasn’t been done correctly and there’s been another issue that comes up after I’ve gotten my vehicle back. They have never offered to fix the problems that have came up after I’ve gotten my vehicle back, such as the warning light that was on but wasn’t there when I dropped it off. They told me it would be $500 just to have them look at it. The worst part is that I can’t even trade it in for something else because they charged me so much that I won’t get nearly what I owe on it.

Marlon was able to meet my needs in a very kind and attentive manner and the woman in the Finance Department was very clear and kind (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, but I found her to be very personable as well). Firstly, this is the first less than 4 star review I have done. We specifically purchased from Amato for the warranty/price/etc. We didnt haggle on the price and purchased extended warranty and service contracts. We made an appointment over a week ago to get routine maintenance/oil change. We live/work 45 minutes away from this dealership and two hours from the Amato we purchased our vehicle. When my wife arrives, she is told they dont have the filter for her vehicle and cant do the work. I understand mishaps/miscommunication happens. The issue is how the problem resolution was completed. My wife was told to go to the Chrysler/Dodge store and they would handle it. When she arrived at that store they told her they couldnt complete the work due to their schedule. So Nissan failed to order the parts. Was unwilling to get the parts after they messed up. Pawned the problem off on another dealership/co-workers. Failed to contact the people they were sending my wife to and let them know or ask to resolve the problem. Fortunately, Matt Dorn??? at the Dodge store is properly trained and showed a sense of urgency and caring and located an employee that was willing to stay late and correct mistakes made by other people. This shop is certainly improperly or inadequately trained. It is also clearly mismanaged as the automated system clearly schedules the daily work load and the parts werent on hand. Even if the parts issue were a single occurrence the facility was not properly staffed to resolve in house any issue. Poorly executed. Poor service. It wasnt the mistakes that caused this bad review. It was the way the mistakes were handled, addressed.

Managers don’t take responsibility for mistakes that happen at dealership. The 3 times I’ve come, something has always gone wrong and has costed me a lot of time, money, and headaches. Parts department employees are the only ones haven’t messed up, theyre fine. Don’t even bother taking your car to get serviced here. He was so sweet, he brought them each popcorn and some cookies and played with them while I was in the finance office. I don’t know who had a better experience at the dealership, me or my kids.

If I could give Nissan a 0 I would. Never ever buy a Nissan, they have transmission issues and they refuse to fix them. Please save your time and wallet, don’t buy these hunks of junk. Terrible car brand, Im surprised they’re still in business.
