It was packed because it was too week before school started and everybody was very understanding I trust everybodys questions comments concerns They took care of them with all the multitasking that they were doing throughout the entire day even until the moment. All around awesome associates very customer service oriented very pleasant under strenuous times but yeah also very understanding to at the same point.

I wish it was more clearly marked for online purchases. Stood in the regular line for over 20 minutes to be told to goto another line. When I have picked up an online purchase at main line before. I was on a break form work.

Several semesters I did business with this bookstore. Until I figured out that you pay a lot less ordering the books online. I have saved up to 60% buying my books that way. Even Barnes and Noble is cheaper. The biggest problem isnt the prices though. I have ordered books months before classes started and have still had to drop the classes because I still didnt have my books. If you want to pay extra and start out behind in your classes, this is the way to go. Otherwise save money and avoid stress. Use Amazon.

They carry a lot of stuff from school supplies to general convenience store items. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

By far the worst experience of COD... I always have some type of issue. Next term I am going to try not to use this place. Unable to cancel orders in progress online. I always feel like I am being swindled by some Pawn Broker or something. Not an ethical place in my opinion if you really break it down. However, I dont get paid for analysis - so Ill leave it at that.

The bookstore has POOR service! especially now with all online and needing “access codes”, digital copies of books, etc... This semester I have had the same problem twice and they took almost 2 WEEKS to fix the problem.. When I had signed up for a psychology class they directed me to purchase this one book that is needed for the class... later on, i was told before to purchase the wrong book and then go through purchasing the right one and returning the wrong... This other class, I am in need of an access code for my homework assignments and book... they gave me a code for my chemistry labs! I searched to see what the code is supposed to look like and it’s supposed to be LETTERS and I got numbers.... There needs to be a change!!! It is awful!! Worst College experience ever!!

I attend school at COD. Recently had to make a return due to a bookstore error with our class. Had absolutely no problem doing an exchange. Keep up the good customer service. Thank you for all you do!

I ordered a laptop through the school . Placed the order on 8/10/20 . I had not gotten any updates on the laptop whatsoever, so I finally reached out to the bookstore about two weeks later the bookstore then tells me contact financial aid it’s on their end I contact financial aid they say this is incorrect . So I reach out the the bookstore manager again . I get no response. So I call the bookstore on several occasions get different responses . So luckily this lovely lady from financial aid contacted me and cc’d the bookstore manager in the email to make sure that the bookstore would take care of this issue . Of course they said whatever they thought the financial aid lady would want to hear . A week go by still no update on what’s going on with the laptop . Finally reach out again here we are a month and A week into me ordering this and the bookstore manager pretty much says it’s nothing he could do and the inventory of what’s in stock is online . Clearly it’s not online if I ordered my laptop a month ago and have yet to receive it . They’re so unprofessional and honestly don’t see how they stay open . I try to be understanding because of course everyone is trying to adjust to this new “normal “ we are all facing but at some point you need to do your job . If the laptop is back ordered or anything is wrong with the transaction advocate that to your customers . I didn’t have to beg you to take money from me so I shouldn’t have to beg to get the items I purchased .

Nothing but a painful and horrible experience with this place. I ordered an item on their website in June. Waited nearly a month, never heard anything, called them and they were clueless. I had to ask who their 3rd party handler was since this was an item they didnt have in stock. I then called THAT company who said they can see the order but have not received the funds from the bookstore. Call the bookstore again - no help, and they are again completely clueless. I call Folletts corporate office to inquire - nice lady there seems to want to help but ultimately this goes nowhere. Ive spent countless hours trying to figure this out to no avail. Its now October and I finally received a refund for them item I ordered 4 months ago that never arrived. To somehow make matters worse, when I go online to order another item the transaction appears to go through but then I get an email notifying me it was cancelled the following day. Why advertise products on your website that are not available?? And whats with everything being insanely overpriced?

Worst service ever!!!! They dont return calls. Even the answering machine basically tells you if you have already called dont call again. Then when you complain they try to cover there poor service with nothing but denials and excuses. If you can find your books somewhere else do it. They need to clean house and bring in a whole new staff or just close the place! Dont shop here all you get is frustration!! You have been warned!

I’ve been trying to pick up a free lab kit for my biology class since the semester started. Because of working and taking classes I have very little time to actually make it to the bookstore to get in line to wait. So far I’ve waited a total of 5 hours and still no kit. I’ve tried contacting the bookstore begging them to just send it to me, no reply and no return emails. They changed their policy where you can now schedule a pickup at check out but since I’m picking up something for FREE that option is not available. (Also they said they were going to send me the lab kit but then they never did or followed up on it) I’ve also been cut out of line multiply times. I just trying to pick up something that they would have just given to me anyway.

Called to cancel order, confirmed email that they will cancel and they still shipped the item. Payed 20$ for fast shipping and took decades for it to arrive and now Im going to have to pay to ship it back because they said they would cancel but didnt. Never experienced worse service

I usually have an extremely pleasant experience getting my books. The contactless pickup process is absolutely horrid. Waited over an hour for the appointment and spoke to every employee in attempt to get my entire order. It also split picking up my order into two separate pickup appointments with no option for one consolidated appointment. It’s also scheduled the second pickup without confirming I would be available. Super disorganized and no consideration for students time or convenience.

Orders take an incredibly long time (this is during Covid pandemic ) my order was wrong even though it took two weeks I’m still missing books. Buy your books online you’ll save money and the anxiety.

Ordered a laptop for online classes and paid 20 bucks for fastest shipping. 4 days later they email me saying my order is canceled because theyre out of stock. Problem is they never refunded me the money they already took for this laptop ill never recieve. They wont return my calls either. Avoid purchasing from here, theyll scam you out of 600 dollars.Update: Recieved a refund but took over a week after the original purchase. Took my emailing the director of the bookstore a dozen times while just recieving generic contact the bookstore by phone they can help you (who wouldnt even return my calls), as well as basically being called a liar because its just not possible for these things to happen, since we dont charge your account until the order is fulfilled (except they did and I proved that with a few quick screen shots).On a non laptop related note, I gave them another shot and ordered a online only two rod organizer from here for $160 dollars yesterday. Saw the exact same one on Targets website and a few other stores websites for $80 to $90 max. Thought about contacting them to get them to cancel the order for the product but after last time I just dont have the mental energy or the time to go through that ridiculously drawn out and complicated process.Its really not that hard people! It blows my mind how you managed to completely take the convenience out of online shopping, whos whole selling point is that its convenient!In conclusion just dont buy anything from here. Prices are exorbitant, customer service is nonexistent, and just an overall bad experience. 0/10.

This place is terrible. Please buy your books anywhere else. I purchased items online for store pickup and nowhere amongst the checkout did it inform me they have 0 of the 5 books I ordered. Thus, after taking my money informed me they would all be shipping here. Not at amazon speed mind you, but USPS speed. To add insult to injury the tracking number they send me in an email came up as invalid. Thanks College of Dreams maybe I can dream to do my homework someday if I ever get those books.

While Ive heard much worse about other college bookstores that blatantly scam people, this one still has very high prices compared to ones you can find online. Just rent from Amazon, its dirt cheap compared to the bookstores prices. The staff is helpful but I cant help but feel like nobody likes to work here. It comes out in their attitude. I doesnt affect me negatively in my buying experience but it sucks to notice how miserable they seem working here.

Absurdly overpriced books, they are marked up because its on campus and they know people will pay. Over 100 to RENT some books. No returns after only a week of class, so if you end up having to drop, then deal with eating the hundreds of dollars.Go on Amazon and rent from there. Cheap, easy and reasonable return times.

Ill give it two stars because this place is outrageously overpriced. They even buy back books at a much lower price than other places that are nearby. The only reason why they might need this place is because COD has their own books they bind up so they are custom designed and you cant find those type of materials online. They recently had a survey of keeping the contract of the bookstore and I hope they get rid of it except for the online portion. They can use this space for a real commons area because most new people see this building as the center of campus and when you walk in, you are greeted by an overpriced bookstore...

The lines can get dreadful at the start of the year so make sure you come early. They have snacks, over the counter medication, books, spirit wear, and other pieces of minor equipment you may need in your courses. Its a good place, except a bit short staffed at times. Overall good bookstore though

My experience at the bookstore is the majority of the people are extremely nice and very helpful. Im taken back by the bad reviews, as customer service is top notch. They do an excellent job capturing all the little items students may need in a pinch. Thanks to COD book store!

Its a college bookstore people! Of course it is going to be expensive! The employees are really friendly and help you with any questions or help you find books. You can definitely find most of the books cheaper or for rent on amazon. It does suck that they dont offer renting as an option all that much. Usually your only option is to buy it new. So that sucks, but it is a college bookstore, they will always be the expensive option.

Place is organized by what you need. Books are a little expensive when you can find some of them online. Most everything, minus text books can be bought cheaper elsewhere. The prices are high since its a convenience factor being at the college. Lines are typically long and take forever

Bought a book that I didnt turn out to need because they never ask you to open it. Might be a point if I were taking to whole series of classes but there is no reason to even have the one class in my major. (instructors are forced to recommend books purchased at the store, and their contract says they cant recommend they go elsewhere for better pricing and policies) bought a book for 250 they offered to buy it back unused for $36. You are criminals, there is no other way of putting it. Stop stealing from students to keep a dying business model afloat!

As a student, it is very confienent. Staff is always willing and ready to help you. If there allis no one islbln the aisles, just go to the front where you check out and they will gladly help you. Most of the time they are fellow students helping you so they know the importance of what you need. College wear is a little pricey but what do you expect for sports wear?

I have been waiting to receive the email for me to pick up my books when the semester started 4 WEEKS ago. When I email them or try to leave a voicemail they DO NOT RESPOND all they do is send a generic email back. Horrible service.

I paid $150 for a book, bought it last minute. Went to return it 10 days later and it was past the due date? Bs. I dont have money to be spending willy nilly when I have bills to pay. Now I have a book that Im not going to be using because of some bs policy.

Dont give them a dime for a book its overpriced and a scam, I was charged $90 to rent a book and then $180 to buy it when it was late. Also the workers will tell you your book is damaged when you return it and try to make you pay for it anyway. Better off renting from Amazon.

The bookstore is always well organized and clean. The prices are a bit high. During peak hours the line to check out can be very long and checking out is slow.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I just called to attempt to find out if they have the books I need for two classes, I was going to stop by after work. I spoke to a very rude boy named Chris, who says hes just customer service and going to transfer me to someone on the floor. Then he got back on the phone and told me that everyone on the floor was busy and told me to to call back in 20 minutes. I was trying to explain to him that I cant just call back in 20 minutes, I couldnt get a word in edgewise and he started yelling at me that I had to call back in 20 minutes! I told him that they will now never have my business and he laughed at me! This was today, August 18th, 2017 at 13:30.

I dont understand the comments about the horrible staff. I just went in today to get my books and some apparel and everyone was just lovely. One of the floor employees went and picked up all of my books while I followed behind. All of my questions were answered with genuine smiles. Everyone at COD is lovely though. Thank you!

MY DAUGHTER LOVING SCHOOL SHE WANT GO HERE....

I am in the cosmetology program at COD. I went to go get my kit and they had ran out of them but they said they would have the the following week but they did not. Finally after two weeks of waiting I called to see if it was ready, I gave them my name and information for the kit, and they said it was ready. I go over there and they said it wasn’t ready and that I need to wait for a call to say it was ready. They they made me waste my time and gas to go over there. I’m paying 11,000$ for this program do they really think I have the money to be wasting gas to go over to the main campus building.

I placed an online order, during the curbside pickup I was told only 1 book is ready and the other isnt available. And I was given a receipt showing only one book is charged. The next day Im checking my card statement I see that the other book charge was run separately! So Im charged for 2 books but given only one.

Its a good store for your textbooks. Just make sure not to open anything that is sealed with tape unless youre sure you need it.

I have not had a single good experience with the COD book store. The first time I went there to get books for my general education classes they couldn’t pull up my voucher. I went to the book store 3 more times each time the same. They say the same things each time and nobody cares enough to actually help. I’m also a part of the cosmetology program. They ran out of freshman right handed kits the first week, and then took two more weeks to get more kits. Just today they called to inform me that they had more kits. When I got to the store they did not have any. They “sold out immediately”. I know for a fact the educators in the cosmetology program informed the book store that a specific amount of students needed kits. They did not order the amount of kits that the cosmetology educators had requested. This is just terrible management. I would not recommend getting anything from the COD book store. It has caused me extreme anxiety. And if I could afford another school I would be attending there.

A very nice environment, much more than just books sold. Electronics, snacks, school supplies, etc. However, all these items are overpriced, and lines are extremely long (as expected) at the start/ends of terms.

This store talks highly of its customer service, but they have some of the most rude and lazy employees. I went in to the store to look for a book, which I needed for my daughter. It was my first time there. I went to the register area to ask for help. I was rudely dismissed and told to look for an employee on the floor. I got flustered and preceded to the floor, there I found an employee and was told again rudely to look for someone of the floor. I walked all the way back and finally found someone. He looked annoyed and made me feel unwelcome. I asked him about the book and he said that the store was out. When I asked if he could look in the back, he replied with a no and that he was sure the store was out.I am never utilizing this bookstore. I am appalled by the rude staff.

The Folletts College of DuPage Bookstore, College of DuPage, 425 22nd St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 has what you need when you need it and the staff are very helpful in finding what you need if help is required.

It was awful. The book i paid 200$ for 3 months ago, which is the new course book for the foreseeable future, they offered me 45$ for.They sell the same used book in the same condition for 150$. Talk about a racket.

It was hard to get to. The main entrance was blocked off for construction. There wasnt an easy way in. For those of you who may have a disability or handicap you will have to walk a bit from any parking area to get there.
