As expected for a Nob Hill, clean and very organized. This particular Nob Hill is nice because theres not many other shoppers at times. Makes for a delightful and quiet shopping experience. My style! We used self checkout but an employee wished us a good night as we left which is always a plus and appreciated. I came on August 31st around 7 pm, if I remember correctly.

Is best fruits and vegetables ever! Some of the other stores you might as well just throw them away. Very fresh! Love the courtesy!

Super good sandwiches. Dee in the deli has a great personality! She always has a smile on her face and is SUPER friendly. When I go she always remembers what I want on my sandwich. If you go here for a sandwich ask for Dee! Hopefully shes there she does an awesome job!!!! Thanks Dee.

Store is always clean and orderly. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Their produce is a little limited but, so fresh and such good quality. I do appreciate the offerings of fresh herbs and spices they carry in the produce section. They also have a great selection of vegetarian items in the reach in case at the end of the produce section. I appreciate that the aisles are well spaced. You can easily get by other shoppers. Meat and seafood selection is great too. Seems smaller than the other store in town but, quality seems better, in my opinion. I find i go to Nob Hill more than any other grocer in town.

Disappointed to see the Deli department has gotten rid of the better quality meats and cheeses. Seems like everything is going down hill. Dont think the store is as clean as it used to be. Some baggers are mouthy and unhelpful. There are some creepy employees who leer at women. I miss the friendly employees who always said hello and asked how youre doing. I dont want to go to Safeway but Im thinking more and more about changing my shopping habits.

Wait staff was fast and attentive, food was delicious and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was very nice and clean..Ate inside

Nob Hill is the hands down go to place for all of your Grocery needs, this Store is by far and away the best when it comes to Customer Service !! Nob Hill consistently satisfies and exceeds in all that pertains to the Grocery Industry! I highly recommend that if youre not already shopping here then you need to start because if you dont youre selling yourself short! If there ever is a problem with your shopping experience at Nob Hill the Management is well suited to remedying the issue so all parties involved are happy! I had an issue arise at Nob Hill Gilroy Store # 2 and Erica and Josie were super super apologetic and worked effortlessly and efficiently to quickly remedy the situation to My satisfaction! I wouldnt think of ever switching from Nob Hill to any other Grocery Store.👍Nob Hill 4EVER!

Always love shopping here, great selection of items, lots of which you cant find at the cheaper grocery stores. Although my sisters favorite item was some tongue tattoos (temporary of course!) And she wishes they would bring them back!

This store has a clean, open feel to it. The wines are more expensive than, say, Safeway or TJs which is a bummer (but good if youre looking to cut back on your consumption ).

Ive been shopping there for 40 years. I do wish the old management was still there. I had trouble on the self check out the lady at the front desk was talking to another worker and ignored me. I asked for help they looked st me instructed I take out and put my card back in. Didnt work! I left the self checkout and waited in line to check out. Things like that has changed. Not what it use to be.

Bakery Cake was beautiful and delicious. The service was helpful but not very informed.

Nice clean store. Stopped there to buy Yamasa Teriyaki Sauce. They also stock Angelo Pietro Salad dressings. I use this product to sauté vegetables. Plenty of parking and easy to find.

Nob Hill has been the grocery store of choice due to excellent customer service, cashier stands actually have stands open, along with the great selection of products. Store seemed to have changed in energy when new management took over. Did not feel like you are at your neighborhood market where regulars were greeted. This was prior to any pandemic related situations. However, after the last few months its really gone down hill with oprations and management of store. I feel like Im walking into some form of outlet. Low stock, unclean refrigeration areas that look ransacked as well as items not feeling cold. This is not an isolated incident. This last time dried old meat juice/ blood were on the shelving. Sad because I really enjoyed shopping here and not having to contend with Safeways lack of customer service or one cashier stand open operation.Still grateful to the Nob Hill cashiers and baggers that continue to greet under their masks. 🙂

Nob Hill is always clean and has plenty of registers open. I love that they have the mail and ship place there too. They were holding people at the door today due to covid- but the wait wasnt long.

To expensive for my taste

We did not get her name, but in the bakery at ~730 Monday (8.31) night she was super awesome. Super friendly and patient with us, as we just werent sure what was going to satisfy our sweet tooths. Ran in back a couple times and shared all of the specials and sales.Also another associate was friendly with Us, as well as my service dog, Hank! Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Its definitely higher priced than Safeway, selection isnt as good & their supply chain or stocking of shelves needs some work.

Great amazing store, during the quarantine this was the best store to go to. The standards and precautions taken there were exceptional, the other grocery stores in the area we weren’t to impressed with during these hard times. The ladies that work there we’re great and extremely helpful and Josie was more then exceptional with helping us from a distance of course, we had extra points we wanted to use and needed help she went above and beyond to help! She was extremely helpful and we only go here now.

Nob Hill always clean, friendly, lively.Love the Wellsfargo located inside. Also, I utilize the Red Box and shipping services.Wine selection is fantastic - however Trader Joes and Safeway have better pricing.🍥 Sushi and Sashimi lunch is a fun goto.Love it.

Just did an online order for pick up today. I would rate 5 stars if it wasnt for the pick up area being difficult to locate. Pick up is located behind PIneapple Village Restaurant in the loading dock area of Nob Hill.

Less crowded than Safeway next door & staff are ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ in comparison. Always parking available even at the most busiest times. Queues generally short (apart from the Holidays). Bright & airy, has everything you need unless youre looking for a somewhat obscure exotic ingredient. Not come across anything past their BBF yet which seems a basic requirement but other store brands need to catch up there so...! My only negative at the moment is that their own brand Raleys product packaging is generally unrecyclable. Particularly their frozen fruit/veg type packaging. Which really bugs me in this day & age. Its really not difficult nor expensive to fix with biodegradables. Sort it out please.

Service has gone down hill. No one cares in that place , i use to love going there for random stuff but not really anymore. You always have that one guy that is always mean looking, others just chat while working. You would need a leader running that place to make it a better shopping experience overall.

Great grocery store friendly staff

This location advertises they have postal services at front desk, which they do not. For the past two months many times its not open, the hours are posted 9am-1pm the person is on lunch at 945am. They ask please come back. The staff doesnt know how to weigh a package, next time the machine was not pre-paid. Today there was a sick call. The lotto machine is unavailable. Why advertise you offer postal services if every other day theres an issue?The new manager isnt organized with a back up staff memeber, poor management. Few years back store manager Vito didnt run this store so unorganized.

I service gift cards here, & usually dont have any problems. I dont shop here because merchandise is too expensive for this min wage worker. I will say their meat & produce appears fresh & tasty.

I loved being able to get my banking done with a live person in the store (Wells Fargo) and completed my weekly grocery shopping! Very experienced check out clerk, friendly and wished me a nice day while looking at me eye to eye 😀Easy to park, and maneuver through the parking lot!!

Great selection of products and nice to shop there

I like coming here on Mondays for their $5 Monday specials. The produce is very fresh. It has a nice vibe in the store. They have lots of fancy things and you might not be able to find at other places. I also like their wine selection. I havent bought it yet but they do sell inexpensive one and the ones that have the higher rating like 94 rating. Its a mix of gourmet food and a Safeway or Von and a little bit of a Sprouts feel.

A good basic grocery. They have a great variety of merchandise. Now they always have .99 cent spring water. They are also the only store around here that has Morning Rounds, a must toasted in the morning, tofurky (buy the kind with sun dried tomatoes and cut them in three long ways before you fry them because they are very dense) and organic semolina pasta.

Before I start I have to say Gilroy Nob Hill employees are ‘world Class”. I’ve been a customer for 30 years, and I love the place.But, lately...Nob Hill locks the main entrance 3 hours before closing. One of the checkers ‘George’ was telling elderly that the door is closed, use the other door! 3 hours before closing!!!I asked him why, and he said, we get crazy people here! (Under new management. Customers are called ‘crazy people)The new management prefers elderly, kids, customers... walk 100’+ and carry their heavy bags, rather than keep the main entrance open!I go to Nob Hill 3-4 times a week, but lately I don’t know who the managers are. No pictures on the wall, and a lot of people sitting in the office!I’ve been a loyal customer for 30 years, this place is going backwards. No customer service, a lot of out of date products, unfriendly managers, old ‘packaged’ meat and vegetables, no fresh bread till after 11am ..... (you must ask for fresh bread), meat dept is under staffed and no training (I had wait 30 min for a cut because nobody knew how to cut a whole chicken), they put a sign “ out on lunch” at the service desk!!! This is during the busy hours!!!!What’s next????

Unsafe and falling down on the job. Placed an order online and customers no longer receive any confirmation or instructions by text. The instructions in the email were wrong—there is no number to send a text to when you pull up (the sign is gone). Had to call the main number and get transferred, yada yada. But the worst thing is, the store employee comes out without a mask. MASKS ARE STILL REQUIRED BY SANTA CLARA COUNTY AT BUSINESSES, BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. I have two risk factors for a possibly fatal experience with COVID-19—but hey, whatever, right?Guess I wont be shopping here anymore.

This used to be the only store I shopped at for groceries for many years. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit and Raleys hasnt figured out yet how to keep stock on the shelves. I hate to say it but Ive now resorted to shop at Safeway and they dont have a problem. I dont know if it is internal to this store since Vito was transfered or if its just Raleys corporate that has it all screwed up. Many of my neighbors have said they are no longer shopping at Nob Hill and have the same complaint. Very unfortunate for the town of Gilroy.

This store has a terrific deli and bakery. Workers in this area ver helpful, talented and friendly. The meat section is almost non existent, no grass fed organic selections. Meat guys dont pay attention to customers. The produce is full of brands never heard of is small. Large selection of dairy, juices etc.

The curbside pickup area, behind the store, is littered with trash and reeks of rotten garbage. Otherwise, this is an exceptionally nice grocery store.

I like this site never disappoints, often surprises. Got a few things there Id never thought of finding in good ole Gilroy. Good cakes, fresh produce, clean store, good service. There isnt much, if any to frown upon other than slightly, and I mean slightly higher prices. But if there what you get for what you pay was every on the spot, it will be here. Keep it up.

I love everything about Nobhill. Very organized and friendly cashiers and staff. Even the post office is great. I cant forget the deli and bakery. If you are craving fried chicken this is the place. You can also call ahead to get it fresh. Thats what I do. Im really bad with names. The friendly man that makes the chicken makes it perfect. It doesnt taste greasy at all.

Love this place. Such a wide selection of groceries to choose from, especially the tea aisle! Their tea selection could make a store all by itself! And each store is a little different, but always huge!

Really clean and full service. Prices are a little high compared to other grocery but you get it back in high quality goods and services, such as mail and bank, plus many types of peanut butter. Good place to shop.

Store is clean, and laid out well. The organics section in produce seems to be getting larger. Prices are about the same as Safeway, so no complaints there. They carried a type of flour I needed that I couldnt find elsewhere.

Ive been going to nob hill for almost a year now and Ive never had a bad experience with anyone here. The staff are really nice and have conversations with you, plus ask if you need help carrying the bags to the car. This is my number one favorite grocery store in hollister.

What can I say ... LOVE IT ! Special orders are handled efficiently. ANY difficulty is immediately address and resolved (only a few in almost 15 years). BEST place in Gilroy to get the best veggies and meats. Wonderful people, always a pleasure to shop there.

A clean and friendly store. Sells local produce and organic food too. Update is that there is new management and I have noticed that all the British candy has been taken out of the store. Thats why I came here in the first place! I dont feel the friendly, happy vibe here anymore. I miss that. I knew something had changed before I came back to read the reviews. I miss the old manager, he was good. I used to like shopping here a lot before, now I dont really care for it so much. Bring back the old manager please!!

Went in with my service animal and was harassed by an employee and kept telling me to take it out, I explained shes a service animal and then she paused after feeling dumb and told me people have their food in here! and to keep her away from the cart. Im super offended and am not sure if I can shop this location comfortably anymore. Whole foods has NEVER given me these kind of problems.
