Jena was fantastic! I walked in planning to just look. She immediately came over and asked what type of frame I liked. I showed her my previous pair and she immediately started handing me glasses I loved! One in particular I loved so much I decided to buy. She was so friendly and professional, I really enjoyed working with her. I cant wait to get them!!

I had the best experience here. From the ladies at the check in desk to the optometrist, to the girl that helped pick out frames and got me checked out, Justine. Give that girl a raise. Everybody was personable and friendly. I would definitely recommend.

Very very disappointed. The staff are awesome and super helpful when its time to buy but I went in and the warranty had expired, I spend a significant amount of money buying three pairs of glasses and they would not honor the scratch coat warranty because it had just expired. Customer service just isnt what it used to be. Ill be finding another eyeglass provider needless to say.

Chandler, at the Gilbert San Tan location, is outstanding! Very knowledgeable in both fit, and the technical aspects of getting glasses. These are my first (readers) and it was a great experience. I could have got what I needed at any grocery store, but Chandler made it worth it the purchase. Will be back!

We were fortunate enough to come when there were less crowds but even more fortunate to have a young lady named Jena to wait on us. My husband and I needed both glasses and sunglasses and Jena ran the numbers with and without our insurance to get us the best deal.They cleaned the glasses after every customer to ensure your safety. Jena made the experience fun by engaging in conversation and allowed two 70 year olds the opportunity to share some of our war stories.Looks like LensCrafters at the San tan mall will be our go to stop in the future for all our eyeglass needs.

I hadn’t gotten my eyes checked in roughly 3 years. I hate eye exams, and this was my first time going to Lenscrafters to get testing done. I’m not one to leave a negative review, or reviews in general but I almost walked out of this location. The doctor that did my exam was so rude. Before he even walked in the room he grabbed my chart from the door, walked in and didn’t even introduce himself. He just said “why has it been so long since you got your eyes checked”? I explained my eyes are sensitive and the bright lights make my eyes water excessively. He brushed that off and just started with the mirror test. He started doing the test where he shines the light in my eyes. I had a very hard time keeping my eyes open and they were watering to the point I had tears in my mask. I kept apologizing and he ignored it (no bedside manner) and finally said “I give up. Looks like you aren’t getting the rest of the exam. I’m just writing a prescription”. I again apologized and he responded “so are you planning on buying new glasses?” And walked me to the front. He didn’t even explain the change in prescription or even tell me I now have astigmatism or to have a nice day or anything. Whoever he handed my chart to at the front was busy so he told me to start browsing and walked away. That girl never told me anything more. Did I owe a copay? She didn’t hand my chart off to the sales staff so they didn’t even know I had an exam done or if I was a customer just browsing.Now, my experience with the sales staff at this location was amazing. Once she realized I had an exam done she promptly got my information. She explained the process of trying glasses on, where to put the ones I had tried on so they can sanitize them after and even offered me a tray to shop with. Once I had the 2 pairs picked out I told her I was ready. I wish I would have gotten her name (she was an absolute gem). She helped me take photos and pick the best frames for me and made the experience fun. We went through all of the options for the lenses and I ultimately picked more expensive ones because of her explanation and knowledge. She’s the one that also told me that I now have astigmatism since apparently the doctor couldn’t tell me.After my eye exam experience I legit almost walked out because I was thinking to myself “if that’s how the doctor treated me, do I really want to give more money to this business?” Glad I stuck it out and honestly if it wasn’t for the girl that helped me I 100% would have walked out. I get it, we all have bad days, but man, makes me honestly never want to get my eyes checked again.

This was my first time getting my eyes checked in awhile so I was a little anxious. The ladies at check in were really nice and helpful with paperwork. The eye exam was painless and fast. Dr. Patel was extremely nice and I can tell he enjoys what he does. The staff was very informative about which glasses would work the best for my prescription. The icing on the cake was it only took a week to get my glasses. I will definitely be back.

Buying glasses is ranked close to going to the dentist... But this LensCrafters location is different. They make you feel comfortable and actually a fun experience. The Manager Jerry is great and Chandler & Kyra are exceptional employees. They create a very happy environment with low pressure. They were patient in the selection of the perfect frames. Highly recommend this location if you need glasses.

Excellent customer service!! This was my first time using vision insurance and getting glasses. My insurance company made the experience dreadful but Chandler at Lens Crafters provided the best customer service that I have ever experienced. Chandler was immediately very friendly and knowledgeable. When it came down to ordering tye glasses, the trouble began. Based on my insurance, I would have to use out of network benefits at Lens Crafters and this shouldnt have been a problem. Too long to explain but my insurance company made it impossible. I made MULTIPLE calls to them without any success. Chandler even reached out to them multiple times to assist. In addition she went above and beyond trying different ways to resolve the problem. She tried over the span of a week and always followed up with me when she said she would. Chandler made a frustrating situation much easier to deal with. While they are out of network for me, I will continue to use Lens Crafters because of the amazing customer service that I received. Thank you Chandler...you rock!!!

Bonnie has worked with me for 15 years.I have difficulty getting fitted for glasses. Bonnie has gone Above and Beyond tofind glasses that fit me! She has even ordered frames when there were none in the store that fit me!! I buy glasses at LenseCrafters because of Bonnies excellent customer service!!!

Right when I walked in Chandler welcomed me and got me going in the right direction. She answered all my questions and gave me information that helped me make a decision without asking for it. This location is on the other side of town for me but Ill drive further for GREAT customer service! Went in yesterday and she did not disappoint! Dr. Labroff and his staff were extremely patient and kind to my 7 year-old daughter who had her first vision exam. I was a little uncertain whether theyd be able to help her since shes so young but the exam was quick and easy and they had a good selection of frames. My daughter had such a great experience she declared she wanted to be an eye doctor after the visit!Also, Dr. Labroff noticed I was having a problem with my eye and offered to take a look at it even though I didnt have an appointment. He gave me a prescription and some helpful suggestions to treat the problem which another optometrist had not suggested 4 weeks earlier. I was so grateful and appreciative and would highly recommend Dr. Labroff and Lenscrafters.

The one star is for their on site optometrist. That portion of my visit was a 5 star experience. He was kind and patient as I struggled through parts of the exam. He also sent me off with some of the results to show my doctor which was nice. I havent had any other optometrists do that. The price is also very reasonable.Lenscrafters is ridiculous. I had hoped to measure my PD, buy some cleaning supplies, anti fog spray, etc. The moment the manager realized I wasnt buying glasses today, he cut me off mid-sentence and told me they wouldnt be able to help me any further. Basically, shut up and get out. Which is fine. There are many other options and now I know I dont want to spend my money there.

I couldn’t have imagined a better experience shopping for glasses. Michelle at the SanTan Village location in Gilbert, AZ surprised me with such a good deal on my high prescription! Very friendly and knowledgeable! Satisfied customer here :)

I am disappointed with follow-up response for contact lenses. The contact lens sample was unavailable for the vision in one of my eyes. Therefore, my contact lens fitting was delayed until a future shipment of daily contact lenses were received . My eye exam and contact lens exam were completed on 6/30/2020. I followed-up on 7/16/2020 (in-person) about the status of the contact lenses. The contact lenses were not available. Recently, I followed-up on 8/22/2020 by phone. The contact lens samples were available. However, I had to schedule an appointment for a fitting (on 8/24/2020-today). It has now been 52-54 days from the original eye exam and contact lens exam to get an adequate response. This only occurred as a result of my persistence for answers. Unfortunately, when I reached out to my vision insurance provider today they informed me that billing was submitted for the eye exam only, and I can not submit billing for the contact lens exam because they were not submitted together. As a result, I would incur all the expenses and my vision benefits would not be available for use at Lens Crafters or SanTan Village Eye Care. I have a flexible spending account and the fees would have been paid either way. But, why pay for costs out-of-pocket or via FSA if it can be reimbursed under the vision plan? Why not consider using the flexible spending account on all other expenses not covered in the vision plan? In order to take advantage of my benefits for contact lenses, I will have to schedule a contact lens exam with another vision provider in network! I trusted SanTan Village Eye Care and they let me down due to their lack of responsiveness and extended delays on the status of the shipment of contacts lenses. I am disappointed that it has been more than 30-45 days to get answers (54 days exactly). This is unacceptable! I cancelled todays appointment.

Excellent service! After two visits to another optometrist’s office (and two incorrect prescriptions) I visited Lens Crafters at SanTan mall. April, the manager, helped discover the problem. One week later I got my eyes reexamined by Dr. Labroff who was extremely thorough, explained what had happened and corrected the issue. A huge “thank you” to the entire staff!

Looking for new glasses, stopped in with my Rx in hand. One associate working (?) with someone, but sounded more like a social visit. Two other associates remained seated the entire time I was there: no greeting from any of them, no offers of assistance. I walked from one end of the store to the other. Completely unacceptable, on to the next shop. Wont go back here.

Made an appointment online which took close to one month to get in. Saw Dr. who adjusted my prescription and stated he was lowering the magnification from my previous prescription because of how I tested. He did say if I found them to be too low of a magnification to bring them back and he would adjust them. Went through another hour of selecting frames and even though frames were $225 the glasses came to over $600 with blue cross blue shield VSP for these progressives. EXPENSIVE! Always thought LensCrafters was priced better. Picked up my glasses on 9/21 I told them they seemed to be blurry and needed to hold everything an arms length away. She said it’s afternoon I’d been wearing my old prescription to take them home and try for a few days. 9/26 had to go back because everything has to be read from so far away otherwise blurry. She seemed to be put off by my coming in and said she needed to talk to the doctor and to wait. Well I waited and waited and finally left. They didn’t seem like they wanted to assist me after I got the glasses. Before they were all over trying to help.

Great place to go. We go in whenever Cheyenne is working to have her help us. She’s knowledgeable and friendly and bubbly. Christian knows how to fix anything. Clean place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. It’s in a mall so parking is a bit challenging, but worth it.

The only reason they deserve a 2 star is because they were helpful when I got my glasses. Yesterday on Oct 15 2018 I was getting glasses for both my girls. Looking and trying on glasses for 45 min walking around the store. Not even a Hello or need any help from anyone. So we just left and now we are a Visionworks at Chandler Mall. This is a much better place friendly and helpful right when we walked in.

I previously used the LensCrafters in AZ Mills -- They were terrible!!! After picking up my two pairs of glasses in October -- it took well over a month to get them -- the lens in the clear glasses kept falling out. I walked into this LensCrafters in SanTan Village, and WOW! I was greeted immediately and the first Tech tried to adjust/tighten the frame, but couldnt. A second Tech, Christian, was called over and he immediately spotted the issue: the lens was improperly cut and would never fit into the frame. He re-ordered my entire pair of glasses and they were ready in just one week! When I picked them up, I asked them to also adjust my prescription shades, as well. This LensCrafters location, its Manager and all the staff were wonderful to me in every way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!Update 11/2020: Thank you, Cheri, and Gilbert staff for being so attentive and conscientious during these critical covid times. Thank you for your humor, patience, and grace. We love our new glasses!

All these bad reviews seem a bit fishy after coming in. I was a bit skeptical about coming into this place after reading the first few reviews before scheduling an appointment and coming in. About 4-5 days ago i came into my scheduled appointment, and was immediately taken care of. They were so nice and friendly, I got lost trying to find the place since Im new around this part and they helped me find it, I needed help filling out some paperwork because my eye sight is that bad and they helped me fill it out.The eye exam was fast and simple took no longer than like 15 min... Maybe even less to be honest, I actually had a good time choosing my frames and even had like 3 people helping me decide what looked best on me and didnt feel rushed at all and even helped me reduce the price of my glasses. Overall my experience was on point and the staff is super helpful.

Do not go here. They will convince you to purchase protection plan, tell you lost glasses will be covered. They are not. I would have not wasted money if weren’t but they will do and say whatever they need to get the sale. Then they won’t call you back because they know they lied. Seriously go somewhere else.

I went in just to have my frames adjusted that were purchased at LC before my deployment.i sat around for about 8 mins, not being acknowledged at all. Two techs were helping customers, but the tech in the last seat in the back doing nothing refused to acknowledge me. 2 other customers came in and were greeted by her.it felt almost races, I have never had such a problem with rudeness. I will never be back to this one, thanks a lot Reyna a simple acknowledging hello was all a veteran wanted

Lenscrafterss customer service is phenomenal ! My family and I all wear glasses and have received help from them on more than one occasion a year. Everytime we go,they make sure that the new glasses are well fitted,that we can see clearly through them,and that we are satisfied with them on the way out.Especially with Bonnie,she works very well on service.I cannot express how grateful I am to the people who work there.

Great place. I felt welcomed but not preasured to buy anything I didnt want to. I was so impressed that I got both my contacts and my glasses there. My wife also got glasses here.

They are trying to screw you. We bought 900 dollar frames that where already paid for and because we didnt pick them up the day they where delivered they sent them back to credit for frames we already paid for. We are now out 900 dollars and our frames while they got paid twice for them. That store is nothing but a scam. Go only if you wish to be screwed out of money.

WORST experience ever. Receptionist was so rude, unhelpful and Ive never experienced such poor customer service by anyone! When I asked to speak to her manager, she snapped at me and said hes out of town. I asked to speak to anyone, just someone who would help me. She said there was no one else I could talk to. When I asked to just get my prescriptions, she kept attacking me and wouldnt print them out. I asked her to please stop talking and print my prescriptions and her response was, Im not a child and Ill talk if I want to. Really? All the while, the staff and doctors are all walking by and absolutely no one offered to help me. I would not recommend this place unless you want to experience the absolutely worst service.

Worst customer service ever. Good luck trying to get anyone to help you or even acknowledge you needing assistance. Standing in a line of 6 waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Store not staffed appropriately and store manager ignores people waiting and to make worse, refuses to make eye contact or acknowledge the situation. Never again. I will order my future pairs online.

Dr. Labroff runs a great practice here! His approach is very thorough and my wife and I will continue to return to see him! The staff was very nice and ran all preliminary tests prior to seeing the doctor. Dr. Labroff makes going to the eye doctor once a year as good as it could be!

My son had broken his glasses and the place where we had the warranty on them said the frames were on back order. That was going to take a month! Frantic I called LensCrafters at SAN Tan and Christian answered he said most glasses can be done in an hour just fax the prescription. Shout out to the female owned small business Perfect Focus who immediately faxed over the prescription to LC. The only problem was that it was 4:15 and the last order for glasses needed to come in by 5pm. I said Ill just show up and pray!It was busy when I got there. Ill be real, no one said hello be right with you not doctor or glasses staff so I almost gave 4 stars but they made up for it. I think technically I was 2nd in line but Christian noticed me and helped me first anyways. We found the same pair of glasses for my son and was assured that yes we could have them in an hour that was like 4:50!The glasses were ready and I was assured we could count on them for help in the future and got a follow up call from Christian. So I dont know about the doctors but Ill rely on LC for emergency eyewear!

I assure you this should not be a place of choice. Initially I called to set the appointment. One day later a girl called me back from there asking me if my birth date was some odd year, making me 16. I repeated my birth date. Then she asked if I had my insurance card on me, keep in mind I had provided this information prior. I explained that I did not and she hung up one me. If it had been an accident she would have called back. The next issue was with the doctor. I came in for contacts and they had me take the ones out that I had in. I wear false lashes so a lash got in my eye and my eye was red, the doctor walks out, without even introducing himself, and says VERY RUDELY, I hope your eye isnt irritated because I can tell you Im NOT fitting you for contact lenses I was blown away. They took my insurance information prior and didnt have any correct information. They told me at the last minute that they are pretty sure I have a co pay, then they told me the lenses were 100% covered and would be back in 1-2 days, they didnt come back until a week in a half later. They called me to tell me that I have a co pay on the lenses. These people are unprofessional and cannot seem to get anything right. DONT GO THERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT! ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE HUMANA INSURANCE! Humana has better places it can recommend!

Awesome! I have been going to Dr. Labroff for about 4-5 years now. I am extremely picky about who I go to because I am in the healthcare field. Every experience I have ever had with Dr. Labroff and his staff have been positive. I have to admit that I am a phobic person when it comes to my eyes- but they are always patient with me. I can tell that they truly care. This is not your typical Lenscrafters either. The professionalism and knowledge that Dr. Labroff has are unlike any that you will find. In fact, I would never go to any other location or similar facility after coming here. He also takes the time to educate and I dont feel rushed. I want to add that I am a cash pay patient. The prices are very reasonable (and again I stress that the quality far surpasses any other eye care franchise you may come across). Thanks!!!

Great staff and support, problem is the prices are twice as high as other places. I got 2 pairs of glasses for about half the price. I was quoted over $1,000 for one pair. lol, I am done with LC.

First exam about 3 weeks ago, the Dr. Herndon walks in and says my, youre a big fella arent you. You barely fit into the chair. I know Im overweight and I dont need to pay someone for a service to have them insult me. When I got my glasses, they didnt seem right so I called and they setup a new appt with Dr. Steven LaBroff.Dr. Labroff was fantastic and spent a lot of time with me not only checking my eyes the way they should be checked (Dr. Herndon didnt even distance check with a chart for my computer glasses. He said they would just double the reading prescription). Dr Labroff also took time to explain to me how my diabetes can affect the prescription and how if my sugar is out of whack, then my prescription will be too so I need to be mindful of that.I will never have Dr. SmartAss again, but I will most definitely go to Dr. Stephen Labroff and I very strongly recommend him. Stay away from Dr. Smart Ass!

Poor service. Called to schedule an appointment in advance. Provide insurance information over the phone they confirmed they accept my insurance. Show up for the appointment at 4:40 won’t see me because they never called to verify coverage on my insurance and now the insurance company is closed. Do not bother with this office go to another location or doctor.

Youll get stuck here for hours and theyll make you walk around the block to use the restroom.....

Just an awful experience. Their slogan of in about an hour should be changed to in maybe 2 days.They are very rude and very slow!!
