As a snowbird who returns every year to AZ for the winter, I always know there will be checks that need to be made on the older car I store here. SSC has done that for about five years. I can always be assured I am getting an total and fair evaluation of my car when I take it to SSC. In my book, they can’t be beat!

Took them a car that was recently purchased for them to just go over. They found several issues that were undetected by another mechanic. This repair shop is top notch and I trust them with all my vehicles.

Great service , had my wife’s GMC Acadia in for A/C repair. Got it done same day and picked up by 5:00 . Wife’s happy so that makes me happy . Greg went above and beyond to get it taken care of in one day . Will recommend and come back for future services

They were quick, I’ll give them that, but it went downhill from there. After they told me my code was wrong and not fixable because the part was not available (spoiler: it was correct and is now fixed), they tried to tell me the only solution was a new/rebuilt transmission. They told me they pulled some transmission fluid (on a closed system, mind you), but the guy who called couldn’t even tell me if there were shavings in it (I looked at the other place, it was normal), though he was very happy to try to guilt me into a 4K job.

I emailed SSC with possible services needed to be done and they sent back a quote in a timely fashion and I dropped off the vehicle with ease and they fixed it up same day. Good people and Good prices.

I was able to get my car in the same day I called, which was a concern with the car overheating and the high temps in July. They called me back before the end of the day and had identified two of the repair items that needed to be done. They are professional and we have used them several times in the last couple years with both our vehicle for service/ repair. We trust them and would highly recommend.

Have nothing but good things to say about SSC auto repair. A friend of mine referred me to SSC after I received an outrageous estimate from another repair shop. Very professional very detail oriented and walked me through step-by-step what is needed to be done to fix my car. Received a detailed write up with photos illustrating what needed to be done. Let’s just say their estimate was about a quarter of what the other shop was. If you were looking for a shop that is trustworthy this is your place.

I brought my car in because I was having a little bit of an overheating problem so I told him to flush the radiator coolant system upon a federal examination they determined that one of my sensors needed to be changed. They took care of it in the car runs perfect now.

Super friendly off the bat when coming in. I was having issues with spark plugs and a cylinder misfire. I had been trying many places and they were asking way more for a diagnosis. When I came in here, immediately was welcomed better than anywhere else and also offered to have half the diagnostic go towards fixing this issue. They have no BS and were honest and explained fully what needed to be done rather then brush over it and surprise you with a bill at the end. Highly recommended

Ive been servicing my cars here for close to 15 years. When people ask me why I take it there, my amswer is because I never have to take it back. Curteous service, honest and on time dont mean a thing if they cant fix it right the first time every time. This location does just that.

I took my vehicle in for a standard oil change and they checked out my tires and answered some more questions about my car free of charge. The mechanic said that everything looked good and did not try to make any unnecessary sales. It was a very stress free, professional, and positive experience.

These guys know BMWs unlike most shops in the area. They use oil and filters that meet BMWs stringent requirements. Service is prompt and friendly. Occasionally they offer discount coupons that are a super value. Highly recommend this shop.

Its hard to find a good and honest mechanic. Even living in Gilbert, I would drive to northwest Mesa...until I found SSC. They are a great crew with integrity, skill, and humility. I trust them with my only vehicle, and I trust them when I send my wife (who knows ZIP about cars). They will explain as best they can to your knowledge level, and they almost always offer to save parts as proof of repair - that is BOLD! Every time I go in, I am greeted pleasantly and as quickly as possible - due to all the positive reviews they get, they can get busy! Once they turn to you, however, you become their priority. I can respect and appreciate how they run their business. It is hard to be the guy who says you have to spend money, sometimes more than we would like, to get back on the road. SSC does so with honesty and transparency that I wish more businesses had.TL;DR: I plan to go to SSC for as long as Im in the Valley.

I brought my 2018 Colorado in for transmission service on Monday. George helped me. He was awesome and friendly and explained in detail why he had to do certain things for my service. What a positive experience! Brought my van in to have it checked out for trailering, and asked them to investigate a known issue with the front axles. I brought my vehicle in after a minor accident. While i can understand thier attempt to fix the damage but thier qoute on my 16 yr old truck included fixing not broken parts on opposite side of steering. Than when i chose to leave the lot the gentleman who drove my truck around front while attempting to make a left turn with a truck with already diagnosed broken steering parts, turned the wheel too hard and pulled the tie rod out dumping my power steering fluid everywhere resulting in me needing a tow truck. Thanks again but you will not get my business or recommendation

Had the Air conditioning repaired on my wifes car out of warranty at SSC Automotive repair in Gilbert, Arizona. It seems to be a particular difficulty repair and they are having problems getting it to operate at full cooling mode.I just took the car back in for the third attempt at a satisfactory repair. I have to say they are living up to their good reputation. They are completely replacing the entire system at their own expense to get it operating properly.I have to say that many people speak highly at the quality of their service. These guys are the best, they only work on what I wanted, I used to work on my own cars but I got too old, and i picked these guys because they know their trade, I bought new cars and the dealers screwed up regular maintenance that only SSC could fix, plus by my second visit Brian remembered all my family members, which was nice. Ive read the reviews and theres a lot of 5 stars. I wish I had that same experience. I bought a truck from Horne and as was driving home the check engine light came on. They advised me to drop it of at SSC. I did. They called me the next day said truck was ready nothing wrong with it, it was just the battery. I picked it up. Got on the 202 to head into Tempe when after about 20 min check engine light comes back on. I called them back and they said to bring it back in. Since i add already close to my destination I explained I would drop it of the next day. Sadly as I exited the freeway the truck wouldnt move. It didnt shift into any gear. Ended up having a Tempe police officer push me with his car of the street as I was blocking traffic. Anyways turned out it was the transmission. My question is how does it go from, it was the battery, to something a lot more serious like the transmission? I get it back today so hopefully it runs.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Horrible, careless work, and now Im out an extra $60 buying parts they took or lost. They didnt put back my 2 bolts when they checked my air filter so now thats just flopping around loose in my hood. And to replace those is $10 plus shipping. And when rotating my tires, a simple job, when replacing my hub caps they put them on incorrectly so I lost 2 of them on the drive home. Luckily I found one of them but still missing one. How hard is it to line a peg with a hole to put the hub cap back on? Theres another $40 to replace those as well. Extremely disappointed.

Working away from home, called for a spur of the moment issue i had with a company vehicle. SSC was perfectly professional, fast, and competitively priced. Quality repair work done efficiently and priced fairly. Im a repeat customer and recommend SSC as an honest and professional automotive repair shop.

I have been in a few times, but I probably wont be anymore. Took vehicle in for diagnostic which they charge for and dont credit toward the bill. Turned out to be camshaft sensor on 2005 Xterra. Quote was for $428.95 and $123.00 is the diagnostic. Quotes from other mechanics are $289.00 and $350.00 and both include the diagnostic. They dont claim to be a budget shop, but the cheaper of the two quotes is a mobile mechanic which comes to you. I have never had issues with any of SSC repairs on my cars, but this quote is significantly more expensive then other shops. I dont mind paying a competitive price to any shop. I gave them an opportunity to justify the price, but they only offered to get a cheaper component which at best would have saved $50.00-$60.00. You guys are really close to my house, but I value my resources too much to throw any money away.

I have been to SSC a couple of times. Each time I have been concerned about a large bill to get my problem fixed. Each time it actually cost less than I thought it would. I think they have great service and are eager to minimize the cost to the customer.

My family and I just moved to Arizona from Washington state. We had a great home town-small town mechanic that we trusted and we were a bit concerned moving to a new big city that we wouldnt find the same service. Boy, were we wrong. Justin and his crew at the Williams Field SSC were awesome. When I walked in and explained to him our problem and guy was sitting in the waiting room and he said, You came to the right place. I shrugged it off, and left my car. Boy, was he right. Justin was on the spot with the problem I explained and he followed up with phone calls before proceeding on with the work since there were a few other things that he found. Its nice to have a place you can trust and good people looking out for you (and your vehicles).

Treat you poorly, and your clearly just a customer to them. They will nickel and dime you for everything. Had a poor experience before and had my car returned to me as if they sprayed it with a fire extinguisher. complained to them about it and they did nothing. Go back because they are the closest place to get a car fixed near me when I need it and the guy comments to me your the people that blamed us for a dent in your car i didnt blame you for that at all I didnt even take action I simply complained about the condition my car was returned to me! Imterrible customer service! 1/10 dont go if you dont have to!
