I Can not thank the staff at Visionworksenough for rescuing me last Friday.After losing a lense and panicking,The Staff went out of their way to get me in for an exam and getting me in a new pair of glasses, helping me with my insurance andDespite being shorthanded and BUSY wereVery pleasant and professional at all times !Thanks to the 2 girls I worked with out front(Sorry I forgot names)Thanks to the doctor and to the mystery person behind the swinging door.I Appreciate you all !!Edward RogersGeorgetown

Dr. W. Grant is very professional and will give you the attention and care a patient needs. The sales staff, definitely needs to have eye care sales training, and I mean in depth training. Lack of communication skills and flippant attitudes get on my patience real fast. A gentleman at the next counter had a similar complaint as myself,so obviously its a common occurrence. Of course Im always excited to see cell phones in sight. Definitely took the refund the sales associate offered since her lack of interest was absolutely blatant.Enough said.

I would not ever recommend this eye doctor To anyone. I’m unsure of the name of the guy who did my exam but I paid out of pocket for glasses that I can’t read out of. He was very rude and questioned my eye sight like I was lying. I Have never been treated this way. I was very uncomfortable and unable to ask questions because he treated me like I was uneducated and had no idea what I was talking about even though all I said was I am constantly looking at electronics due to my phone and my job. He was short and had glasses he is very very unprofessional

I came here shortly after quarantine to get new glasses. The staff here is super nice and they helped me so much. But, the thing that made my experience terrible was the optometrist. He told me that in the 2 years that I have gone without getting my glasses checked that my prescription hasn’t changed much, but it looked like there was a small change, so he wanted to go forward with that. I was fine with that and ordered frames and lenses.My glasses came in 2 weeks later. They seemed off, so I gave them about 3 weeks to adjust to the change. At this point, I can tell that they are pretty blurry compared to what I had. I made an appointment with the same guy to get them checked. At this appointment, he was not as friendly as the first appointment. He told me that even though my vision is blurry, it was “as good as it was going to get”. And that he couldn’t do anything to help me. When he held up different lenses, he would go back and forth between them saying things like “how can this one look better if you said this one is worse?” Almost acting like I was lying about it and being very confusing. I think he knew I was upset, but didn’t seem to care. I wish I could get glasses that work well, but I’ve already used insurance for the year and honestly don’t want to deal with trying to get a refund at this point.

Last year I saw a doctor here (Georgetown location) that was way too old to be practicing medicine. Today when I went here for my annual exam I was happy I was going to see a different (younger) optometrist (Wallace G.). As soon as he walked in the room I was turned off. The first thing he said to me was I cant do an exam with a stroller in the way. I had my infant next to me in her stroller. All he had to do was ask me to move it instead of speaking to me the way he did. I waited 30 minutes to be seen and he saw me for all of five minutes. The exam was rushed and not thorough. When he looked at my eyes I apparently squinted because of the bright lights and he said I cant check your eye if it isnt opened. He was such a smarta** about everything! Very poor bedside manner!! I asked what to use for dry eyes and he took out a sheet of paper about dry eye disease and circled an eye drop on it. He didnt discuss it or ask me anything or try to help the situation. The motto of Visionworks should be quantity over quality. Its obvious theyd rather see 50 people in a day and give them the minimum care than see less people and actually spend time with them. I will be finding a new eye doctor and not returning here!

Do not waste your money here. Spent an hour for a 5 minute “eye exam”. Doctor advised to get cheap readers. After it was obvious he hadn’t read my chart I pulled out my glasses in which I was informed they were overpriced readers. Thanks Doc for the time and poorly done “eye exam”. Eye exam=read letters on wall.

I took my 6 year old son for an eye exam. He previously had glasses. He went in and told this them he was having trouble seeing they go on to do there exam and they tell him he doesn’t know his ABC which he does. He just couldn’t see them and my son told them that. I didn’t agree with them saying he didn’t need glasses, had him re checked at vision works in Hamburg. And sure enough. He needed glasses

Doctor Guerrant was very unprofessional towards me and my husband. He insulted a newer employee to my face and dismissed my husbands knowledge of the type of contacts he wears. I informed him of advice given to me by my previous doctor and he instantly dismissed it all without even evaluating my situation. Staff was a bit slower with paperwork than what I am use to. The only reason for 2 stars is the sweet and friendly assistant that took our eye measurements.

Doctor and staff were excellent! Im glad that I took the plunge and switched. I didnt feel rushed or like I was a number. Definitely plan on bringing the rest of the family here for their care as well!Update: Wish I could give even more stars now. Took my kiddo here for an appointment today, and the doctor and staff were once again fantastic, and kiddo was not scared at all which is unusual for doctor appointments. This just cements my decision to keep coming here for all future appointments. Thank you again!

Very unorganized and the customer service girl are hideously rude on the phone and in person. I can handle someone being hateful to me, but there was an elderly couple in the store the same time as I and Ive never heard someone get spoken down to way they were. Id be ashamed if I was this employer.

Husband will have to go back for a 3rd time to get his new glasses corrected. He cannot see clearly. In addition the earpiece has rubbed the top of his ear RAW and they will not stay on his face, just walking across the room they slide down. We will give them one more chance to get this right!!

Called to get information on blue light blocking lenses. Employee who answered the phone seemed annoyed that I was asking questions. Asked her how much it would be to add it on after they were finished. She responded with an attitude, annoyed with me because she didn’t know how much my lenses were. Told me she had two customers in front of here. Didn’t realize it I had to call for questions when it was convenient for her.

I was treated like family by most the staff, they worked very hard to get my contacts correct and help me to learn to use them. Even when busy they took time with me. I really appreciated Lydia and Veneda. They went over and beyond for me.

Daughter broke her glasses. Went to get her a new pair. Wouldnt replace broken ones until new came in BUT THE OFFICE IN FRANKFORT DID!!!! Will not ever return or recommend the Georgetown Office! Frankfort office much friendlier!

My daughter and I were looking for an eye doctor so that she could get her glasses replaced after her puppy chewed them up. We ended up running across Visionworks in Georgetown and not only got her glasses replaced but got my very first pair of glasses in 41 yrs. We have since then had to go back at least 3 times for repairs or replacement and my last visit, just a few days ago. Had to have an eye exam and order a new pair of glasses. I will continue to go to Visionworks as long as they are in business and recommend them to everyone that ask for a good place to go. Thank you Visionworks for helping me see better.

Chandra especially and the girls out at Visionworks in Georgetown are absolutely amazing and have truly OUTSTANDING character. I have brought in many friends and family (including myself) and they not only fit you into their busy schedule but do everything they can on their end to help with pricing, framework, and overall eye health. My mother is an older Korean woman, her English is broken and she can be difficult to understand and work with. However whilst Ive been working down south, Chandra is always a phone call away and takes care of her in my absence. That type of care and concern is priceless people!!! So THANK YOU VERY MUCH ladies!!

First let me say visionworks is the only location close that accepts my insurance so after going to another location for the past 2 years and getting terrible service I was frustrated. A friend recommended this location and faith was restored! They were all so kind and Dr. Omar was awesome. He took his time and really listened to me. He gave me a lot of knowledge about my eye health. Unlike my experiences at the other location where I felt like a number, here I was made to feel like I mattered and my concerns were important. I also worked with Veneda who was so kind she walked me through getting used to my new prescription. Everyone there was simply lovely to work with. Even if you live in Lexington where there are 2 locations I really recommend you make the short drive to the Georgetown location, the staff and doctor there will be worth the drive.

Went in to get frames, no one greeted me or even ask what I needed so I began to look for frames. Found some, went back to desk to get registered, guess what? Not one soul asked can they help me. Decided to keep answering phone calls. Lost a customer and the sad thing I used to work for Dr. Bizers years ago. Definitely needs to work on customer service!

I had a great experience from the time i opened the front door and was greeted by the first person i saw. Every person that worked there spoke to me and made me feel as this was the right place for me. The doctor couldnt have been any more professional and kind. The employee who helped me with the glasses was honest and up front with what looked the best on me cause i had no clue.so i ended up getting 3 pairs of glasses for such a great price that as soon as i walked out i got in the car and called four people to tell them they had to go to this place thats how excited and happy i was.

I recieved a phone call that my daughters glasses were ready to be picked up, I pick her up from school and go to vision works, the staff wasnt very kind, and then brought out two pairs of glasses and ask if they were my daughters. Shes fine and they were very clearly adult frames. They stepped in the back to look and the other associate who called said she called the wrong person and tried to brush It off. I was very frustrated and told them my daughter needed glasses since hers broke. They didnt offer an apology. The manager was sitting there too and didnt offer any empathy.

I had an appointment and i arrived early, however 3 people who arrived after me where seen first. When pricing glasses with insuarance i still had to pay out of pocket $164.00. I am disabled and limited income so i was not able to get them. I got home and went online, the same frames where 40% off but cant use my medicare insuarance online. I called the store again i asked if anyway to lower my cost by $14.00, which i would be paying $150.00, since online was on sale...she said no..so i will go somewhere else..and i am buying the fames online and will take them with me. Now i will only pay $80.00 total...

How are you in business. First they didnt take measurements so my glasses are tight. My poor daughter cant bend over for hers falling off her face. 2nd they kept and then lost my credit card. 3rd we waited over a month for one pair of trial lens. 4th Im still waiting for my 2nd pair of glasses that I was told would take 2 weeks. 5th because all of that isnt bad enough my perception is wrong. I cant see things up close or far out.Update this time was so much better. I was seen on time everyone was nice. The exam was amazing and the lens are perfect.

Worst place I have been for an eye examination. The doctor was not good, Im not sure where he got his medical education probably on line. Sold me glasses I didnt need, I had lasik done a few years ago. Would not recommend this place to anyone. My advice stay away. All they want to do is sell you a pair of glasses. I had some questions put didnt get them answered. Only pushed glasses on me. I told the Dr I had lasik done, didnt concern him, still pushed glasses. What a joke. Told me my glasses would be ready in a couple of days. I called in 2 days to see if the glasses were ready, they told me it would be 2 weeks. I started to complain and what do you know the glasses were ready that afternoon. Again stay away from Vision Works.

Ok... I have been in retail and the customer service business for almost 30 years and tonight hands down , I experienced the most exceptional service I have ever received !! VISIONWORKS in Georgetown went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of ... here’s the short version.. my insurance with Kohls ends tonight, VISIONWORKS closes 7pm.. we have been trying All day starting with Lydia Le-Nelle Whirls GREAT customer service to assist with my insurance to process through.. Literally,Visionworks made tons of calls trying to figure out the issue. I finally gave up and went home. Even after Lydia was off work , she was texting me giving me advice and to call Veneda Sanders and Isha at the store. Veneda provided the most professional efficient service at 6:59 success! Isha and Veneda waited at the store even after it was closed to make sure I was taken care of! they even spent time explaining each detail without rushing through ! WOW ! They were so impressive ! I can not THANK ALL OF THEM ENOUGH! They have my support and loyalty forever! Great group!

I was really nervous about meeting our pre-schools eye exam requirement, because my child has very real sensory issues and any unfamiliar environment causes extreme anxiety, fear, and emotional distress. I read all the online reviews for Visionworks and viewed their website, and as soon as I walked through the doors I knew I had made the right choice for my child. The staff was friendly, patient, encouraging, supportive, and very warm towards my child. My child filled the office with tears and loud sobs, and made every step difficult for both of us. The optometrist was so kind and patient, and I seriously dont have the words to express my gratitude. For our family, simple dr visits like this are traumatic and dreaded, but the staff here really accepted us and made this a memorable experience, not because my child behaved well and the exam was perfect, but because the staff showed me love, understanding, patience, and kindness. I will be back for all of our optometry needs.

I explained I was worried about my eyes and the operator told me I’d have to wait almost a week to see the dr. They never suggested I try walk in or try to work me in sooner. I was having issues that I was really concerned about but obviously they didn’t care. I’m going elsewhere.
