THE LAST GREAT AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP! I dropped a vehicle off to get a rear engine oil leak identified and repaired. I assumed the worst in that it would take a whole day to figure out where the problem was and then a rather costly fix on top of that. The techs had it diagnosed and a resolution within an hour. I expected the bill to be high given the repairs at hand, it wasnt. As a matter of fact, I had to ask Brandon if they billed everything correctly and werent missed anything! In short, the repair was same day and didnt put us in the poor house! The customer service from Brandon was outstanding as well. Very professional, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Like I said above, this is the last great automotive repair shop out there. They will take good care of you!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Man this shop, customer service and technicians are phenomenal from start to finish. I had the pleasure of being greeted by Brandon at the counter to discuss what I came in for. Place was swamped with people, he informed me itll be a while but we can get the service done and I can get out within a few hours(front/rear differential & transfer case) my sad story was I had an appointment elsewhere but due to the current events of shortages I had to cancel my appointment with another shop or wait until who knows how long. Tried another place but wouldnt touch my diff due to the amount of mileage. These guys were my last resort and the pulled through, not only that, they went ahead an offered to do my transfer case. Friendly service, felt a welcoming and comfortable truck in good hands service. I do what I can in my driveway with limited expierence, this was my first time here but it wont be the last. If you are in the Williamson County area an looking for excellent service these are your guys, hands down. 👌💯

I cannot say enough about this shop. Brandon texts me and keeps me in the loop so I know exactly what is going on with my car and when it will be ready. They are always super nice, they do great work, and unlike the dealer they get it done in a timely manner for a reasonable price. We will continue to bring all of our cars to GIT!

Engine replacement. Heavy repairs are always hard conversations. They are expensive. I cannot say enough about Ashleys professionalism and courtesy in addressing engine warranty, car rental, timeliness, etc. She handled everything with exemplary poise going out of her way to ensure customer service. Been coming here for a couple of years..Hector, Brandon and Ashley are the BEST!! Always friendly, informative, and professional, with a touch of fun and laughter to make car repairs or work a little less tiresome while you wait, even when the A/C was out and it was hotter inside than out. I took my “new to me” 2018 Sequioa” in for diagnostic and repair. They were extremely friendly, listened to the concerns I had with vehicle and were quick to help and get it in the shop. They kept me apprised the whole way through, explaining the issues they found, cost and time for repair. They do quality work, done right the first time. I may have found a new shop fit my family’s vehicles.

This shop is so welcoming! Im sitting here in the waiting room and every employee is so cheerful despite the outrageous amount of customers bombarding them on a Monday morning. Changed review: Did not pass windshield for state inspection. Said too dark.. found it was the original tint and auto purchased in Georgetown. Consulted window tinters. Not too dark. Passed inspection since 2014 and passed for 2021 at different location. Changed review to 4 stars due to the owner response. I was just so frustrated after talking to the window tint guy and to the Georgetown auto dealership where the vehicle was purchased. When you are told that you have the original tint and there is another car like mine that parks on my same parking lot that has the same windshield, it is just not understandable.Surely all the tint meters are the same. I am sure Interstate Transmission tech person was doing his job. The people there are very nice and very courteous. However, this vehicle is almost 8 years old and has had a safety inspection every year. i would think all our local businesses would have the same rules. I am only the second owner of this vehicle and the original owner lives right here in Georgetown. I am not asking anyone to break the law, believe me. Maybe the inspection rules have changed owe this 8 year period, but shouldnt an older vehicle be grandfathered? No response is necessary from the owner.

Car maintenance and repair isn’t anything anyone looks forward to doing but these guys definitely improve the experience. First and foremost, I have no doubt about their integrity or work. My daughter lives in Georgetown and her battery died, I am over 2 hours away so I started looking for shops close by, I found Georgetown Interstate Transmission & Auto Repair and gave them a call, this is also during the worst winter storm in Texas. Brandon gave us the number of 2 towing companies but neither could make it, so the owner Joe Bob drove to her personally and jumped her battery then followed her to his shop and replaced the battery. All for a very fair price, Joe Bob and his employees treated my daughter and my granddaughter like family. I dont know a whole about their work but I know their character and since they have excellent character I bet they do excellent work. I would highly recommend these guys! I would give them 10 stars if it were possible.

Highly recommend Georgetown Interstate for any work necessary on your vehicle. They are very professional and have a very clean and well maintained shop and business. Hector and Brandon were very courteous, attentive, and kept me informed step by step. I will bring my business to this location herein. Not to mention my vehicle repairs are covered by their 2yr/24k nationwide warranty.

They charge an arm and leg and finger and a tooth and then they don’t honor the warranty for their work. On 3 different occasions Different people that represent the company tell me totally different things and when I pointed it out the manger he tries to gaslight me and says he can’t work with me because I’m just trying to reach my narrative. The lady on the phone told me I spent $450 and then when I talk to them in there in front of a customer they try to tell me I spent a few hundred. It’s no wonder their best technician quit working there. Disappointed I spent way too much money here in the past thinking their work was good and they were ethical.--In response to their response. When I was in there the manager said they wouldn’t do a evac and recharge under the warranty, this is what I complained about because the lady on the phone and the other gentleman that worked there said they would. Now on here they said they will give me a complementary evac and recharge and said they told me they would earlier which is a total lie. This was the main thing I wasn’t happy with. Yeah they did tell me they would initially on the phone, but then after they had it for 3 and half hours the manager said they wouldn’t and then tried to make me feel stupid for asking why not. The fact that they gaslight me on here again and totally lie and said they would all along speaks volumes to their integrity or lack there of. Not a chance will I bring my vehicle in there now for a complementary evac and recharge after I was told they wouldn’t in the very rude way I was told even though that’s what I really needed and wanted done in the first place. Especially after the manager told me to never bring my vehicle there again as I was walking out the door. I definitely won’t bring my vehicle there again. Very disappointing.

I made an appt. to get my F150 to try to get a problem fixed to get the check engine light cleared. I left the truck and went home fearing a big bill for the repair. Instead, I got a phone call from Brandon telling me that they couldnt address the problem for my bi-fuel vehicle. Instead of BSing me, he came with a straight answer and told me there wouldnt be a charge for the visit since they didnt work on my kind of truck! I appreciated his honesty and integrity and believe he represents the spirit of the shop. This was very refreshing to me and I will definitely bring my wifes car there if it ever needs any service!

This business continues to amaze me. Im glad I found them soon after coming to Georgetown.I took in my vehicle when my check engine light came on and asked that some irritating minor repairs be performed . Turns out I needed some extensive work done. When Hector called, he was concerned about the repairs cost since he knows Im retired, so provided me with several options. I always appreciate this.When I picked up the car, it turned out that two of the minor repairs werent ready because the listed parts sent didnt fit properly. So, Hector promised me that he would find ones that fit and then would give me a call so that I could return to finish the repairs. He assured me that they wouldnt take long.By the time I went in again, the brake warning light was coming on frequently and I could hear a scraping noise occasionally; so, I thought I would need further repairs. Turns out that the tech never got the light to come on or could hear a noise; that my brake system was fine. When I was told this, it didnt make sense to me. After checking with the tech again, Hector suggested that since my car is old (2007), it may be that at times, the brake pad stays extended for awhile after braking, but then returns to its proper position eventually. I believe he was right since the light and noise havent reoccurred.From my experience with repair shops, I find my interactions at this business refreshing. I always receive a warm greeting and spend a few minutes catching up before either Hector or Brandon listens carefully to my problem. I find the repairs to be excellent and have great confidence in the expertise of the techs. As for cost, Ive always found them to fair and reasonable.Overall, an exceptional business that provides friendly service and excellent repairs.

I have been to this Auto Repair shop twice. Both times, from the initial call to the completion of service have been incredible. I would say enjoyable, but thats like saying getting a tooth pulled was enjoyable, as we all know car repairs are anything but. I took a Pontiac fiero here about a year or two ago to get the parking brake fixed and the windshield wiper. Took two days and the weekend (I called them earlier and told me to come after the weekend. and they werent able to fix it, and not only that but the employee acted like I left the car there when THEY told me to come for it another day. And I still had to pay like 60 plus for it. Yes Im still mad about it and shouldve asked for a refund. But maybe this review will help someone.Bring someone knowledgeable about cars and dont be afraid to go somewhere else.

Front desk was great, wonderful experience but only had inspection done. Slight miscommunication to the back, they almost replaced my battery for $180 by mistake. Got it sorted and would definitely go back there.

Georgetown Interstate has my trust and has earned not only my continued business but my future recommendations in regard to auto needs.My family had been taking our cars to Georgetown Interstate since we moved here to Georgetown a year and a half ago. When my college aged daughter needed a tune up I let her know Georgetown Transmission would take of it. It turns out the repair was much more involved. It required part of the engine to be sent to a subcontractor and returned for Georgetown Interstate to reassembly. When the engine was reassembled and ready for pick up it was clear, by the nature of the problem, the subcontractor had not fixed the problem. Shortly thereafter, the problem worsened and the engine became irreparable. Customer service lead, Gene was the first to confront the subcontractor. In the end, the sub refused to take responsibility of his failed work. It was then the owner, Joe Bob, made the decision to stand behind the work of another. He has committed to replacing the engine at no further cost! Wow! So relieved to finally find an honest auto repair shop.I went there for an oil/filter service as well as 100,000 maintenance check on my Honda Accord. I thought for sure that they would tell me I needed to do some major overdue service. However, Brandon, the assistant manager let me know that my reliable Honda checked out fine. Have used this shop quite a few times in the past. Always had good service until the last couple years its seemed theyve been grossly overcharging.This past week we got a quote from them to do some work for $8300 and we were able to get the exact same work done with brand new parts at another shop for under $2000.TEdit(in response to owners response): we were in the shop, our silver 2014 jeep was left on the rack with differential housing off from November 6th through the 9th. Weve used yall a couple times since 2012 to fix our other 2004 Jeep and our Hyundai Elantra. We have used my wifes phone number so thats probably why youre unable to find us. Attached are the pictures. The quote total was $8,303(and some change). Our total cost at another shop was about 2k.So since yall didnt actually do any work on it we essentially paid yall $368.99 for just a diagnosis. Insane!Weve never had any issues with yall in the past, Gene was always our go-to guy. Yall have just become absurdly expensive the last few times weve come in and my dad who also used to use yall a bunch has noticed the same trend.

I went in on a Monday morning, right after they opened, to get a vehicle inspection. The employees behind the counter were pleasant and eager to help me. The check out process was fast, and the inspection was even quicker; I didnt even get a chance to finish my small coffee I got from their coffee pot in the lobby. I really enjoyed the experience. The lobby was clean, the parts of the garage I could see looked clean and well kept also. I will definitely go back for service in the future.

So thankful to Jo Bob and his team for the excellent and honest work on my Cadillac. I brought my Cadillac into the team at Georgetown Interstate Transmission after picking up my car from a dealership for minor warranty work. After hearing of the repairs the dealership said I needed, that would not be covered under warranty, I took it to these guys for a second opinion. I made it very clear that all I needed was a verification that the repairs were needed, and I planned on Jo Bobs team completing the repairs. Jo Bob could have agreed with the dealership and charged me for unneeded repairs. Jo Bobs team charged me $78 compared to the $820, because they were honest about what my vehicle needed. I am so grateful to have mechanics that I can trust will not lie to and/or overcharge me. Thank you, Georgetown Interstate Transmission!!! I appreciate honest work. I am a loyal customer for life.

Service was still respectable and expedient in spite of the events. A second chance will be given. It is unfortunate that my first experience had to go this way though.

Our vehicle broke down at the Shell in Gtown off University/130 and we were towed to this AAA approved garage. Worked w/Brandon. We thought it was the e but turns out, just some burnt wires altering the gas gauge reading (car was on empty but showed 1/4 + of a tank) Quick and honest service and repair. Will use this garage again for a maintenance repair (we live by Lakeline Mall). Very satisfied customers.

It was a big repair and they could have told me that they couldnt get to it for a few days but when I told them its our only vehicle, they went out of their way to get it done and back to us. Honest and sincere, I was given an analysis of the issue and made aware of pending without pressure. Their shuttle took me to and from my nearby home while truck was serviced. These are good guys.

Have had 2 cars inspected and an oil change done. Always fast, courteous service at a good price. While having the oil change done, they noted a leak in an axle boot, but instead of the expected we can fix it (generating more income for them), they suggested I take it to the dealer to see if it was covered under warranty. Thats good service. I will be back.

Very good service but way overpriced. Went to take my wifes car for an alternator change and paid almost 700$$. After I called other places for a quote and those places were between 200-300$$ cheaper. I recommend going to another place if money if your worry. 700$ for an alternator is absurd. They sold me the alternator for almost 300$ and charged me almost 400$ for labor when it took them a little over 2 hours to replace.

I have had 4 different vehicles, all of them I take to Gene here, I have had my family take thier vehicles as well because I would never trust anyone else with my cars nor my families cars except Gene. I dont have to worry about being over charged, sold something I dont need or given sub par service. I recently brought my truck in for what I thought was a stoplight switch gone bad. I had called, told them I had the part and just needed a quote, and they quoted me such a reasonable price I seriously about fell out of my chair. Turns out the actual problem was the stoplight bumper, and not the switch itself. They got the part they needed within that day and switched it out. Even better: when they called to tell me what the actual problem was, they happily told me it was a few bucks cheaper. What they could have done is been like most places: charged me a diag fee and turn around and rob me on parts and labor. Not the case here. Lastly, Im a woman and I genuinely appreciated the men treating me as just another customer, with respect, and not trying to take advantage of me. Thank you, thank you! I promise I will be back!
