After searching at two other well known local craft/fabric/hobby stores for the type of artificial flowers my wife was looking for we ended up here. Michaels had everything we were looking for and a whole lot more. The prices on comparable items from the other stores seems to be somewhat less expensive at Michaels. Its nice to know this store is a good resource for future projects.

I like this national chain store a lot however, they sell in my opinion many over priced, low quality products. No matter what I purchase at this store, my end price is always annoying!!They do however more often than not have very nice employees.

I got 3 maps framed for our beach house. Elizabeth was amazing with helping choose right matting, etc. They turned out beautiful

Always fun to visit Michaels! Although they didnt have what I needed, an employee directed me to another store that might carry what I needed. It turns out the other store also did not have what I needed, but I appreciate the Michaels associate trying to graciously help me with my local search!

Went in to buy several wooden crates for a non profit. Was excited to find a group of 3. Not one with a price. Hunted and hunted for others priced or staff. Grabbed a few other things. Finally found an employee in the back. She was helpful. After checking around, it appear the crates were for internal use only. Wasted about 30 mins that I cant get back. Bought nothing!

I did not have a bad experience here. My only problem is that all while I was walking through the store no one asked me if I needed help. Once Im getting ready to leave, then I get asked.

This michaels is wonderfully stocked. Theres another one closer to me but it is usually pretty picked over. Clean and organized store where the staff is friendly and helpful. They always make sure you take advantage of all the deals and coupons youre eligible for.

Today was my first visit to the store. I was looking for many different fondants for cupcakes that Im doing. The sizes that I needed were not found. Most of the colors were not either. I found a few items from the Christmas clearance. I would have bought more from the seasonal clearance, but, the prices werent right for me. The store is in a very popular area with many stores/food venues to choose from. Great location right off the I-35 service road.

I was in the middle of giving up on searching for a kitty charm when Nathanial walked over and asked me if I was finding everything ok. He was very kind and professional. I would have walked out of the store empty handed without his help.

This store always has what were looking for, and the staff is nice. Only issue is the air: its warm and stuffy every time I go in there.

Pmichaels just have a simple problem, things are hard to find on stores and to find an employee you need to be crafty.

I wanted to purchase a Lemax Halloween house. I was told there is no box, which was ok with me. What was not ok is that I requested the adapter to go with it, and was told there was not one, and the associate was maintaining the houses aren’t sold with one. How is someone supposed to use a house that lights up, with no adapter? I do understand it was a display item, but if someone is willing to purchase product with no box, adapter, and has been out for people to mess with, then why can there not even be a small discount for it? In the past I have bought display houses and with the adapter for a tiny discount. I’m not expecting something for nothing, this house is still $51 without tax! I would have loved this house to add to my collection, but the way the situation was handled was not customer friendly. By the way, I’ve been collecting Lemax for years, and they always come with plug ins. The adapter by itself starts at about $18.

Love the seasonal sales. If you ever need a way to entertain children just stop in Michaels and your sure to find an idea, or many.

Overall I love the store and most of the staff are friendly and helpful when needed, but the discounts & sales that you think your getting when you have a reward account isnt worth any discounts because prices are increased or the sale price doesnt allow you to use coupons. Only full retail ideas.

I love stopping in Michaels for clients closing gifts as well as decorating at home. The Christmas goodies are so fun!

Great variety and great service

Almost every store I know will match their online price. However they do not. The cashier said I could order it online and pick it up the same day if I wanted the sale price. Its silly! So I asked if I could just place the order right there and take the one I had in my hand. She said unfortunately I would have to wait for their system to show my purchase order, and that could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours! That is insane!!!

Love this place. Didnt realize how much cheaper they are than other places, but after going to a few to look for Cross stitch materials I saw. Much cheaper and their thread isle is so much cleaner. I do wish they had more inventory when it comes to cross stitching.

Walked around looking for help for 10 minutes. Only 1 cashier to be seen. When I finally found someone (who was now helping the cashier) who knew the product I was looking for, she said they didnt have it. Ok...fine. I told her there should be at least one person in the floor to help customers. She said they were just opening and people where just getting in...It was 1:30pm on a Friday.

Very small store. Signs in one area that should also be in another area (since they have like items displayed in different areas), so you dont know if what you pick up is on sale, or if you will have to use your coupon. They do have a scanner, if you can luck into finding it. Also, good luck in finding ANYONE to help you. There was one cashier checking out customers. We walked completely around the store for a good ten minutes, and didnt see anyone. During our search for an employee, we decided to use the restroom, which was out of paper towels. A note on the door said to notify a staff member if the restroom needed attention, but of course, we were having a problem even finding a staff member. Finally found somebody, but she couldnt help (wed forgotten about the restroom paper towels by then so didnt tell her about that). We had to wait for the cashier to get an item down from the wall.

I recently had a HORRIBLE experience with the framing department at Georgetown Michaels. I took in 6 pieces of MY ORIGINAL ARTWORK for framing. I explained the labor and love I had put into a gift for my granddaughter on the birth of her baby. Joelleen assured she would take good care of it. I commented when I picked it up that it didnt look right. When I unwrapped it for photos, I was shocked to see a wrinkle all along the right side of the art. It appeared to have been glued together sloppily. It should not have been glued or whatever was done that RUINED the art! When I spoke to the framing department manager, Sheree, on the phone, she said she could refund my money if I return the materials OR give me a 25% discount, and itll be done in 1-2 days! Neither of these is satisfactory to the great grandmother of a baby BORN today who has spent a week recreating the artwork because a framer was having a bad day! I am beyond dissatisfied! I had to give this 1 star to post it. I would remove it if I could. Pick another place to have your special piece framed!

The selection is good, prices are mostly reasonable (a few fancy overpriced items) and the staff were incredibly helpful. I went to find frames for my Mother in laws birthday and they helped me pick them out and even find the other ones I needed at a nearby store and have it held for me.

Michaels is awesome. We need more in my area. One is simply not enough. They have a sale going on right now. As always.

The cashier was wonderful at offering information for a future tie dye project I want to do with my little girls. She helped with information on what would be needed to prepare and do the actual work and what dyes would work better for my 4 and 5 year old girls and just plain helpful overall!

If I can find someone to help me I feel like Im bothering them. I went in when I first moved to the area four years ago and felt the same way. I thought I would give it another try a couple of weeks ago and imagine my surprise when nothing had changed. Too bad, the location is great but I think Ill shop elsewhere.
