I want Home Depot today in Georgetown. I have a wood saw didn’t work and I can’t figure out why not working. The moment I walked in the store David Barrow welcomed me and asked how I can help you? I explain the issue and he take it from here and fix the issue. There are no word can describe the value and appreciation I have for David Barrow. He take the customer service to higher level standard. His help was above and beyond. I can keep talking and writing but won’t be enough to show appreciation for his work. Anyway! Thank you again and again David Barrow.

Cory in the paint department is literally the best employee in the store. I drove all the way from Bastrop and spoke with Cory the day before about a specific spray paint that I needed for my wedding. He informed me that that specific color was discontinued but they had some in stock that I could pick up. I drove there today (Tuesday the 2nd) and a woman had picked up the last of the cans. I cried in the middle of the store full of strangers. Cory assured me he would help solve my now problem at hand. He mixed a color as close as he could for me and showed me the correct attachments to turn the paint into a spray paint. Thanks to Cory for just being himself and truly caring for his customers. That man needs and deserves everything good in life. Cory if you see this, I absolutely appreciate you and what you did for me. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!

Tammy in the paint department was very helpful and knowledgeable! I needed more paint for a project than I had originally bought. Another employee was less than helpful when I returned to the store for more paint. However, Tammy stepped in and answered all of my questions and gave me options to make finishing my project easier and more cost effective! The manager Rick was also great! He not only listened to my concerns, but quickly rectified the situation as well. Both Rick and Tammy went above and beyond and offered GREAT customer service! We are currently doing many home renovation projects, and I will for sure be back to the Georgetown Home Depot.

Do not order online with In-Store pickup. If it’s you’re only option, expect to wait 14 days after it arrives at the store before you can pick it up. If you go prior to that, you’ll be informed that it’s sitting in a pile in the back and they’ll get to it when they get to it.Maybe Lowe’s or Amazon can do a little better.

Associate Review: Dept-Tools. Associate-T. I came looking to make a toolbox my husband couldnt claim as his. I noticed T offering to help his associate in the tool aisle and recruited his assistance. His professionalism, willingness to help and knowledge were impeccable. He was patient and listened to me describe what I was attempting to accomplish and provided guidance every step of the way. Together we assemble all the home tools I would need. Absolute excellent service!

I went to the gardening section looking for flowers for my mother and a nice employee called Jose Zavala helped me out throughout my entire time there he gave me advice on what would look best and what would help my plant grow. No stock on 15/32 cabinet grade plywood for over 2 months, when I last bought some. Poor to no signage for Ryobi Days. Was prepared to buy several items but was told deal I saw advertised was no longer in effects. Ryobi differed, said it should be in effect for another week. Guess I wont buy any. Bought a Toro Riding Mower from here and paid around $350 for the warranty. Bad decision. When the machine broke down they sent it to a shop that doesn’t even have a mechanic. The mower sat there outside for three months before they even a put a finger on it. During that time I went to Home Depot many times to see if they could do something about it since they were the ones who sent my mower there. All they did was tell me to call the warranty. I called the warranty many times and they gave me another number to call. Called that number and it was unavailable. It was just the same cycle. Today I came to pick up my mower from the shop to find out that the shop doesn’t even have a mechanic. They charged me around $200 to take out my mower because the warranty doesn’t cover the damages. I’m just wondering how a big corporation like Home Depot doesn’t have their own mechanic and how they send it to a place that doesn’t have a mechanic. Don’t buy the warranty from Home Depot. Save your money because at the end you will be paying to repair your machine.

We lost our Rosemary bush due to the freeze in February and Home Depot had just what I needed. I had searched HEB and Walmart several times--no rosemary! Oh my the plants Home Depot had was amazing!! So so many flowers, vegetables, shrubs, trees~I have not seen a better selection of plants anywhere!! Beautiful.

I would give this store zero stars but have to give it one in order to post. If you are thinking of ordering floor you might want to think again. First of all in order to get the best price you have to go into the store the online store is separate from the brick and motors as well as the price being higher. I went into the physical store and ordered vinyl floor with the assistance of a store associate. The earliest delivery date for the flooring was more than a month out. I figured this would give me plenty of time to get the house prepped for the installation. I scheduled time off from work to align with the delivery and give me time to complete the installation. The day before the order was set to be delivered Home Depot called and said they cancelled my order, because the employee didnt complete the order correctly. They didnt have an issue charging it to my credit card though. So thats a month of my time wasted.I went into the store and talked to the manager on duty and he said that he could give me a discount if I would reorder with them and give them another chance. I should have just taken my business somewhere else. I was going to have to wait an additional two weeks for this order to come in. Home Depot called me to schedule the delivery when the order finally came in. I was told to call the store the morning of the delivery to get an estimate of when the delivery would be made. I did so and was given a time of 12:30pm, but they want you to be available from 6am to 8pm. 12:30pm came and went, I waited until 6:30pm and called the store again to confirm that the delivery was still coming. I was told the delivery was cancelled and that it would have to be rescheduled. No one bothered to inform me of this change and instead allowed me to waste my day waiting for a delivery that would never happen. If I wouldnt have called the store I wouldnt know that they rescheduled it for me without even making sure someone would be available to accept the order. I am having to make arrangements again to have someone wait around the house again and hope they actually deliver it this time.This experience has been a nightmare. Home Depot has made it clear that they do not value their customers or their time. I wont have a problem spending my money with a another company time. I have learned my lesson. In total they have wasted almost two months of my time.Doers cant get anything done if Home Depot doesnt deliver!

Stopped by to pick up a prelit 6.5 Christmas tree we purchased online for our new house. This is a nice big store and people here (in Georgetown) dont seem to be in such a hurry as they are in Austin. What a nice change! But the fact that it is the weekend before Thanksgiving it was crowded cause there were lots of folks shopping, thus 4 stars. We also looked at a Samsung over the range microwave oven to replace the exhaust hood currently in place above our existing stove. Think we found it!

I had to use one star in order to post this . If you are thinking flooring think again. First, appointment time to measure are set day of appointment between they will call you between 7AM-9AM, so basically your whole day is shot. Day of appointment at 10:30 AM they cancel because tech cant make. One tech only, I guess. In the meantime you have had to make your floor selection, and wait to get the measure appointment 2 weeks have gone by and a waste of time. Now you have to work to get your $50.00 deposit to measure back. Unprofessional service!

Some staff are very helpful. Prices are reasonable. I would have to say better quality than Lowe’s. Try finding whatever u need online and they will have it ready for you. Even take it to your car as if u were at a fast food restaurant; if so you choose. They also have trailers for rent. Returns are probably the easiest here. Lost your receipt? No problem. Just make sure to register your phone, I have never gotten texts or robocalls from doing this, nor ever received email garbage, I felt comfortable enough to provide an email account that I check more often, and haven’t received a single email I was not expecting. And amazingly, even if u do self checkout, computer will remember u paid using a certain card and ask u if u want a paper receipt, or email, and it won’t ask u for any information, because u have used that certain card to pay there before and it will know who u are automatically.Power tools, if u have batteries and a charger for Milwaukee, DeWalt, Nikita, or Ryobi (home depot’s brand) prices are decent. I own a lot of DeWalt, some Milwaukee, and have tried a few Ryobi and I have to admit, they are very decent tools. Long lasting, and not as expensive as the big three (or of course snap on or Mac tools) Generic batteries from Amazon are more affordable and work just the same.Another cool secret feature, if u are doing a job for someone else, and want them to pay, just get whatever u need and go to customer service and tell them u want to make a telephone purchase, and they will call whoever is paying the bill and get it done. No more paying out of your pocket or asking to be zelled. Cleaning supplies I would go somewhere else, overall I highly recommend Home Depot.

I love this store and would give them a 5 but I have bought plants there infested with bugs and the way they do the isles during Christmas makes it very difficult to shop, especially when their workers are taking up isles standing around with carts blocking things while they talk to each other. I literally had to interrupt them and ask if I could get through because there were tons of people and a big ladder in the way while they are blocking a second route.

Requested delivery of a will call order. Per agreement with carrier, they are to call ahead of time before delivery, this was not completed and order was left in spot blocking access to garage. Customer service manager stated they could not fix the issue resulting in cars not being able to get out of garage until product was moved to the project area.

Layout of this store is terrible. So much stuff crammed in the main aisles you cant walk through them. The sale section up front had a ton of stuff jammed where you couldnt walk through and the few things I was interested in had no price tags anywhere, had to find them on the website. Getting paint has been pretty quick the 3 times Ive got it here though. They also clearly dont enforce the mask policy thats posted at the entrance as theres more people walking around without masks than with.

As a pregnant mother with a young infant as well I was appalled by this store’s commitment to providing a safe shopping experience for my family. I understand the mask mandate is not popular opinion in this area but with THREE signs before entering stating masks MUST be worn (and a sign at exit) it is an absolute JOKE the amount of people not only walking around without masks on but interacting with employees who say NOTHING. There is zero enforcement & zero follow through. The store greeter even went so far as to welcome with a smile & shake hands with someone walking in who not only wasn’t wearing a mask but just didn’t have one at all. I don’t understand. Follow through with rules you as a business have put into place for yourself or make it known you don’t intend to so those of us who are immunocompromised can make the decision to take our business elsewhere.

Once I arrived at HD with my son (4 years old), I immediately rented a Peat Moss Spreader. As I was leaving the clerk offered to watch my spreader while I purchased additional items. I took him up on his offer and departed with my son to continue shopping. After I finished shopping, I returned to the rental department. As I was walking in the older gentleman stated “we have a small issue with the peat moss spreader”. I replied “that’s okay, what’s going on?” At this time there was now a younger sales associate with black hair and a black beard and another customer he was helping in the rental checkout area as well. The younger associate informed me that the new customer standing there had in fact reserved the item online earlier in the day but the system did not register it so it should not have let me rent it. I stated there was no problem and I would work the situation out with the customer to ensure we both get taken care of. As I was offering suggestions I noticed the other customer checking out on the POS system. After he signed his name and removed his credit card, he hastily walked to the spreader, grabbed it and then walked out without saying a word. My son began saying the man stole our spreader and asking why he took it. His eyes started watering up and said he was sad because he was looking forward to helping me use the spreader with me. In additional he was scared because a bad man stole our spreader. I tried to explain that everything was alright and that bad things happen. At this time I was in shock of what just transpired. I originally thought the guy did in fact steal the spreader but once I came to my senses, I realized the younger sales associate in fact voided out my contract and rented to the other customer. It dawned on me that this was a coordinated effort against me. Everyone had already decided that the other customer was getting the item and I had merely caught them in the act. There was a contract on the registered labeled void which I originally thought was the other customers but it was in fact my contract that was voided. I then voiced my grievance with the younger employee but he kept stating that he reserved it first so it belonged to him. Both associates began calling around different stores to find a new spreader. I knew there were none available but allowed them to keep looking while I waited. After about 7-10 minutes I told them to stop and that I wanted to speak to a manager. The younger associate got on the phone and called what I assumed was the manager. After he hung up I wanted for a little while with no updates so I asked him how much longer the manager was going to be. He stated he was tied up in some HDM event. I had no idea what it was so I stated I didn’t know what that meant but how long is it going to be. He then said the manager is not coming. I then asked to confirm what I heard “so the manager knows he has an upset customer and refuses to come out?” He said “yes, he’s not coming out, he’s doing something else and he said he would give me a discount on my next rental.” After a brief pause I agreed only because my son was getting restless and upset by the whole situation. The associate then took down my phone number. After he was done I said, sir, I just want you to know the way that this situation was handle was very unprofessional. He then became agitated and raised his voice at me stating “he made an executive decision and that is what he decided to do”. I then raised my voice and said “it was wrong and that I had in fact rented it first and he made the wrong call”. He stated “it was right”. I said “the only reason he was able to take it from me is because I left it right there”. During my next few sentences he began cutting me off and raising his voice at me in which I did in response to him. He then told me to “calm down” and I said “no and that he elevated the conversation to this level”. He then screamed “that’s it!” and speed walked to the back of the store out. They were all white and and I am black for everyone wanting to know.

I went trying to get them to look up and code for something I bought and they claimed they couldnt and I would have to go to the store I bought it from, which is false because they all use the same system.

I picked up a beautiful Christmas tree after work tonight and was lucky enough to to be helped by Joe. He was trimming and wrapping the trees and said another guy would come and tie it to my car. Went to buy a saw and it was out of stock. Hardware department said it would be delivered 1/21 so I purchased it at customer service for a 1/3 pickup. Went to pickup my order and customer service very rudely told me it wasn’t delivered yet and it MIGHT be delivered 2/8, maybe. Called Home Depot customer service and again was treated rudely. I explained I could just have easily gone to Lowe’s but I chose HD. She said “wellC that’s fine, if you want to go to Lowe’s you can get a refund”. Lately, at all Home Depot’s, we have noticed lack of knowledge on tools or items. today I looked up starter logs on their website to find in the store, I asked a worker what FW aisle meant. as he was telling me, another worker told me they’re sold out. I showed him the website that said in stock and he was adamant they were sold out. I checked just in case... bought 3 boxes of “sold out” fire starters. 🙄

One of the best Home Depot stores around! Everyone is helpful and courteous. While Georgetown is growing, we are having some excellent and experienced people helping serve the workers and DIY enthusiasts get what they need quickly and easily. The app works great and their shelves are usually stocked. Keep in mind how many small business owners are buying from this store if you cant find what you need. Screws and wood tend to fluctuate in availability depending on seasons and who got there before you. Fences going up and indoor/ outdoor additions are common here with the large lot sizes and property values going up.
