I wanted a quick breakfast sandwich. After a long wait was told my ticket was almost thrown out. Lots of people served ahead of me with full meals. So first visit not a success. Lots of items on a big board but no prices-not good.

This cafe had the best menu I have seen at a cafe in a long time. My wife and I stopped here concluding our trip to Geneva. I ordered the PB & Jelly smoothie and BLT with avocado. My wife ordered a sandwich, as well, and we both loved it. The atmosphere was great, the music selection was hip, and we said we will return the next time we find ourselves in Geneva

I really wanted to like Bagels and Cakes. The ambient was on its way there. I really loved the hanging globes in the hallway by the bathroom. The table also had squishy, comfortable chairs and fun trivia cards. However, the fruit in the fruit cup was not fresh, and our exchange for something fresher was equally as disappointing. Our table was also disgustingly sticky. I ordered the avocado toast, which was OK, but I would not say it was as impressive as my bill. I was also really turned off by the sign on the door asking people to be patient with the staff that had shown up because people dont want to work. Well, thats super unmotivating for anyone that does come come in to work and repelling to those that visit.

Made an online order. They put the order all I. A plastic bag except the soup. They didnt put the lid o. Correctly an spilled all over the paper bag. By the time I got the bag to the car the soup had leaked all over my car. Ordered a bagel with extra butter. I had put in the instructions to put extra butter on the bagel. The bagel had no butter on it. I called to let them know of this. I was told that because I didnt click the butter button they didnt put any butter on it even though they saw the instructions on the order. They didnt offer a refund or reagent of food. Terrible customer service. How much is a bagel and soup and you cant offer a refund or replacement? Long time customer but wont be returning there again. I hope the money they got was worth the loss of a customer.

Great food, and great service! We hosted guests for a family wedding and this place came highly recommended by our AirBnB hosts. We had two big catering orders and Lyn was very accommodating, flexible and easy to work with. She made sure our orders fit our needs and allowed us to make changes. Everyone raved about the food, especially the bagels and pastries! The food was very fresh. Many people from our group also dined in for breakfast one morning. The portions were very generous and the food was very flavorful. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. Can’t wait to return!

Quite a selection of bagels, toppings and sandwiches. The place is always busy. They seem to employee only young attractive women... Perhaps local college coeds? Anyway, it certainly doesnt hurt business.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Geneva. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order. Food is served quickly and is always fresh. Outdoor dining is a plus. I would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Geneva

Great menu, but mediocre food and ridiculous prices. This place is aesthetically pleasing for college students with daddy’s money. It’s not made for people who actually care about the food they’re paying for.

Limited bagel/breakfast food options make this place seem pretty good. I wish management would be better about staff hiring, they have issues with staff not showing up or lacking general friendliness. They should also allow tipping on card payments, such a simple thing to add in for staff. I wish this place well and hope they step it up, up to the owner/manager for change.

Great strawberry and whipped cream white cake

I have been here about a year ago and they messed up our order. We decided to give them another chance. I just ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 coffees online and picked it up. The sandwiches were barely warm and the croissant and bagel for the sandwiches were not toasted as requested in the order. Also, my coffee was not made correctly. We won’t be giving them a third chance. Best to go elsewhere if you want a hot and good breakfast.

Heading back to OH needed to pick up a dozen bagels from NY for my coworker because NY make them better fresh and great selection as well

This place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL!! Ive tried this places about a few months apart. The first time i had a burger, beautiful presentation. Today i had a steak salad, also beautifully presented. The only issue ive had both times is that neither the burger or the steak had a lick of seasoning on it 🥲 everything was so bland but looked delicious, so it was a big let down. Please work on your flavors!! I will lend yall some salt and seasoning if you need it 💖

This is a great bakery with reliable customer service. I live in Toronto while my girlfriend lives in Geneva, and have been separated by the US-Canada border closure. For her birthday, I sent her custom made gluten free, peanut butter chocolate cake from Bagels and Cake. It arrived on the agreed date. While I did not see the cake myself, my girlfriend showed it to me on video call and the cake looked SOOO delicious and big that she was able to shared with her entire family of about 11 people. So thank you Bagels and Cakes for coming through for me and for making my girlfriends birthday celebration extra special :)

Disappointing if gluten free, only a bagel option, order taker was unhelpful, staff playing on their phone when the place was busy, not worth going back.

I found the waitresses and the staff to be completely enjoyable they were accommodating and nice through the whole process of the issue with my dragon fruit they quickly refunded my money and got us on our way with what we needed to eat and drink they were wonderful people I would recommend them to anyone

Their carrot cakes were DELICIOUS! I got the regular ones (they also have gluten friendly carrot cakes) They were moist and had perfect texture.Canolis were great too. Perfect small size with deliciois filling.

It’s nice to have someone in town who knows what a bagel is. Both service and portion sizes are a little weak, though. I have never gotten a bagel and coffee in less than 15 minutes (sometimes more!), which makes this impractical as a weekday breakfast stop. Good place for an affordable brunch though; plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Love the food...& also there is lovely outdoor seating for this season with what looks to be an amazing wysteria vine entwined on a wooden gazebo. Not McDonalds prices but much better food....

Found Bagels and Cakes on Yelp. Yelp didn’t provide too much information. But I did google it. The menu had many things to choose from. I love Lox bagels. As pictured below, I had a Lox with Chive & Garlic cream cheese, tomatoes, red onions, and capers on an Everything Bagel. Let me say, whoever made this bagel made it with love. It was very tasty and delicious. This is by far my favorite bagel.The interior is set up 6 feet apart and social distancing. It’s very quaint and quiet place to have coffee and breakfast. The exterior had small tables and chairs as well.I will be visiting again soon to try out their foods on the menu.

The food quality has ranged from good to average, but my general experiences with customer service have ranged from distracted nonchalance to just average. Were this not basically the only game in town, Id go somewhere else.Plus Im not sure what the I stole a drink from Bagels and Cakes picture is about (roughly paraphrased, no picture attached to review). But out of context, it looks outright dystopian.

My daughter used it and enjoyed her visit and goes often.This place is super expensive , ordered a sandwich on a croissant , hash browns and a dragonfruit smoothie. The croissant literally had one egg and a tiny sausage it was so thin for being 10$$ not filling at all . the smoothie was another $10 and didn’t taste that great. Hash browns were good . The cashier had to gel the cook to stop chatting in the lobby that he had orders, so food took a bit too. disappointed for cost

Place was packed and under staffed. Although I pre ordered some bakery items online, they were not ready when I arrived and it took almost 20 minutes for someone to make eye contact with me. Even then I had to inquire as no one said may I help you?Cupcakes were good, snickerdoodle cookie was dry.

There was a pretty large amount of people there, but the servers kept the line going down pretty quick, so ordering was fast. We sat down and 2 minutes later, our big order was already done. The food was very good and I am obsessed with the veggie cream cheese. We had a wonderful experience. Will definitely stop again if we are ever in the area.

I received a recommendation to eat here while in Geneva. And I can say the recommendation held up. I went there for lunch and had their Chili and a turkey Sandwich. The service was good and the food was excellent. I also took a piece of strawberry cake home it was excellent

Breakfast quesadilla. Not my best experience at this place. They were busy and had plenty of staff. I received my food rather quickly . But waiting for a smoothie. I saw what I thought was my order in blender. Workers at the coffee station I think forgot about it and were texting and eating breakfast sandwiches at the coffee bar.. while my smoothie was still in blender. I finally had to ask if it was my smoothie as they totally forgotten about it they did Apologize and the smoothie was good however I dont think workers should be eating or texting at a food preparea hopefully this is a one-off visit because I do like this place

Good food great atmosphere

Im giving Bagels and Cakes 3 stars instead of 5 because of a couple reasons (if I was solely grading the taste of their food, it would be a 5). The option to order online is great, but the last few times me and my coworker have done so, they havent gotten our orders correct. We noticed that if we requested something extra on the online order form, like extra mayo or a side salad in front of fries, they get that wrong. Weve also noticed that if you call and place and order over the phone, theres not a separate line to receive that food and you could be waiting a long time in the main line, even if you only got a bowl of soup. Bagels and Cakes has expensive, but delicious food. However, their systems will deter people from ordering there.

Quaint eatery...order at the counter and they call your name. Self service the whole way including busing your table. Prices relatively match the decreased overhead as a result. They clearly focus on the food and deliver accordingly. It was a busy Saturday morning with a line but the food came out very quickly and was hot and delicious.

We had roast beef sandwiches with au jus and we bought some cupcakes to take home. The atmosphere is clean and nicely decorated. I will definitely be going back.
