Friendly staff! Being owned by Guitar Center, Means they can order anything you want and will get it in quickly for you. My daughter and son both have taken piano lessons there are were very pleased.

I started contemplating a few months ago about picking up the guitar again and trying to learn. I had taken lessons many years ago and then due to work and just busy life things gave it up. Sold my guitar and amp and that was that. Since I didnt have any thing to learn on I had to make an investment or just let the thought pass. Fortunately after much thought and research ( believe me a lot of research) I decided I was going to do it. Hench this is where Music and Arts came into play. I cannot give Bradley at Music and Arts enough Thank Yous and ata boys for all his help. He helped me pick out the perfect Fender Solid body electric guitar and everything I needed to start. He was extremely helpful and also helped me with advice I needed to get started. Now Im spending about 30 minutes a day practicing and as of now Im really enjoying it. I dont think without Bradleys help I would be having this much fun. He is really a true music professional and knows his stuff. Thanks Bradley for all your help and Thanks Music and Arts for helping me make a dream come true. All I have to do now is stay at it and Im sure Ill be able to work up to being able to play it. That of course is on me.

The best part about this store is the helpful and friendly staff. Most music shops near Charlotte are filled with grumpy cynical washed up musicians that complain about being an employee. These guys are always professional and try to help you find what you are looking for. My only critique is that the place could have more of a selection. Overall, I highly recommend this store if you are a beginner musician. They have great deals on budget instruments.

Would not recommend!Overpriced in charging $30 to replace French Horn valve strings when we provided part.Manager threw me out of store for not wearing a mask even though I have medical exemption by doctor. This is unlawful based upon ADA guidelines!

I had a trumpet repaired here. It had dents and was dirty, they fixed the dents and did a chemical clean on it and it looks brand new!! It was simple, fast and easy. Because of the great customer service and the price I also came back and bought my son’s Christmas gift here. Now he is rocking on a new electric guitar (with amp, cord and carry case) for around $330 for all of that!!!! Great people, great selection and awesome price!!

Came in about a year ago for an instrument, didnt know anything about them and the person behind the counter upsold me without telling me

The guy behind the counter who restrung my guitar (I think his name was Elliott?) was super helpful. Explained the process and even sold me a better string to attach my strap + attached it. I’ll definitely be back!

Under new ownership. Staff is super friendly, but selection of guitars is even more limited than before as well as many other instruments. With so many other options less than an hour away and online there isnt much for me at their shop. I will still continue to shop here because I believe in supporting local business and their staff has earned it. Just wish they had more to offer.

Very nice business a real music store. Desk person was very nice professional. He said the business was bought out by Music and Arts. So the name of business is now Music and Arts. They havent changed the name on store yet. I live near the Shelby area. My son is a drummer. So glad to know we now dont have to drive to Charlotte to shop at a music store.

I have purchased 2 guitars here. Both times have been an excellent experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and they are always willing to answer any questions you may have. Even as a beginning guitarist, they didnt make me feel stupid and they even taught me things to look for in chosing the right guitar for my needs. This is a smaller store so if they are busy you will need to be patient, but every time I have been in there they have always done their best to assist everyone. They have a great selection of equipment and accessories. They also have very reasonable prices which is why I keep coming back. Much better experience than any of the big box stores with better prices to boot. I highly recommend this store for all you music needs.

Manager was rude and everything is overpriced

Pretty average small town music shop. Extremely limited selection of gear. They can special order stuff, but its easier to order online from one of the more reputable companies in case you need to return it. Staff was somewhat friendly.

I walked into the store not knowing what I was needing being that this was my first time my child was in band. I explained what my child was going to play and they hooked him up and the payment plan is easy and affordable for me to handle they have a lot of instruments to choose from I would recommend that if u need any kind of bells guitar or any kind of reboot or just starting out come here and they got u

They’re ok if you want to rent/buy an instrument but if you want your instrument repaired you’d best go elsewhere because their staff isn’t good at all with communicating what you want repaired on your instrument and instead will try and fix other problems the instrument never had in the first as well as have the audacity to charge you for not having fixed the main issue but instead having fixed some other obscure “issue”. Additionally, if you’re experienced enough on your instrument to know when it has an issue and what that issue is then expect that when they return your instrument and it’s not fixed, that they’ll insist that it is fixed because they had some “teacher/professional” play your instrument even though you know with enough certainty that it is in fact not fixed. Finally, I don’t believe this brand should at all be recognized as a repair shop and instead other brands like even the Music Center and online instrument repair places should be the go-to for all instrument repair needs.

Customer service is great they will help you find any item that they have that you were needing if they dont have it they can get it might take a couple days

The staff actually knows about the merchandise they sell. This is not one of those places that hired a bunch of kids who like music. These folks actually know it, they speak the language, and they understand the tools it takes to make music.
