I love this store sooooo much. The vibes, energy,staff, products and prices! They’re very affordable and they always have whatever I’m looking for! Come here and you WONT be disappointed.

Coming here when in town visiting from DC, I think by far this is the best hair store, way better then those in Charlotte!! Only thing is they are way too expensive when it comes to hair products, their wig, extension selections need to be updated- way out of date as far as brands on their lakefront. But other then that...I go here every time I come to town. They got Charlotte BEAT!

Decent selection, organized for the most part but very cluttered. Theyre often out of what I need or if I need multiples theres only 1 left 🤦🏽‍♀️ but the staff is pretty knowledgeable and willing to help.

Everything in there is looks nice. Very well organized. I went in there to find something to get my hair done. But I didnt find what I wanted because everything was way too pricey. Even there discount items are too expensive. All I ended up getting was some soap.Before the remodel the prices werent that bad. But now things have changed dramatically.I wont say I will never shop in there. But I will have to take my business for my hair products across the road to there competitors.

Dont shopping here the lady was rude. I cant try on synethic wig before buying but I can only try on human hair.

Yesterday I visited Jamco Beauty Supply. It was a fantastic experience. They had a large supply of hair in various colors. I came there looking for purple braiding hair for my daughter and I was not disappointed. A wonderful and delightful fellow shopper helped me locate the color hair I was looking for as he saw it before I did. The place was spacious enough that I didnt have to wait in a line outdoors in the heat of the day. Everyone was able to keep the recommended distances from one another without a problem. They also sell some masks if it is needed. I cant wait to go back to see if they have the hair coloring that I like to get. The prices are reasonable and they have staff that doesnt hesitate to help.

I’ve shopped at Jamco my whole life and they always come through. But recently I went after they were already closed and he still let me come in and purchase! Always nice and helpful.

At the coming from a metropolitan area where I beauty supply stores AR and great multitude its great to find this one and what I deem is a desert area as far as African American hair care products are concerned. I come all the way from Maiden just a shop here when I cant wait for my online items to come.

This establishment was awesome! I went in looking for a wig which I don’t really have experience in. After speaking with the cashier that I needed help it began to be fun.. Someone came from the back to help me named Lucy. She was absolutely awesome! She got a feel for what I was looking for and even managed to get me out of my comfort zone which I needed.. My husband and I both are so excited about my new look. Can’t wait to begin posting pics with my new do. Will definitely go back soon to see what else I can purchase!

This is a great establishment. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because they are now hiring more staff and they are not all quite as great as what I have experienced at other times. This location is not particularly close to where I live, but I come here because I can usually find what I want and everyone is always nice...especially the cashiers. The parking sucks on a busy day, but that is not really something they can control. So, overall, I think this is a great store that carries a lot of the products that we need at prices that are not ridiculously gouged.

The ladies that worked in the store today July 27th were the best! They were respectful and helped in every way! Big shout out to the lady in the back with the wigs she knew her stuff and offered advise on what would look good! I will definitely return!

I love this store and the people who run it. They are extremely friendly (which is something you dont always get at the Asian stores). Its local and I believe the people who own it are Black (Please correct me if Im wrong). They have a great selection of products. I went here for an old school hot comb and they had it! I thought I was going to have to go to several stores to find one. So I was very impressed. And they are very reasonably priced.

The people working were helpful and nice. Guy working had a lovely accent. Lots of products but were a bit more than other hair stores in the area. But no more than 1 or 2 dollars. Only downside is the location is tiny and there was stuff all over the place. It’s so congested in this store. Could use a nice cleaning and tidying up and organizing! Other than that, great shop.

It was very clean and organized. One of the ladies that worked there had her son there as well while she worked and I really had to ask her if she worked there or was she a customer. The young lady at the register was very pleasant and wished all of the lady customers a Happy Mothers Day. I thought that it was a very thoughtful gesture. Will definitely visit there again in the near future.

Very poor selection. And of course the owners follow you around watching you like a hawk. I didnt even bother staying for that reason and they didnt have a good hair selection.

Jamco need to examine their merchandise every 3-6 months. I purchased a nose ring on Saturday, when I got inside my car I noticed the silver nose ring to appear tainted, I thought maybe I was given the wrong color. As I thoroughly examined the nose ring, the nose ring was in fact rusty. So I called in to speak to a store manager. He tried to play me like I switched out the nose rings. I told him, what if I put that rusty nose ring in my nose and encountered an infection, then Jamco would have some future legal issues. Moral of the story: Examine your merchandise more often, also you shouldnt treat all your customers like crooks. Customers come first even if you think theyre wrong. If you want a thriving establishment make sure you have some customer service skills. Everyone is not trying to scam you for a $2.99 nose ring.

I love this place. The prices are great and they are even open on Sundays. I just moved to Gastonia in November and this has been the only hair store Ive been to.

For my daughters bday my brother offered to pay to have hair extensions put in for her. The day of, we needed to purchase the hair and I was unable to go, so my brother and his wife went to Jamco to buy it. The owners are like middle eastern/Indian maybe? Not that it matters, but communication can be difficult sometimes.So they pick out the hair they wanted, which they were only allowed to look at from a distance, (like the 5 of them were going to run off with the hair without paying), and the hair was price marked $49.99. But the guy helping them said it was $75 and pulled the sticker off the next package they were interested in!This place is so shady and do business differently with ppl based on their skin color. I will never step foot in Jamco again!

This morning around 11:30 a.m., I called Jamco Beauty Supply Store to place a very large order of hair and asked the man (he did not want to give a name) to price me 30 wigs. He did not want to, and asked me to leave my name and number which I have did numerous times and never received a call back. On top of that they did not answer the phone when I called back and he hung up on me countless amount of times, I do not appreciate being treated like that or hung up on.

Jamco always has everything I need and the staff is always very friendly and helpful.

*****Update **** always have a good experience when i come into the store, they always have what i need and theyre always so helpful & friendly.I visited the store on March 14th 2019 and made a purchase. My card was charged twice for the amount of 60.00 . The cashier said that I pulled my card out of the chip reader too soon and that it did not charge my card when in actuality it did. The owner Allen tried to tell me that it was a pending transaction and that it would fall off in 24 to 48 hours, I gave them 72 hours before I called up to the store and let them know that it was an actual charge and that it was taken from my account. It took the owner three days to get back to me when he kept telling me that he would call me back and did not return the phone call. I even had to visit the store and never got a resolution. Today on March 22nd he finally called me and told me that I would have to talk to my bank about them charging me twice and they wouldnt issue me a refund , nothing! unfortunately Ive lost trust in this business and I will not return.
