I love the Goodwill outlets!! Ive been to the Salt Lake City Utah bins and the Fort Worth Texas bins and this one was the cheapest! It was big and clean, but there were tons of shoppers. Like tons! But everyone was nice. If you like this kind of thing and know what to expect from the bins, this is a great place!

This is a great time waster! I love it here and I actually find some really cool stuff here. Staff can be a little on the rough side but I can’t blame them when people don’t follow rules and there are rules!!! No touching new bins until you get the ok. also it’s by the pound so don’t ask how much is it 😀

This good will has plenty of good stuff. But Im still getting use to the routine. There is a scheduled rotation if the tables. There are vultures that go here and really wait for those rotations. Staff can get a bit standoffish, but understandable because of safety when whole tables are being moved. Scavenging is the key here. Im just not about to play that game. If I see what works for me on top, I get it and keep moving.

Theres a short black woman that works here that yells all day & makes everybody’s life miserable. They should really fire her shes the worst. She kicked out a customer just because they made a comment about her yelling. This place sucks. Come here if you want to get disrespected. I feel sorry for the employees that work under her, all she does is yell & disrespect people. Sad that somebody is so miserable! 😩 You work at a goodwill outlet lady!? Its not that serious! 😂 🤡

For this location to be a newer location its embarrassing to have people dig in bins to find the clothing they need. Make it better just like any other location around and get clothing racks to hang these clothes up! I love goodwill but will not shop in this location until they fix just like the other locations.

As a full time reseller, I was impressed. I drove over 2 hours to visit this location not expecting much because its located in Gary.

I love this place. Its a treasure hunt of stuff that you might not need.

Dear Management of Goodwill Outlet Gary, IN,I write in displeasure to bring it to your notice about the attitude and impolite manner in which one of your managers on the goodwill floor harass customers who buy more than 3 to 4carts worth of goods. It is very unfortunate that this acts has not been seen in this store until recently when this lady starts managing the floor. She did this to me on Sunday and I felt dehumanized. Yesterday, I was at the store to get some goods again, she did the same to an African guy who told me he drove all the way from Indianapolis (2hours plus drive) to get some goods, and had 2carts-filled and sorted worth of goods. The lady went there and poured all the goods back into the large goodwill tray. I felt bad and had to leave that store because that was disrespectful to him.I will urge the management to put her in order to prevent subsequent unacceptable manner in the society.NB: description of the lady, she is black, no tall, and packed her natural hair to the back.Thank you.

This place is unorganized and gross. Shoes without soles and dirty items in huge bins.. The cashier was rude and told me another customer was first when clearly there was no one in front of me when I got in line.. I was buying 1 item and she had a cart full, it was ridiculous. Glad I didnt spend my money here, wish I didnt waste my time. Dont go out of your way, I would never come here again.

It was a fun experience to see so many people get along both employee and patron.

You make purchases by the pound. Financially effective. But highly disorganized. Stuff is in troughs based on similar items. Difficult to navigate the store if disabled.

Nobody was at the drive through donations. Waited 10 minutes to no avail. Tried to call. The listed number has been disconnected. Went inside and they tried to send me back to drive through thinking the women hanging out there were employees, which they werent. Finally someone from inside the store came with me to assist.

This store and Dyer has been pricing items at outrageous prices. Cheaper at Illinois Goodwills$19 for a pair of used shoes that you got FREE? Are you crazy?What happened to flat rates for shoes? Killing your sales for sure.

The employees are super cool but the customers are awful. Ive been here twice now and I wanted to punch everyone in the face. They are super rude and throw everything on the floor. Its not a good shopping experience.

I enjoy looking for a diamond in the rough. And being a Senior Citizen the moving around is good for my health. Its good to have somewhere to go and enjoy myself and I dont have to spend a lot of money.

Quite crowded but the staff and others there were actually very nice. Even though it takes a while digging through the bins I found tons of cute clothes 🥶😛 since this is an outlet it is chaotic but thats what you would expect, definitely bring gloves, and the prices are amazing (1.39$ per pound of clothes )

Everyone wears masks and keep their distance due to COVID-19 which is great. Customer Service is exceptional and Prices are great.

The staff here is helpful and courteous. Also I always walk away from this GOODWILL Bin store with something good to resell or keep. A book or magazines to resell a 1950s revolving christmas tree stand to resell or a vtg pair of Advent Speakers to for myself.

Great to browse to see if you find anything. Search and you might find a surprise.

They have tables of random stuff you search through. Then after a while they rotate the tables and bring out new stuff.

Very expensive for used stuff I was going to buy 4 throw pillow for a couch it came up to over 10.00$ thats 2.50 a piece for used throw pillows Wal-Mart will sell the same thing for only a couple dollars more new!

I love this location a lot its clean, lots of space, and pricing is not bad either. However, I feel singled out when I go in this store. When I enter the store Im confronted by staff with unwanted questions not pertaining to my shopping experience and when I inquire about items they suddenly disappear off the floor. I dont know if this is because of some type of hate against me or someone within the company that works there wants to purchase the item for themselves, but I cant purchase.Then I have a goodwill card it was not accepted and that I could not apply for one at the store cause they dont have them anymore. I have used my card in different locations, this location wont accept my card. However, I love the location and I will purchase and donate here in the future.

Very disorganized and junky. Nothing labled or marked. Cloths stacked up to the ceiling, throwed on the tables, as well as all the other items. No prices for items, they weigh the entire cart. Not clean at all compared to other Goodwill stores. Will be my last visit there!!!

Good selection of clothes at a reasonable price. Not too crazy about the shoes many of them were very worn. Very large selection of books and the prices are reasonable. Kitchenware Electronics and Furniture are also here and are fairly priced but I seen better prices at other thrift stores. All in all the pretty good experience and the store is well laid out and clean. I will be back again.

As of June 9th, 2020, the Goodwill is open for business.. this shouldnt be. This Goodwill is surprisingly unsanitary, with all items being in large containers *loosely organized* by category.. these containers can and have had broken glass, foodstuffs, and other various unsavory items in them. This is extremely unsanitary and improper, and Im hoping that this disgusting system will be changed in the near future. The reason it gets a 2 star review is because everything is spaced out and organized, as well as the building, only being around a single year old, being very clean.. Despite this, everything else is extremely negative.

Call and make an schedule an appointment at least 1 week in advance!I had items to donate that needed to be picked up from this location. The person I spoke to was very professional & friendly. I received a reminder call the day before pick up was scheduled. The staff that picked up the items were very helpful & polite. Thank you!

Could be a little more organized and cleaner in some areas. Fun to shop at for simple items. Please be careful buying used items here or at any thrift because I suspect bed bugs came home with me from some throw pillows I purchased.

I thrift here regularly because Im a flipper and I always find awesome things. I go between the bins in Rockford and this one. The one in Rockford weighs the clothes and this one has the half off weekends. Yes, its dirty and can be overwhelming but to the serious thrifter, that is the fun of it because of the treasure hunting. When you find that treasure it makes all of it worth it!!! I love these bins!

It is an outlet, and I am a seasoned resale shopper - but it was too much for me to handle. They are constantly rolling around large carts, and you have to keep moving around from what you are looking at. Im sure there are some great deals and I assume its cheap - they sell by the pound. Id rather do garage sales than this, but I am glad there is a place with a source of cheap clothes for everyone. Their prices are often way too high at the other stores.

People don’t understand that this is a goodwill outlet and not a goodwill thrift. This is where items go when they’re sent away from the thrift store. You will have to sort through bins to find deals, but they charge by the pound. Bring gloves with you, the clothes can be rough or dirty on your hands.

Goodwill!! I have purchased so many of my outfits from this Goodwill Outlet and have not yet been disappointed! It may seem cluttered to some but...if you dont mind sorting through clothes that are in a bin then this is the place. I have purchased Nine West, Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, Ann Taylor and so many more. Try it for yourself and dont let the bins intimidate you.

Great people and a good environment

They do have a lot just wish it was better organized for people to look through!!!! They are always busy and everyone is polite! I had no problem donating things it was easy,just confusing about the paper work they handed to me so I never used it for a write off.

The clothes here are great prices! Its not organized but if youre a thrift store shopper, this is a part of the thrill. :)

I always find something there when I go. I found a pair of tall womens leather coach boots for $ 1.00. It was half off day that day as well as a few other items I found. Only thing every thing is on box like tables and you have to pick through everything. But thats ok with me.

This place is wild, where a lot different from the usual thrift. How about name brand shirt, jacket and kitchen baking items for $1.20?No display, just huge rolling tables.

I found some really good deals here on furniture. The moving help was rude though, but the manager was very nice and the cashiers are nice. True about the unorganization, and I really am not going to go digging through tables of stuff, I dont have patience for that. But to go get furniture yes. I am going to go back and check out more furniture as I need stuff for my living room. They are good and even on a not half off day you can get some great finds.
