Kinda wish the employees were still wearing masks but eh - still really good!Edit- I picked up my negatives today, and they were cut even though I had asked them not to, and nearly 1/3rd of my images hadnt actually made it onto the usb like they were supposed to. I called and a person named Ernest said I could bring the negatives in and have them re-scan it, but they didnt apologize for the mistake and didnt offer to fix it, I had to ask. Kinda frustrating that I now have to make another drive just to get my pictures properly done, and they havent offered any coupon or anything to help remedy the situation - Hopefully on my 3rd visit things are better. 🥺

Growing up we would visit this store for repairs or to develop film & living in Colorado now there is such few shops who are willing to do repairs on old cameras. After a long search I knew I could trust in them to tackle any situation. Thank you so much Hanson it is greatly appreciated!

This place is amazing. Every member of staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely doesnt seem to mind taking all the time you need to ask your questions, test out equipment, and make quality, informed decisions with their help. As a novice photographer, I dont feel as if Im treated any less than a seasoned pro would walking in here. I dont feel any of the pretentious, god-complex, narcissism in here that I have in so many other similar businesses, and that alone would retain my patronage, but the staff, selection, pricing... Well, its a winner. If youre curious if they can/carry/will/might/maybe whatever, the answer is likely yes, so you should stop in. Hell, just go anyway. You know you want to.

What a great place. Nathan resurrected my interest in photography with his in-depth knowledge of film, cameras and the current use of film cameras which I thought was dead. I cant wait to shoot the B&W film I bought and get them developed there. I think this is the beginning of a great relationship! You guys rock!

Went here to get information on how to operate an old camera/ video recorder. They knew everything about the model I had. I learned that it had so many features I was very impressed and thankful. I was hoping I could sell it to them but they already had a good collection of vintage cameras so they politely declined. It was busy yet I never felt rushed they were super-helpful. I will definitely go back to shop here soon.

Camera store looks like it was a good place for camera gear, but we stood waiting for help for approx. 20 minutes and no one acknowledged us. Went to the bathroom in this time and still got no help. Seems all the sales people were busy with other customers and talking but no acknowledged that we were even there. As we were leaving then it seems someone comes to say something but it was too late then we have waited long even.

This camera got my Nikon FG working and I now now where to get film for it. Even got a motor drive for quicker shots.

This is my new favorite camera store! I went in today to purchase a new camera body and had such a wonderful experience. If you’re a female photographer, COME TO THIS STORE! The employees will treat you with kindness and like the professional you are, unlike some other camera stores.I was between 2 bodies, and the employee who helped me (shout out to Steve) was so patient and truly excited to answer all of my questions and explain the differences/benefits of the camera I ultimately ended up with. Fantastic location for anyone interested in photography, vintage and modern, I strongly recommend going.This is hands down my favorite spot to develop film. It is from my experience, the most affordable and fastest place for film photography development in this area. Before you go to CVS or Walgreens or Walmart, check this place out.I learned about this spot through a friend of mine, Thomas, who did a photoshoot for me in film and it came out great, which naturally had me asking questions, which led here.I personally go to develop 35mm film, as well as buying film here since they do carry a wide selection of films from Portra to Cinestill and FujiFilm stocks. Ive been several times now, and every time they take the roll, develop the film, give back the negatives, then print or scan it normally within 24-48 hours of bringing in the roll.Also, the store carries a fantastic selection of camera products, both new and slightly used. I purchased a pre-owned camera bag for $20 a few weeks back and its been solid. They also do camera repair for new and retro cameras.Overall: 🔥 Great camera store, I definitely recommend a drop in to all the photo and video folks out there.Added a couple of photos theyve developed for me also, enjoy!

I drove an hour in an attempt to spend my money a local, brick and mortar business only to stand there and have no one help me.Maybe I caught them on bad day — which is why I’m not giving them one star.There were 3 or 4 other customers in the store also, so maybe they were just overwhelmed.Either way, I’m going to buy my film on Amazon, I guess.Ugh.I was really trying NOT to do that, but it is what it is.I also expected them to have a greater selection of film products, but from what I saw, they didn’t.I just bought 8 different film cameras and was looking for a local store to buy my film and develop it.Instead, I will use IndieFilmLab dot com. They have better processes. Prices are high for some things, but the knowledge they have and the advice they give if you are honest with them, is priceless.

If there is a issue with processing a roll of photos and you have them uploaded to a USB they will NOT REFUND YOU for processing or uploading, so buyers beware. 74.58 down the drain for me!🤦‍♂️ I was told by another company, that after they process your photos and there’s an issue they should call you and let you know before proceeding to uploading and charging you. I Should have just read the reviews. 🤦‍♂️I might have not risked it and also realized that covid has businesses at their most scandalous...Also the customer service was very slow, the guy in-processing my order was teaching A new photographer how to use their camera and still trying to check me in, which took twice as long for a simple drop off.

This is a proper camera store. They have everything from modern to vintage, cheap to OMG that cost how much?!?!?!?The staff is very knowledgeable, and can answer anything random you throw at them. If you are tired of giving Amazon your money and risking your money on something that may or may not work, you should check this place out.Definitely a strong case to be made for brick and mortar stores.

I went in for a set of macro filters for my 35 millimeter camera and these guys produced. It was a fun friendly and informative shop and I liked it so much I gave him three pictures. I wanted to include the sign, the guys that work there, and as much as inventory as I could. If you have any photography needs go to these guys theyve got it down pat.

They always go the extra mile to make sure professionals and hobbyists alike are well taken care of.

I love all the equipment they offer, from film developing and printing to supplies to do it yourself. And of course cameras of all types and accessories. Went in to get photograph restored, part of a face was warped. They did their best but were not satisfied with result. Eyebrows and eyes looked copy and pasted and stood out from the rest of the photograph, we asked for a revision and they did.

It was very bad experience becareful if....u want to return samething they charche you 20% OF YOUR PURCHARCHE 😡

If you care about your film I would avoid going here to get my film developed.they have messed up multiple rolls of film . Destroyed one roll that was client work because they mixed up my color roll with a black and white roll. They only offered me a roll of film to fix it . I have tried to continue doing business here but they continue to mess things up and don’t ever take responsibility they are always ready to point fingers at what you didn’t do after you paid them to do their jobs. Horrible business can’t wait till they close down due to their horrible customers service and lack of taking ownership and responsibility when they mess up.

My experience with Garland Camera has been wonderful! I have been coming here for the last few years. When I do I talk to Nathan most often. He is top notch! I feel like he, as well as the others, have my best interest in mind. As a hobby photographer he easily could have sold my on the latest and greatest cameras and equipment many times. But instead he talks to me: asking the right questions to get to the bottom of my needs/wants. He even indulges me and looks at photos that I am proud of taking. At the end of the day he gives me options from the best money can buy or what seems most fitting for my needs/wants.Today, I walked in knowing I was likely going to talk my self into buying a new lens. Nathan, as always talked about my expectations/needs. He gave a recommendation for a lens. But he recommended that I rent the lens somewhere for a weekend. Give myself the opportunity to test the lens before buying. Again, he could have sold me a new lens.But because Nathan and Garland camera have always tried to find what is best for me. I will continue to be a customer and you can bet I’ll buy my next lens from them!Thank you Nathan and Garland camera! You do customer service right!

Photography stores, especially that also cater to film, are getting hard to find. Garland camera does not disappoint

I had bought a lens yesterday 8/17/18. Took it home to find out I didn’t need it at all. I took it back today 8/17/18 for a refund. They decided to charge me a 20% restocking fee and claim it was policy when their policy clearly states any return after 48 hr is a 20% return policy. Then he stated the the policy on the wall is for new equipment. When the policy doesn’t says anything about new. I also stated that they have lost a good customer and they also shrugged their shoulders to say I don’t care. Then you wonder why people turn to Amazon. What’s even worse they offered me store credit as to say we are going to keep your money one way or another.

What a joke these guys are do not come hear unless you know exactly what you need, they will tell you that you need this and that for you to get home and didn’t need any of the parts they sell you then you call for a return and they will only give you 20% back. They did me wrong I was Loyal spent good money with them I just got a canon speed lite for 360 nice light I opened it once. It was for my canon but I’m getting a Sony instead so I decided to take it back to them in less than 3 weeks of me having it. I spent 360 but I got 120 back super cheating of me . They claim it was supposed to be a warranty but there was no warranty paper in there . And I had the receipt and I’m a loyal customer I have spent with them for months not good customer treatment I should just support someone else like competitive cameras in Dallas

I took film in from a trip i had taken and i wanted these photos from this specific trip, almost immediately after dropping off my film and paying for the prints i receive a call stating my film was blank ( my fault and partly the cheap camera i used) i am then told i cant not get a full refund but a store credit to use in the future. i had no intent on returning to the store after getting these prints. i am extremely disappointed i cant get a full refund and even more sad that Im out money for nothing, not only that it was never communicated to me what the return policy is because i would have reconsidered. Im sure they do great prints but my experience was less than this one star im giving... WOULD NOT RECCOMEND

Have been to this shop several times. They have great equipment. You can find equipment to setup your own studio. They have had free startup short courses on use of a new camera, provided that you did purchase it there.

I got a set of B&W negatives back yesterday that were outstanding. The folks here take pride in their work and Im super pleased with the results. Had a pleasant experience at this shop. I needed to have the outer glass replaced on my Nikon screen and they were very responsive to my emails a few days prior, confirming that it was in stock. When I went in, they said itd only take 10 minutes to replace it. In the meantime, I was chatting with another employee about lenses and mirrorless cameras. The dog was pretty nice too

These folks are awesome! They have old school equipment and extremely knowledgeable on film photography as well as digital photography. I took my camera to have a battery door replaced on a digital camera, and I was prepared to leave it, and while I was talking to one of the folks, the other person repaired it there on the spot! They got some great things that you cant get anywhere else including darkroom equipment. They sell film and also process it as well. I have a Pentax K-1000 and if I ever need it repaired or cleaned, its a slam dunk: Im taking it here!

I personally enjoy visiting this shop quite often. The staff is very knowledgeable and has been able to help me figure out my film cameras. They have also improved their film development process, so now they can process film in the same hour. They have a fantastic mesh of vintage and new digital cameras. There are also photography classes held at the location! I believe it is once a month, but ask the staff to be 100% certain.

We bought a camera for a Christmas present. The camera had a few kinks to begin with in the store, so the camera was discounted. The camera did not take clear photos and continued having problems. We were told we had 60 days to return the camera. We came in, within the time allotted, and attempted to return the camera. We were told the camera could not be returned due to it being a used item when it was sold. This goes against what we were told when we bought this camera. I do not recommend this business due to lies told to us.*****Update*****After seeing this review, he refused to even give an in-store credit! Horrible business! Use amazon or a pawn shop!

I inherited a canon and immediately brought it to these guys to have a look at it. They are SO knowledgeable and enthusiastic about cameras. My experience chatting with them was very refreshing. They looked at it, quickly diagnosed the things that needed to be replaced, and quoted me a reasonable price for everything. Im so thankful for this shop and I will absolutely return for my canon-needs.

These are the only folks that knew how to fix our Nikon lens. No camera shop in Buffalo, NY, Jackson, WY, or West Yellowstone, MT,could do anything with the lens that was bent after our camera fell out of our backpack from chest height while on vacation. These guys did some team work and had the lens fixed in ten minutes!

Ive visited this shop multiple times now so I feel like I can write a pretty honest review of my experience, which has always been helpful and kind with the utmost professionalism. I know absolutely nothing about cameras and photography even though Ive always had a latent interest, and I finally decided to kick this interest into a serious hobby. Every time I have come into this shop I have spoken to a different person (I think theres about 4 or 5 that work here, not sure) but seen the same faces and they have all been incredibly helpful in answering any silly question that I have, even going so far as teaching me how to use my film camera and what ISO, aperture, and shutter speed and all that do. I even asked them to check out a used camera I was buying off the web to make sure it was okay to buy and they said yes with the utmost professionalism!! Any store could have said no to that since I wasnt buying directly from them but they were more than happy to help! This store is really a treat to visit every time. The people that work here are phenomenal and the puppers is so cute! I would highly recommend coming here, these guys really care!

I visited Garland Camera with the intention of trading my camera for another model. They patiently walked me through the differences and convinced me I was better off retaining my existing camera. Their honesty eliminated the need to trade-in my camera and prevented them from selling me a new camera and accessories. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and very courteous. As fate and irony would have it, a toddler dropped my D750 and bent the mirror a few days before my planned visit, so now I had two reasons to come, and Im glad I did!The reviews are correct to praise Garland camera for the customer service. The gentlemen are polite and kind, and the little doggy is very playful, and good for distracting children while parents conduct their business :)In any case, Steve the repair man came out to discuss my cameras damage; he was thorough, patient with my questions, professional, and friendly.The fact that they have a price menu on their website really helps a customer not be surprised or taken aback.I was told the camera should be ready by Tue (I came on Sat!), and lo, it was ready by Monday morning! Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful and patient and genuinely cares about making sure you get the exact camera needed for your level of expertise.
