Great experience with the staff at this store. Only negative comment I could make would be due to a paint shortage. I needed exterior latex acrylic super paint and it seems there is a shortage on this paint. However, they were able to get me a couple gallons brought for another store last time I called. They made it very easy to just stop by and pick up the 2 gallons already mixed for me. Will always be my go to paint solution.

Great customer service. I walked in with an old, contractor size, bucket of paint that had gone bad. The store did not have what I needed, but immediately checked other stores and found it. When I arrived, the paint was waiting for me, shaken and all. Everyone was very friendly.

Have even gone in with samples that I figured they could never get the paint color from due to it being so small or faded from age and they have always gotten it to match. They are very knowledgeable and are always up to educate me on anything they supply or a project I am working on.

After remodeling a building that had been unoccupied for almost 3 yrs and helping a friend redo her kitchen after a fire, I truly believe they have the best paint and primers.Goes on like butter with few drips, and the coverage it fantastic! Ive tried other name brands from places like Ace and Home Depot, but constantly find that I have to do almost twice as many coats for the same finish.The company keeps a record of all orders, so its easy to do touch-ups...even (as in our case) most of them are color matches. And you can even call in orders!Recommend this place to anyone...professional or novice.

Purchased almost $500 in non-tinted white product yesterday (on my lunch hour) over the phone for my contractor to pick up. Just 2 5 gallon buckets. Received a phone call at about 3:30 pm today from Sherwin Rep telling me that the product had to be picked up before they closed. (I was not made aware of this previously) This caused me to interrupt my work day to try and track down my contractor....with no success. So then, I decided to just cancel/refund the purchase and take my business elsewhere. When I informed the sales Rep of this decision, he started to change his tune a bit. He tried to tell me that they were going through an audit and that the product I purchased had to be off the books. Huh??? He said he could refund my credit card and just leave the paint there for my contractor to pick up later. WHAT?! How is my contractor going to pick up paint that is no longer paid for??!!!) OMG!If a customer pays a lot of $$ for product, has a named receipt on it, and has established an agreement that their contractor will pick up the paint, dont you think GOOD customer service... and 21st century audit systems would allow for at least 24 hours worth of storage in a holding area where said product would not be an issue? I have worked with 2 other Sherwin stores in the KC area...and this has NEVER been an issue. Luckily, my contractor happened to arrive to pick up my order while I was talking to the sales rep over the phone. Had he not arrived, I would have cancelled the purchase and taken my business elsewhere. I would not recommend the Gardner location. Go elsewhere...or switch to Benjamin Moore!

Employees will help you find the stain, sealer, brush or whatever you need. They know their products and give you good information on what will work best for your project.

I pre-ordered the paint for an evening pick up. I came in early and they were there ready to go. Even though the store was busy. I was still greeted with smile.

I hate to give a local business in my community a bad rating but Im not sure if these guys are lacking knowledge or just wanted to get rid of me because Im not a contractor. I went in looking for some red (think fire truck red) stain, I was told that the product wasnt made and good luck, I asked about wood die and then they told me about how bad and toxic wood die was and even to order it would be over $100 custom order. This isnt the issue.. Guess what after I ended up down at spectrum paint n olathe.. Guess what I ended up with? Sherwin williams true red plus the information was erroneous... Not recommended

We use a lot of Sherwin Williams paint on our properties. The PVA Drywall paint can also be used as a great ceiling paint. If you are using quite a bit of paint check into their contractor pricing. The contractor grade paints are also very high quality.

After 2 visits and several phone updates to pick a paint color and get samples, with mostly good service (had to wait for clerk to complete phone inquiries), we were ready to buy. Lo and behold, they were out of paint. Could have told us earlier in the process that no paint was available. Off to the box store.

I was extremely happy with my experience at this Sherwin-Williams store. While there were other customers ahead of me, I was acknowledged quickly and told someone would be with me shortly. I appreciated that. I didn’t wait long at all. The representative who handled my transaction was great - friendly, HELPFUL. I had picked out a few colors through the SNAP application, and one of the colors I’d seen at Lowe’s wouldn’t come up online in the SW search tool (an HGSW color called Jagged Granite) so I worried I’d have to pick a similar color but the representative said no problem, he could make Jagged Granite. And he did just that, and quickly. And gave me some paint stirrer sticks too. And applied my discount coupon from the PaintPerks program which I also appreciated (the program itself and the discount being applied).

Poor customer service. All of the salespeople I spoke with at this store were very brief and either they didn’t seem to care to offer any recommendations/expertise or they were just not knowledgeable enough to provide help/suggestions. I did not feel valued as a customer...I expect more from a specialty store such as this.

Ive been going to this store since it has opened and have bought all our paint from them. Most of the salespeople there are wonderful, especially the young woman that currently works there. She has always taken time above and beyond to make sure I buy exactly what I need. Unfortunately, today, she wasnt there and a tall gentleman helped me. I didnt get two words of of him and didnt take the time to make sure I bought the right paint. Needless to say, he did not get me what I needed and would only refund one gallon of the two gallons paint. It was the worst customer service I have ever received. EVER. They lost a loyal customer tonight because of him.
