The staff at this store are absolutely the best people! Great products, great selection, outstanding customer service. Forget about the big box stores, shop here, you wont be disappointed. Special shout out to the manager, I believe his name is Hamilton. He went above and beyond to make sure I brought home an awesome firepit for the family tonight.

New store, relatively, in a great location. Store is well laid out, staff is helpful and efficient. Ample parking. Shelves were well stocked. Has great selection of products. It was not extremely busy, but people were coming and going quickly.

This is a great Ace Hardware store. They carry the products you expect and want from a hardware store plus a little more. They will order something in for you if they have it in their warehouse, but you might have to pay for it upfront. You just need to be aware of that.

Very nice place to shop. I have been to this location on a few occasions now and have yet to be disappointed! I highly recommend this location based on the employees expertise and willingness to help you with whatever you need. The store is still like new and everyone in the store has a smile on their face.

This is what a home improvement store should be. Walking in the store feels “like the good old days”. Friendly and knowledgeable staff around every corner, well stocked with premium products, and unbelievable service. I bought a Gravely mower from them and the service has been awesome! Definitely worth the drive to avoid the big box pain.

First is good location. Second is stocked well. Third is great service. Fourth is the employees act like you would want them to act (Like you are dealing with a friend). Fifth is the prices are reasonable already. Sixth was the Ego tool selection off in a side room was just awesome. Reminds me of how Buddy Sparks used to be in N. Bham. As Arnold says Ill be back.

Ace of the South isnt your ordinary hardware store. They have everything you need from hardware to gardening, while also keeping up with the latest trends in clothing and accessories. The staff is always friendly and helpful and treat you like family.

Terrible customer service from their stihl sales reps,, i went in to buy a specific weedeater and they were sold out of that model that day, which is fine, however the sales rep talked me into going with a different model. Which i have had nothing but problems out of since ive had it,, the third day after i had it i ran it and it ran horrible and wouldnt even stay running, i tried to return it within the 7 day return limit and the guy insisted i let him try and fix it, so i did,, but he has yet to fix it,, this is the third week i have had it and have taken for them to fix it 4 different times for them to unsuccesfully fix the brand new weedeater, today i asked for a refund again and the man told me that stihl policy would not allow me to have a refund, i talked to the area stihl rep and he told me that was a lie and it was the stores discretion,, then the man at ace told me it smelled like my weedeater is running hot, but why would a brand new weedeater run hot,, and they refuse to refund my money and i paid close to 500 dollars for this unit and have had nothing but problems out of it from day one , would not recommend anyone to do buisness with this location

Ordered something online, and it was ready the next day (website said it would be ready in 2-3 days). An actual human called and said my item was ready for pickup. I then became totally distracted by the rest of the inventory within the store and bought more things I didnt need.

This store has various items in stock. I needed A Big Green Egg item that was out of stock in other stores and was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked that section was. The staff greeted me at the door and made sure I found everything needed. I dont live in this area but will return to this store when in the area.

If you are looking for a Ariens or a Gravely Zero Turn Lawnmower then Ace of the South in Gardendale is the place to go. Even this late in the season where everybody else like Lowes, Home Depot & Tractor Supply are in low supply and are not getting anymore in until the spring, Ace of the South in Gardendale have a great supply and are getting more in, in 3 weeks. They deal directly with Ariens so when they need more mowers or parts they just put an order directly to the manufacturer. They also do ALL the service for the Ariens & Gravely on site, not SHIPPED else where for weeks at a time. They want your business and will bend over backwards and do whatever it takes to get your business. After not finding the mower I was looking for everywhere, I broke down and let Lowes in Fultondale talk me into ordering it through them. Gave them over $3000 because they wouldnt order till I paid for it, I left with a receipt and no mower. They told me it would be in, in 10 days & they would call when it came in. That came & went, I tried for 3 days to get someone to answer the phone at Lowes so I could find out something, gave up, so my husband & I drove over there (25 miles one way ) they couldnt tell us anything, did this 3 times, they told me that Ariens wasnt doing as much production this time of year and even less because of the PANDEMIC. So after 4 1/2 weeks, I finally told them to give me my money back. I was convinced that I was going to have to wait till spring to get my Ariens ICON XD 52in cut, till my husbands boss told him about Ace of the South in Gardendale. We drove there after getting our money back from Lowes and was met at the front door with the most friendly bunch of young men asking if they could help us and our very excited 118 lb Great Dane CAMBRIA. Yeah thats right they are a pet friendly store, that is a BIG PLUS FOR US. They had 1 of the mowers I was looking for, but it had came in with a flat tire. Hamilton (that was the extremely helpful man that was helping us) told us they had a tire ordered and was expecting it in any day. He said he also had 5 more of those mowers coming in, in about 3 weeks. I told him we would take that one he had when the tire came in. That was Saturday & 4 days later (this morning) Hamilton called me & told me the tire was in & on the mower if we still wanted it. We drove over when my husband got off work and picked it up. Long story, but I want shop anywhere else but Ace of the South in Gardendale. WONDERFULLY AWESOME PEOPLE & PLACE TO SHOP. I actually got the mower cheaper at Ace of the South in Gardendale, then I had paid for the same mower at Lowes (that never came in) because the sales tax was cheaper.

So clean. So nice staff. Very clean. Well staffed and much easier to get in and out of than Lowes

Excellent addition to the Gardendale Area! The owner is very hands on and involved in the store. I needed something for my lawn care business that he did not carry. The owners response was I can have it on tomorrows truck and if its something you need us to carry we will stock it. It is also great to know the are a Gravely dealer and will have an onsite gravely/ stihl mechanic!
