This Publix is great! The store is well organized, clean and well stocked. The staff are pretty much always helpful and friendly. They really go the extra mile to make grocery shopping pleasant! Prices can be a little more than other stores but the quality and experience make it well worth it!

Small store but this is the best place to grocery shop in Gardendale and the store is the most convenient to get in and out fast. The staff is always friendly and helpful as most Publix stores. I would give 5 stars if they had self-checkout since standing in line for a clerk during rush hour I find myself wondering why they do not have one.. But thankful for the customer service register that will always check you out no problem.

This is our favorite Publix. It is close to where we live, shop and dine. The employees are very friendly and willing to help with your special requests. The bakery has free cookie samples for children. They give out chocolate chip and sugar cookies. You can go to the deli and place an order with them to prepare while you do the rest of your shopping. Sometimes the deli will run out of something, but it is usually back in stock within a day or two.

Great service. If they dont have what u want in groceries they will try to get it for you if u request it. Always clean. Busiest Publix around

This was absolutely one of the best experiences I’ve had at any Publix!!! I love the Publix family and I’ve grew up shopping “where shopping is a pleasure”. It was just that. There wasn’t an employee that didn’t greet me along my journey through the store. From the time I walked in, until I checked out. The most memorable part was in the deli. I stopped to get one of their famous Chicken Tender subs 🤤 and the Ultimate Subs for my parents. Tamara and Haley were out right the most polite artist ever! Born and raised in Florida it’s a certain way I like my subs made and Tamra surpassed the bar. Her customer service was unmatched. I loved her bubbly personality and the way she interacted with the rest of coworkers. I can’t forget James. He made sure the chicken tenders were hot and fresh. Overall, my experience was one many great trips and many more to come. Before I leave I am going back for another sub and a dose of southern pleasure. Thank you so much for making the experience one to remember.

Bakery is by far the worst. Placed a order for a birthday cake for my daughters birthday party. Went to pick up the cake this evening only for it to shift. Cake wasn’t good at all. The icing on the cake tasted like wax. Will never use Publix bakery again.

Normally publix is my go-to store but their shelves were a little bare today and they seem to quit supplying more and more of the brands we buy.

This location has become my favorite. Yes...I would rather drive 15 minutes out of Birmingham; yes pass Homewood, and the DT location. Just go, and youll see why. From the most caring employees, to the cleanest, fresh food lookin (& tasting) Publix, that Im use to. I pay more at Publix, because of this.

Bought over two pounds of shrimp from the meat market on ice $20 and worst ever had. No one would eat them. Texture and taste were awful.

I absolutely love this Publix location. Everyone is super friendly, the store is very clean and well maintained. All of the speciality counter workers are amazing especially Ms Vette in Seafood she always goes above and beyond to make sure you are fully satisfied with what you are purchasing with a smile on her face!!!!The only thing I do not like about this location is when I do shop for Instacart items are not always in stock which Im sure may be more of an issue with that service than Publix itself but everything else is wonderful!

Being an out of towner I am amazed how clean the store was. Very small vegetable dept, bur plenty of organic choices. Went to this grocery store 3x since my visit and the cashiets always greet you with a smile.

All of the customer care team were friendly and helpful. The aisles wide enough to get through. The produce/prepared foods/deli areas were wide and spacious to allow multiple ways for consumers to explore. Nice, bright lighting throughout. Price labels big enough and easy to read and all items placed with their proper labels.

Just dont bother ordering a sandwich online for in-store pickup. If you do, it will NOT be ready when it says it will be, and you WILL stand around for 20-40 minutes past the pickup time to get it.Happens to me every single time.

Their online deli leaves much to be desired. This past Sunday morning, I ordered one lb. of ham and 3/4 lb. of turkey. When I go to pick it up, there’s no turkey, just the ham. An employee finally locates the turkey up under something and it is a full pound and sliced tissue thin. I had asked for thin on both but the employee handed it to me and didn’t care plus the order costs more due to the wrong amount sliced. (Order #1206-2297). So I had ham sliced thin but turkey was impossible to place on a platter— just like mush.☹️ The time before that, Boars Head was substituted for Publix resulting in an overcharge. A couple of times, there was nothing ready at all when I got there. So much for online ordering!!Today my husband and I were in there— products on sale are not marked ( the chicken breasts in particular) and in the past, those products on sale are usually out of stock completely by the day after the sales week starts. They miraculously appear though on Wednesday when a new sales week starts. To me, it’s deceptive in many ways. As often as possible, we go to other locations in Shelby County. Today, our cashier never even attempted to sack our groceries— we had to do it ourselves. For a company that touts its “customer service”, you have a distance to go at the Gardendale store. Another reason to shop elsewhere.😒

Im not a fan of shopping in store so I try to find stores that offer curbside pickup. In the past,, I always used Wal-Mart or Target for my grocery orders because I was able to order online and pickup curbside. I wasnt aware of Publix pickup. When I stumbled upon it, I thought I would give it a try. I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. Employees in store have always been friendly and curbside employees are as well. I have had some amazing Instacart shoppers and I have had some not so great ones. I wish Publix would hire their own employees to shop so they are more likely to check for items that may or may not be out of stock. Outside of the minor issues with Instacart shoppers, I absolutely LOVE shopping on the app and picking up curbside.

I really like Publix, the.people are friendly, and helpful,at the deli they are willing to please you and the whole store has a.large capacity of spices, and condiments you can cook with... all in all its the best store in Gardendale

Mr James absolutely deserves a shout out they went above and beyond what I would have expected and have actually gotten from any other employee this man did not stop on the time I got there until the time that I left he was absolutely hands down the hardest-working employee that I have ever seen in any Publix and I want to personally let this be known that he made my whole trip worth it I stood in line over 30 minutes just to get a sandwich for myself and my son and I would normally be extremely upset about the time that I had to stand in line but this man made it all worth it thank you so much mr. James I really hope that he gets the recognition that he deserves

We had never been to Moes and we loved it. The food was great and the service was great also. They were so patient with us making our order. The staff was very friendly.

The staff is *usually* very friendly and helpful, so no qualms about them. but how in the world does it make sense that you make sushi in store, but cant sell sushi grade fish to your shoppers? and the lady who was helping me at first really shouldnt be over there, she can barely hear and i dont even think she knows what sushi is in the first place. but i can always purchase my fish elsewhere, so not that big a deal.

When you first walk into the store it has a well organized clean appearance. All items are in their appropriate place and their fruits and vegetables area is so clean and their products are so fresh. I also noticed one of the stock crew was making sure that the products they were stocking was being rotated to insure the customer was selecting fresh items. All shelves are well stocked and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I always enjoy shopping there.

Produce section is always top notch! Staff is friendly (for the most part had an issue with a worker there more than once) but sales prices are good some things a little over priced but as is the case at any store.

Now this is a good place to go got about anything you want their subs or better than Subway and theyre bigger and they use better meat and they dont cost as much generally I can eat a footlong from Subway with everything on it and when I got some Publix I can only eat half and I was about to pop the paper friendly will go out of their way to help you do whatever they can for you thats why I shop at Publix in Gardendale couldnt ask to go to a better grocery store really nice folks

I 💜 shopping at Publix. The main reason is because their staff is ALWAYS so friendly and helpful. I was looking for a particular juice that I had not purchased before but they had a digital coupon on their app for it. After looking for several minutes for it with no luck I asked a young man that was stocking if he could help me. He politely agreed but was having trouble himself finding it. But he didnt give up until he found it for me. He was so patient, and I couldnt ask for better customer service. If youve never shopped at Publix, I recommend that you do. You wont be disappointed.

Publix is where you can get an array of premium food. Store is always nice and clean. Employees are very nice and helpful too.

I really just cant say enough about Publix. They are the best grocery store by far. The service is amazing, their sales are great, and the store brand products taste good. Ive never been in the store without someone checking on me. They always offer to help you get your groceries to the car.

I love Publix when I come to Birmingham they just didnt have my air custard pie this day they are the best grocery store in the south.

They now have small can food and then they jack the price up and you dont have a big can because of the president .

Everybody ( from the front door to the rear) at this store was sooo accommodating even when what I was looking for was right there. They walked me to the item.

I visited Publix pharmacy to get a flu shot. There was NO ONE ahead of me at the counter. The clerk was on the phone...for a long time. Finally I was able to explain why I was there. I had to complete a form. Once I completed the forms another customer had arrived. I waited for that transaction to be completed. The clerk got on the computer and finally after 5 minutes, she said thanks for your patience. After several more minutes, the pharmacist asked if she could help. Customers that are standing there, waiting, deserve more attention than someone on the phone, or working on the computer! After the pharmacist took my information, it took about 15 minutes to get the paperwork processed, which was fine. But since the clerk knew I was there for a flu shot and would have to wait an additional 15 minutes, she should have paid more attention to a customer that was there...waiting...with no chairs!

Person who was behind counter at Deli was rude and obviously resentful that we got in line while it was still open and serving others.. we were aware that we were gettin there late...but to just walk off while my wife was speaking to you.. ...5 stars to the two other employees who I dont know if they witnessed the encounter...my guess is they did but they were extremely kind and helpful. Doubtful if Ill ever return. Wife probably will. But then shes very forgiving. Me. No horse parking...
