Amazing amazing customer service and set of designers for their custom closets. We did our project with Leslie to design two closets with her. She is super professional with exquisite attention to detail. She knew all the details for proper shelving height for different types of clothing and gave us the right design for what we needed. There are four lines depending on your budget. The quality and service is better than ikea, without breaking your bank for California closets. Quality design and workmanship value for the money. Leslie made our forever closet. Thank you Leslie!!!

I ordered an expensive closet system from the container store online site and got sent the wrong parts 3 times! I had to call and correct it every time, then wait one week in between. The customer service was nice and I know they don’t control the warehouse, but that many mistakes shouldn’t happen at such a large (and expensive) company.

First time here. Son wanted to check it out. Looks like the college kids cleaned it out? Lol. Very interesting items from what was left. Huge place with containers that will fit most needs. I came, I saw and left empty handed.

The staff here is always so helpful and so friendly!! I work for The Home Edit and we had a major project in the Hamptons last week so we leaned on this store a lot for assistance and boy did they come through! Thank you Garden City team! We sincerely appreciate your support and kindness!

Holy over priced for basically plastic and mesh metal. I dont need to spend that much on plastic hangers. Better to use this place in order to get ideas and find the products cheaper elsewhere.

The layout of this Container Store is absolutely fantastic. Weve been to a few Container Stores in our area and this has had the best layout. Spacious, open and bright.Be aware that a lot of things are sold out right now.We had a pickup and the store associate that assisted us was great.On another note, we were sad to read another review where a fellow shopper was made to leave when they had to take of their COVID-19 mask for a bit because of a medical condition. We wear our masks but totally understand that sometimes others may not be able to wear them all the time. Understanding and compassion is needed these days. Rigidity will bring us down.Peace, everyone.

So its my first time in the store ever and I approach one of the sales people, (an older gentleman with glasses and hearing aid in Wrangler jeans), and he says,what do you want? You got to be kidding me right? So you know you can tell when someone obviously does not want to wait on you for whatever reason. and then they feel bad and they come back and ask you if you need assistance but its like too late too little too late now buddy. So the long and the short of it is, if you want terrible customer service go to The container store in Garden City.

Pretty cool. Was never there before this week. If you believe in organized hoarding, then this is the place to go!! Some stuff was a little pricey, but hey they have everything for organizing your junk, your kitchen, your garage or your closets.

Great place for organizing you space. The only thing I didnt care for was the complete closet zone. The wood used for a remodel is the cheap wood chip core with plastic coating (the short life span throw away).

The space is clean, workers are professional, and there are a lot of options. The brand does not fall short of its name.

I am Very Disappointed in the Lack of Customer Service, even from the manager. I was given the incorrect info after having to seek out help and basically, the manager that was supposed to assist me walked away. I found there to be very low stock on merchandise in the Garden City Store, too. Ill find another place to go next time I need something. They were of no help and the trip was a waste of my time. This store used to be better run in the past, much before Covid.

Surprisingly, a busy place. I was in the store, but couldnt get assistance, yet called while in the store and got assistance. Person didnt know I was in the store. They have great ideas for modeling and decorating a home and organizing you home. Pricing was reasonable also.

Wow. worst experience ever. was shopping peacefully with my kiddos when. randomly lady stormed out of no where screaming and demanding we go. My kids were not disturbing anyone, but she told me to take them to a toy store!

I have never been here before and I am so impressed at the variety of ways you can organize things. More importantly I want to highlight one staff member Allison she was so helpful thoughtful and kind I was really indecisive about what I really needed for the space and she was patient helped me think about it and offered solutions. she had no problem going to check the back for items that were not on the floor I really appreciate her service. when I came back the next time she also remembered my name. I wanted to take the time to highlight her awesome customer service because its too many times I dont experience it in establishments

Maybe because the pandemic, the stock is low. But the staffs are very friendly, especially Leslie, she is extremely helpful. I couldnt imagine what kind of situation my Elfa system will be run to, if without her help. Thank you.

Another store discriminating against those with disabilities. Violating the direct orders given by the governor of the state of the New York. Clearly outlines that those with a medical exemption / medical condition do not have to wear a mask. And I WAS WEARING A MASK, I eventually pulled it down because I couldn’t breathe (as per my medical condition) and I saw several other patrons with their masks down. An employee chose to specifically single me out and refused to look at the note I have or the order that I also had, clearly stating that I didn’t need to wear a mask. She told me I had to leave. With my three small children standing next to me, all wearing masks in compliance. I am so tired of basic citizens policing other citizens. It is literal discrimination and it’s getting really old.

One of my favorite places to go! From containers to kitchen/baking accessories, Laundry Hampers and a lot more! We will definitely come back to this place!

I didnt know that this type of store even existed. A friend told me about it since I was reorganizing a couple of spaces in my home. After seeing what they have and discussing it with the very helpful and knowledgeable staff - I had a plan and the supplies needed. Thank you.

I just love love this store. My place is finally totally organized, and looks great. They had things I needed but couldnt find at any other stores. I literally had to contain myself, since Im very neat by nature. This store is like my dream store to some extent.Im not joking ! Crazy but true.also the folks that work there are very professional and very nice specially Sara and Nora and the manager Alfredo.

First time in this store. Accompanied my Fiance with no intention to buy, but left the store with storage containers for my refrigerator. The store is quite large with many options. Check out was easy. Did not interact with the staff, so I do not know much about their customer service. Would definitely go back for shoe storage containers.

Store associate acted as if I was bothering her when I asked for helped and then just told me “No. we don’t have it” without actually checking. Then Trying to check out, the line is wrapped around and only one cashier. Multiple store associates walked in and out of the check out area but not one got behind a cash register to expedite anything. Still waiting to check out...

Good store for college stuff

You will find a lot of creative ways to organize your stuff. But be careful if you are an impulsive buyer (like moi)....you may come out with double or triple of what you originally planned to get.😲

Good store overall but several items are out of stock for weeks at a time. If they are discontinued, just take the tags off the shelf! Otherwise, purchasing and manufacturers have to get it together.

Staff is willing and ready to help! Alison made my shopping experience a breeze when I told her I couldn’t find gift boxes with specific dimensions. She insisted to help and found every box in my list. I was leaving with nothing as I got overwhelmed and frustrated but thanks to her great service she saved me a few trips to other stores. This is the difference between online vs in personal shopping.

Clean and organized, nicely arranged and the staff is friendly but not pushy to help, they let me do my shopping in peace.

Store is great, they have the most amazing organization products, ones that you wont find anywhere else. Employees are amazing, always very nice and helpful. Store is very easy to shop in. One down side is that my wife is a professional organizer and she needs her containers and other organizer stuff in bulk and they dont alway have stock. I know you can order online but many times she needs things last minute and you would think that a store that specializes in containers would carry stock but unfortunately most times she goes (which is very often) she leaves with not getting everything she needed due to not enough stock. She likes going there because they have the biggest selection but its not easy for her knowing that she will probably be let down again and again.

I love this place. $300 later with all sorts of goodies. Little containers for toothpicks, pills and anything else you need containing. I spent 60 minutes+ going up and down the aisles figuring out where I could use each item. 🙂

Superior service from David the manager to all the staff. I love Leslie and Sarah who are assisting with my closet design. There is a wide assortment of items to shop for. Prices are a bit on the high side, so I shop when there is a sale.

It was nice and informative.

Went there for a specfic item but was fascinated by the enormous options of different storage ideas. Just enjoyed walking thru the aisles and looking at everything. Prices are high but if you want quality items here is the place with tons of ideas.

Drove 40 mins each way to pick up a box of containers I called before I left and was assured they were in stock when I get to the store there were none in stock and the cashiers could really care less Im usually never one to complain but I just wasted an hour and a half of my day and not one person in the store could help me I would save the trouble and order anything you want from here on line

I was looking for a $5 OXO kitchen item (i.e. bag cinches) and ended up spending $67 because this place has all manner of items for kitchen and home organization. Im almost afraid to return because I forgot to buy clothes hangers while I was there. Also, I needed floor assistance and, while I had to ask for it, the associate helped me out a great deal finding my item. I shall return!

8/28/17 I just came back from the store and I have never seen anything like it. The store is usual pristine - all stocked nicely & clean. It was an absolute pig-stye - dirt, wrappers, pieces of things, store items all strewn about the floor. Shelves were a mess & quite empty - boxes blocking aisles. I actually asked if something had happened or if they were remodeling but NO it was just the way it is.... And so uncharacteristic - what has happened???

Always a good place. I love my Elfa closet and they are having a promotion on them now.

Friendly staffs. Offer help. And they all know their products and where the products located.

Although it had a lot of variety - the stuff was costly - some stuff was unique and you would buy but other stuff is much more cheaper at stores like IKEA and regular bin storage is much cheaper at Walmart when clearance or deep discounts are offered
