Buying a used car is a drag. You never know if youre getting ripped off or buying junk -- even if the vehicle looks great.A friend told me to have a used car checked out at Oakwood Tire before I bought it. I called and Matt Leetch said I could drop by and they would try to fit me in -- and there would be No Charge!The dealer happily agreed, so I took the car to Oakwood Tire.Its hard to believe, but they put the car up on a lift, looked it all over, checked the brakes and under the hood. Very thoroughly. Then, they gave me a written report. For free.Did I mention it was free?Oakwood Tire helped me in a time of need.When I need car repairs, thats where Ill take my car.Im still amazed at how kind and professional they were.

I rented a UHAUL from these people for 24 hours and only drove it 14 miles at most. It went ftom $35 to $99 over noght. They charged a $20 overnoght fee when I turned it in at 5:45pm same day under 24 hours and $14 for fuel when it was not completely full when I drove it off. Some type of enviromental fee too. Crazy! Owner of Oakwood Tire didnt want to take responsibility in handling it telling me to call Iu-Haul. They took responsibility in renting it to me; therefore, they can take responsibility for this review.Id give then zero stars if I could. Caution when using them for anything.

I have been going to Oakwood tire for many years because they are honest. If they make a mistake or miss something they make it right no questions asked. All my families cars are older high mileage and Oakwood Tire keeps them on the road safely. I will not go any other place.

I came for a first come, first serve basis oil change on a Saturday morning. I was the 3rd person in the door when they opened. Two hours later they were just getting to the second guy who was also there for an oil change. I left because I wasn’t about to waste any more of my Saturday sitting at there shop. I appreciate a local business, but I also value my time.

This is the only place that I take my car for oil changes, tires, etc. They are always efficient, honest, and able to answer any questions that I may have. It also helps that the gentlemen at the front desk are awesome! This will continue to be the only place that I take my car(s).

Every experience, and I had many, that Ive had here had wonderful service at great prices. I appreciate the coffee and water station in the waiting area. Theyve added a charging station with power outlets and USB ports. This is a place that truly cares about their customers. Once, my husband spent over a year trying to get the air conditioning in his car fixed at several local car dealers, but one visit to Oakwood Tire and it was fixed. No problems with it since. This is where you want to go if you need a car repaired.

Great service for a custom 4-wheel alignment. They warned me ahead of time that my car might be too low to get on the lift but with some creative use of wooden boards, we were able to get the car on there. They let me stay in the car and choose the custom targets I wanted to. Also, free coffee and a comfy lounge if you choose to wait in there. Would come again if I was in the area.

Last year they damaged a wheel on the wifes car, using an air hammer and their tool then stated it was a bad mechanic, and no longer worked there. Today they break the wheel lock tool, USING AN AIR HAMMER, and blame manufacturers for their own incompetence.Youre supposed take the wheel lug locks by hand.They couldve taken the wheel locks off with an air chisel but couldnt guarantee that they wouldnt damage the remaining wheels.We bought the tires from them for both of our vehicles.We would rather let a group of meth heads work on our vehicles and Rob us blind before we come back.

My 1st visit, great and friendly staff

Friendly staff. I called in for an appointment for an alignment and they were able to get me within 30 minutes. Before I could even sit down my car had already been taken back to be worked on. I noticed how busy they were but the service was fast and efficient. I’d highly recommend to others.

My husband hit something on the freeway and bent both back rear wheels, this was the only place around we could find it fix them instead of having to replace them, saved us a bunch of money. I highly recommend them.

Only went to get a tire patched but service was good, price was fair and the staff was excellent. They are a good alternative to Kaufman who seems to only want your business if you are going to spend several hundred to a 1000 dollars. Will go back again.

NEVER LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE WITH KEYS IN THE DROP BOX TO HAVE THE WORK DONE. WHEN YOU GO TO PICK UP YOUR VEHICLE THE PRICE HAS CHANGED AND ALL THEY OFFER IS TO PUT THE OLD TIRES BACK ON. I have bought many a tire here and have an on file history with 3 different vehicles there but have always walked in and waited while the work was done. This experience was of great disappointment to me. I TRY TO SHOP LOCAL OWNED BUSINESS BUT A $180.00 DIFFERENCE IN TODAYS ECONOMY IS QUITE A HIT.

They said they would get right on it. So I dropped it off for Rotation and Balance ,oil change, and fuel filter change. Waited 2:15 only got rotation and balance. Left and drove 60mph and is shaking badly. Called and asked could they fix. Was told not today bring back another day. Poor management!!

After making an alignment in any workshop they give you a printed paper where you can see the condition of your car before and after, well, they do not give to you this paper, because they DO NOT do it. thats why they do not have the report.They are SCAMMERS, they do not know how to do an alignment to your car properly, they charge you without doing it,They said that they did it but they DO NOT!, do not trust in these people. Its the worst place Ive goneTo make matters worse, there are two older man in the front desk who do not have any kind of respect with the customer.

I cannot recommend Oakwood Tire enough!I live in Atlanta, and I recently ran over a nail. I took my truck to a place in Atlanta to have the tire patched, and they proceeded to tell me that the nail had damaged the tire to the point that it had to be replaced, and my truck needed almost $1,300 in immediate repairs. My truck has over 100k miles, so I believed that it likely did need some work.However, I decided to take it to Oakwood Tire for a second estimate because I grew up in Gainesville and had used them in high school. Long story short, they were able to fix my tire for $20 and told me that the engine and belts were running perfectly fine. Not only did they provide great, honest service, but they treated me like family. I will never take my vehicle to another place!

Oakwood Tire is a great place to have work done on your vehicle. Dont let the name fool you . . . they do much more than just tires and they do a great job and only do what is needed. I was at a dealership having my oil changed where I was told that my brakes were in dire need of replacement and it wasnt safe to drive. I didnt have the money to do it right then, but took it the following week to Oakwood Tire and learned that my brakes were still fine and didnt need to be replaced. They could have just replaced them and never even told me, but they were honest and called to let me know and asked if I still wanted them replaced.The team at Oakwood Tire are honest and do what they say they are doing. I trust my car with them and would recommend them to everyone. Everyone in my office now takes their vehicles to Oakwood Tire as well for everything from oil change, tires, tune up, etc. and all are quite happy with the work.

My mom has been a regular customer there for years, and recently I needed an alignment done on my car. They have fair prices and do not try to gouge if there is extra work that is required. Turns out my car had a bent control arm that had to be replaced and it ended up costing more than just the alignment, but this is not the shops fault. In my opinion when someone posts a review like Oh it costed way more than they quoted they probably needed more work done than they mentioned over the phone.

Great prices for the tires I wanted and quick first come first served service. Free tire rotation was done in 20 minutes even with lots of other customers.

I went for the first time and dropped off my daughters vehicle to get checked, left front side was making noise, this shop had it for almost 6 hours only to say that all was ok, tires and brakes and other components were checked according to the gentleman in front, I was not charged nothing which was odd but I figured they were just honest ,picked up the vehicle and today while on her way to school the tire blew, seemed it had a bubble on the sidewalk which was not checked, thank god nothing happened to my daughter or her car, I’m very disappointed with this shop, if they didn’t want the business just say it don’t lie about things that you didn’t do, hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Honest crew. They have serviced our cars for several years.

My Dad was quoted $300 or less for a brake job and when he went the next day to pick the truck up, the bill was $530. They didnt even bother to call when the truck was ready. DONT go there unless you dont care how much your bill is. They are UNRELIABLE. And now I have concerns on the quality of the work on his brakes and wonder if they will stand behind their work if those brakes fail. If they fail and they dont stand behind them, I will see them in small claims court.

This shop mounted two new ATV tires for my 85 year old dad. One tire keeps going flat and now Oakwood Tire says that it was a bad tire to start with. The tires bead is torn from where they mounted it to the rim with there machine. An ATV dealer stated that the tire was ruined when it was mounted. Now Oakwood Tire will not do anything to stand behind their workmanship. If the tires were in fact defective, they should have never mounted them.WARNING!!! Oakwood Tire is not a good place to do business with and will never go back.

Absolutely awful. I asked for an approx. Wait as I handed my keys over and was told an hr. I returned in hr and half later. Causually waited 30 min, and heard a gentlemen say hes been there an hr and there checking his tire issue. I got skipped, and then was told itd he 30 min to get to me and them another 30 for work completion. Im not much for people being skipped, its dishonest and disrespectful especially when they exclamimed first come first serve.Terrible. They only received a star so I could make people aware.

Got my tire replaces, I got a flat after the changes my tires I was undoing the lug nuts as I noticed it was coming off crooked because the cross thredded the lug nug when they banged it on there with air impact so I only had 3 lug nuts on the car because the only way I could get them off was to keep turn until the there a just broke. so I went back to Oakwood and they replaced the flat and the shell studs and tried to charge me for the wheel studs even after I told the man at the front desk the were the last people who touched my cars tires, went home had to come back because the tire the gave me went flat the next day , horibble costomer service no respect to me or what I explained what happened I wouldnt recommend going here
