My wife and I attended the CHP class on Saturday OCT 9th 2021 with John Owens, and it was great. The registration was simple and straight forward. I received a call from Jared to remind me of the class on the Friday prior to the class. The day of John was outside, in the rain, directing parking and welcoming everyone. I like the way the class is arranged, A brief intro, some firearms basics, then right to the range. After qualifying, the classroom stuff seemed easier to focus on. John was engaging and presented information in a fun and easy to digest way. Plus his real life experience (Sheriffs Deputy) really put things into perspective. All in all a great experience that I would absolutely recommend to any and everyone.

My husband, a neighbor, and I recently (summer 2021) attended a CCL course provided through Fuquay Gun. The registration for the course was seamless. Remember to bring cash to pay the remainder of your balance on the day of the class.Our instructor was John Owens. He is absolutely AMAZING! The curriculum was well-structured and informative. John is a great teacher and speaker, who genuinely cares about his students and their knowledge of concealed weapons safety and laws. He made the 8-hour class feel like 8 minutes. Compared to a CCL course I took in Ohio back in 2016, when the instructor refused to answer questions and droned on and on about the history of Colt revolvers, when all the students really wanted to know about pertinent concealed carry laws; John answered questions and gave recommendations to students about situations that he felt would be most commonly experienced, so that we would all be equipped with relevant knowledge that would help us in our everyday lives. He also allowed students to voice their what-if questions, but made sure to keep the class moving, on topic, and professional. He didn’t act like a know-it-all, but rather, a responsible citizen who wants to ensure that we all become responsible concealed weapons carriers. The class was awesome, and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. If you get John as your instructor, consider it a sign that Oliver Winchester himself is smiling down on you.

Thanks to this shop I filled out the ATF form 4473 wrong I was told to put Puerto Rico under foreign country now I don’t know how to fix it. The ATF emailed me this information and ask me to fill it out the right way… but I already filled it out!!! lol omg thank god I was with my fionce so I have a witness that I was required to fill it out the wrong way.After a couple of days and a lot of research the situation was fixed apparently there was a mystery “man” enforcing a fake policyGlad to know that this store has a reasonable management.

I love this store. This is the first place I always check. They have a great selection of guns, accessories, and even knives and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I even took my concealed carry class here. 8 hour class but the instructor made it go by quick and thought us a lot in a very easy to understand way. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for a new weapon or accessory or need you concealed carry class. You won’t be disappointed

I wrote a review before but it seems to be taken down if its not 5 stars. I love this place but I did have a bad experience trying to get answers regarding suppressors. The gentleman that helped me just pointed to me where they were instead of coming with me because I had questions regarding the process and instead he went to eagerly help another customer because they were buying a gun even though I was there before that customer. Everyone else there was great and very knowledgeable. I person shouldnt dictate a company but I just had to voice this incident.

Fuquay G&G is my favorite firearm shop in the Triangle. Very competitive prices, huge selection, and the people are amazing! Fun group who are really friendly and knowledgeable. If youre new to the hobby or looking for a place to help you find what youre looking for this is the place to go. No bad questions with these guys they are there to help you make the best choice for your needs and budget. This should be your first stop if youre looking for a firearm.

I have yet to find an LGS in the Triangle that can readily compete with their inventory, supply, prices, and most importantly, THEIR STAFF. Good experiences hers, have found stock that I could not readily get from manufacturers websites, and purchased a great firearm here at a price that surprised me... and has turned in to a great story to tell buddies. Im sure that any local purchase I make will be done here.

Would not recommend as their staff doesnt know the difference between 50 AE and 50 BMG. I called and specifically asked for 50 AE and was told they have exactly that round in stock. I drove 1 hour to their store only to be told they dont have any at all and the rep most likely confused it with 50 BMG... Very uniformed staff that will waste your time.

Such a great experience. I was referring to this place by a couple of close friends and may did this place deliver! First off, this was my first gun purchase ever. So naturally I was a little worried about being upsold on products I knew nothing about . That couldnt have been further from the truth, I was transparent with my situation and the staff was on point with their suggestions and other needs, such a cleaning supplies, and ammunition. I have dealt with Fuquay Gun & Gold over the years dating back to 2017 and whether it was for the purchase of a high-end rifle, various pistols, simple 4473 transfers from an online purchase, or the odd accessory such as a carry purse for my girlfriend (which quickly became her favorite), I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience. The staff have always ALWAYS been friendly, welcoming, and just plain great to deal with. To really drive home the point (no pun intended). I live in Raleigh, about a 40 minute drive away. There are a litany of gun shops between my home and FG&G, some of them better than others...yet when I have something I have to have be it that special pistol, revolver, rifle or high-end accessory I still make the drive....I make that drive because I know: 1) They’re going have what I’m looking for (and if they don’t they’ll happily order it) 2) I’m going to have a good experience and leave with a smile on my face and 3) I know I’m dealing with solid folks who love what they do and it shows and that makes all the difference in the world.

I went to Fuquay Gun for an order pickup on 2020 Election Day. The store was packed with customers, but plenty of store associates were seen helping customers find what they needed and got them quickly checked-out and out the door. It was impressive to see. I live in Raleigh and travel to Fuquay Gun for all my firearm needs since they have a huge inventory with knowledgeable employees. I plan to continue to go there in the future!

It might seem intimidating if you are new, female etc but I have to say every single man behind the counter treated me with the utmost respect.Between my friend and the customer service I was able to pick out items to my huge satisfaction. If I could have a wish I would ask for a female customer service rep.Its just easier to talk to a woman... being I am one. Shed understand things a man wont.Otherwise... Ill be back. I have items on lay-a-way which I also thought was a cool thing they offer.I would tell you to go here before you bother with other locations like Cabelas. This gun store is the best I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to about a dozen. The customer service is excellent and they’ll talk to you and help you out regardless of what firearm experience you have. Employees seemed very knowledgeable They also have a lot of inventory which is saying a lot due to COVID.

I recently went in Fuquay Gun to buy a rifle. I was not not happy with the purchase, because I wasn’t told that I was buying a used gun. So, I originally gave them a bad review. I have since talked with the owner, who was very eager to make me a satisfied customer. We talked, and he was willing to give me a refund on my gun, if I wanted one. I decided to keep the gun, but highly encouraged them to let new customers know if they are purchasing a new gun or not. So I went from giving them low stars to giving them 5 stars. Thank you Gun and Gold for caring about your customers. I plan to continue doing business with you.

Would not go there anymore the staff act if there too busy and they rush you everywhere else I have been in the state of North Carolina treat you with respect and dignity but not this place horrible customer service will never go there again. I don’t care how how busy you are you should still take your time with customers and I really never seen a black or Spanish person working there this is just an opinion and what I have noticed. And my bad did not touch just one Starr just make it more diverse in there show love too all and I know it’s not you it’s the staff who rush just work on those things you’re store would be perfect.

I just want to say this place is the best hands down gun shop in NC I’ve been trying to find somewhere to install handgun sights while they do install sights they don’t do sigs but at least they picked up the dang phone and tried to help me in some form I’ve called 10 gun shops either they don’t answer or they don’t have a Smith spend your money here these guys are the best of the best

I have purchased all my firearms here. They always have the best prices, service, and recommendations. I hate when you go to a gun store and they are always trying to push something on you. Here, they ask questions about your needs or planned use and then can give you recommendations and a good explanation of why but are never pushing you to buy anything. My husband and I will not shop anywhere else for firearms or supplies.

They answer any question no matter of your degree of firearms knowledge easy to talk to and once I brought in my glock 17 with a slide issue and they fixed it on the spot. Been going here for years and we have always loved this place. However today we go in or try. Standing in line because of governors order which was fine. But the guy at the front door made an announcement that no standing around not purchasing anything because that’s not how they conduct business. And that the cameras would be monitored and ask to leave if you weren’t buying anything. I had my daughter with me so she wouldn’t be purchasing so they will harass her to leave? I won’t be rushed to make a big purchase especially a gun. Can’t believe this place has stooped to this level. But alot of places sells guns so no worries but you will lose alot of business acting this way.

My wife and I are first time gun owners and came into the store with almost no knowledge about firearms. Being unable to find a store in our area with a decent selection or employees that did not become impatient with us, we took a two hour trip from hampstead NC to fuquay gun and are very glad we did so. Tom took the time to answer all of our questions in detail and point us in the right direction for our first purchases. He showed my wife (who needed a good deal of help) how to hold, operate and assemble her new handgun. i would gladly make the trip again next time!

Been going here since it was a small pawn shop in a strip mall. Best thing about it is no matter when you go or which employee helps you they are going to be polite and treat you with respect as customer.You can tell the owner does not tolerate rude behavior from employees and in turn these young men and women are learning lessons on how to act that will help them be successful in the future wherever they go. Almost all small businesses used to be this way but it is truly rare nowadays.

Overall the selection has been pretty weak lately. They are mainly out-of-stock of just about most common ammunition, i.e. .223 Rem, 5.56 NATO, .45 ACP FMJ. I can find ammo a lot easier online now than here, Id recommend ammoseek(dot)com to compare prices. Their $25 FFL transfer fee is more expensive than Smokin Barrel, and they only charge $15 for FFL transfer. Fuquay Gun has grown a lot over the years but I can no longer recommend them in good conscience. They are starting to price gouge on certain items.

Normally dont leave reviews but... Came in the other day looking for a Sig MCX. Didnt have one OR ANY pistol ammo and didnt seem like it was likely they would be able to get any soon either, However, It was a pleasant surprise to see how many quality AR-15 were in stock in this trying time of national shortage. Ended up leaving with an LWRC instead.I spent a good deal of time shopping around after talking to a couple of the guys. There were two in particular that were really helpful (though I cant remember their names). The guy up front with the mustache and glasses hooked me up with some 223 ammo and there was a tall dude in an HK hat who was very informative that walked me through everything I should set my rifle up with. I spent a good amount of money in one day and just had to come back to say how happy I am with my rifle and optic.Also, on a side note... there was a bigger guy who also had glasses I overheard doing impressions of british people and gaston glock and it was hilarious. -1 star for no MCX or 9mm, 4 stars for quality service and entertainment. Please get 9mm soon!

5 of my family took the concealed carry class on 1/5/19. The instructor was John Owens. He was an outstanding teacher. As a Wake County Sheriffs Deputy he had lots of experience and lots of stories and examples to share that made the class fun and never boring. On top of that the gun and ammunition for qualifying was provided (but you could bring your own), and Fuquay Gun & Golds online registration process was efficient & seamless. I will recommend this teacher and sponsor to all of my friends and anyone else that needs to take the class.

Walked me through several options, let me hold several, answered plenty of questions, and also let me know the full process for making a purchase here in NC. After a few weeks of waiting for my permit, I am now a proud gun owner.

The girlfriend and I are relatively new to new to gun ownership. I have visited most of the major gun stores in the area (and there a many fine ones out there.). All I have to say is I have bought all my guns from here. They have been very patient, educating both of us. All guns were sold to us below MSRP (despite our not knowing what MSRP was at the time). Very well organized store... with no mess which reflects the care they take in their business. Best selection in town (even in these COVID crazy times). My recommendation, particularly if you are new to this... make the extra drive and let these people take care of you.

My wife Melanie and I had an incredible experience attending Instructor David Page’s conceal carry course at Fuquay Gun. We weren’t certain how the course would go but the classroom and live fire exercises he facilitated exceeded our expectations. The facility was clean, safe, very well organized and established a great learning environment. The discussion, open dialogue and open ended Q&A throughout the weekend were so much more valuable given the decades of military, law enforcement and weapons training experience that Mr. Page possesses. We would highly recommend only one course and one instructor based on our experience. Thank you for your service Mr. Page and thank you for the time you spend instructing us and providing us with our certificate of completion. My spouse and I recently took the concealed hand gun course which which turned out to be a 10+ all the way around. Yes it is a full day course but the instructor David Page was just Awesome 👏. We must say he is a great instructor. He taught us everything we needed to know and more. We highly recommend you take the the course with David Page.

Order an M&P15 sport 2 from Fuquay online. Shipped out NEXT DAY. After background check cleared (I’m in IL and it took forever, go figure...) I picked up from my local FFL. The stated PMag wasn’t in the box so I emailed Fuquay. Within the hour I not only had a response, but a tracking number for a new PMag being sent direct to my house. Now THAT is customer service!! Great pricing, great customer service, super quick shipping. I will gladly be giving them more of my hard earned money in the future, as well as referring my friends and family to do the same. Shoot, I might even have to make a road trip down to NC just to stop by! Keep it up Fuquay!
