This store is well stocked, prices are reasonable and the staff is generally knowledgeable and helpful. The 1 star review is due to the poorly trained return desk employees.I recently brought in an unopened item that had been ordered online and picked up in this store after receiving notification of its arrival 25 days prior.Was informed by a return desk worker that since I had ordered it more than 30 days ago they could only give store credit and not credit back to the card that it was purchased with (A home depot card).They insisted there was no other option.When I politely told them I would simply leave the merchandise there and refuse the store credit they got agitated with me and turned their back on me and ignored anything else I said.I started to head for the exit but was then stopped and told a manager had been summoned.I was more than happy to go back to the return desk with hopes that the manager could accomplish the credit back to my account.After the situation was explained to her she very easily went in and was able to process the credit to my account.Apparently there was another option!So then, instead of apologizing for her employees lack of knowledge and poor customer service method, she explained to me that if anything like this were to happen in the future I should always just ask for a manager.I found it odd that she would be instructing me, a customer, on how to handle a merchandise return situation and why she would not be instructing her workers on how to handle the situation.If they were properly trained they could have simply told me that they could not handle the credit but they would get a manager to take care of it.Clearly the wrong choice was to ignore my request and turn their back on me and walk away.So as much as I would like to recommend buying things at the store, I would caution anyone who may want to return something that it may be a rocky process.Ive never had anything remotely like this happen at Lowes.

Purchased a riding mower from this Home Depot. It was the smoothest and best purchase experience I’ve ever had from a store of this kind. Beginning with Brett who went the extra mile and assisted me even though he’s not assigned to the mower department. I then called back and spoke with Ed, Assistant Manager, and explained why I needed to purchase it over the phone. He then set me up with Flora at customer service. I purchased it over the phone because I live about two hours away. I chose this particular store because of the awesome reviews, specifically being a friendly environment and how the employees go out of their way to help folks. You really don’t get that in the bigger stores. Flora was very kind and knowledgeable and the purchase went smooth. The mower was ready for pick up in just three days. They explained it would take a few days because a certified John Deere technician would come to the store and set it up properly. By hearing that, I didn’t mind waiting. When I arrived to pick it up, Peter immediately stepped up and quickly assisted me. He obtained the manual, key, and then showed me how to operate it. When we went back inside the store, Alia, in customer service, had the necessary paperwork for me to sign. The entire process took just minutes. I’m so glad we traveled two hours to do business with this store. The folks there, (all staff), made my wife and I feel like family. This may sound strange to some folks, but I’ll go there again and again to purchase things and especially to say hi to our new friends.

Rental vehicles are great, people are frequently nice, although stock isn’t too reliable compared to other home depot’s in the area.

I work in the multi-family housing industry so I am in many Home Depot’s. This Home Depot, by far, has the best customer service I’ve ever encountered. Amelia in Electrcal & Janie in Garden go above & beyond. They were both extremely informational, but most importantly, helpful and kind. They seemed to actually want to help me and cared about my project I was needing items for to complete. They are raising the bar for Customer Service at this location. Great job, Amelia and Janie! I will definitely be back to this Home Depot!!

We are in the market for a stove and dishwasher. The lady working that department pretty much brushed us off after spending a little bit of time with us to help a couple that was window shopping. We are going to Lowes this weekend to purchase. The price will be somewhere around $2000.00. She said she was the only one working that department so I guess, she did what she felt she needed to do. Wonder if she gets commission of sales?

I thought they had a great selection of mulch, and it seemed to be a bit more organized than another store I visited. I really like that the website told me where the item was located and sure enough it was exactly there when I arrived at the store. The cashier was kind and courteous. The prices were also better on the mulch than Lowe’s. I can also appreciate that they’ll deliver out to me even though I’m a good bit away but the price isn’t contingent upon distance, but rather how large the item(s) are that would result in the type of transportation required to bring the item(s) to me. Really quite pleased with the store and the purchases I was able to make.

This Home Depot have a perfect people working, at each department.The garden have employees with lots knowledge about seeds, plants, soil, and grass. Much more.The painting department have nice employees. They give me a lots of information and advice about my choice and they have experience.When I was at checkout one employee her name is Amy. She was nice, friendly, helpful. (It was my first time seeing her).At the customer service the employee helped me today she is knowledgeable about the products. She advised me to get the one she tried and I loved her advice.The kids workshop on Saturday is awesome. My kids had lot of fun.The only thing I didn’t give 5 because they don’t have many choices for the merchandise.

They help you with anything you need and have about all you need or want good place for alot of different things

Staff could be more friendly. Also what you find online not always match the inventory. It was very hot. All staff had fans. I think they can afford to keep the AC running

My wife purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from the Salesman at the Fuquay store in August. He told her Youre in Luck we have 2 in stock. It is now October 18th and someone called on recorded message & informed us we wouldnt receive our appliance until Nov 10th. Its obvious at this point Home Depot Fuquay Varina just takes your money and doesnt Provide the Merchandise. That is the 4th* Delivery we have been given! Just Tell The Truth Home Depot and dont take peoples hard earned money if you cannot provide the Appliance! What is really disturbing is that we purchased a New Matag washer & Dryer for our new home from the Fuquay store BUT they dont want to offer us any assistance to us in obtaining a Refrigerator we already paid for!! Completely disappointed.

Guess it was too late in the season cause they only had a small variety of knock-out roses to choose from. However, they have light weight battery operated tools for ladies.Tired of dragging those electric cords, and having to add extensions? Go visit Home Depot and ask. Its wonderful ... Ps, the batteries last over an hour in most cases.

Online ordering with curbside pickup was an effortless transaction. Text message received confirming merchandise was ready for pick-up within 2 hours of ordering. Delivery to car upon arrival was less than 5 minutes. Will likely use this way to order in the future.

Set up a carpet measurement for installation, selected the carpet. Gentleman came out and measured last week, no issue. I receive a text telling me my estimate is ready. This is where the fun begins. Im not sure if everyone that works at this store realizes that they are in the customer service business. Spent over 10 minutes being put on hold and transferred to various departments. Finally spoke to someone in flooring who was anything but service oriented. Told me he couldnt find my estimate and was I sure I had it done. Provided verification for him, then he finds it. Doesnt have my carpet selection. We go through all of that and then he cant tell me what the estimate it, but he will email it to me. Never received the email. So today, we start the process all over. He proceeds to argue with me that he sent it. Why would I call to waste my time if I received the estimate? There has to be a better way to provide installation services, figure it out or get out of the installation business.

Usually spend 20-30k a year here. I think Ill start shopping elsewhere. Employees talking about my wife and I behind our backs thinking we didnt here them. Wrong shipped merchandise and saying is our fault when my receipt show proper. And seriously worried about 90 day returns when people are still buying during a pandemic. Shame on you...

I dont like being followed around like I going to take something.. purchased a window unit because our AC is down for the moment plus I got some 3/4 lattice while I was there .maybe if that Guy wouldnt of been super obvious that he was following me around this would of been a 5 star review

This place seemed fine. I got some help from a dude in the fridge section, and he was nice. The store feels a little older and somewhat dark, however, which gave me vibes I didnt like in comparison to the Lowes up 401. If youre in Fuquay, though, this Home Depot will have you covered for your needs.

Very nice location and friendly personals. Particularly Hayley and Amy were very helpful. They fixed issue quickly and made great effort to explain matter and helped us to find correct one..I am thankful to meet both..

Typical big box store, the owners dont seem to be intersted in service or quality, only how they can milk the business for all it is worth. It is smaller than most Home Depots. It doesnt have everything the normal sized Home Depot stores have. Most employees try, when possible, to help.

Only reason I didnt give them 5 stars was because it just seemed kind of dismal...I just felt like they couldve been a little bit more energetic...but I did find help fast like where the hell did he come from lol...thank you sir.

Stopped in at this Home Depot for a few items over the weekend. Janie was extremely helpful in selecting a power washer. Not only did she unlock the unit but also had it taken to the front desk while we completed our shopping.The first time ever an associate approached us while shopping at this location. Also looked at a new storm door and patio doors. Donna was ready and willing to help out in that area and even set up a measurement appointment. Last stop was deciding on a sander, I cannot remember the guys name but he truly knew his stuff. Ended up buying a Rigid Sander, with a lifetime warranty on parts, so it was truly a no brainer.. The shopping experience was a win win, couldnt ask for better service.

One of the better HD I have been too. Friendly good workers.

UPDATE: I was charged twice on my credit card. I waited to be sure it cleared & went inside to customer service. They would not help me & told me to call corporate. This was an extra $58 removed from my American Express. I am extremely grateful to Peter for helping me get my order in my van. It wasn’t easy and he did everything possible to get these huge boards inside a small opening. I can’t thank you enough for your help & the staff that make it possible for fast curbside pickup!

We came in with a lot of questions and Levi over by the power tools section went above and beyond for us.

I have never experienced anything really good about this store. We inquired about patio doors to buy and have installed. Terrible service and apparently they didn’t want our business. Wasted our time for 3 weeks. We could have used that time for pursuing other options. Bought landscaping blocks to be rung up wrong and have to go all the way through another line to get a refund for the difference after waiting 25 minutes in one, Not an I am sorry, we apologize just nothing. I will be going to another store that is farther away. I don’t mind busy I r pandemic problems. Clearly, this was just a case of they don’t care about customer service. Especially the door department.

They always have electric carts charge. I am handicapped and get so upset when I go in the store and cant get a charge electric cart.

Garden Dept this year has numerous plants plus beautiful stock of Emeral Green Arbovite. Bought 2 but was shocked with cement root structure?? Mine died in 2 days stiff from no water at the store??? What happened this year??? Weather kept shifting from freezing to 70s. So sad. Potting soil like concrete? (Couldn’t get out of pots to plant - finally with a lot of help got them planted and within 2 days, stiff, dried out.) Was on its way dying with shocking weather at store and No Water??? At one time they must have been growing beautifully??? So very sad!!! Looks like they lost all Emeralds. As I passed Walmart, theirs too were in bad shape??? Was it too cold to water, so in the interrin they were in shock dying??? Wonder if they all were delivered from same nursery???

Went there to buy a fridge for the garage and was greeted with attitude from Janet that works in the appliance department don’t plan on coming back to buy more appliances I will go to a different location

This place would make me cry if it didnt make me laugh. In 10 years I dont think Ive ever come here and been able to complete my shopping in one trip, theyre always out of stock on something I need - Even though the website always says they have several of whatever I need in stock. Inventory is never correct. I come here because its the only home improvement store this close. But soon there will be a Lowes just as close...

Worst customer service at their Fuquay Varina location! Do not go here. Waited in line for over 30 mins trying to rent a piece of equipment. I finally found a manager who told me their employees aren’t cross trained so even though they had 20 employees standing around doing nothing, no one else was available to help! This is NOT the first time we have waiting to check out and they seemed to have more people doing nothing than actually helping customers. Lowes is a much much better place to shop, I will stick to going there from now on!!

Its a disorganized store, with less than helpful employees. Their rental department is a joke. Super messy and they have like one guy working there so it takes forever.

Pot stock has been nearly non-existent in the garden center. There was also no potting soil within reach outside. When I asked an employee if they were going to bring the soil stock down to ground level, his answer was that I would have to ask someone driving one of the forklifts. I was also told that the store lost a lot of tomato plants during the cold snap. That kind of wastefulness is terrible.

Went to get wood for my son to build me steps to get in my pool and Noone to be found. We stopped a girl on her way to the restroom , she went and found someone willing to help , but admitted his carpentry skills were not good.

Great Home Depot. Easy to navigate. Staff is helpful. Returns are easy (had to return the wrong sized socket). Great materials, including wood and paint. Everything is organized well, well stocked too, and things are clean. I look forward to coming here often!

After waiting for an HR for someone to cut 2 piece of carpet I left!! Asked 3 times for help and no one ever showed up!! (Most likely outside talking a smoke break) every time I go to the Fuquay home Depot its 5 people standing around talking.. smokin... (but cant find someone to cut carpet!) Place is a joke and so are most of the employees! Will be going to Lowes from now on!

Well stocked Home Depot with good selection from hardware to mowers and lumber. Saw a few nicer tool boxes Id not seen at the one by our old place just south of Charlotte. Staff was very friendly and engaged our little ones in a positive way. Glad to leave a positive review as Im sure Ill be back many times for my little business.

Today I would give it 1 star. Looked on site and it said they had snake be gone at the store. Went and couldnt find it. Talked to service desk worker and they said the havent had it in a while. Cooper heads are very active between August and September. So my question would be Why would you not stock up on it. Dont get me wrong. I would rather shop Home depot than Lowes so I would give it 4 stars any other day.

Had to return a few items that did not work out as Id hoped. I was helped immediately upon entering and it could not have been easier. The new accommodations for Covid compliance were well arranged and appreciated. With my items returned I was given directions to find my latest quarry. Fantastic customer service.

This location is always busy but there are enough registers open that I never wait in line for more than a couple minutes
