I kept forgetting to give a review for my visit here on 6/17/2021, I got Dr Lance! but I had a wonderful experience, the Dr really did a wonderful job, I didnt go to the eye doctor in so long, was about 10 years or so, he was funny, great, and personable. The last time I went to the eye doctor, all I remember it was an uncomfortable experience, but here it was awesome.Even the girls at the front desk are nice, patient, answered all my questions, really helpful.I recommend anyone whos looking to get their eye exam and a new pair of glasses to go here, I still enjoy my glasses and they work, he got the prescription correctly!They even write you a neat little card with your prescription for your glasses! I would definitely suggest lamenting it if you receive one!

The Optical manager and staff is amazing! They took care of all my visual needs and were so wonderful to work with. Made me feel very comfortable. Would HIGHLY recommend them for your eyecare needs!

Dr. Lance does a great job. I would highly recommend him. I’ve received an eye glass prescription and got fitted for contacts and both have worked great for me!

I scheduled my appointment for Saturday went all the way to my appointment and they told me they couldnt see me because they couldnt confirm or verify my insurance on a Saturday, however, they called me the day before my appointment to confirm my appointment and reminded me to wear my mask. At that time my insurance should have been verified. I should not have had to my waste my time to come all the way to the location to be informed that I could not be seen courtesy call before i came would have been appropriate customer service. I was so very disappointed in that customer service 😠

Seriously, I hate everything about dealing with optometry but I LOVE this Target Optical. There have been some surly people at the desk in past years (RE 1 star reviews), but seriously. Lance is super friendly and helpful and has no pretense. Everyone makes sure you can SEE, which is the point of optometry and which seems beside the point at most other optometrists.

Dr. Lance is super nice and personable. Very efficient visit. I showed up early and was able to start my appointment early. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Girls at the front counter are also very helpful and friendly. Not sure why this place has any negative reviews.

I will start by saying that Dr. Lance is and has been wonderful. However, scheduling and support is terrible. Like most people, we schedule an annual eye exam and have done that for over 5 years. We received the appointment reminder postcards for both children, two appointments. We received numerous email reminders, for both children.Somehow, one of them got bumped from the system. We found this out because we called to ask why the appointment confirmation wasnt working. It took 3 days for them to call back from our voicemail that was left. I know that technology can fail, but this was handled terribly from start to finish. After 6 years of being a customer here, I am moving my entire family elsewhere.

Terrible customer service

Exam with Dr Gutfleisch went fine, however, lenses were very over priced. I paid $136, and this is considering my insurance covers $100 as well. Two and a half months later, they egregiously sent another bill for $90 without even listing a reason for the charge. I have a free eye exam annually with Eyemed. I recommend to avoid at all costs, if you dont want non-descriptive bogus bills sent your way, months after paying.

I had a great experience with Dr. Lance - he deserves his own page for 5-star reviews! But, I had all kinds of trouble ordering contacts and getting answers to questions without negative attitude in return from a couple customer service personnel. Id get my exam here again, but definitely order elsewhere to minimize work with the customer service.

No call/text when my glasses arrived. Also no apologies or discounts for getting measurements wrong.

Dr. Lance Gutfleisch is amazing, warming, and personable. Ive been coming here for years. We always have good conversation! Its a pleasure to have a genuine doctor who actually remembers your name and cares about you!

I am a retail manager working 55 hours a week during the holidays. Being a retail manager I have no health insurance naturaly. So i was excited when I was told that Target optical could do an eye exam and glasses for around 500 to 600 dollars. I made an apointment on my only day off, went in to be told were sorry your prescription is too strong and wr dont have the equipment to do your exam or make your glasses. Totally dissapointed!!

Ignore negative reviews of this location. Seriously. Dr. Lance Gutfleisch is the only eye doctor Ill see, even after moving closer to other locations. The staff are busy, yes, but theyre human beings. Anyone who expects the world to bend to their will has not worked in an insurance-related business. Know your policy, group number, and plan details before you arrive. Call the number on your card. The staff have to aid in exams, file claims, create authorizations, sit on hold with your insurance, fit glasses, sell products, manage inventory, schedule appointments, deal with walk-ins, and who knows what else. Cut them some slack and be prepared. I have never had a bad experience at this location, and Ill keep coming back until Dr. Lance retires.

If I could do zero stars, I would. I had an appointment at 11 am but my prior appointment went 10 minutes longer than planned so I called to tell them I would be a couple minutes late. They forced me to cancel my appointment and reschedule. This place seriously packs in so my appointments that they fail to provide good customer services. Then she informed me even if I came in a couple minutes late I would still have had to reschedule. I was driving past the exit as she was telling me this, I could have made it but I didnt want to give my money to a location that clearly doesnt care about customer service. I called Target Roseville, MN, while more out of my way, they were completely understanding and got me in as soon as they could. She said that even if something came up and I was a few minutes late, it wouldnt be a big deal. Seriously, make the drive somewhere else, it will be worth it.

Rude chick at the desk...I told her what I came for and she asked if I wanted to make an appointment. I asked her if they take walk ins and instead of answering the question with yes or no she got snippy, said there is no doctor here so... I just left her and her attitude at that desk.

Go here. Doctor Lance is AWESOME! He is the best eye doctor I have ever visited and is super chill.

This was a HORRIBAL experience. I was calling to schedule an eye appointment because my prescription is expired and I am all out of contacts. I spoke to who stated he was the manager but didnt sound like it nor had the customer service skills to be one. Anywho, he gave me such a hard time because I didnt have my policy group number, but I had the bin number and what kills me is that I have been seen at Target previously so you think they would have it on file. so I ended up agreeing to pay out of pocket and scheduled it for the only time I had available outside of work, but he argued with me for so long that the slot I needed ended up getting scheduled by someone else. I will NEVER go to this target because of how he treated me!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!

The employees are not very helpful. I have called three days in a row to get details about my prescription and still no one has returned with the information.
