Good stuff, but really difficult to get staff to help. I do understand that its busy and there are allot of potential clients wondering about. But when someone wants good advice on purchasing a new instrument perhaps we could book a 30 minute time slot in advance. Otherwise we can do our own research online and we can say goodbye to another physical store.

Havent been in guitar center in a couple of years, and after whats going on with the pandemic it seems like everything is on backorder, if youre looking for a good guitar, right now youll be doing some waiting!. Seems like you can still get most of the cheaper guitars. And the factory ordering is not the same as it was a couple of years ago, and the companies dont seem to keep making the good models for very long anymore! But Fresno guitar center is no different than any other place! But the staff seems to be polite so far, Im still waiting on a backorder, so Ill post another review after I receive it from guitar center. Wish everyone the best.

Well first off it wasn’t what I expect there stock is good, but the customer service is just not there. Went in to by my first guitar and was ready to spend. When I walk in the some employees are just standing in a circle taking to each other while there was only like 2 guys doing something. Then I went to ask for help and the guys just told me he’s busy and can’t talk. So I left and went to American music co and bought a very nice fender and they gave me some free picks to.

Been to other guitar centers, by far best customer service I’ve had. Sam answered every question we had and made everything easy and fast. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Jay was also a nice person to talk to, friendly staff!

Very good customer service!! My dad and I have been to multiple guitar center stores including Sacramento and Modesto and this store has had the best employees by far. Sam was very patient with all questions we had and was actually helpful with helping us find exactly what we wanted. If you’re looking to find good customer service this is your store.

Staff was super helpful. Store is clean, well stocked. They offer lesson and have anything you would need when it comes to string instruments as well as percussion instruments. My son bought a ukulele.When we were there that day we accidentally left a item behind in the guitar room. Not realizing until we got home we called the store and Mondo was a great help. He was able to find our item and put it away for us until we could come pick it up He really went out of his way and we greatly appreciate it.

Very helpful staff. My daughter bought a ukulele to learn how to play. The sales person helped her find exactly what she wanted without over selling the product. You can tell that the employees like working there and are interested in the products they sell.

Matt the guitar tech did a great job on my custom signature warrior 5 string. Got the Platinum package for $80 intonation, truss rod adjustment, new strings and polish the frets and condition the fret board.Great value.

Okay not sure where all these reviews are coming from but the customer service at this location is horrendous. First off hard enough getting an employee to help you because most of them are usually busy chatting amongst themselves. Im not saying all of them Ive seen two hard workers at this location but for the most part many of the employees at this location have poor customer service skills. I was trying to put in a credit application, after waiting some while for it, when the employee kept taking other customers before or transaction was finished. Also must mention he left my application and drivers licence in full view of each customer he helped (there were four customers I had to wait for at different times during my application). You would think he was the only one working but at the time just in view point I could see three employees just laughing it up like they were taking a lunch break. Not sure how this location runs but I think some course of better management could tremendously improve revenue at this location.

Reading the reviews I can see that this store seems to generally do ok. I am not one of the customers that was done right.In fact, I dont even live in California and the actions of this store still effected me. I purchased a normally very expensive set of speakers online used. 2 subs and 2 mains. I paid for 2 day shipping and received the subs in a reasonable amount of time. After a couple more days I realize I dont have the mains I ordered yet. Same day I receive an email stating I canceled the order. I, in fact, did not cancel this order. After speaking with the call center they advised I speak to this store directly. I called this store and was first told that my speakers were stolen. Then I received a call stating that the speakers were defective and sent for repair. I was not given the option to wait or purchase them. In fact, they tried to dissuade me from purchasing them. These speakers were new enough that if they were defective they were covered under manufacturer warranty. I was told that the warranty would not apply for me, which is a lie. I have worked with PreSonus and they have always been very courteous to me.I sold my old PA system to upgrade to this one, so getting these items in was imperative to keep my schedule.How I feel about this matter is that they either did not test these speakers when they were purchased from a customer or they listed them way to low in price and decided to keep them. The last thing is that they didnt have them or were sold. They have no more speakers in stock new or used and now I have an incomplete system for an indefinite amount of time.I dont like to see stores and companies go down, but maybe some downsizing is in order. You clearly have too much to keep up with. Its okay if you do. Just be honest and quit making other people pay for your mistakes.UPDATE: After 3 months pass they send a reply via this review to email about the situation. I have sense purchased the speakers new and no longer care to deal with this store. 3 months to reach out is too long anyway.

Small Guitar Center store.They didnt have the cheap Electric Guitar + Amp that we were looking for, so we got to play with a $700 Pink Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar.The guy that helped us took his time to explain all of out questions and let us play with the guitar and a bass, so that was cool.

Great staff. Ive only been to one other location (Richmond, CA), and in this one the staff was pretty outgoing and friendly. Gear for days. Great selection of guitars, basses, drums, even some exotic percussion instruments. Lots of guitar accessories including pedals, picks, straps and strings.

The people who work here try hard to be helpful, but the pro sound selection is very hit or miss.If youre looking for the best price, they will price match anybody, so dont be afraid to compare what they have with listings on Amazon.

Always had terrible service, they have sold meh beat up floor models when I paid for new, & it seems like they are becoming more unfriendly everytime I come in... just grabbed some picks and jammed this time. Its getting old and we dont need this shop if thats how they are going to treat us!!!!!

I hadnt been in guitar center for a long time so it was nice to go in and still b able to pick up a guitar or play the piano or drums in there. They even had lessons that u could sign up for to learn how to play the ukulele.

This place was amazing....the products were never ending....but the service wasnt very nice to me.....i waited for someone to help me with the bass guitar and the were notified an it was literally maybe 6 people in the building....i spent $349 because my son wanted a portable studio...i was hurt....but im used to it being a black American! I was just exhausted with even bringing their actions up!

Ah, Guitar Center. Ive been coming to this location off and on since 2005, and in that time, the only thing that has really changed is the location of the cash register and the removal of the security desk at the entrance/exit.The good: You wont find a better selection of guitars anywhere. Go to any other guitar store in the central valley, and youll find a ton of Fender guitars and not much else. Many brands can only be found here, and its usually a pretty great place to try stuff out before buying. Parking is ample and the location is close to the freeway. The store is very clean and the instruments are typically in good shape.The meh: That bench in the acoustic guitar room comes to mind. For years, I was scared to sit on that thing; it creaks like mad when you do! I was convinced that it wasnt actually a bench but a display area not suitable for supporting the weight of a human.Any guitar approaching $800 or more is either locked up or placed up high; youll have to give them your drivers license in order for them to let you try them (this is a policy that this store implemented, its not a company-wide thing). To do that, youll need to get the assistance of an employee; more on that later.They have amps all over the place but frown upon anyone turning them up beyond the level of a whisper. The drum area is similarly adverse to people playing on the actual drum kits. Its also hit-or-miss whether or not youll find a cable to plug in with. They go through seasons; sometimes they have cables zip-tied to the racks, and sometimes youll have to go track down an employee to requisition a cable.They wont do you any favors on the pricing; there are generally coupons or price-matches of some sort available online, but they wont tell you about them even if you ask. That being said, they dont jack up the price and then advertise items at a fake discount anymore; the internet did away with those dishonest shenanigans. Items here sell for MSRP.The bad: Good luck ever finding an employee to help you with anything. Employees are sparse and its rare for one to ask you if you need help. This is something that hasnt changed in the past 16 years, and I still havent found a trick to it other than waiting at the cash register for someone to show up, possibly waiting in line behind several other people. And even if you do find someone, that person may not help you. Many, many times Ive had an employee tell me Ill find someone to help you and then never follow up, and ignore me as if we never spoke. So if you want to try a nice guitar, need a cable, need to borrow a tuner, or even want to ask a simple question, youre in for a wait. If youre waiting in line for an employee, expect at least a 5-7 minute wait for each customer ahead of you. This is all for someone who tries to come during non-peak hours when there are fewer than 10 customers in the store. I stopped coming during the busy times.On top of that, many of the employees are just lazy. Ive asked if they could check inventory at the Visalia store and been told oh they dont have that item only to call the store and find they have four of them. Ive asked if they had additional stock in the back (cliche, I know) and been told no, only to ask another employee who found it from the back within minutes. Ive also brought up guitars with fixable damage (loose input jacks, strap buttons, knobs, etc) to the attention of employees several times and no one does anything about it. One time, an employee brought the guitar to the back and said their tech would fix it. I came back the next day and the guitar was back on the shelf, no repair attempt made.Its hit-or-miss over the phone as well. Some employees dont give their name, so if you ever get put on hold, you may be transferred to someone else and not realize its a different person, which will be very confusing to them if you show up at the store and try to talk to the person you thought was helping you over the phone.

I stopped into Guitar Center to check out pricing on a couple of items Im considering purchasing. The sales staff was very helpfil and friendly. One department didnt have what I was looking for, so the salesman did online research to try and find the item in his digital inventory. A different salesman was happy to offer pros and cons of various brands of similar items. The staff is well-versed in their product knowledge. I will be back.

The selection is eh (I don’t really think the pandemic is an excuse cause the store inventory was eh before.) The pricing, well better pricing can be found elsewhere. Oh and they definitely like to act like they have everything a musician could need but they don’t. Better off going to an instrument store that offers instruments of all kinds for all stages of learning and practicing, etc.

Kind of mean not very helpful.. It seemed like that they just wanted me to spend alot of money on brand new stuff that im still unfamiliar with so I didnt purchase anything bcuz the cord for my condensor mic they told me would not work with my equipment. Sure i learned something new about phantum sound but i ant no fool i think i could have put a cord on my guitar amp to sing threw it.. they said it would sound terrible ,but i have the voice of an angel....still badass guitars but there meeds to be a microphone center for us singers lmfao...

Went there with my daughter to look for a lefty eccustic guitar in which they only had 1. We were totally prepared to purchase a good beginners guitar when we walked in. I would have even ordered it but all the help we could get was you can go home and check online, we have more online. What happened to sales people. Oh well their loss as I went home and went online to Craigs list.

I love this place, Ive done lots of business with them. Things occasionally go wrong, any problems Ive ever had they bent over backwards to make it right. I bought a soft case, I was assured it would fit my guitar. I got home, way up in the mountains... It didnt fit. They gave me a hard case and strings to make it up to me. I once got a guitar as a gift, it had a ding on the front.I took it back... So they have me a guitar that didnt have a ding and a check for like eighty dollars because the guitar was now on sale. I love guitar center.

I think the only reason I am giving 3 stars and not one is due to my prior visits going better than this last experience. All I wanted was to use the credits that I accumulated from being wrongly charged for the lessons on actual equipment because I knew I wouldnt be coming back for lessons. I spoke with someone who said he was a manager (Loren) who was not the friendliest and promised me that he would call back and to this day never has. I understand we all have bad days, but at least keep your word. So now it seems like im supposed to just lose out on that money. So disappointed.

3 stars due to the following - Went into the store to return a microphone, however, the first sales rep, older gentleman, told me I am not able to returnReason: Wrapper of the box was not there.The older gentleman then persisted I can not return due to having the microphone exposed to possible mouth contact.I told him to show me on the receipt where thats in the policy and the manager who sold me the microphone said yes you can return items but there is a restocking fee if mic is not to liking.Sales rep made it very obvious he did not want to handle the return or partake in the transaction giving redundant reasoning.The issue was then solved by the manager who performed the return right away by stepping in, waiving the restocking fee, and sending me on my way.I commend for that.Reason for return: Went with a bluetooth mobile mic application.Please make sure all employees are fully aware of the return policy and not giving different explanations of policy.

Basically no stock of studio monitors. Lack of knowledge of records and related equipment. Less than average service from less than respectful employees. Find another store or shop online, this place has fallen quite a bit since I visited years ago.

Recently we came into Guitar Center looking for a guitar for our 14 yr olds birthday. Darin, the sales rep was very informed and VERY patient helping us find the perfect guitar for her. She had a vague idea of what she was looking for, and he was very patient with her indecisiveness. I give this place 5 stars for the awesome customer service, patience and knowledge to answer her questions as well as a great variety and price range of products. I highly recommend this place to shop!

Anything and everything musical in one spot...its become a bit more desolate since virus days have come but the positive to that is that now u dont have tomwait too long to demo any of the instruments...and if there is.a lime its relatively short...so go mess with all the stuff..especially the instruments u dont know how to play... Oh they are pricey as opposed to going on Amazon or wish but definately good for last minute music items

I love guitar center but, Me and my boyfriend went to check out some guitars and look around the shop. Until it came to checking out we had the most rudest customer service ever in any establishment.Our cashier, he was a tall gentleman with whitish hair with black nail polish nails, felt annoyed and I felt bad because I hear the phone going off and customers walking up and asking him questions while cashing us out. But he didn’t have to take it out on us. At the end I told him have a great evening before walking out and he didn’t even say anything back. I was like wow 😳 I rather take my business else where.

Walked around the bass section having to google prices and information. Was in the store for about an hour trying to buy my daughter a bass but the staff was to busy visiting with each other. There was 2 other customers in the store but i was unable to get the staff to help me. Prices seem good and a good selection but your on your own to figure out any information.

I love this Guitar Center. I was in there shopping for a capo and was helped by a gentleman whos name I forgot. But he helped me very much more than I needed. Even suggested some inexpensive strings for my guitar that would probably help my playing.
