After I got the appointment, Monarch services called to inform me about the exact time the technician would be at my place. Adrian came at time to get my water heater flushed. He was a thorough professional and also answered all the questions I had about the process. I feel I got good value out of the service. I would definitely recommend Monarch services and Adrian to my family and friends.

TL;DR Went to Costco. Costco uses Monarch for Lennox. Bought a Monarch brand HVAC system (ducts, condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger). Great warrantee (10 yr parts ,10 yr compressor, 20yr heat exchanger, 1 year labor, 3 years preventive maintenance) 4 day turnaround from purchase to install. 5.5 hour install. Very clean and professional. You dont have to go through Costco to use Monarch.Monarch is the company contracted through Costco for HVAC services in the Central Valley from Bakersfield up to Merced extending out to SLO. They are the company that is used at the Lennox kiosk in the store. You dont have to go through Costco to use Monarch. The longest wait I had was getting the home inspection (3 weeks).The home inspection was completed by Brent. Brent did a thorough inspection of my condenser (outside) unit, registers (vents), intakes, evaporator, heat exchanger (furnace), and delivery system (ducting). Having been a HVAC tech in a past life, I had an idea of what needed to be done, but I didnt have the tools or manpower. So, I was curious to see what Brent was going to say and/or upsell since I had already conducted my own inspection.I was pleasantly surprised that Brent hit all the major areas and took pictures of the areas that I missed. My HVAC system was over 20 years old. My ducting had holes in it from other techs (electricians, cable techs, solar, whoever was in the attic) that got a little hot and created their own vent but didnt patch it up. Not only that, but there were parts where the ducts had pulled away from the joints, so there were plenty of inefficiencies. I wasnt getting between 25%-35% of the air that was supposed to be delivered to the inside of my home. Instead, I was cooling/heating my attic.When we went over the cost of a new unit, I was really surprised that Monarchs own brand was much more affordable. Its not some foreign made product, but an American made product with a great warrantee:- AC: 10 year parts and 10 year compressor- Heat: 10 year parts and 20 year heat exchanger- All: 1 year labor, plus 3 years maintenanceI decided to purchase the system that day.The system I purchased improved my units efficiency from a 5 ton 10 SEER to a 5 ton 16 SEER which should save me about 38% in energy costs.Install occurred 4 days after inspection and purchase. Install began at 7:15 AM and was completed at 12:45 PM. A total of 8 techs worked on my install. Tarps were laid throughout the house and at least three people carried large items (two carry, one guide) to ensure no walls were hit or nothing else damaged.After installation, airflow as noticeably better and operation of the system noticeably quieter. It remains to be seen how much more energy efficient the system will be.

Had monarch come out because our AC was not cooling. Was told that we have a small leak in a coil and given a quote to have a stop leak put in and was told we needed 3 lb of refrigerant replaced . Given a quote of $800. the technician went up supposedly put the stop leak in and 3 lb of refrigerant in. Was told we would have a check up in a month to make sure levels were staying even and that we should be good. Well turns out we WERE NOT GOOD!!!!! 2 hours later our house was registering at 89° we called monarch back to have them come out and check what was going on... two HOT days later new tech comes out and explains to us that the real leak is somewhere else and not in the coil where the first technician told us we should get the fix it leak. So we were charged for a fix it leak in the coil that was not needed charged to have refrigerant put in that obviously LEAKED right back out because the correct leak was not patched. So we pretty much paid $800 to fix something that didnt need to be fixed and charge for refrigerant that was going to come right back out.... NO LOSS TO THEM just profit to be made. Given a new quote or $1,500 and told we would be given a $300 credit for our inconvenience. When I nervously explain to them, how could we possibly volunteer $1,500 with a chance that the same thing could happen again....I was hung up on and Monarch refused to work with us. This company totally praise on the customer knowing youre at their Mercy and that you are desperate to have your AC working in over 100° weather. Had no concern with us as customers only worried about the profits they could make.Well I guess SMALL CLAIMS COURT HERE WE COME!!!!

Very positive experience! Your flexible scheduling policy allowed me to go about my day without feeling like I had to wait around for a tech to arrive. Tech was very courteous, knowledgeable, and personable. Didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me on anything, just provided an inspection, report of findings, and estimate to address findings. Really appreciate the service Michael provided—we’ve used a few different companies over the years to service out AC. This was the best experience by far. Thank you!

It’s been 22 days Since they dispatch a technician to check my AC system they told me they had to order parts and they were on back order I called them three days in a row. They say they were gonna call me back and never do. I had a missed call from the technician yesterday I called the center back within an hour of the call. They said they were gonna call me back and never did. I am in dialysis patient and I have senior citizens in this house and even my children and at this point I’m frustrated that they keep Ignoring me . The south part is that I even paid a membership with them. Not happy at all with your service

Our AC went out during a heat wave in July. It was awful. We’ve never had to use a service before so we just Googled nearby services. Everyone was booked 7-10 days out. We could not wait that long, so a few more calls later, Monarch was able to get us in a day later. They were quick and very efficient. The “I’m on my way text” with an accompanying photo of the tech is a nice touch. Our tech was Carlin and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and took his time to explain the issue. He even stopped by the next day to make sure everything was still working well. We would definitely use Monarch again.

I called MONARCH for DIAGNOSTIC service. They sent MR. MACARIO RIVERA whom I would consider an asset to the company. He’s very professional, polite and knowledgeable person. He explained vividly/detailed all the things he found out from my attic , the connections , then down to my ground AC unit with attached picture that he took while doing the diagnosis. Me and my husband was very impressed. He did not sell us anything, he just gave us all the options, the possibilities and what to expect in the future Therefore its up to us to decide what to do, to keep our Cooling system running . I would have given a zero star rating but Google requires at least one star on a review. Monarch Home Services doesn’t deserve one star. This company is horrible and do nothing but rip you off. We had them install an HVAC system through Costco Home Services. We received a warranty and a five year service agreement with the install. Every time their service people come out they claim there are parts that are failing or need repair, but none of it is covered under warranty somehow. This started on the first maintenance visit when our unit was less than 6 months old. Today, the technician told my husband that the igniter was failing and needed to be replaced, again claiming the part wasn’t covered under warranty-on a unit that is only about a year old. I called Monarch to complain, and the technician then lied to his office and said he didn’t say the part needed to be replaced, he just recommended that it be cleaned-which is not what he said to my husband. I then spoke with the service manager and told him I wanted the $180 bill written off since the technician lied. He refused and told me he would send me to collections if I didn’t pay the bill. I will be reporting Monarch Home Services to Costco and recommend that they stop using them as a vendor. They are taking advantage of Costco’s good reputation and ripping off Costco’s customers and providing incredibly poor customer service.

Last week my ac was not working and with this heat it was unbearable to stay home. Michael came out and did my summer tune-up. He suggested a new unit (I already knew it was about time). He was very professional and got me all set up with someone to come out the next day and give me an estimate. The next morning, a guys showed up and took a quick look at my system (mind you that all my ducts need to be replaced. Not only are the old and cracked, but theyre also R4) He then sat on my porch, opened his specials book and gave me a choice of 3 specials. All of which did not fit my needs because they included things I already had. He never explained to me why I needed any of the equipment he wanted to sell me. I told him I was not going to pay for things I didnt need. Instead of trying to explain what I needed and take off what I didnt, he offered to cut the price if he only replaced 2 ducts!!! I told him thank you and sent him on his way. I had signed up for Monarchs membership before this visit. I immediately contacted them to cancel. Since then I have emailed, chatted and phoned them to cancel my membership and I am always told someone will get back to me. Today, I stopped anymore payment from my credit card from them. I highly recommend you dont use these guys. They may be a little cheaper than others, but you really dont know what youre paying for. I ended up going with Allbritten.

I wanted to update my experience and review. The tech that came out had a camera and gave reasons why I needed to replace the split system unit. He showed pictures, of which, I did not know what I was looking at. He indicated that there was a cracked heat exchanger causing the odors and other issues.Later that day a nice salesperson came out and gave a presentation. To be honest the prices were extremely high snd nowhere near competitive. I told the person thus. She then indicated special pricing that would take the $22,000 cost down to about $13,000. I already had found the average costs for the system to be in the $8000-$10000 range. They simply are too high priced, dont provide enough details to make comparisons.My biggest concern is that two other companies came and quoted under $9000 each, both warned me about Monarch, also the first company after Monarch found the gas valve was leaking badly on the unit, even when turned off. I dont know why Monarch did not find it, but my only conclusion with my experience with Monarch, is that they are way overpriced and very slick in their sales process to get people to do work that is not required. I personally do not feel they are completely honest in their dealings. I do not recommend them at all.

My AC unit went out on what is expected to be record-breaking temperatures this week. I called monarch home services expecting to hear that it would be days or weeks before they could send someone out because they wwere swamped. To my surprise they said they would have someone out today and to go about my business and they would let me know ahead of time when they would be arriving. Let me just say to make a long story short that Daniel R. arrived and from the moment he greeted me to the time he walked out the door he was nothing but professional, courteous, knowledgeable and explained everything to me. I scheduled a Tune Up but got a sales pitch instead. Jose did not service anything or inspect the duct work. He could not answer questions about how to improve the performance of my system. Instead, he told me every component of my functioning system was failing and quoted outrageous prices for replacing things: $882 for a fan motor ($266 online), $1100 for a $155 circuit board etc. Then he launched into a well rehearsed sales pitch for a new system, which he repeated over and over. I scheduled an estimator for the next day that never showed up. Don’t waste your time and money! Very suspicious that there are so few negative reviews. The directly solicited a review before the “Tune Up”. Hmm.

My air ducts have not been cleaned. I explained with my lung it was absolutely necessary. He had me choking on dusty air all week. Then promised to return Saturday to do air ducts and the never check to see if seal was down. It Saturday and I find Im not on schedule. I told they I would pay deposit on completion they processed the money out of my account like thief. My health has been made worse by agreeing to do business with you people

The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5, is that its a little pricey...BUT they do it right. Im just more of a do it yourself bargain hunter. But if you dont mind paying a little more to get excellent service, professionalism, and attention to detail, then you cant go wrong with Monarch. In full disclosure, I worked for the company a few years back, so I know what kind of operation they run. Thats why I continue to have them service our systems. Honest and good value!Corey was awesome! He gave a detail work on our ac system and what we needed done in the future without being pushy! During the summer service he also changed out the dual voltage stabilizer. Will definitely use again!
