Wouldn’t recommend this place. Super shady. They were selling a Subaru. Kept saying it had “new parts” but wouldn’t tell you what brand parts they used. Avoid at all cost. They just trynna make a quick dollar off you.

I bought a 1996 Subaru legacy from Autoworld. Thus far Im very happy with the car. Its an older vehicle but runs well and has given me no problems or costly repairs. Chris was very kind, patient and helpful throughout the whole process, as were all the other staff (without exception) at Auto World. When I had a fender bender Chris gave me great advice and the damage was repaired at a very reasonable price.As long as Auto World continues to exist I plan on buying from Chris and company again should my sweet Legacy ever reach its last leg. Highly recommended for people who want a reliable used car.

We had an appointment yesterday to purchase a trailer. We drove four hours, and my wife rescheduled her wedding dress fitting just to be there. As soon as we pull up I get a call saying he probably cant meet with me and sorry for the inconvenience. I asked him if it was still for sale and he just kept avoiding the question. I reiterated that we had driven a very long way to be there and he just kept saying he wasnt in the right headspace to meet us. Today I get a text saying that hes decided to keep the trailer! You guys suck! Huge waste of time trying to deal with this place.

Went here recently and got a sweet Subaru Legacy. Chris really knows his stuff, is completely honest and he doesn’t give you pressure to buy.He showed me several options that fit my needs, was upfront about all the cars’ history and features and the pros and cons of each.I was in a hurry to get to work and he was very understanding. He worked with my busy schedule to accommodate me. His hours are very extensive and his staff is excellent. He works hard to make sure the car is right for you and I can’t reiterate enough that I felt no pressure to buy, but did anyway because of his honesty, and the value of the cars he sells. They will even provide service and used parts at a fraction of the cost in case your car has some issues. I locked myself out of the car an year later. Was just going to call the towing company. Instead I decided to give them a call first. To my surprise they helped me get in the car for free. Cant thank them enough.

After getting scammed by a guy off Craigslist and buying a terrible car, I went to Auto World to trade it in and get a better one. They were great, real helpful, got me a good deal, and I ended up with a 95 Subaru Impreza with ~200,000 miles on it. Auto World gives you the option of returning the car within two days, and I used the opportunity to take it to my family mechanic-- he looked at the Subaru and told me it was in awesome shape, just like Chris said it was. Immediately after that I drove 900 miles down to Arizona and it worked great!Overall really happy with Auto World; theyre extremely helpful and tell you exactly what youre getting in any car you buy from them. Good people, and I got a great car from them!

Chris is the most honest used car salesman in the bay area.His cars are superbly inspected and repaired prior to selling. I got an 02 Forester a few years back and its never given me any issues. Starts every time! I change the oil regularly and thats all i need to worry about.Trust the man!

I couldnt be happier with my purchase from Auto World Fremont. The sales team is friendly and personable. The buying process was relaxed and pressure free. Chris even cut us a deal on the price. The service plan is more than we expected or even could have hoped for. They have went out of their way to make sure we are happy post purchase. Now, as far as the quality of the vehicle we purchased, we got our 06 legacy about 2 months ago and are more than satisfied with the car. The car performs almost like new eventhough it is 12 years old and has over 160,000 miles. If Im anywhere near the Bay Area when its time to purchase another vehicle, I will buy it from Auto World fremont.

I found the exact vehicle I was looking for (oldest car on the lot), flew up on a Friday morning and drove it back down to San Diego the same day. Bought my Subaru two years ago and it showed a number of issues the first couple weeks after purchase. The repairs that meeded to be done added up to an extra $2k, and Chris offered to have his team take care of it but had already been swindled by that point. Avoid these scammers unless youd like a fleeting moment of joy followed by a world of problems.

So for anyone looking to purchase a car yes they will work on down payment but the 2-year service plan is a scam they end up telling you when signing the paperwork its really only 5 free oil changes that really cost you $25 a piece once you drop the car off. I feel that this should be told to the customer instead of having them believe there is a 2 year sevice plan because that is not the case. It literally just gives you a discount on 5 oil changes. And make sure they give you a coupon card because without it you dont even get the discount. And the warranty is 50/50 on transmission and engine only so the 3 year warranty and 2 year service plan I thought I was getting , well seems like I didnt get much of anything. Disappointed.

I have bought a couple of cars from Chris. One an Audi TT and the other a Volvo XC90. Chris and his team really made the process easy and both cars have been great. Its not always related to the mechanics, recently he helped me figure out how to get new tags from DMV after I lost the renewal envelope. I bought a 1995 Subaru Legacy from Chris about a week ago after lots of research and looking around on craigslist. I drove 3 hours to Fremont and immediatly got a discount for coming out of my way. He also threw in an extra set of steel rims so i could use snow tires while keeping my all season tires handy. Everyone was helpful and patient while i slowly examined each car and pondered. I will tell my friends about Autoworld and definetly will return for my next inexpensive Subaru. An enjoyable experience and i never had to step foot in a DMV!

I have bought several used Subarus from Auto World Fremont over the past decade and I couldnt be happier with the experiences.

I bought my 2001 subaru forester back in 2010, and have literally had problems with it from the day I drove it home. On the drive home the check engine light came on, so I took it back and he did fix by replacing the entire exhaust system and oxygen sensor! Not until a few weeks later this heavy vibration showed up coming from the back right wheel and every mechanic that I have brought it to hasnt been able to fix it. Their also seemed to be something wrong with the clutch, I thought it was the fact that I wasnt use to driving that model of vehicle but Ill get to that in a bit. I had to move out of state for awhile for work and when I returned I resumed driving it, if thats what youd call it, and the clutch seemed to get worse and then while driving up a hill it completely stopped. I found an amazing mechanic in Seattle, Leos Auto, they are so professional its unbelievable! Everything that the guy had told me was done before the vehicle was sold wasnt, the spark plugs looked like they hadnt been changed in many, many years. Oh! I forgot, right after I purchased the vehicle I was driving to Bakersfield and the thermostat went way into read, I had to find a service station really fast, they told me the radiator was totally garbage, I watched him pull it and it was so plugged their was nothing else to do but replace it, $397! Long story short, Ive only been able to drive this forester 2000 miles at best since I purchased it because of all the problems, and the amount of time and money Ive put into it I could have bought something really nice and got better use out of it.
