Absolutely love this place. The ice cream is a real treat. We stopped and got a take out pint.This place is consistently sparkling clean and the people dishing up the ice cream are always pleasant.they look like they have something for almost everyone!!There are gluten free options. Also I believe I saw some that would not have dairy.YummAnd I love the outdoor seating option.

Some of the best service I have ever had. They were very busy tonight when we came in. We were waited on by a tall kid with curly hair and drawn on eyebrows (which looked amazing by the way) he was incredibly nice and very patient with us. All of the Sundaes we got looked beautiful and tasted even better. Wish I could give more than five stars. Will definitely be coming back.

Was a four star restaurant that we meaning my siblings and myself all in mid to upper 70 s can enjoy a great sandwich and any kind of ice cream and treats you enjoy for a VERY fair price and an employee that smiles and laughs at your jokes is so hard to find. The ice cream was great as usual, but service was horrible! A girl walked in behind us after we were there about 3 minutes patiently waiting and was helped before us! This is the second time this has happened here for my family of 5! I do have to say after many years of visiting this establishment, we will be taking our business elsewhere!

Owners paid kids 5.50 bucks an hour to scoop ice cream then needed tips. McDonalds or Wendys pays 12. Cute old place, lots of nostalgia and memories of exploiting their workers. Wont go back ever. Used to go all the time.

Sadly I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I was met with blatant disregard there is a Kid working there that has curly hair and drawn on eyebrows he singled my girlfriend and I out. We came in with a big order now how is it that this guy kept whispering in the other employees ears looking over at my girlfriend and I and then proceeded to take three other large families of kids behind us when they were more than equipped to take care of our order and get us out the door quickly why we stood there for almost 45 minutes I am just lost for words and furthermore why they do not have name tags is also a very big mystery to me something is very broken over there and somebody really needs to step in and take some authority its ridiculous already

Delicious ice cream, nice environment. A little too cold (temperature)... its finally summer after all... its uncomfortable to get to a place and feel that suddenly its winter again... and we are dressed for summer. Music could be little softer, too... But the retro style of the place is nice, and the lady who prepared my banana split did a great job! :)

Love this place and all the kids that work there, they all put up with a lot of rude people there. Then i see people complain about the kids being rude, all these kids go to school and work ,do extra for school . They do get tired...Then have to put up with people not wanting to put on a mask ,using foul language at them them if they are not 100 % perfect.. Maybe you also should not be rude or judge they are only kids starting out in the world...Or maybe its you.

I had an amazing experience last night! I came in with my two kids and we were waited on by a tall kid with drawn on eyebrows (which were absolutley stunning) and he made sure we had an amazing experience! The sundaes we asked for looked absolutley amaxing and they were delicious. I could not have asked for a better experience and the coustomer service he provided was the absolute best. I will be coming back again, thank you for an amaxing night!

When we stopped in it was VERY busy. I liked the older feel of the building. The ice cream was good and it was not a long wait. There was a small stepstool the length of the counter so children could see what was in the case. I do wish that there were signs in the front area saying where bathrooms were. Otherwise it was great to get ice cream and then walk the small park right next door.

Great little dairy bar with tons of ice cream flavors and also a good selection of food ! My husband got the Willy burger and fries. I got the Union Dairy burger and sweet potato fries which came with a great dipping sauce. We topped it off w/ ice cream. Great service as well. The girls were working hard to keep up ! 5/5!

Today was after the phase 4 reopen. While the icecream was still great as usual. The atmosphere was ruined by the guy behind the counter. I realize we are still in a time of social distancing. But there are better ways to handle yourself then barking at people.

We have been coming here since I was a kid (many years) and are never disappointed. It is a must stop while we are in town. The staff is well trained even on cruise night. The line was out the door and down the sidewalk but because they had enough staff and had a system that worked, we were in and out in 15 minutes. The only suggestion I would make is to post the flavors/menu outside so we could decide before we get inside. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Best place to bring the family! The food is good but the sundaes are what you stay for! My favorite is a pretzel sundae with strawberries! Taste just like a dessert I love to make. It is busy on the weekends but it is located right next to a nice park so you can take your ice cream and enjoy your treat on a bench in the park!

Want to time warp back to the golden days of the 1950s? This place is definitely one of the best places Ive seen, from the ice cream freezers, to the low elongated counter to the steel fixtures, its got it all! Excellent ice cream selection and good burgers make this an excellent family venue or date night. Dont miss the cheese curds as well! Definitely not a place for the weight watcher crowd though.

Great small-town ice cream shop. Ice cream is good, not great except for some of the occasional seasonal flavors. Cool 50s-60s style diner experience. We make the 30 minute drive from Lake Carroll quite a bit when we want to splurge on some ice cream. I love their coconut ice cream sundae with hot fudge drizzled over the top.

Place is crowded. Customers not wearing masks because store okays no masks. No separate place for to go pickup so required to wade through mask-less group of 6 to pay. Masks should be required. Wont return until masks required. Sorry theres still a pandemic.

Union Dairy is an excellent choice. I have been going there since a child. It has the absolute best ice cream sundaes ever.

I love this place. It has a great soda shop vibe and probably the best ice cream (Cedar Crest) Ive ever had in the U.S.; there are so many flavors to choose from. The sandwiches are yummy as well. The only bad thing is the very small parking lot, but its definitely worth the walk if you have to park down the block.

Really sweet nostalgic place with excellent ice cream. Sit at the beautiful 50s lunch counter and take in the vintage atmosphere. Lots and lots of ice cream options, also American lunch options and fried cheese curds and pickles.

Love the ice cream parlor, owner or managers need to talk to young man about wearing their pants low so everybody can look at his underwear as hes dipping ice cream. And young lady that waited on us gave us too much money back so my husband gave it to her and told her you need to put this back in the cash register.. I know theyre young and early in the season but I believe some need more training..
