Buyer beware. If you shop here youre taking a financial gamble.This is a store I wanted to like and as an avid supporter of small local businesses I had gone out of my way to tell friends and neighbors about the addition of this kitchen supply store to downtown Frederick.My girlfriend bought me a Bodum handheld milk frother for Christmas from the Kitchenette and I was ecstatic to receive it AND know that shed helped a local business. We used it once for our morning coffee and when we tried to use it again it no long worked.I thought, No problem, Ill walk a couple blocks and have this taken care of today. So much better than having to send something back to Amazon or drive all the way to a box store to take care of such a simple problem.I was wrong.I walked to the Kitchenette with the perfectly clean milk frother nestled in its original packaging and was greeted by an employee, Jose. Jose was unsure of how to handle a return (which was surprising in and of itself) and had to call the shop owner. The shop owners message was clear - since you used the product we will no longer return it even for store credit or exchange.I was surprised for a variety of reasons.First, how would you know if an item doesnt work without, essentially, using it?Second, the item new was less than $15.00 - most retail stores wont even call in a manager to process a return for an item of such low value.Three, Jose didnt even apologize for the inconvenience - he wasnt rude but he clearly wasnt equipped with the customer service experience necessary to handle even the most straightforward of returns. I hope he receives a little more training because that is a stressful position to be in.In closing, this shop has lost my business. It is a financial gamble to shop at a store that refuses to exchange a clearly defective product for a new one especially so soon after purchase. Im relieved to know my girlfriend is only out $15.00 and not much, much more.

What a cute store! Theres a little bit of everything as far as kitchen supplies. Some items are tried and true like standard baking pans, while other things were neat little inventions like colorful cooking spoons with handles that prevent the spoon (and whatever sauce is on it) from touching the countertop.

I love this store! The employees are always friendly, and I can have conversations with them without them swooping in and telling me that I need a certain product. They know much about all their products, which is always a plus, and they always tell me to have a nice day. Their prices are very reasonable, considering they are located in Downtown Frederick. Overall, The Kitchenette is a very cool place with all the kitchen essentials I need.

This store is a great addition to downtown Frederick. They have a great selection of quality products, the service is great and the staff is super friendly. I stop by as often as possible. Highly recommended.

I was so pleased with my visit to The Kitchenette today. I met the owner, Marien, and had a very pleasant conversation with her and an overall great shopping experience!

The price was very reasonable. Keep in mind that if youre coming downtown, you are going to have to spend a little more than you are if you go to your local Wal-Mart because of the atmosphere. They had everything I needed and if they didnt, they order it for you! Thank you The Kitchenette!!!
