Originally posted a 5 star review-Super helpful service and my tailored shirts are gonna look amazing but since then Ive been called back and told I was given the wrong price (that I already paid for up front) and they werent tailoring my shirts until I paid triple what I originally paid. In addition to already having paid for the service I still have the quote saying what I would get and its price in writing, but Eric wont honor it suggested I was a liar and said if I actually had a quote in writing the employee who earned the 5 star review originally was in big trouble. Plus he said I had to go talk to the original employee myself to work things out placing the moral burden of choosing between if an employee gets punished for doing a good job or not or getting the price quoted and paid for.Final update, I spoke with the original employee intending on just retrieving my shirts and going elsewhere, he checked the system again and the quote he had given me was correct, he had Eric come look at the system and he very begrudgingly admitted that was so.If you go here I strongly suggest working with anyone other then Eric.

Not much to say about the place... Customer service was okay, and I was greeted when I walked in.I asked if they had any cologne, and they told me that they had a few to look at... The price wasnt posted, and I asked them if there were any samples or if I could see what they smelled like.I was then told, that they dont offer a way for you to smell them, before you buy them.... So, as you can expect, I didnt buy anything.

Wow. Walked in, needed stuff ASAP for a wedding reception tomorrow. It was definitely a last minute thing. I can’t remember the employee or salesman’s name (younger guy, had like a tan suit on) but he was awesome! He found me pants, a shirt and ties within like 15 mins. I hate shopping so it worked out perfectly. Seriously if the service is like this all the time, I will be a customer for life! Definitely coming back in for a suit very soon. Thank you!

I loved my experience at Jos A. Bank. I went in to buy a suit and all of the employees were very attentive and eager to help, without being pushy. We worked with Eric and he was both knowledgeable and charismatic, leaving us feeling very at ease and confident. Highly recommend this for a place to get a great suit.

I just had a fantastic experience here. I called and someone immediately picked up. They answered all of my questions and I told them that I would be there after a couple of hours. When I got there the same guy that I called helped me out and was nothing but grateful to be helping me. I am very pleased with how they treat their customers here. And lets just say that it was a very nice experience so of course I felt comfortable and happy to buy my tuxedo from them.If you do end up going here, ask for Jared. He was a big reason for the 5 stars in this reveiw.

Everyone here was super pushy. I felt like no one was listening to me, or my opinion and that I was just one more person that would give them money. They are more focused on selling than helping. The guy who marked my suit to get tailored missed a whole bunch of things leaving my suit baggy when I got it back. Unimpressed we headed over to mens wearhouse where they actually had a tailor who knew what she was doing. Much better service there. Overall Id give them a 1.5.

The service is spectacular here! Very calm and little to no pressure, with sales all the time! Super high quality suits and shirts, but the only problem was that my suit wasnt pressed when I recieved it, although they said it would be. All other ways, I would reccomend going!

Fantastic service today from Jacosta. This was my first suit buying experience so I was a little intimidated, but he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and did not pressure me to spend more than I wanted. In fact, he applied extra coupons even after the low quoted price. I would recommend, especially to someone who needs a little guidance!

We went in to get my husbands wedding suit two months before the wedding. We went back twice to get it tailored, and it still had the same problems as before. The guys that were there were not helpful and I felt they didn’t care about what we wanted. I don’t believe somebody is actually tailoring the suits. Would not recommend

My boyfriend just bought a custom suit from here. The service was excellent and the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable to ask any questions we had. We had never bought a custom suit before so this was a new experience for us. We were very well taken care of and their top priority was to make sure we were satisfied. They didnt try talking us into buying something we were not interested in. They listened to what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend and were very helpful about getting us the right suit for my boyfriend. We will definitely be going back.

I went in there to buy a suit for my wedding and they were already helping customers so I didnt expect help for a bit, I understand being busy. I looked around the suits for a bit and one of them looked at me and told me what my suit size would be without even measuring. He said to look around and hed be back. Well he never came back. I had a few suits picked out but no help. I went over to look at their sweaters and he was putting things away while a few others were in the back doing work I am sure. He saw me and came and asked me if I found some and I said yes and he walked me over to the suits again but stopped at the cashier and blew me off once again.It was an overall horrible horrible experience. I had problems with them before but I had coupons and figured that maybe the price would be worth it. However, no price is worth being treated like you are not valued and that you are wasting their time by being there. I kept getting brushed off while customers who came in after me were getting help. I would recommend never shopping here!

They have really nice suits and frequently have good deals on them. The staff is really nice and helpful and answered all of my questions. Id definitely recommend them.I just have two issues with them however. Both minor, but worth mentioning.First, they never called me. I always had to call them. I bought three suits during a sale they were doing, but I had to special order one of the suits into the store then go back to get fitted for it. I had to call twice over a couple of days to see if it was in. I again had to call to find out if the suits were ready to be picked up.Second, they say it takes about 2 weeks to tailor their suits. This isnt a problem and I was fine waiting. The thing that kind of bugged me was that since I had to wait a week to get fitted for my third suit, they told me that all 3 would be ready 2 weeks later that. Thus, I got all 3 suits 3 weeks after purchasing them. If they wanted to make an excellent impression, they would have rushed the 3rd suit so that all 3 would be ready within the 2 weeks after the initial purchase.

Having major problems with all my colored traveler shirts. They fray out on the collars or front seam within 6 months, however, their white shirts hold up great dont fray. I went to the store in Provo and they said that this is a common problem and not to use fabric softeners. No mention was given of this concern when I purchased the shirts nor was there. any settlement offered by the store manager for the problem.

I walked in and no-one acknowledged my existence. An older employee saw me and ducked away. A minute later, another customer walked in (who apparently looked more sophisticated than myself) and the previously mentioned employee reemerged to help him. I guess that older customers $60 was more valuable than the money I was willing to spend on a suit. Finally a salesclerk came over only to tell me they didnt have anything near the suit I was looking for. Had the younger employee not been as cordial as he was I would have given them a 1 star.

I came in, by referral, looking for a very specific shirt. I wanted something with French Cuffs, 14.5 neck and 33/34 arms. My salesman quickly found the ONE shirt in the store that worked. I was stoked! I asked to try it on, and he said, well, if you try it on, Ill have to re-package it, so let me see if I can find something similar. After a minute, he came back with a 15.5 neck and 35 arms. Needless to say, it didnt fit. He then tried to bump me to a more expensive shirt, that would fit my needs better.I left, went to the Traverse Mountain Outlets and wound up buying over $200 in work clothes. I would have loved to work with JoS. A. Bank, but it didnt seem like they really wanted to earn my business...

Ive shopped Joseph A.Banks on three occasions. Each time I came way completely satisfied. The staff was helpful but not excessively so. The store runs, nearly continuous, sales and all are not equal. Watch the ads for the best prices.

So customer service is a big deal in this business, and to be honest it can be a nit hit or miss at this store. Ive been there several times and usually things are OK, today was actually a big hit! Long story short, I couldnt find a pair of pants for a suit and I believe I left them at the store. They somehow found another pair of pants in my exact size and the same color and pattern (theory is they got switched with someone else who had the same suit). Anyways they are tailoring the pants for free, with an extra quick turn around. This experience shows that they care about doing the right thing, even when they arent necessarily earning a commission, which is why I give them 5 stars! The quality of the suits are decent, but if you are wise, shop sales, and look for promotions you can land a stellar deal. I got 2 traveler suits for $55 each a few months ago!

The service was unbelievably terrible, the worst Ive ever seen. An Im-hot-stuff attitude teenager who was supposed to be working there was very rude and condescending to me, rolling his eyes and telling me how wrong it was for me to want a pair of pants let out by a centimeter. When I went back to pick up the pants a few days later, I was left to try on the pants and totally abandoned. When I finally got tired of waiting for the guy to come back and went looking for him, I found him watching YouTube with his feet on the service desk. To top it all off, the adjustments for newly purchased items isnt included in the original price. You have to pay above and beyond the cost of the suit to get anything that actually fits you. NEVER GO HERE, THIS PLACE IS TRASH.

Completely unhelpful staff. They were all more occupied with re stocking the store than helping us. We had to ask to be helped upon waking in and wandering around for a bit. Then the associate helping us walled away about ten times, not offering suggestions, not helping at all. Even after making up our minds, we had to go find him. Then their incredible deal that got us in there kept piling up. Oh the price on the hanger was just for the jacket. You want pants too? Extra hundred and eighty dollars. Oh you need that suit tailored? Extra sixty dollars. And you dont find this out till you are AT THE REGISTER. Never going back.

Jonathan was great at helping my Father and I find suits for my wedding. He was kind, and helped us immediately upon us walking in. All in all, I give Jonathan 5 stars. The only part that displeased us was that the Alterations for the suit were not included in the price for the suit itself.

I was very concerned when I learned my sons wedding party decided to get our suits from Jos A. Banks. I have not heard of anyone having a good experience with them. We ended up going with custom suits thinking they would less be difficult to mess up, I was wrong.I was the one who had to call and ask if they had come in and were ready for altering, and of course they had. I am not sure why a simple call couldnt have been made by them. My son and I went in together for our alterations and when I put on my pants, They were about 3-4 small in the waist. Very frustrating that a custom suit could be miss-measured by that much. Of course it went back in to be corrected.I received a call that my pants were ready and that I could come in to be measured for my alterations. Tuesday 4/2/2019, I received a call that they were ready for me to pick them up.Yesterday my wife and I picked up my suit however, I didnt have time to try them on while I was there. When I got home after several other errands, I finally pulled the suit out to try on. It seemed strange to me that I had two pairs of pant on my hanger. Not thinking, I pulled off a pair and tried them on and of course they were the original pair that were two small. The crazy thing is, they we hemmed. I felt like they gave those to me in case or in hopes that of I lose weight, I could still have a pair of pants.When I tried the real pants on, they were about 3 inches too long and it looked horrible. I immediately called the store and informed them of the problem, all I was told was, oh, I guess you will have to come back.They guessed wrong, I will find an alteration shop and pay to have them correctly fixed.******I WOULD AVOID Jos. I love Jos A Banks as much as the next guy but this location is terrible! Ive walked in here on several occasions but this past time will probably be my last. There were 3 sales guys standing there just staring at my wife and I when we walked through the door... No greeting, no smiles... A salesman finally came over after a few minutes and asked what I was looking for. I told him your dress shirts. He pointed to them (Id already found them of course) and said there they are. Poor guy just lost an easy sale and a customer.

I rarely write negative reviews, however, the service I received here was not top quality like I would have expected from Jos A. Bank...While the two guys that helped me pick out my wedding suit were cool and friendly my main issue was with the tailor who was going to adjust my suit.First of all, she didn’t speak English that well and could not communicate which made me feel hesitant to even trust her in the first place.I think it was mainly her lack of communication and explanation that bothered me... she seemed to only want to do what she wanted to do rather than listening to me and letting me tell her what I was hoping for.I could tell she didn’t know what she was doing and didn’t want to let her do it but ended up having her try to adjust the suit anyways because I felt pressure to.I got the suit back and, just as expected, the fit was sub par.. the exact spots that I knew she didn’t listen to me on were the same spots that did not fit my body shape at all.I will not be coming back here to have any clothing tailored and I would warn anyone against using this tailor here.

They have very high quality suits and often have big sales going on. But be careful about the hidden costs. Every little part of the suit you have tailored will be 10-15 $ more, which added up to $60 at the end. And they wont tell you that until the very end. I was disappointed by that aspect.

Not very professional when it comes to accomplishing the date agreed to return the suit after the alterations. They’ve had 2 weeks and a half to do mine, they gave me a day by when it would be done, never recieved a call and when I called they said the suit will have the alteration done the same day and would be sent to Provo first thing in the morning. Lie. I call two days after and they tell me the same thing I was told the first time “I talked to the tailor and said your suit will be done today and we will send it to Provo first thing in the morning.”. Not happy with their customer service. Terrible. It’s been almost a over 3 weeks since I bought my suit and still waiting.

I’ve bought suits from Jos A Bank back in 2013, and enjoyed the suits quite a lot. Great quality, great fit, and professional service. I wore them extensively from 2014-2016 with the line of work i was doing, and they held up very well. As a birthday gift, my parents wanted to buy me two new suits. I came to this store excited to buy them, since I was in dire need of new ones. My previous experience with Jos A Bank brought me back to buy from them again.This time, however, I was quite disappointed because of the customer service. The reason it gets two stars instead of one is because of Andrew the assistant manager. I don’t know if the decline in customer service from my previous experience was due to the buyout of Men’s Wearhouse, this particular store itself, or the combination thereof.I find two suits on their father’s day deal that I liked, but they didn’t have my size so they have to be shipped in. Fine, no problems there. Andrew, the assistant manager, shows good customer service by removing $50 to cover taxes. Very grateful for that and the experience of Jos A Bank I expected. A little over a week after the suits were ordered, I didn’t receive a call from the store so I showed up and asked in person. The two employees there seemed a bit in disarray with lots of tasks to juggle. My suits were there (and had been there for a couple days), and got them marked up to be altered. Got a ticket stub from their card as a receipt with a promise date of July 7th for completion.July 7th comes and I decide to call instead of taking a gamble of showing up this time to see if my suits were in. Call the store and get put on hold for 5 minutes. Get informed that the suits won’t be in until Tuesday, July 10th. Not fine since it’s been 3 weeks to complete the alterations, but I wasn’t in a hurry to get them so can’t complain too much. Tuesday comes, and I show up after 5pm as the ticket stub instructs for pickup time. Again, feeling like taking a gamble showing up in the store instead of calling, but showing up in person seems to get things moving better and getting clearer answers. Wait at the counter for a little bit, and get informed by an employee that my suits aren’t finished yet but will be at 8:30pm that evening. Apparently 3 weeks wasn’t enough. Come back at 8:30pm. Still not finished and a lady in the back was finishing up the alterations. Told to come back in 25 minutes. Andrew credits me back half the costs of the alterations for the trouble, which I greatly appreciate. At this point, however, I’m concerned about the quality of the alterations since it appears that they’re rushing to complete the job. Come back 25 minutes later, get the suits, and takeoff. I didn’t bother trying them on since they were closing soon and I’ve been there longer than I wanted sitting in the courtyard outside for almost a half hour. Get home and pull the suits out of the bag and notice the pants for one of the suits is missing. Awesome. Call the store and Andrew picks up the phone after hours. He was informed that I had picked up the suit pants earlier (????). He goes and checks after I told him I don’t have them and finds the pants in the back of the store. Now I have to come in to pick up the pants.Now, I don’t want to sound like a snobby and inconsiderate customer, but it’s remarkable to see the stark contrast of customer service I’ve received from Jos A Bank over the years. While a $1,000 suit may be considered cheap to some people, that’s still quite a bit of money to most. Spending that much money you would expect some element of professionalism. Apparently a month isn’t long enough to ship in two suits and get them altered, and it was rather shocking to see them rush the last portions of the job bringing concerns of quality. I’m not going to point blame at specific people since I do not know if it’s the particular store’s fault with the constant mistakes and delays or if it’s further upstream in the firm itself.I’m still happy about the suits, and I do appreciate Andrew for his willingness to mitigate the issues.

I just got back from JoS. A. Bank on University. There were three associates, none of them helped me until I approached them. Their Customer Service is awful. Even when I asked for help, they were indeed not helpful. One, told me incorrect sale information, so I wasted my time looking through product. After that, the one older manager (whom I thought would be helpful was certainly not). I wanted to try some shirts on. He didnt want to unpin shirts to try on, so he looked for some already unpinned. (I dont want to try on a shirt similar to what I might get, I want to try on THE one I am considering getting. After not finding an unpinned one, he resorted to a pinned...He asked me which one I wanted to get. I thought that strange, because I didnt know, THUS WHY I WANTED TO TRY THEM ON! He asked because he didnt want to unpin a shirt I wouldnt get. As he started to unpin one, I confirmed with him that a certain sale was going on (repeating what was told to me from the prior associate. He said, the info I provided was wrong. He stopped right there unpinning the shirt, put it on the shelf of his back room and walked away. I was so confused that he left attending to me in the back room. I felt pretty uncomfortable and it made me feel as though I wasted his time. Why did he leave? Why is he not helping me? He walked away from while talking to me several times and was not polite at all. I have been to JoS. A. Bank several times before, many times it seems they hire college students who do not know anything about the business...clearly. I can go to JC PENNYs and get shirts that will last, for a third of the price, and the Customer Service is way better...and so I will start doing that. I am never going back.
