Cute little place. Eclectic and original. They had books and board games to choose from and some gift items to purchase. Not a large menu but was quick and inexpensive. Enjoy my experience.

My boyfriend and I went here when we were in the area for the weekend, and I cannot wait to come back the next time were in Kentucky. This place is adorable, and both the food and coffee were delicious and super affordable. Highly recommend stopping in this cute neighborhood!

Great atmosphere lovely staff , delicious pastries and coffee. One of the very few places thats open Sunday evening. When we get there the lady was working alone, she had to take orders, make foods and drinks serve and clean up. It was a big line but she handled it great. Highly recommended

Incredible spot to stop and grab a hot (or cold) drink and some really good food!The staff are always friendly and accommodating and the business is very Covid-cautious. They even brought in a fire pit to warm up patrons that want to stick around and done or drink outside.Cannot recommend them highly enough! (Also, try the Bourbon Apple Cider. Youre welcome.) 🥃

My son and I stopped by for a snack break during our Pokemon hunt. I love the atmosphere, and how there is a door that opens into Poor Richards Bookstore.The food was great, as was the coffee.For the Pokemon Go players, theres a gym and several pokestops in the area.

I had egg & cheese croissant w/added bacon. Wife had the egg baby breakfast burrito. Both were extremely tasty and relatively inexpensive.

I love the drinks here. The chicken salad is really good too! The soups of the day are fun and enjoyable.

Adorable, cozy, quality classic coffee shop with an intelligent yet chill vibe with top notch beverages, delicious food, and attentive service. This was our first visit and made a special visit to Frankfort just to dine here. We ordered breakfast sandwiches, soup, pastries, beverages, and took whole beans home for later. My chai latte was extra creamy with the perfect amount spice & sweetness, and the scones are to die for!! Imagine pillows of buttery dough spiked with juicy specks of fruit- I couldnt decide between the 3 varieties and ordered them all. I still cant decide which is best 😂

They have really good coffee, especially their Ethiopian blend. IMO way better than Starbucks. Food is a lil pricey for me though, but it does look good.

Great breakfast burritos! Service was top notch and welcoming. Hot sauce was legit, bought a few bottles. Great coffee and everything all round!

Always a friendly and fun atmosphere. Excellent selection of coffees and food. Bourbon Egg Nog is really good.The live music is always good.Lots of books to read if you want and a selection of stringed instruments on the wall if your so inclined to play one.WiFi can be spotty but its still decent 90% of the time. 😊

I found this gem by mistake! This is truly one of those spots where wonderful staff and service meets good coffee. The little cafe is adjacent to a bookstore and shop with great book selections and gifts. Don’t miss it when I’m Frankfort!

This place was so cool! Downtown Frankfort is big and very nice. This cafe offers many unique sandwich, wrap, and breakfast options along with their full cafe, and even a Tiki bar?! There are lots of books and a section where it looks like love music happens. Both sides are open to the shops nextdoor. Everything was very tasty. Staff was very nice and attentive.

I have had inconsistent service here before, but overall it is a must stop in Frankfort. Its a beautiful view!

I loved the welcoming atmosphere. The sandwich I ordered was well prepared and reasonable. I loved the closeness of the performers which made us all feel we were being entertained in our own living room. Mary and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return.

Breakfast is good as well as the brewed coffee. However, the lattes are not it. Tried a few and did not care for any. Atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting.Also, please fix your Google hours to match the new covid hours

One of my favorite places to hang out in Downtown Frankfort. Great coffee and great пива. Weather one one sitting out on the street with friend or huddled with a hot coffee and book, this is the place to be in Frankfort. Today I enjoyed great live music while I had a wonderful dinner and cold drink. Hats off.

Its an amazing place, but the reason I gave a 4 stars rating is because the tables are wabbled. It was hard to study with my friend because of it. Other than that the place is pretty great. Yes service, atmosphere, and snacks are all to be enjoyed

Quaint , skinny , historic building. Friendly people and a laid back atmosphere. Had live musicians there playing guitars and singing oldies but goodies. A comfortable place to unwind .

I stopped in to get a coffee on my way to an interview. The service was great and the coffee was the best Ive had outside of Philadelphia (white mocha with almond milk). I enjoyed it so much I stopped for lunch on my way back to my car! Highly recommend

A wonderful cozy café to get all sorts of drinks and a few snacks from. The smoothies are delicious and so are the fresh coffees they brew! I will definitely stop in the next time Im in Frankfort!

First time, visiting Frankfort KY, and so glad I found this cafe. Friendly people, both patrons and employees, and so helpful with us being new to the area. Carmel Latte is perfect. Temperature, flavor, and good blend. Well definitely come back and highly recommend this cafe.

The Pizza here is the best Ive ever had in the state of Kentucky! (Largest pizza - ultimate w/ extra cheese)The bar and its patrons are really laid back individuals and are a blast to hang out with, let alone their beer prices are reasonable.Well worth coming too and hanging out at!

Good local coffee shop. Prices are a little high for the sizes, but unfortunately with so many big companies the local businesses have to have a higher price. The staff have always been friendly when I have visited, and at the holidays you can get boozy hot cocoa or eggnog, and who doesnt love that! I recommend you check them out if in town. Chill with a cup of coffee and a book that you just bought from Poor Richards Bookstore next door 😉

Great building and atmosphere. Place very busy and maybe that’s the problem.Food counter, floor and even the tip jar filthy. Afternoon after noon meal sickfrom chicken salad. Makes me wonder about counties’ health dept. In FayetteCounty (Lexington) health rating would and must be posted and if conditions poorbusiness cited with info printed in local newspaper.

Funky little place with a great looking menu. Barista did a fabulous job making sure I got the exact drink I wanted. Met someone there for a chat and never felt rushed.

Terrible place the sandwich That was serviced had the hardest bread reminded me more of a cracker not and type of bread I’ve ever had and the menu online is nowhere near what they have available an the blender was down so no frozen drinks. I ask for a water the man at the counter turned around and started filling the cup up with water that he was earlier doing dishes with... do not recommend for anyone...

The coffee is rather sub-par and they messed up my order then got a bit irritated that I brought it to them. It isnt very clean and the sandwich was very cold.

I would give this place 3 stars if it were a cafe based on the setting and the food. But when you have the word coffee in your name and your cappuccino tastes like coffee flavored milk you get one star. Quite possibly the nastiest cappuccino I have ever tasted. Absentee ownership at its finest.

Really love this place. They have really good hot chocolate. We usually come and get out a board game and have some coffee while we play. Great atmosphere. Have a bluegrass jams once a week for part of the year.

I am pretty basic when it comes to my coffee but you dont come to a place like this for the coffee so much as the atmosphere, which it has a lot of. Open doors with the neighbors leads for a good environment. The view on the street is good as well. Dont get me wrong, the food and drinks are good but this is more of a community gathering hub as it is a business.

Poetry reading was interesting but not my style. Of the 3 coffees we bought this evening, we disliked then all. One flavor was maple and spice coffee -- never again. It would have been better to pour over pancakes instead if drinking as coffee.

My first time and it was a good experience. They had a decent selection of house coffees and the price for a large is very reasonable. My only complaint was how loud it was. The other customers were making so much noise that I had trouble hearing the other person at my table. Other than that it was a nice place and I would recommend it to anyone.

I love this place. I have favorite bookstores, but this one is my favorite, favorite bookstore. I like browsing through the attic, where the old books are, in order to find some gems. I like that there are new books downstairs, so I can have the both of book worlds. Poor Richard’s is connected to Kentucky Coffeetree Cafe by the inside so it is fun going back and forth through this magical door. At the café I love their chocolate mousse. It is small, but it has all the chocolate bang for the buck. I am going to make sure and call ahead of time to make sure I have one when I get there the next time. Books and chocolate, how could you go wrong?

I drive almost an hour, twice a month to visit Frankfort and Kentucky Coffeetree. The best homemade desserts. The molasses cookies are the best ever!

I asked the barista to make a complicated drink and she absolutely nailed it. I was impressed! Thank you.As far as the atmosphere, it’s quaint.It’s the kind of ma and pop atmosphere that one would appreciate.The reason i am giving two stars is due to the service.The See ice was horribly slow for myself and everyone in front of me.We have to wait thirty minutes to get our order taken and to receive it.Two women were behind the counter.We visited on a Sunday.We ordered two drinks and two two sandwiches and our order totaled up to $32.00.The total surprised me compared to anywhere else I go. For these two reasons alone, I will not be visiting again.

Coffee is GREAT! Service is very gentle and nice. It may take a minute to get your stuff and you can tell they are not Starbucks (where they are trained to sling coffee like its nobodies business), but it feels like every cup is made gently and with love. Very cool place to come and enjoy a peaceful quiet evening.

My friend calls it the Meetingplace of Frankfort-- its got a great & convenient location downtown, with a cozy environment and a sick menu. I havent had a ton of their food, but I really like their fruit smoothies. Whether youre just picking something up or are looking to meet with someone, the Coffeetree is a great spot! I also believe they have a jam session one night a week and other live music? Not sure of the schedule since I only visit occasionally, but definitely more reason to scope it out yourself!

Lovely place for a warm calming Frankfort Fog drink, spicey bowl of bean soup and comforting (chocolate bomb!) dessert on this cold Autumn afternoon. Seeing friends & neighbors, musical instruments being picked up and played, kids, computers and a chatty knitting circle all made the Kentucky Coffee Tree a welcoming toasty treat today!

I have always loved this place. Bookstore on one side, Kentucky local business in the other. Great coffees, great baristas, snacks, wine choices. Been a few times around different times of year. Winter is always my favorite bc I can never decide on coffee, tea, cocoa, chocolate or soup. The smell of the book store is always a favorite of mine as well.

There is a nice variety of drinks, especially coffee, and food that is served there. The food has always been great and well as the service. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxing, and homey with a choice of table seating or grouped lounge chairs.
