A neat little shop with all kinds of chocolates. The service was great and the staff was kind.. Got one package of bourbon chocolate sea salted carmels and wish I would have gotten two!! They were so good. If Im around the area again I will be stopping in again

I would give them 5 stars but the bourbon balls need some bourbon in them. They dont put near the amount they used to. Ive eaten enough of them over the years to know. However, they do sell lots of other candy that looked delicious and Im sure they are. It was worth the visit though.

I love the care that is taken in the shop to serve the returning customers for these sweets & great American made gifts. I cant help but stop by each I am passing through. Marsha is the sweetest woman ever & Jims care for his customers is the finest!

Candy was amazing. However unless you brought a cooler with you then pass on by. There is no way to keep it from melting if you are seeing the sites and no option to ship it.The store owner noted that shipping was an option. We asked the store manager about that and she had no option for us. Hopefully this will be easier for future customers.

Pricey, but worth it. Got a couple of different kinds, including the Bourbon Collection, which was a nice sampling. I’d stick with the classic. Stopped by on our way back to Virginia. Currently enjoying them while watching the UGA/UT Sugar Bowl.

First time trying the famous bourbon balls and they were amazing!!! Was greeted by Marsha great hospitality, she even gave us a sample and the back story of this fine establishment. Will be returning because of quality of this fine gem. Thank you Marsha 🙂

I am 58 years old and Ive never been to Rebecca Ruth Candy Store. I stopped today and I met a man by the name of Creed Huff and he gave me a tour of the store and free samples, very nice. I highly recommend a stop at this place. Depending on how old you are if youre older you may remember the huge Jawbreakers well they have those. Lemon drops, all kinds of alcoholic candles, with free samples, you cant beat it, LOL. Very nice place and very friendly

The candy available is absolutely delicious. Chocolates are very rich and melt as soon as they hit your tongue. We spent over $100 and had every kind of candy possible. Our favorites were the bourbon balls, raspberry truffles, coconut chocolates and fruit slices. Oh and cannot forget the jawbreakers or lemon heads!! We will definitely return with all the kiddos!

Rebecca Ruth Candies has some of the BEST candy that is made! I do like it better than Godiva Chocolates. You can actually pick and choose a few of this a few of that to make up a box of whatever you want. They make their candies in their factory located in the original store downtown on Ann Street. They are most known for their Rebecca Ruth Bourbon Balls. My Momma, God Bless her, made Bourbon Balls like Rebecca Ruth; maybe a little stronger, LOL!!!My favorite is The Kentucky Colonel. Wonderful Creme de Mint Covered in Pure Chocolate with a Salted Pecan on Top. 😋Their main store has all types of things to make gift baskets to take or send. As does their other smaller stores. The store I went to coming in from Versailles, had the sweetest, cutest, older man. He was so kind and patient when I was describing what the candy was that I loved. He knew exactly! Took a dish out of the refrigerator and offered me a piece. I almost jumped for joy!!!Rebecca Ruth can wrap boxed candies as gifts. They will mail them for you anywhere. It is such a neat store.

GREAT bourboun chocolate! Traveler trinkets and nice Kentucky gifts. Chocolates of various kinds, each one better than the last. There are no bad choices of confectionery treats to be found. Small, owner operated store but worth the stop.

Never again... A group of school children had toured the Capital. We wanted to end on a sweet note. Ha!! Check to see if they are making candy before you go. We went and all machines were turned off. No candy was being made. Our tour lady didnt know much about what happens in the candy business. Others in the group were asking questions that our tour guide didnt have answers to. If this was a free tour, I might not comment, but I had to PAY for walking through a non working kitchen and be led by someone who didnt know details about the history of the facility. In the end, after paying for a lousy tour, I got a free bourbon ball and then had the opportunity to pay a truckload of money for candy that supposedly was made there. Glad thats over...

Wide variety of chocolates at reasonable prices! Lots of Kentucky-themed souvenirs/collectibles/jewelry as well. Parking lot is small and on a busy (at least when I was there) road so make sure you give yourself enough time to browse the store and then wait for an opening to get back on the road!

I love Rebecca Ruth Candies and have for been a client since the 80s. They have the absolute best bourbon balls around. If you are buying for personal consumption, ask for a bag of boo boos, save a few dollars but still get 100% quality.

Very welcoming, warm, friendly staff. Their products excellent, prices reasonable, they offer fresh samples for tasting, I was very impressed. A definite place to visit while visiting Woodford County horse country.

If you love Rebecca Ruth Bourbon Balls (as I do) and want a bargain, ask for a bag of the boo-boos - these taste exactly like the bourbon balls but are slightly mis-shapen.Since they are considered seconds, they cost less but are still completely delicious.

We stopped by here on the way to the Woodford distillery. They have their own burbon balls to sample. They also had marker mark, Buffalo Trace and Evan Williams burbon balls. They have lots of other chocolates including a burbon truffle and caramel. Lots of home made fudge and jewelery items. I really liked the burbon truffles.

Stopped by the retail store today for the first time in eons. Rebecca Ruth was the expensive and coveted candy of my childhood. No more! Its still quite expensive...a lb is between $23 and $30+. The chocolate creams (of various flavors) were flat and gritty, not creamy smooth as once upon a time. The salt water taffy was straight from WalMart...I know thats so because I have bought several bags of WM taffy and recognized every color and flavor without exception. Steer clear of everything but pure RR candies and chocolates...and only then if you want to sort of experience what was once the best. The caramel-covered marshmallows were still very, very good...and the creamed candy was also very nice. I did not spring for a full lb. I settled for 1/2 lb of chocolates and a few caramels plus a very small bag of the taffy to confirm my suspicions. The gentleman waiting on me was lovely...the candy looked delicious...but much of it has really gone done in quality. Some of their uber-expensive specialty candies such as bourbon candy might still be good. But if youre just wanting creams, chocolate toffee, etc., this isnt the place anymore...and that makes me very sad. :(

The worst service ever. Sales people Ken and Vivian were sour and unhelpful. When asked questions about the product, they responded with vague answers and seemed not wanting talk at all to the customers. I have been to the Versailles store twice and the Frankfort store twice. Usually the service is friendly and helpful.

No tour, you have to go to the actual house downtown but really good bourbon balls if you are in the area
