Definitely a clean and neat store. Nice location too.But the person who helped us (looked like owner) can definitely use some training in customer service and communications - Barely even a smile and zero help in bagging groceries. There was no other customers waiting behind me and still the person seemed least interested in helping anyone.

Well Stocked, you can get any Indian groceries... just name it, you can get utensils also. Dairy items are also okay. staff is fine. Never buy meat from this store. Sometimes they extend the expiry date but meat is not fresh. One day we got rotten chicken however expiry date was later. Price is okay. Thanks

If pets aren’t allowed inside, have a board that says that. Update your Google Maps and Yelp profiles to reflect that, and don’t shame customers after they visit because you want to arbitrarily enforce policies, and that too after we are done with the shopping.Very disrespectful and rude - never coming back here again

Recently, their supply chain seems to be facing some challenges. Most things that we used to get easily even after shelter-in-place orders, have not been available for past 2 months.Interestingly some of the other Indian stores in bay area dont seem to have the same supply issue. But when things are normal, they are pretty well stocked with quality stuff.Their fresh veggies are best in the area.

Big samosas have potato inside that are still not cooked and you can taste and smell the raw spices. I got smaller samosas to check if they are same but to my surprise the potatoes were cooked in the small ones. Also, the cook is not wearing gloves and mask. No prices on most of the items on the shelves. Not friendly towards customer.

Live in Belmont. Go there for the food that is served in the kitchen. It is totally worth the drive for me. The kadhi and shahi paneer are always a hit in my family. The cashiers will ring you up 30-70 cents extra for items than what’s listed on the tag. Keep an eye out when they’re checking you out. Little things like that add up and they get you for a few bucks every time you shop. I’ve started to notice they do it every time I go there.

It is a good shop. But I feel quality of their kitchen is not good. Why is there a giant bowl full of kadhi at 8 PM. I am not sure if it is recycled next day. Kadhi should not be.Portions are weird and random dependant on who is pouring. medium sized 4.99 bowl had 6-7 balls of kofta while small bowl for 2.99 had only two.Billing is prompt and shop is clean

A bit difficult to find items, as it was our 1st time there. Clerk would tell us which aisle number, but the aisle do not have numbers. Products are not organized or separated. Also prices are not marked on products. That I do not like at all. Reason for two stars, is I did find items I went in for, but it took 40 minutes to get 7 items.

I am big fan of India Cash and carry(Sunnyvale), was excited when this store opened in Foster city. It does not provide the same experience as the others. The prices of items here are much more expensive, they do not put price tags on all the items, the food is average and did not find all the items I needed in the store.Unless they reduce prices and up their game, it will not be as successful. Would prefer Namaste Plaza or even the small India spices and grocery on East Hillsdale which gives 5% cash back. Also, the way the owners are reacting to reviews, makes me want to avoid this place.

Today I had my worst customer experience at India Cash & Carry, Foster City 94404.We were so happy when India Cash & Carry was opened in Foster City. They have a kitchen from where you can buy cooked food as well. Initially, they used to give provide chutney with Dahi Vada or Samosa or Pakoda as these dishes are incomplete without chutney and everyone has different tastes- few people like food with more chutney and few with less.Today when I bought Dahi Vada & Samosa, I asked for chutney and they refused in a very bad way saying We do not give chutney and if you want chutney, buy the entire chutney bottle from the store. I have never seen such a greedy approach of a salesperson ever in the USA. If you are giving food service to someone, at-least give it nicely.I asked them to return the Dahi Vada as I knew I wouldnt like the taste without the proper amount of chutney (green & red) in it- like the way I prefer to eat it. I also returned the Samosa for the same reason. I told them I dont like it without chutney and thats why I dont want it now. Listening to this, the guy at the counter (Indian Uncle) gave extremely unwelcoming looks to me and then the entire family started talking about me as if I did some crime which made me very very uncomfortable. I have never seen anyone with so much false ego. I never write reviews but wanted the owners to realize that they should treat customers nicely. More than anything if I am paying for food I expect good service, some respect (at least a smiling face). I was a regular customer but now never going to buy food from them again. I will prefer driving an extra 2 miles to the Belmont store (Namaste Plaza) rather.Just because they have a monopoly here as there is no other Indian store competition in Foster City, doesnt mean they can treat their customers badly. So disappointing.P.S. The Indian Uncle with specs is very frugal.
