Didn’t catch the gentleman’s name because I was fighting 2 kids but if it wasn’t for him and his knowledge , I would’ve bought not only the wrong style helmet BUT also a size too big because I didn’t know how a helmet should properly fit. Customer service was top notch and the atmosphere was awesome .

Popular place to get affordable gear. Full helmets starting at $69.99. I saw some turtle armor for $49.99. Wasn’t looking for myself, but if you need protection from the asphalt, and your budget is more important than your brand, then this is the place. Put the money you save in your gas tank and ride. (With your new gear on, of course!)

Great customer service by Nathan. He always has some tips and tricks he will tell you about if your a new rider or experienced. I took two wheels up there to get new tires put on and balanced. They were done in less than 24 hours.

Another good experience at Cycle Gear. I have been buying gear from this store for years and am always happy with the transaction. When I lost a piece off of my helmet and called about a replacement they checked a box of parts they had and said to just come by and theyd give it to me. They always have knowledgeable answers and I am good with their pricing (yes, online can be even cheaper, but in particular for MC gear I want to directly try it out before buying it). Bought a jacket this last time - very happy.

I’m new to riding and purchased a trail bike. I came in to cycle gear to get a helmet and the selection was great and the staff helped me get fitted and explore options. I was so comfortable I ended up buying all my gear; pants, jacket, gloves and helmet. I’m bad with names but I believe it was Nathan that helped me out and he made sure everything I purchased fit me properly so I am protected on my bike. Purchased a Cardo bluetooth unit from here and wished to install it before my ride home, i had never installed one before so I was a little confused. Robert gave me a place in the store to sit and do it and Jose showed me step by step how to install the unit, above and beyond service all the way!

I had a very great experience with Cycle gear in California but probably not in Texas. I ordered a Michelin tire from them for my motorcycle so i thought i should get it replaced here as well, they committed to give me my wheel back by the end of next business day, i had my motorcycle on jack for days and couldnt commute on it. i waited for call and than went to get it and they said we didnt do it and now we are almost closing we cannot do it you are welcome to take your tire as is. They were not ready to take any responsibility of any commitment they made and than they charged me $45 for changing the tire.

I’m not a motorcyclist (yet), but had signed up for a beginners training course and needed a helmet and gloves and didn’t know where to start. Nathan was very courteous and helpful with answering all of my questions and helping me find the right equipment and making sure it fit properly—and helped me to feel at ease in a new and unfamiliar field. I bought a motor SCOOTER. I dealt with Robert one day. He didnt try to upsell me when my wife and I bought motorcycle jackets. Was very friendly. The next day I went in, told Nathan I had no idea what I was doing, and wanted advice on which gloves to buy. He asked about my riding plans and pointed me to gloves that were much less expensive than those Id picked out. Both times the associates were helpful and friendly. Ill be back for a helmet soon.

Working with the folks at cycle gear has been a real pleasure Im a new rider and trying to work through the gear is somewhat difficult but theyre very very helpful and very informative and the cycle gear policy allows you to make multiple exchanges if things dont fit quite right so I think its a good company ran business and Ill do plenty of business therein the future

Very helpful, just didnt have everything in stock!

Sloppy, poor quality tire balance work. Cycle Gear is not the place to have a tire mounted and balanced. I bought the tire there and dropped the wheel to get the new tire installed. Picked it up the next night, got home and discovered the wheel weights must have been put on by someone they dragged off the street and promised a hot meal. Check out the photo. They left the old adhesive tape on and just stuck the new weights over the top. They didnt even clean the area first. Plus theyre half on / half off. I looked at the other side and its the same way but theres a strip of four. Im pretty sure they should know to split the weights evenly. I took the tire back the next night and showed this Picasso to the manager, who didnt seem to care much but reluctantly agreed to fix it. So, I picked the tire up later and the weights are clean and straight but now theres an additional 1oz of weight (four more segments). That tells me they didnt balance it right the first time. Not feeling confident Cycle Gear got it right I took the tire to another cycle shop and had them check the balance, and it was wrong. Had to pay someone else $20 to get it right. Im still trying to decide if it was shoddy workmanship or sabotage for complaining. If your cycle tires matter to you (and they should since theyre the only thing on your bike touching the road) go somewhere else for tires.

My experience has always been great staff asked if I needed any help and answered any questions I had as best they could.

I bought a new battery and charger for my 2011 Vmax. The price was fair and competitive, service at the counter was good. The guys were friendly and knowledgeable. Would give it a 5 star rating but nothing out of the ordinary happened to warrant it.

Cycle Gear is a known quantity, but the staff here is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They may not always know the answer to your specific questions but they will always do their best to work with you to best figure out the best solution they can offer (in my experience).
