Trusted an Apex Trigger install w/ Winchester on a new FN509. Told the gunsmith to be careful with it because you tube install videos said the pin is hard to get out and the frame can be damaged. He said he did these often. Apex does make a jig that can be used. When I picked it up, I could tell the Gunsmiths punch cosmetically damaged the frame. I wasnt happy, but my mistake, I didnt say anything or contact management. I sent the gun off to have custom work done on it. When I got it back, the damage was accentuated due to changing the frame color. I thought the custom work would take care of the damage. So I took it to another gun smith. He said the Winchester punch went further into the frame than it showed and that they pulled the frame polymer back out to make sure it did not appear as damaged. The frame wasnt ruined though. At this point I had no recourse with Winchester. I did call them to let them know what had happened, and the owner said he would speak with the gunsmith and call me by the end of the week. Never got a call back. I spent more money to cosmetically repair the gun. Its good now, but still not like it should be. Very disappointed. I used to shoot my guns there. Will never go back, nor recommend Winchester.

I was looking for a gen 5 glock 27, which their website says they have. the younger bearded gentleman said they don’t have any, and they might get some sometime and then ignored me to help the pretty women shopping instead, even after i said i was open to other models. i would’ve purchased something comparable. i prefer to shop at small local businesses and don’t mind waiting a week or so for an order to come in, but at least the workers at cabelas or academy will help you.

Took my daughter to shoot a gun for the first time at Winchester Gallery. They were extremely welcoming and Caleb took the time to give my daughter personalized advice on how to properly hold the gun and to sight in the target. In addition, he gave me a sheet explaining why my shots might be hitting left of target. Highly recommend the shoot range and the quality and attentiveness of the staff.

Writing this from the viewpoint of an instructor. They scheduled me easily, my reserved lanes for my class were ready and available when we arrived, they were very pleasant to my students and myself. They got everyone checked in very fast. Will definitely utilize them again for future LTC classes.

The knowledge this staff has about fire arms far exceeds that of any store in the ENTIRE DFW area. Building your own. AR-15 wall full parts. All kinds od scabbards, kydex holsters and so much for. You almost be a fool not to go hear because THE ONE GUARANTEE I can tell you, is youll walk back out learning more than when you came in. I’m definitely a rookie to all of this so can only tell you about making this my first time shooting a hand gun experience. After calling a few local ranges it was obvious coming here and dealing with Caleb was the way to go. I’m taking this seriously and want to be as knowledgeable and responsible as I can be. Caleb answered ALL my questions respectfully over the phone and took as much time as it took to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be when I arrived throughout the whole process. Can’t say anything about the any of the other facets of the business because I’m not there yet in my experience but will definitely update when I am. This morning was my first time at this range. Nice people and relaxed atmosphere. I really enjoyed it.

Everytime we come here the young lady is always pleasant in helping us also the young gentleman always letting us know what inventory they have as well as ammo. Me and my boyfriend enjoy coming here on a typical Sunday for “us” time.

Range has new equipment and new lighting. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. They also provide a team competitive shoot every month. They have everything you need for any level shooting enthusiast.

Went in today to look for a particular gun, only had a selection of about 20 guns for sale in a space bigger than my apartment, none of which were even close to what I was looking for. Employee was lazy and didn’t even want to make eye contact with me. Proceed to tell me to check his store on the web cause they could sell for cheaper and then he doesn’t have to stock a lot of guns. Prices were worse than I’ve seen at any other mainstream gun store (even the online prices). I’m not sure why he couldn’t look them up on the computer (oh wait, he didn’t want to deal with anybody and was lazy af) he had in front him considering I gave him exact specs I was looking for minus a brand. Then I go to look at the site and there’s nothing even remotely close to what I was looking for even though there’s at least 4 different brands that produce what I’m looking for. With only a selection of approximately 20 handguns in your entire store, I can’t imagine that you can do the amount of business that you should. Anybody be forewarned, expensive, lazy employees, and a lack of selection make this the last place anybody should go to for firearms. Having previously been to the range, there’s better places you can go to, now that applies to the gun store as well. Will never be back.

They are selling 7.62x39 steel case ammunition which is typically sold at 6 dollars a box, for a price gouging rate of 20 dollars. Nearly laughed so hard I fell over when they offered me their price. Especially in these times of crisis. If you can’t find ammo please don’t give in and spend triple the amount of money and let them goof you out of your money. They should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of people

I drive 25 minutes to get my shoot on at Winchester. Brian and Caleb are always ready to help, not like other ranges that just laugh at ladies learning to protect themselves. I will not go anywhere else. Winchester is it!

Great gun range staff you’ll never be a stranger at this gun range

Usually its great staff, but on occasion, you run into a staff member who feels it is the wild west and has a chip the size of Texas on their shoulder. I understand safety is paramount in that setting, however, Just remember... dont assume you are the only one with fire arm training and experience. Treat everyone with respect... not like an idiot. Having said that, I give 4 stars fire the rest of the staff and the facility.

I went with my husband and a friend who was selling a gun to us. I havent shot in 20+ years and neither had my husband. We had a great experience and will actually go there often. We both shot surprisingly well that day. I would recommend to others who need to brush up their skills and practice with a new firearm.

Last time I was in the market for a pistol I came here but couldnt help but feel as though I was being talked down to or judged based on my appearance by the guy behind counter... seemed to be trying to unnecessarily inject politics into the sales approach.

Had my gun there for consignment and did not sell went to retrieve it and the crimson trace laser had been removed and they could not find it. Also tried to claim I only had 3 clips when I brought it in and actually had 5. Be careful if you go there that you get back what you had taken there.Mr Martin, we are sorry you had a bad experience. Your consignment paperwork showed 3 mags, not 5. 2 flush, 1 extended. The laser was marked with a separate price. It was probably sold, but not marked down as such, our fault. You neglected to mention we purchased the firearm from you to rectify the situation.NOT Correct it said 2 flush and 3 extended mags in the description, which IS what I had brought in. Also when I brought it in I was told it would all be sold as a package as I had requested and nothing would be separated and your representative agreed that nothing was to be sold separately at the time I dropped it off and when I came to retrieve it. Removing the crimson trace laser should not have been done or sold separately YES you did purchase it but that would not had been necessary if you had followed the agreed upon consignment..

Have been to several gun ranges, but this ones home. From the very beginning the staff made me feel like I was a family member. The range has a good atmosphere throughout and theres always somebody available to help if needed. This is a great place for women to go for training and carry licensing

Have come here quite a few times with my dad as a younger lad, always had a good experience with the store and the range. The gunsmith shop is legit and the guys that run the place have a good camaraderie with the customers. As long as your not some butt hurt, introvert weirdo, youll get along just fine.Purchased new mags and a grip for my carry pistol and I honestly expected to pay more than I did. I was pleasantly surprised. If youve ever owned a small retail business or worked for one, youll understand that its just not financially possible to undercut the internet on every item. Ammo is of course going to be cheaper online but thats not factoring shipping (brass is heavy) and its not factoring in the value of instant, tangible, possession. I will gladly pay a little more for something I get to hold in my hand, inspect and take home THAT DAY. There is value in that. Plus, if something goes wrong and you need to return or exchange an item, its much more convenient with brick and mortar. Support your local economy, this is a quality establishment.

I love this place. Lots of lanes. And they let you shoot Russian made ammo which is awesome, I will not be going to any other range. I will say their front desk people at the range arent the most personable, but honestly, I really dont need them to be... just take my money and give me a range

Very rude employee. He blocked us from walking into the store, snapped his fingers at us and asked what we wanted. We said we are shopping for a gun. He responded with “We aren’t Walmart!” Needless to say we are taking our business elsewhere.

I go several times a month. I have never had a problem with any one and thier pricing is the best in town. No time limit on the pistol ranges you can take all the time you want or need.

Good place to practice. The staff is very informative and treat you like family. First time there and first time handling a gun, I felt very comfortable there.

This review is for the gunsmith shop only. I have no experience with the store.Tony Fitch is a professional gunsmith. He has restored my fathers Winchester 52, added a trigger kit to my XDM 45, and preformed numerous sight changes on my pistols. And at reasonable price ! I make no hesitation to recommend him and his shop.

This is what a gun store should be.They have a good selection of the items most people are looking for, a good selection of used pistols and rifles, and a good selection of collectible pistols and rifles.Ive been shopping at Winchester Gallery for over 20 years, service and customer attitude has almost always been the same. Its even. If you know what you want, and you wait for your turn, theyll spend as much time needed to discuss your needs.If you walk in and youre completely clueless, theyll work with you and help you as much as possible.They are not a Walmart, or a superstore looking to push a dozen or two dozen flavor of the month guns on people. They are experienced, knowledgeable, and if you dont like their prices on something - talk with them...and maybe theyll work with you.As to some of the other posts - there are three distinct parts to this complex of services: 1) The Gallery/gun store. 2) The shooting range. 3) The Gunsmithing services.There isnt another complex with these services in the Fort Worth area that Im aware of... I like some of their competitors, but TRUST Winchester Gallery and their gunsmiths.

My wife and I visited Winchester about a month ago. We had never been to a gun range before so we were a little nervous about what to do. The front desk guys were a little dry, but they were informative. The actual experience was pretty good. I did have some problems with my 9mm so Saturday I took it to the gunsmith on site. Within about a minute I knew that I was not coming back. The customer service was very bad. I got the impression that they were too busy and did not want my business.

SGT Keith Mc Gruire excellent teacher and very knowledgeable of Texas laws and keeps the class a live. Hes awesome. And instructor Marty Sharpe as well. Wonderful team.

I come in here a couple days a week. They actually offer me a military discount with my disabled veteran ID unlike Alpine who said if they gave discounts to all the veterans they wouldnt make any money. I will definitely be buying the annual pass from Winchester!

Went in to look at rifles, was planning on making a purchase. One of the employees instantly attempted to play 80 questions with me. Really rude, made it seem like he didnt appreciate customers in the store. After finishing the game, I looked around for 10 minutes to noticing the gentleman eyeing me down like a hawk. Store had a nice selection of rifles, but could use better employees.

Went to use the rifle lane up there and was told by the soy boy with the man bun that they dont allow steel fmj ammo. Just some friendly advice if you dont want customers wasting their time coming out there you might want to specify what types of ammo are allowed at your range. Soy boy then tells me yeah theres not too many ranges that allow that ammo lol yeah right I know of one within 10 miles of you that does and theres never been any issue of any kind. What a joke

I go here every Friday with my girlfriend (have actually become known as Mr.Crosslane lol) I have also been takeing her son there and teaching him how to shoot..this is a great place with great people a knowledgeable staff the guy in the gun shop is really friendly and helpful.....my only complaint is the lanes are a bit claustrophobic and not well ventilated(if u got 3-4 people all shooting alot of ammo it gets a bit smokey) but other then that I like be this place and will continue to come here

First visit to indoor range. Will admit to feeling a bit crowded, but I had several on my lane. Felt safe, not seedy, but need a bit more room...could be because they were crowded!

Wanted to have a rear sight installed on my hand gun. Called to see if I needed an appointment. They said Id need to drop it off and pick it up the next day no matter what. It takes 5 minutes to install the sight...Id rather buy the tool than drive over there twice.

I had a rusty rifle fixed, refinished, and I had the barrel relined. It took about a year to complete, twice as long as originally told, and a little less than quoted. The biggest problem with refinishing rusty guns, is the cleaning process always removes letters from the surface. I seen old refinished guns void of all original lettering and serial numbers. However, these guys actually revealed all letters, numbers, and proof marks, some that I had no idea that were even there. They even were able to remove several deep wrench marks from the barrel and receiver. I couldnt be more happy from their gunsmithing skills.

I have been going there for the past 10 years and the ammo I usually use is all of sudden no good. But of course they will sell me their ammo at a high price if I want to shoot today! I suggest you shoot somewhere else.

Range is poorly maintained, dirty facilities, ventilation is non-existent. The entire building needs renovation.

On 11/25 @ 1:00 I went in with intent to purchase a new gun. I waited patiently for 30 minutes but was never confronted. Even people after me were helped. To what I thought would speed up process I sat down and filled out background check. Finally the old long haired man asked if I needed help. This was after he had a customer who said gun shop in Bedford had way better pricing and he over paid for a gun here. I told him that I had filled out background check to help out. He stated he did not run those through until a gun was purchased. Ok. So I asked the heavier man to help because he seemed more pleasant. We walked off and the old man mumbled to another customer you get all sorts of people out of the wood works in here. I turned around and told him he had a smart ass mouth and decided to walk out. I know Im just one customer but I refused to even work with the other nice man. Horrible experience!! I guess everyone is tough with a gun.

I went to the gunsmithing shop to have my shotgun repaired. The repair didnt take as long as I thought and they did a wonderful job. I dont remember the older gentleman but he was very knowledgable and I enjoyed the stories he told. I wish there was a lane for shotguns. Also I have been at the range to test a pistol I have purchased from the pawn shop. I have never been to a gun range before but the staff was very helpful. I was confident in shooting in the end. Thanks guys.

They sold me a POS gun, fixed the trigger on it, then refused to buy it back because it was a pos. They actually told me they would never sell that gun, until I showed them the receipt. Eat crow!!! And in response to the owners comments, I would not be in your system as it was purchased more than 4 years ago.

Ive been to this shop a handful of times in the past two years and I can only say positive things. The range has great ventilation and the guys are pretty helpful. The guys a the gun shop are also very helpful. And to the bad reviewers out there complaining about bad customer service, I guess if youre an a--hole you will be treated like one.

Whenever ive got a new pistol to try out, this is the first place i go to shoot. you couldnt ask for a better pistol range. lots of cool targets to choose from and not just your boring old b27s either. the zombie targets and the osama bin ladin targets are my personal favorites. staff is always friendly and helpful. the gun shop next door has a pretty darn good selection as well. my only complaint is they really need more parking.

I came in and let them know it was my first time shooting there...they asked for my drivers license and told me I was in lane 5 across the drive. This should have been my first warning...they didnt ask if I knew the rules or what I was shooting or the ammo I had.In the range, there are 10-12 shooters on lanes 1-4 (mostly teenagers with a woman supervising). I never saw a range officer unless it was a guy giving a private lesson a few lanes down. The teens were loading magazines behind the line and it was a complete mess, even saw one try and fit a mag in a gun to see if it was the right one. The woman leading these kids kept telling them to point the guns down to be safe (not down range)...I was painted by a loaded gun twice then decided to pack up and head out. Id only been there 15min and felt like it was an accident waiting to happen.I let the guys know about it up front and got the feeling it was shrugged off...they were too busy pranking the gun shop by flipping their sign to say closed. The whole experience felt like going to the circus...I cant comment on their gun shop, but I will never be shooting here again.
