The mechanics welcomed me and took a look at the tire I had in my trunk without me having to park. Gave me their opinion. Walked in for some pricing and they were quick and honest. Wrote down what I needed and welcomed me to call around or come back and they’d have me a new tire within 24hrs.

Had a big bulge in my sidewall, they kept it honest that it wasnt safe to patch it. I started at the Illinois location, and even tho they didnt have any used tires they called their other location and got me a good used tire for 33 bucks out the door! They were kind, caring, and friendly. I really appreciated their skilled services and friendliness!

I called Tom steele Friday afternoon for a clicking noise when making a sharp right turn. The car got looked at Monday then cv axle was order then Tuesday morning it was done .Tom steele had me back on the road.They fixed the problem, everyone was friendly from the phone call to when I picked it up. My car was driving funny. I thought my tires needed alignment. I scheduled an appointment and took my car in for a check on my lunch break. The gentleman took my car into the garage while I waited. 10 minutes later another gentleman came into the waiting area to check that I have been waited on (good customer service). The first gentleman came back 15 minutes later and explained that my tire was rotting ( due to the dealership I purchased my car from failing to properly maintain them). He couldnt provide a replacement tire and did not charge me a single cent for the service. I went to a second location to purchase a tire and they agreed with the assessment (accurate diagnostic). They are an above the board, honest business. I hear nothing but good things from people I know who also patronage them. Also, they were timely so I didnt miss any work.

I got a phone quote to replace a rusted out broken Shackle on my 2002 Chevy truck 4 x 4, the leafspring Is in proper working condition but had broke its way through the bed because of the broken rusty shackle. I had to make an appointment a week in advance because of their busy schedule. Worth the wait. I brought it in on the day scheduled, he looked it over, said yeah it’s Rusty like they all are n we repair these for the price I quoted over the phone, Which kind of surprised me because the week prior I had a bait and switch price with another shop just down the street. He said it’d take a couple hours, they called me in an hour n half I picked it up and its great. Tom steel held to the phone quote, this is the most trouble free hassle free car repair experience I have ever had I can’t recommend these people enough! Thank you Tom Steele tire for not just keeping your word on fair pricing but doing a hassle free timely repair. This place has great mechanics. Update, several weeks later and the repair is perfect!

Local and great service. Four ride-flat tires were quite a bit less expensive that had we gotten them from the BMW dealer. But without a spare, not even a space saver one we are convinced we have to have them.

This is my go-to auto shop. Consistently under $80 for light repairs and sometimes half that. Full front end check with o2, plugs, fluid and brakes for less than $400. Sometimes think they dont charge enough!! This place is awesome!!!

Dropped car off for a 4 wheel alignment, tire rotation, and to get a wheel balanced. Went to pick it up to find that they only aligned the front. When asked why, they said that they dont align rear wheels here (supposedly their other location does, but not this one.. how are you able to align front wheels but not rear?). Why this was not mentioned when the appointment was made, I do not know. Cost: $60...for just a front end alignment. For less than $10 more you can get a full 4 wheel alignment elsewhere. I also found that they rotated the tires improperly. The car has a staggered wheel setup (rears are wider than the fronts) and therefore the tires should only be rotated side to side. I assume that they did the traditional tire rotation method of swapping diagonally without even looking at the tire sizes because the front wheels ended up on the rear and the rears on the front. You dont put the wide tires on the front and the narrow ones on the rear... They also left grease/dirt on the seat and door panel. Waste of time and money.

Took my car here because it had a shimmy. They charged me $1,700.00 for labor and parts they replaced and said they couldnt find what was causing the shimmy and said to try taking to a truck mechanic shop and the truck mechanic might be able to find the problem. Very dishonest place.

The guys that work there are cool except for Sam. His attitude over the years has gotten worse. For as much money as I have spent over the years and then to talked to like Im just some annoyance is just ridiculous!!!! Me and my family have done bussiness with them for years. They have two locations the easiest one to actually access dealing with traffic is the one off of Thomas Road and Illinois Road. They do get busy but they are friendly and they are clear on their pricing and they do a good job. They also rent vans on occasion
