Where to start? From the FIRST phone call (Austin) who made the appointment for me to get my teenager’s ears pierced—he was professional, thorough, and as nice as he could be. Mind you, I’m this child’s guardian so I had researched the BEST place to have this done! (The Mall was NOT a safe choice!) Browsing HCBM’s website I knew that some pretty “unusual looking” (is that politically correct? No disrespect intended) folks worked their crafts here. Better to be prepared than surprised. We arrived with the required documentation—this is no shady operation. The facility is immaculate with wonderful artwork. Waiting area is enormously comfortable and everyone is pleasant. Prior to the ear piercing, my teen watched a video on after care; the process was explained in detail by Austin, and a very nice young woman helped us choose the earrings my teen would go home with. We were then introduced to the gentleman, Kevin Clarke, who would pierce my child’s ears. (As a Christian woman at 65 years of age, I was glad I had browsed their website:) Kevin directed us to his office and began preparing to do what I thought was a couple holes in my teens ears—this guy was extremely particular! Everything was surgically wrapped: needles, swabs, including a one-time use pen for marking placement of holes. He explained every detail and I saw all tension leave her. She said later she never felt the needle, only the earring going in! We both agreed that Kevin was one of the nicest, sweetest, and certainly most professional people we’d met in a long time! Kevin again reiterated the after care process and, like his co-workers, instructed us to call at any time if there were any questions or concerns. They are sticklers about the health and well-being of their clients. It’s no wonder my hours of research brought us to Hanging City. If you’re reading this...and you want it done right...this is the place!

We drove 1.5 hrs to come here, based off their reputation and their jewelry selection, and it was definitely worth the drive! Kevin did my septum a few days ago, and Im so happy with my experience. Everyone in the shop was friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large selection of beautiful, quality jewelry to choose from, and said they can special order what you want upon request. I was particular about the look I wanted and he totally got it (I didnt want to be stuck with the traditional bulky bullring that I hated for 4 months while it healed... they hooked me up with a feminine solid gold ring with moonstones and labradorite, so pretty!) The piercing was quick with minimal pain, and perfectly placed. And of course everything was clean and sterilized.100% recommend.

Clean and professional. I went in for a daith and Kevin answered all my questions and knew exactly what he was doing. Felt as clean as a doctors office in the piercing room. Have gone in to ask about other piercings and they’re quick and happy to answer any questions. Will use them again for lobe piercings.

I was really impressed with the tattoo artist Bigg. He took his time and made me comfortable with my first tattoo. The work he did was great and the detail is incredible. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love Scott & Kevin!! I have been to a couple different shops where Scott has worked & now hes got his own. I know there is other owners Im not mentioning, but my point is Scott has always been helpful where ever hes been & proud to give Hanging City Body Modifications my business. Terrific place! I came here for a nose piercing, and everything was very sanitary. Everyone had a great attitude, and they thoroughly explained what you should/should not do after your piercing.

My daughter wanted to get her ears pierced, this place was recommended. They are awesome over there. Went above and beyond to make sure she got what she wanted and made sure she was comfortable. She didnt cry or move. They dont let you leave until you fully understand how to care of your piercings. ( technically they arent forcing you to stay lol) but they do care and will answer all your questions.

Kevin is pretty awesome, he is very through and feel free to curse at him when it stings a little. He is super quick and its done before you know it.

Weve had several experiences with this establishment so far and we keep coming back. We have a preferred piercer, but everyone we have dealt with seems to know what theyre doing. The only negatives I would have are that they are a bit pricey (but take that with a grain of salt as they are experienced, professional and very clean. All of which are extremely important for a piercing), they use a smaller than average size jewelry which is difficult to find except through them it seems (again, expensive. Quality, but expensive. And limited.), they ask for a seemingly unnecessary amount of personal information just to do a simple thing like purchase a gift certificate. Other than those minor gripes, we keep coming back.

They were extremely helpful, courteous, and make you feel like youre a part of their family. Really comfortable atmosphere. Great quality and quantity of jewelry.

Got a septum piercing done . Was told about 10 times “DONT TOUCH IT” and I didn’t touch it . Healed beautifully and they were able to make nice conversation . All around a good atmosphere. Favorite shop.

Got the blue piercing there yesterday. Ive been to a couple different shops for piercings, and they were clean and friendly, but this place went above and beyond. I live in Colorado, but if I want more piercings Ill wait until I come visit my parents again to come here. They were so thorough when making sure I knew how to take care of it. They sterilized the jewelry in a sterilizing machine and had indicators to show me it was sterile. He changed his gloves at least three times while getting everything ready, and the actual piercing did hurt really bad (it is my cartilage) but he was so fast and knew what he was doing, I can imagine it could be a lot worse. Loved them!

If you need a piercing go to Kevin! Hes as patience as they come and a great conversationalist. I wouldnt trust anyone but him to come around me with a needle. Everyone is super nice. Very clean, sterile environment and practice.

Went in for a conch piercing as a walk-in. The staff was friendly while I went back and forth on which jewelry to choose. The prices were reasonable. The wait was to be expected as it was a Saturday afternoon. My piercer Kevin was fantastic! Hes very personable and professional. We had a good chat, discussed the aftercare, and he pierced me. I would definitely recommend Kevin and Hanging City Body Modification to anyone! Such a great experience!

This place is awesome! I drove from Fayetteville to get my piercings done here because literally every tattoo shop I asked told me it was the best. I got an industrial and a lobe piercing in my left ear and a cartilage, conch, and lobe piercing in my right ear. I was surprised by how little the piercing process hurt! It was a very smooth and swift process. The jewelry selection is also really nice and they explained how much pride they take in their services and products and made me feel really comfortable. It was definitely worth the money I spent and I am so happy I didn’t go to a cheap shop that provided a lower quality service and product!

I went in to have my nose re-pierced. I had previous had it done at another place, and it became too infected to keep. I went in and Kevin did my piercing. So professional, friendly, and SO knowledgeable. They get their products from American based companies and really care about the quality of materials as well as how it looks aesthetically. Ive gotten a couple of piercings here and love this place. Kevin is super professional and makes you feel at ease if youre nervous. He makes the actual piercing as painless and quick as possible and gets you prettied up and on your way. The jewelry is high quality, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The only bad part was the wait time.Of course, my friend and I chose a horrendous time-frame to be spontaneous, so that was no fault of the business.Maybe the loud music but it drowned out other noises, so, there was, seemingly, a purpose.I loved the old 90s Hip Hop playing, that helped!The place is clean and well lit, with adequate seating. Even a water cooler in case you get parched.It was worth the wait!Kevin, the piercer, was exceptionally professional.Hes has his own autoclave, and, you can immediately tell, takes meticulous care with sanitization procedures.The only other thing he is as careful with is ensuring your comfort with the procedure.(Also, bonus points - his favorite color is green! 💚)For anyone who is curious about taking their children to see or get their ears done, yes, its fine!I would trust these guys and their ilk 1,000 over before I would anyone with a gun again.Minimum age allowed is 7!They are required to speak with Kevin, who is of large stature, with many facial piercings and tattoos, as well as knowledgeable, soft-spoken and eloquent.Some of the jewelry is EXPENSIVE!!!WATCH OUT!BUT! It is also quality. And really shiny. (LOL)I had no shame in asking for the cheap stuff, but, have no worry, even the cheap stuff is quality!I adore and appreciate the IN YOUR FACE aftercare education for any piercings. They will make sure you know right from wrong, as there is so misinformation and hurt from those piercing gun monsters at Walmart and mall stores.(I apologise to any gun piercers who may have been talented or gentle, etc, but overall, awful process, and mostly due to the gun! Please to not send me hate mail.)Definitely recommend to anyone!

Made things very difficult when trying to get a piercing, pricing is higher than their competing businesses, ask for multiple forms of identification for the health department. Dont show you when they do sterilization. All in all is not a good place to go to, I recommend going somewhere else.
