I just moved from South Dakota. I am someone that is new to going to running stores in this area. First, I wanted to go to Run Shoppe that was nearby, they werent open during their business hours. I seen their selection from outside with their lights shutoff. I was impressed at all. So I went to Run Florida. I couldnt find it almost but I found the building. I needed Nipguards really bad and try out gels for the first time. The man was so nice and friendly, I will be coming back there as long as I live in Fort Myers. I had to drive aways but it was totally worth it.

The owner was just amazing. He just looked at my foot and knew my size and how I pronated. They didn’t have what we needed because they don’t sell kids shoes, but he immediately referred us to another retailer that could assist us and have what we needed. He was also incredibly kind to my children when they were playing tag and getting behind the counter. It’s difficult to wrangle them, but he was just amazing and laid back. In and out with amazing shoes at a great price! I stated my issues with supination after having foot surgery, and he brought out a pair that were on sale and were perfect! I even found out I had been wearing the wrong size shoe! I highly recommend stopping in. Ill be back for sure.

Unless youre an elite high school runner, they wont pay attention to you. I only came here because I was interested in trying Newton shoes. None of the running stores in the area offered them, and now I understand why.When I was fitted in Grand Rapids and Chicago (where Im from), they always told me Im a neutral runner. I have always been lucky enough to run pain-free (thanks, biomechanics!). When I came to this shop, he didnt ask me what kind of running I did, how many miles I ran, etc. He told me I was over-pronating, and recommended a stability shoe. I went with the Newton Kismet, ...I broke them in gradually, as recommended, which meant a reduction in mileage. I got my mileage back up a few weeks later and started to get pain on the outside of my left foot, radiating up to my left knee. I messaged the shop, they told me to come in, and that wed talk. I was after the 30 day guarantee. I came in, and he just told me to contact Newton. Thanks, guy...but if you werent going to help me out, you could have just told me to contact Newton from the get-go, because now, I just wasted a trip. In the meantime, I bought another pair from them, because I couldnt just not run. He set me up with the most expensive pair of Saucony they sold. They were the worst. I got in touch with Newton, she had me send pictures of my old Newtons, and said based on the wear pattern, she didnt know why he set me up with a stability shoe, because I was clearly a neutral runner. She sent me the neutral model of the shoe, and Ive been running in them ever since. When I went to return the Saucony the guy was a total dick. Said barely two words to me. Ill stick to the Elite Runner or the Run Shoppe for my running needs from now on.

I called all over town looking for a running watch (Garmin Forerunner 235). I could not find one until i called Run Florida and I got it at a good price. I saw the negative review about the Newton shoes. I might check them out while I am there.
