Boating from river good signage once in channel

Its hard for me to even give this dealership even one star. The service department doesnt even have the decency to return a phone call. Large boats just cant be loaded onto a trailer and taken to a different mechanic. Youre held hostage to the dealer in the local area. Think twice maybe three times before you deal with this company. After numerous phone calls and emails I have received no response. The dealership has serviced my boat since 2002. I would highly encourage all prospective boat buyers to look elsewhere. The customer service is terrible. Every human being deserves a return phone call. Apparently this dealership thinks they are above and beyond being respectful and decent. Its a disgrace that they can stay in business with this treatment. Buyer beware. Stay clear.

Good. The atmosphere was really nice. The service was outstanding. The food was subpar; basically flavorless. No salt, pepper or anything. Presentation was good and the drinks were really good.

There is no way I could ever recommend buying a boat from this dealership. While they are more than willing to sell one a boat, the after-sales service is terrible. I can say specifically that they will hardly ever return a phone call, and actually help you. They definitely did not return my wifes phone calls (ladies, are you listening), and only returned mine after I went on a Twitter rant. If your boat breaks down, you are on your own in finding a repair service. They simply have no interest in helping you after you buy one of their boats.Mind you, it is rare for me to get online, and actually post a negative review, but I feel this is the only way to get their attention. Well see what happens.

Great staff and clean facility.

As always , Professional .Ive had their crew do everything from taking off tuna towers , off loading express cruisers, and load me for over the road transport. Weather dealing with my clients or dealing with me in the industry, I know when I send someone to Marine Max , their going to get the job done professionally.

Called in and spoke to Mr. Daniel Smith. Was seeking help with the disassembly of my throttle arm to remove the bolster behind it. He could have immediately went with the proverbial, youll have to bring in the boat. Instead, sent me an email to respond to with a picture of my throttle arm. Within 2 minutes phoned back with a very easy 3 step removal. This was customer service personified. Refreshing to say the least, and even more appreciated. Thank you Daniel Smith!

Awesome place to visit

I have highly disappointed in the service of Marine Max. Namely Daniel Smith! He sent me a list of repairs on my boat and I answered promptly. Since then I have called 4 times in the 10 days without a responseI call that really poor customer service!If anyone is reading this message from MarineMax at headquarters or in Ft Myers. Call me. I believe this dealership acts in an ethical manner. The management has been responsive to my concerns and has indicated they will make things right. I amend my previous review and say that I am now comfortable recommending them to others

Excellent in both sales and service.

On Sunday 11/1/20 we were on the river about 3:00 on our 320 Sea Ray when all of a sudden alarms start going off, we stop and raise engine hatch to find water spraying all over engine compartment and water rising in bottom of compartment. We called for help and 2 Sheriff boats arrive in seconds, one with a pump that we started immediately. Called Marine Max Fort Myers and spoke with Josey told her we were being towed in. When we got there dock hand helped get us tied up, few minutes later 3 other guys came to assess situation, pulled us over to the lift and got us out of the water within minutes. Wish we knew the names of all the guys including the lift operator who took great pains to make sure boat was secure and on properly. Can’t thank you all enough for the awesome work that day. The service department should get up to speed with common Mercruiser engines. Rates are way too high. Bad decision turned costly

My wife and I visited Marinemax in Ft Myers in Oct 2018. We spoke with Trey Ware about various boats and models in the cruiser line that were in our price range. He worked with us to attend the Miami boat show in Feb 2019. We looked at a few different boat but were really impressed with the quality of the Boston Whaler 285 Conquest. It was priced right for the size and quality of the boat; however, we werent sure if we could fit it in our budget. Trey kept in contact with us over the months and we ran into him a couple times around town. He is very personable and has a lot of experience in boating with no pressure on the sales side. Just willing to take the time and work with you. Well, he was persistent in a good way when he found a great deal on a used 2018 285 conquest. We bought it and took delivery yesterday. Trey, Capt. Brandon, and the Marinemax team were all there for our delivery and first outing. Cant say enough about how the team has made us feel welcomed into the boating family.Thank you

This is an amazing operation. I purchased my first REAL boat from Marine Max Fort Myers in March and have received nothing short of the royal treatment throughout the buying process and ever since. Every one from the GM Ryan, to Chelsea in Finance, Clancy in sales, Capt. Brandon, Kyle and Dan in service and all of the many guys at the dock and marina form a cohesive team capable of handling your every boating need in the blink of an eye; always with smiling faces. Capt. Brandon is worthy of a whole separate lengthy 5 star review, but suffice to say that he wont quit until you are 100% comfortable with every aspect of operating your new boat. I have visited many Marine Maxs around the country and MarineMax of Fort Myers is definitely the best. All of the employees are really nice and they have a great service department. Even if I dont need anything I will stop by this MarineMax just to have the experience to hang out with Trudy. She is a blast and always makes me smile

Stopped in upon arrival on one of my visits to Ft. Myers. Asked to look at a few boats. Gave my interests and price range. Was told a broker would have to get back with me. Never heard back.

Great food, always packed make reservations. Ask for the big red snapper whole. Its a bit expensive but definitely worth it. Highly recommend

Attended the soft opening of Deep Lagoon Restaurant recently opened by Phelan Brands. The opening was great. The service and food was great, there was very little wait. The founders were out greeting customers, nice soft Floridian atmosphere.

Fried Hog fish with rice and green beans was very tasty. Good service and nice view of water, marina, boats. We will be back...

I recently purchased a Sea Ray 27 Sundeck from Marine Max in Fort Myers. The entire staff from the very start was courteous, professional & first class in every way. From the sales experience all the way to getting my Captains orientation it was the best experience purchasing a boat I have ever had, as I have been boating for over 40 years, that says a lot! Each member of the Marine Max Team took the time to introduce themselves, answer any questions I had & made the experience truly awesome! At a time when customer service seems to be lagging at best, these folks are setting the benchmark for what it should be. I am pleased to be keeping my boat at the Marine Max facility & look forward to many years of boating enjoyment, thanks to the great service I know I am going to receive. Special thanks to Charlie, Terri, Vic, Jana, Tom, Bill, Ryan & other folks I have had the pleasure to meet so far, cheers!!!

Family members keep boat docked here, service is exceptional

VERY expensive , they loose stuff boat covers and say we are not responsible , add 20% on top of everything on no preferred vendors, boats get covered in dust they clean them badly, much better places to go to in south west Florida. I would give them 0 stars

Service in the marina is slower than molasses. Waited over an hour for a single vessel to be moved, after it was already loaded on the trailer. Clearly paid by the hour with no regard for efficiency or consideration for others.

People are always writing bad reviews, I want to say what a good experience I just had at Marine Max. I had a problem with my outboard and Gary and Chet were extremely professional and competent. It ended up a warranty issue and Im sure Mercury was hesitant to treat it as such. Ive owned boats for 50 years and while I usually do my own fixes, both of these guys have put me at ease if I have a problem in the future. Thanks again guys. Mercury even had my warranty date incorrect and Gary is taking care of it. Brad Olsen

I purchased my Sea Ray from Marinemax Fort Myers 2 years ago from Aaron Bang, an extremely helpful, nice guy who I would highly recommend. Since then I have spent in excess of $30,000 in service and repairs with them. Unfortunately I am having further problems with the boat and rang the service department today, I was told that they wouldnt even look at my boat for at least a month, and that was just to diagnose the problem not to repair it. Not a lot of use when you want to use the boat. I understand people get busy but a month!! So if you value after sales service when you purchase a boat then Marinemax Fort Myers is probably not for you.

This review is long over due. My husband and I will be loyal to Clancy Boyer at MarineMax. I just have to praise the work of Clancy Boyer. Clancy helped us find the perfect vessel. He steered us to what we needed. We were difficult people to help and he took time and was patient with my indecisiveness. Niether my husband or I ever felt pressured yet Clancy kept us up to date as to what was available. He was always available and He was always honest! He made us aware of the pros and cons of each vessle we considered. Truly, we will be back. Thank you Clancy for all your hardwork and honesty. We look forward to the events MarineMax has to offer.

The ONLY place to buy a Boston Whaler

I had a new boat shipped from Wisconsin to Fort Myers and when we took it out of the slip there were several electrical issues (involving more than simple fuse replacement).Even though I had not bought my boat from MarineMax, I called them to see if they could help. The service manager arranged for me to bring my boat over (via water) and he had his electrical technician look into my problem - immediately upon arrival at their slip/marina. The problem was discovered by their tech (Nicki) within minutes....it was a loose wire on a terminal to the battery which affected only certain instruments...very unobvious problem. He fixed the loose wire and checked out the rest of the electrical and found one of the stereo speakers also had a missing connection and - though we did not notice - it was not functioning.All inspected and all repaired within an hour of arrival and with all of the courtesy of a professional organization. The tech took photos and advised that they would handle the matter with the manufacturer - no cost to us!Professional/competent people.Don Voigt
