One word - transparency. They have serviced garage doors and two properties I own. The first property had a light weight door that was loud and was starting to not lift. They patiently walked me through the issues, the options, and pricing. The subsequent spring and new rollers they installed work perfectly.My other property was a flip and the spring they installed was faulty. The company the home warranty sent out couldnt figure out the problem. They quickly diagnosed the issue and advised Id need a spring that was appropriate for the door. They made a number of adjustments to ensure it lifted correctly and cleaned up the lose wiring hanging around from the initial install.I will hire this team again when I need them

DONT DO IT.I called them on a Thursday because my springs were broken. Gentleman called me back at 7:30 PM, very nice and I explained the issues and that I had a 2 car garage door. blah, blah blah. No problem sir we will be out there tomorrow and the cost will be 375 dollars.Well when the tech showed up he said the guy maid a mistake and only quoted me for a single door. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE because I measured the door while I was on the phone with him. I even asked him questions about my 2 CAR GARAGE.Tech shows up says sorry its now $600 dollars and by the way you need new pulleys. I was like OK how much, He sates $150 dollars.Now the bill is up to $750. I do a quick search and find out I can get the same parts on Amazon for $15 dollars. REALLY..I dont mid paying for Labor and service but I hate getting ripped off. I expected to pay $375 maybe they find something and it goes to $450 but now I am in for $750. I called customer service, she said she talked to the tech but little did she know I was standing next to the guy and he never answered the phone. It was all a LIEI had a issue with the door not closing correctly. A new guy came out the next day and GUESS WHAT. He wanted to change my wheels now. For $250 dollars. What a joke, I can almost buy a new door at this point.I said please leave.WE ARE DONE. They are a total bait and switch operation.MOVE ON.

I had a wonderful experience with garage door services. I contacted them to schedule an appointment and they arrived within an hour! They offered a free consultation and explained the pricing and exactly what was needed so that I completely understood the process. They completed the work in a timely manner and did a great job! Would recommend!

Unprofessional and unreliable. They left the work undone. The garage wouldn’t close fully once the work was “complete”. Then they wanted me to pay them again to complete the job. Tech Leo was rude and charged me $75 to finish the work they should’ve done the first time around, a job that took him no more than 90 seconds. Called the company to voice my concern and they said a manager would call me back that afternoon and never did. A job they told me would take 40 minutes took a week. Too many real companies to waste your time or money with them.

I called this company to come out and see why my garage door was not functioning properly after seeing that they had good reviews. My garage door was not opening all the way, and kept getting stuck at a certain point in the tracks. The technician that came out charged me $40, and was there for a total of 10 minutes. All he did was ask me to open and close the door only to see what i initially reported which is that the door didnt open completely. After seeing that, the technician proceeded to tell me that the motor for the garage door was dying, and told me that i needed a whole new unit (garage door, rails, etc.). I decided to call the manufacturer to see if i can just replace the motor, and they were kind enough to troubleshoot the problem for free. After 10 minutes on the phone with them, we figured out that the garage door was simply off balance, and was giving the motor too much weight to pull. I am writing this not because i had to pay, but rather the type of service Horizon provides. Their whole model is built not on helping the customer find solutions to simple problems, but rather go for the BIG ticket which is replacing your whole garage unit in its entirety. I called back to complain, and the representative on the phone hung up on me while i was explaining the issue. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR GARAGE. THEY DO NOT INTEND TO MAKE COST EFFECTIVE REPAIRS. THEY ONLY INTEND TO UP SELL YOU ON BIG TICKET ITEMS!!!!! CALL THE MANUFACTURER FIRST AND GO FROM THERE SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY!!!!

I had a very pleasant experience today (2/23/19) with Charles, the service person of Garage Pro. He was very knowledgeable and identified the problem I was facing after my first sentence. I was amazed and he guided me exactly through the steps to correct my garage door malfunction. I was really ecstatic. It was a minor issue (sensor alignment) which was causing the door not to close with activation of the remote.Thank you again. Yesterday I had a problem with my garage door, that was installed in October 2018, so I tried to call the GarageDPro because I was given a 3 year warranty on the parts. The number on the sticker & receipt given to me did not work, so I called another company to come out. The technition who came out told me that the springs put on by GarageDPro were not the right size for my heavy door. He also showed me that the 2 springs installed were different sizes. I mentioned that I paid $1800 to have the springs & cables replaced ad he said I could get a new door installed for the same price. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

THE WORST!!!! Be ware these people are horrible. I decided to try this company because they appeared to have good reviews. HUGE MISTAKE!!! They installed a new garage door opener for me. Now it won’t go all the way up or down. I called them and the fogging out of this lady’s mouth is there will be service charge for them to come out. Ok I say so she scheduled me for 9-11 the next day. At 3 pm I call and ask what’s going on. “Let me call the tech and call you back in 30 minutes. 2 hours later I called and she says sorry what time will you be home tomorrow? I tell her that I took off work and needed someone today. She says again “what time will you be home tomorrow “. I tell her that I need someone today. She says ok someone will be there before 9. Of course no one shows or calls. I call lack the next morning (today) and she says let me call you back in 5 minutes. 3 hours later NOTHING. She won’t answer my calls now.

The merchant completed repairs that were not authorized. I was overcharged for parts and labor that I did not need. I contacted GarageDPro on 7/15/19 and asked for a quote on a garage door spring repair. The person on the phone told me it would be $125.00. I agreed to have the work done and it was scheduled for the next day. When the service person showed up to my house, I was not at home at the time, but my sister was there. My sister called me to tell me that someone was at my house to fix my garage door and I told her I was aware and to allow them to do the repair. I arrived home as the tech was completing the job and he stated that the bill was $650.00. In complete shock , I questioned why it was so much and told him about the quote that I got on the phone. The rep stated that he replaced the spring, cables and drums. He then tried to justify the extra parts by saying that the cables were rusty and the drums needed replaced because of routine maintenance. I asked to see the parts that were removed and I did not see any rust on the cables at all. The drums did not look to be in bad shape either. I immediately began to state my dissatisfaction and told him that I felt like i was being ripped off and taken advantage of. The rep told me that the repair was done and I needed to pay the $650.00. Reluctantly, I gave him my credit card information and told him that I would have the parts looked at to verify they were still good. The response was You do what you gotta do Two days later on 7/18/19 I tried reaching out to the company and was told that someone would call me back. No one did. I called again on 7/19/19 and was told the same thing. Again, no one called back. On the 4th day, a girl from their office called. I stated my concern and told her I wanted them to come back and put my old parts back on and take the new ones back. She relayed the information and called me back to tell me that they would offer a 10% discount. Of course that was not an acceptable resolution. The representative then told me she would look further into it and have someone call me. not surprising, no one called me back. At this point I was not making any progress with the merchant directly, so I called my credit card company to dispute the charge. I currently have an open case and am waiting on resolution. Their response to my credit card company was that I arrived at his location and provided him with the price and scope of the service prior to starting. He agreed to our terms of service and authorized the work. I was not even home when he got there! He then stated, I completed the job to the customers satisfaction and he signed the attached receipt and paid without any issues. Well, I can tell you as I stated before, I was in shock that a quote of $125.00 turned into a $650.00 bill. I was arguing with the tech telling him I felt taken advantage of and I felt like I was being ripped off. So, yes, there was an issue. To this day, no one has tried to contact me and my credit card company is being told lies. I still have the parts and anyone can see that they are in perfect condition. I honestly feel 100% ripped off!

Rip off .. do not use this company. Wanted me to write a check for cash I said no. Then if I used my credit card they would charge me 3%. I said no. Then wanted to take a picture of my drivers license. I said no. Cost me $800 .. I was stuck because I needed my garage door open ASAP. 800 dollars crazy ripoff

I used this company less then a year ago for garage repair and it cost me $900 . The garage door was acting up and called them to come service since it’s under 3 year warranty. It took 3 days to get an appointment. I was finally given a window between 3-5 , nobody showed up or called . I called again and they said now between 5-7 . I waited and waited ...NO SHOW NO CALL !! I called this morning and when complained about them not showing up and not even having the decency to call I was received with silence at the other end . I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY. THIS COMPANY HAS NO MORALS , ZERO ETHICS , AND ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. BEWARE BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY ! I will definitely be reporting to the BBB .

This company is a scam. The tech came out said the springs needed to be replaced quote was very high so we came to a price that was fair IF we paid CASH. We agreed. We were told the job would take less than hour, the tech took about two hours and didnt seem to be too confident. When he was finished the door opened and shut so my husband gave him the cash and he sped off. My husband felt it was odd how he left in such a rush so he tried the door sure enough it didnt work. This was 5 minutes after he left. We called the Tech, he came back out, after he went to dinner, now its really late. The tech tries varies things and now says all of a sudden the motor is bad. He said that in the few minutes he left our house our motor went bad. Ok thats very unlikely that in 5 minutes the motor went bad. So either, he didnt install the springs correctly or the motor is bad and failed to diagnose the problem correctly. We offered to pay for the materials but we wanted some of our money back because the job still wasnt finished and the door still wasnt working. He called his boss and while we were speaking with the boss he peeled out again WITH our money. The boss had no remorse and said that the motor failed within that short amount of time. IMPOSSIBLE! He refused to give us any money back and said if you bought a car from a dealer and get a flat tire is that the dealers fault? Stupidest analogy and doesnt even apply to the situation. They didnt diagnose the problem correctly, they didnt complete the job and they didnt satisfy the costumer. Not to mention how extremely unprofessional it was to show up in an unmarked van wearing gym close. The boss was actually laughing on the phone because Im sure he does this kind of half ass work all the time and gets away with it. DO NOT HIRE THEM! Lesson learned here is to always hire a professional company that cares about their reputation and to never pay cash for a service. Totally unacceptable.

I don’t normally write bad reviews of any company however today I really feel like I got burnt. Garage door spring broke and I called this company to come out and give me an estimate. Everything fine up to the point where the tech tells me the springs price is the number of the spring minus $100. Ok great so 10 years from now when cost of goods goes up say 50% that spring will still cost the same? Doesn’t make sense nor when I spoke to his manager over the phone did he make any more sense claiming that the springs I was going to originally buy at HD from a manufacturer named Dura-Lift were made in China and that his were much better and worth paying 4 times as much for than the ones made right here in the U.S.A. If I would have understood the poor English the tech had better or if I insisted on a written estimate I would have not hired them. Turns out the gotcha is that they claim to need to dissemble the door to get the springs size to then give you a quote. By the way a set of the same size springs made in America is $68.95 at HD and not the $265.00 charged by this company.
