Wow!!!! Best dive shop ever! Really enjoy talking to the guy who owns it. I think his name is Dave.Him and his wife are from California, they’ve been here for quite some time. He’s very knowledgeable about the area, and has really nice here for rental. I actually did my first sure dad and first solo dive through his shop. Can you help me set up the year, and sent me on my way he gave me a brief tutorial on how to get into the water, which I really appreciate because I’d never done a solo dive or shore dive before.He explained the schematic to me of the Reese, and explained logistically where I should go. Apparently, there’s three levels of reef at the shore dive. The further out you go, obviously the deeper the water gets, and obviously the bigger the fish will get. It was a really nice dive, and I was so appreciative to have him help me get into my gear. I would not have been able to do it if he had not helped me. He even took my picture after I got everything set up, which was really really nice.Saw some really amazing fish. Actually, that shore dive was probably best one that I did in Fort Lauderdale /Miami to date. Got to see some spotted Ray, some nurse sharks, a bunch of fish in schools, some angelfish, bunch of see urchins, I am very beautiful Coral.When I finish the first dive I came back, took everything off, and he helped me walk into my gear again for my second dive. Take some pictures while I was getting in the water from his beach cam. Really nice, because I went by myself.

Literally one block away from the best shore diving in the Continental US! The shop is small, but the service and overall experience is top notch. I have a family of three certified divers and two Junior Open Water divers who were out for their very first recreational dive, and this was the first shore dive for all five of us. Dave and Andres were extremely attentive, took the time to understand my family’s experience and interests, and went above and beyond to plan a dive that delivered on all fronts. Andres was our Dive Master and he ensured our dive was extremely safe and fun. They made us feel like family!The reefs off Anglin’s Pier don’t disappoint. Besides the usual reef fish, we saw a good-sized nurse shark and a loggerhead turtle - the highlight of the trip for my boys. Parking in the area is a bit tight, but we managed without any issues.Highly recommend this as a dive spot and Deep Blue Divers as your dive shop!

Nice people. Very small shop. Rental equipment is a mix of old and new equipment, all however, heavily used. Rental equipment are low end brands as well.Experienced cracked fins, poor fitting masks on all 4 people in our group, 2 snorkels broke, dump valve broke-rubber rings broke, and mask strap snapped.Close to beach is a plus but be very picky about the equipment you are given. $25 price is high in general abs especially for the quality of the equipment. 2 blocks back from the beach on commercial is another shop that rents high end equipment and less or same price. I know this as I ended up walking there, they were open till 7 and this shop was closed at 5, to end up buying fins and renting another mask.

Just finished my open water certification with Andreas at Deep Blue Divers and could not be more happy with the experience. Andreas is a good teacher who helped me to get the skills down and feel comfortable and safe in the water. David is also very helpful and knowledgeable. I look forward to doing my advanced open water, nitrox, and other courses with deep blue divers. If your in the area and want to get your certification I would highly recommend deep blue divers!

Andreas was fantastic! I had never dived before and was a little nervous, Andreas mad ed me feel comfortable. Great experience with my son and niece.

Had an amazing experience diving with Andres. Brought the whole family down including 2 brand new divers for the discover scuba package. Andres was a great teacher and made everyone feel safe and well cared for. The shore dive was great we saw stingrays, lobster, star fish, and more. Very cool people who run this shop. My wife and I rented tanks and a dive flag here and got great info and details about the Reef just off shore. My wife and I swam with a Manatee who followed us around for a while. Going back next year!

Amazing shop to rent from if you are doing Lauderdale by the Sea. Extremely nice and helpful staff.

Diving instructor was very impatient and seemed annoyed that we were asking questions for a beginner class. The experience was a little overwhelming for me, and I decided not to go, and couldn’t even get a partial refund. Really disappointed with the customer service.

My number one so for all diving related items. The staff is super friendly and Andres did my certification in 3 days! Pick up your rentals and walk to the beach. A short swim away and you will be diving in one of Floridas top reefs.

I was planning a last minute dive and calling scuba shops late at night hoping they would call me back in the morning. By some luck, Andres called be back quite quickly that night to set something up for the morning. He was SO accommodating for our needs and gave us the exact dive we were looking for. Equipment was tiptop shape and Andres was the perfect guide. My partner and I had not gone diving in quite some time and Andres gave us a perfect mini refresher course. I wish our trip was longer so we could go again !

Excellent dive shop with all the essentials. The location cant be matched: just a short walk to the beach, and great reefs a shirt distance offshore. This area is perfect for local diving. The staff are very knowledgeable and make the shop feel like your new dive home. Definitely recommend for getting your divers certifications or any other diving trips you wish to venture on!

Dont bother. There are too many companies that actually appreciate your business. We were planning a trip to Fort Lauderdale and wanted to look into open water certification while we were there. We were planned the trip around being able to do this. My email went unanswered. My Facebook message was read and went unanswered. A little customer service goes a long way.

Rented snorkel gear for my family. Chose Deep Blue after reviewing prices on their website online, showing $15 to rent snorkel gear. When we arrived, we were told that it would be $25. I showed David the pricing displayed on their site and asked if they would honor that, or at least meet us in the middle, so he called the owner who promptly denied any concessions for their misrepresentation. We were in a bind with plans so we reluctantly rented anyway. One of our snorkel sets was junk; cheap and worn. My wife had to tie the strap because it kept slipping. I showed this to them when returning the equipment. Again, no offers to make it right. Then, while sitting in my car punching an address, I see that same junk snorkel set being sanitized for the next victim outside. I can overlook a lot of this if we had not started off on the wrong foot, but I am not impressed with the integrity of this operation. We would have been better off just buying some cheap snorkel sets somewhere else.

Andres was a phenomenal instructor and provided efficient and clear instructions in order to get us out in the water quickly. 10/10 would give 6 stars if I could. He made sure to make sure we were comfortable with what we were doing and he also made a friendly environment to where he felt more as a friend than an instructor. Highly recommend

Walked in looking for a few dive items...the owner was immediately on me about wearing a mask...and was very rude..and un-courteous about it. I pulled my shemaugh up...about that time one of his instructors walked in under masked and uncovered. I said I guess you know hes healthier than I am dont you. In a snotty sarcastic tone he mentioned that he knew he had been tested...I replied so have I.....Again..im a rude unprofessional manner. I try and frequent small businesses cause I run one. This guy was rude...short and he needs to learn...the customer is the reason he is in business. There are dive shops everywhere in FL. I hope this one fails.Very respectfully,US Navy VeteranRob

Fun staff! Completed my PADI rescue diver. Was really efficient with clear instruction. Appreciate the volunteer that let me “rescue” him for the certification. It was easy to walk from the shop to the beach for off shore diving. Recommend.

Just completed the open water certification with Andres. The entire experience was outstanding. Although scuba is supposed to be fun, it is also very serious business and Andres was very thorough with all of the techniques and safety considerations that are a must, and made certain that we knew, understood and could adequately perform everything before progressing to the next step. Best of all is that when it comes to the open water portion of the training it takes place at an easily accessible and beautiful reef, so that although training, you still get the full experience of diving. As for the shop, I cant compare to others since I have never shopped elsewhere, but the equipment was top notch and we were fully fitted and outfitted with just what we needed, and the whole staff was very friendly and helpful. So the bottom line is I would highly recommend Deep Blue Divers and Andres in particular if you are interested in learning to dive and get certified. Just keep in mind that it is a three (3) day course and that really means three days (not including your own book study time). Thanks Andres and all of your staff for a wonderful experience.

Offer training to shore dives.

Pretty standard Dive shop half a block from the beach just off of Commercial boulevard, relatively cheap air fills on scuba tanks and enough in the shop that you can browse while you eait for the fill. Not much parking so that can be a bit of a pain if you are just looking to pull in real quick then get out of there. Also possible to rent gear if you do not own your own.

Already geared up and on the beach for a long overdue shore dive when had a regulator issue. Walked over to Deep Blue and able to rent one and back to the beach for a great dive. Thank you.

My Daughter just finished her open water course with Andreas... He was a great teacher, calm and very patient. The whole experience with Deep Blue Divers was great, I highly recommend you give them a try!! My first time diving was at Deep Blue Divers. Im a strong swimmer, but have always been a little nervous about diving. My experience here was great! Andres (the owner) took me diving, was very in charge and made me feel very secure and safe in an environment where I could have lost my cool and could have easily panicked. It was pretty amazing! I loved it, every minute of it! The reefs in Lauderdale by the Sea are beautiful... loads to see! Greatest SCUBA experience of all time! The staff was extremely accommodating and flexible with my schedule. I found everything I needed at a very reasonable price. This service was recommended to me by a friend and it over exceeded my expectations, would recommend to anyone!

Went to Deep Blue Dive Shop and requested a wreck dive, Andres asked about our skill level and recent dives. Our first and last 6 dives were 16 months ago, Andres advised us against a 60 wreck dive without a refresher because were still new divers and a lot of time had passed.We declined the refresher course and opted for the surf dive instead. (2 min walk to the beach)All that to say, Andres could have easily taken our money for the dive we wanted but he was looking out for our best interests and his advice was 100% correct.Andres demonstrated that Deep Blue Dive Shops number one priority is their customers safety, not the bottom line.Thank you Andres!If your going to dive around Ft. Lauderdale definitely use Deep Blue Dive Shop - theyve got your back.

My wife and I went here while we were on our honeymoon and a guy there named Dave was there to help us! He was so helpful and kind and quick to answer questions. He knew the answers to all of our questions and was quick to offer his sage advice. We rented snorkeling equipment and it was surprisingly cheap and we got the stuff for 24 hours! If you want to snorkel and see a live reef this this the place to go!

Perfect little dive shop! I had always been interested in scuba and decided to finally give it a try. The staff was friendly and helped me along with every question I had. In 3 days I was PADI certified. The shop is located just 1 block from the beach, where the first and second reefs can be reached from. These beautiful reefs provided for a breathtaking experience. It was an excellent time and I would recommend over and over again. Along with lessons, the shop also had everything else I needed, from a mask and fins to dive flags. Ask for Andres!!

Brought my family here for some first time snorkeling for the kids, and Dave was amazing! Helpful, knowledgeable, and great advice on what to do and where to go, including places to eat and see afterwards! Reasonably priced and solid gear, cant go wrong.

Friendly employee who was extremely helpful with places to go and phone numbers to call for surf conditions. Only thing that sucked was waiting in the rain for the owner to get there to open the store for us 10 minutes late so we could return our equipment.

Second time diving. Awesome experience! Great guide/owner. We had sooo much fun and saw so many neat things. Thank you!

Rent a snorkel here and go swim out to the reef. Its a wonderful experience you wont forget. The guy here will give you good directions on how to find stuff.

Great location, safe and knowledgeable staff. I have been diving from Lauderdale by the Sea since Andres opened shop over 20 years ago. Area has multiple dive options including beach diving. Am planning on certifying my nephew this month in preparation for his military service. I trust him with my family and you can too!

Rented 2 tanks. Took them out at the pier. Descended to 15ft and right away noticed a funny taste with the air. Tasted like Burnt Motor Oil.Well, contrary to safety, me and my wife continued the dive for another 15 mins before we both were hand signaling underwater that something was wrong. We had to bail on the dive. Felt like our lungs were coated in oil. We should have scrubbed the dive sooner.We took the mostly full tanks back to his shop only to see his phone ringing off the hook with other divers complaining about their tanks/air.We tried to tell him that there was something wrong with the the air in the tanks but he was frantically running around with his phone telling others that there was nothing wrong with his equipment. We just dropped the tanks off and left...BEWARE!If we were doing a deep dive this could have ended very badly.NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN!His equipment is like from the 70s and not properly serviced, just look inside and youll agree. That shop is an accident waiting to happen!We got pneumonia soon afterwards and couldnt dive for months! It took weeks to get that smell and taste out of our bodies!

My fiancée and I were visiting on our honeymoon- and were interested in snorkeling.Id been before, she never had. The guy at the dive shop gave us very little warning of how rough it was going to be- it looks choppy, was about as much as we got.Needless to say visibility was nothing, we got beat up out in the surf for a while, then, sputtering, stumbled back to the shop 20 minutes later.His reaction was tough luck- 20 minutes of use, and our $50 rental was no refunds.And yes, its our job to assess whether or not its a good day to go out, but this guy did just about everything he could to profit from our naïveté.So, if youre looking for screw you, got mine, this is the dive shop for you.

There was a minor fumble when a new employee didnt properly record my reservation for my certification check out dives but the owner of the shop stepped right in and made everything right on my timetable. He and the rest of the staff are very personable.

This is the place to go for Paddle Board rentals and checking out the local reefs. Best Beach Dive Shop in Broward County - Hands Down.
